    What's rank 1?

    @Jasix said:

Uhm there are no ranks in the game....

There are still ranks in the game we just see them as survivor grades, but you can still get a "hitting rank 10, hitting rank 1" achievement. If you don't believe me make an alt account and keep playing till you unlock it.

Lol... Imagine camping with hex plaything. That must be a really low mmr.

I don't play this game often but I already went through rank reset and I am still at baby grades getting rank 1 killers camping so either killer has low mmr or my mmr is high as heck. Either way, it's really stupid that I'm facing people who are supposed to actually know how to play the game and a lot of my matches are people who just want to camp the hook and get gen rushed for 1 kill.

I fake leave hook all the time when I know someone is nearby waiting for a save. I'll get hatemail for "camping" of course but they just need to do better at hiding and not sprinting into the area where I can see all the scratch marks they left.

Yep, I always wait for that when I play survivor. Personally I don't do it much as killer cause survivors who are gonna save recklessly when I'm hardly far away are still gonna do it without me having to mindgame it. And guess what Imma do? Make that 180 and get ready to slug the unhook, or I'll just eat their DS if I have momentum so they can't have it late game. The only way they won't deal with that is if I am closer to a generator being worked on. Cause I'd rather survivors waste time healing than use time on gens.

  • I mean. Deathslinger doesn't have good map pressure, he can just end chases really quickly. But other than that, I don't care if I vs someone good or bad, I just hate that survivors aren't taught by the devs themselves and the streamers they look up to that they need to stop calling everything unfair and not paying attention to how they play and how their actions had consequences. If the killer is bad they'll get a 0k even with noed in their build and a squad of Soloq survivors. If those survivors don't also play bad and get themselves killed then blame the killer.

If the killer is a camping bubba, why would you go up to save and then cry about going down?

Why would you run towards the hook while the killer is walking away and be mad they saw or heard you going then turn around to tunnel the person you unhooked?

Why would you stay doing the same generator that the killer keeps going back to check on and keeps downing and hooking people by?

Why would you use your unbreakable in front of the killer without being on a pallet, having sprintburst or being able to deadhard to a window or pallet?

Why would you keep healing in the killer's terror radius when the killer keeps magically popping up when you do it? That's a telltale sign of nurse's calling.

Why would you keep letting someone touch the generator you're on, or touching someone else's generator when whenever you're on a gen with someone else the killer keeps showing up? Tell tale sign of Discordance.

Why would you not cleanse totems if the killer is bad? Bad killers usually have NOED.

Why would you not bodyblock an injured person running near you if you're healthy? (Unless it's bubba or billy who'd be able to get an insta down)

Why would you spend more time healing than doing generators unless you're vsing a stealthy killer or in a 3gen?

Why would you not be cautious if the killer keeps going to generators when they're close to being done? Telltale sign of Tinkerer.

ETC. Moral of the story is, bad killers only kill survivors who make bad decisions. To deal with our issues of latency and stuff survivors have a lot of second chance perks. It also helps to run a medkit so you can heal yourself mid-chase or when no one else can. If I want to play survivor to my most annoying potential I bring a medkit cause tunneling is normal in low and high ranks and I leave botany on my main build so I can heal faster to counter sloppy butcher, slugging, as well as heal myself mid-chase. If I vs a bad killer, they won't kill me unless the gens don't get done while I'm being chased or for whatever reason I have a brainfart and make a costly mistake.

  • They're laughable, don't even bother. More reason why they need to listen to players/streamers who have thousands of hours in both killer and survivor and were rank 1 in both even before they went messing with emblems and stuff.

  • I'm a killer main who runs it on most if not all of my killers. It's not OP, that can get cleansed early game. And it's still easily countered by Gen-Rushers who spread out. Killers cannot push more than one person off of a gen at a time and cannot chase more than one person at a time. We don't have any OP abilities contrary to irrational popular belief.

Also, when I play survivor, I'm not even going to bother looking for undying and ruin unless the killer is getting work off of it. If it takes us like 5 minutes to pop 1 generator because my teammates are playing bad and can't all stick to generators. I'm going to look for it and cleanse it. It helps to memorize totem spawn locations on every map so you know what places to check first. It's rng but knowing the possible spots makes it that much easier.

No! I want to sacrifice myself to prevent second stage on hooked survivor.

Then tap the hooked survivor till the killer swings and then unhook them. But if you don't have BT, don't be mad if the killer knocks them down again instead of you. Killers have goals too, not just survivors. And please keep in mind that if the killer is leaving the hook and they HEAR or SEE you going to the hooked person they're leaving, there is a high chance they will turn right back around and try to grab you off the hook, or tunnel the person you rescued in their face. They weren't camping in that situation, you just got spotted at the same time they were going off to check generators.

I hope you realize with matchmaking the way it is no, you can't just "Do Bones". I'm red ranked and get matched with all sorts of people. Usually very low ranked survivors and killers. Brown ranks don't know what totems are and they're way to scared to actually go into the open and cleanse them. If I'm running around making saves AND doing gens because everyone is self caring on the other side of the world in what universe do I have time to do bones? You don't.

NOED needs a change. Don't remove it, but change it. Rank 1 on both sides and I never use NOED. Even when I started playing I never used NOED. It's a cheap perk that rewards bad play and everyone knows it. If I play badly during a match how is it fair to anyone that I get 2+ kills because of one perk? It's not.

Had a game last night against a Huntress with tier 1 NOED. 2 consoles and 2 PCs. Consoles died farming themselves off the hook and not knowing how to loop at all. Me and the other PC had to do 3 gens by ourselves. We literally Ping Ponged her between gens just to get them done. The game took over 35 minutes (Consoles died in less then 6). We popped the last gen and went to separate gates only for her to M1 the other guy and facecamp them on first hook until they died. We played as best we could and 1 perk screwed the other guy over. Now granted, we could have done bones after that gen had popped, but we'd been in that one match for over half an hour. If we spent time looking for all of them we would've been in there for lord only knows how much longer.

That killer did not deserve the last kill she got and in no other PvP game (Feel free to correct me) is there a system that allows that.

    OPTIONS:

    1. Loop the crap out of killer and escape
    2. Loop the crap out of killer till they leave you for someone else and escape OR try to find and cleanse noed. Because I know totem spawns like the back of my hand on most of these maps, I most of the time find and cleanse noed.
    3. Also something I do: Pay attention to where you see totems while in chase and be ready to check it end-game if the killer plays very bad
    4. In the case that a hooked survivor is near the noed totem, and the killer is camping them both. It will take a TEAM effort for someone to distract him and someone to unhook and run. Do not go there by yourself if you notice noed is by the hooked survivor then get mad the killer is camping and slaps you down. You killed yourself by walking into that
    5. I can honestly swear that I've rarely died to noed. If I go down to noed it's cause I was in a zone without pallets or windows to work with for long enough, because I ALWAYS assume a bad killer has noed crutch and will cleanse totems when I can. NOED is NOT a meta perk, if it were, more red rank killers would use it.

    @Kazim said:

it's very sad when you die for noed it's true but that means you only know how to repair and you don't know how to loop

They can't cleanse totems or memorize pattern spawns for totems either, yet make it to rank 1.

  • If I realized I've hooked like 4+ times and I don't see 1 survivor in particular. I will make them my #1 target. Especially if I know they are saving people and or popping gens whenever I'm on someone else, they just want to keep hiding from me. Even if I have to slug to focus on them, I will. Because if they 3-gen themselves guess who's the higher liability of making my 4k keep the game hostage for a little while?

In the case there is a 3-gen situation and unfortunately the survivors become overly stealthy. I start to play dumb and act nice. I hit generators or stand in a pallet and hit the pallet, or I act dumb and start walking around a particular tile looking confused and dumb and opening lockers in case that helps. Sometimes it helps them come out and try to be nice to me and sometimes it makes them come out and try to do gens. And then I slaughter as many of them as I can.

I don't think they should be punished for being overly stealthy because some survivors are only overly stealthy on last hook, or to cleanse hex ruin before they do generators and I think those are smart strategies. Not how I play, but I respect it.

  • @CremelloJoJo said:

I really want to agree with this because I've had similar experiences, especially along the lines of having killed someone and then getting said dead survivor on my team...therefor getting sandbagged as a means of revenge.

But ban systems can be highly abused, I feel like if something like this was implemented, anyone could report anyone for the slightest inconvenience. I've known people to freak out when random survivors bring the killer to them while in a chase, it's not always intentional, not everyone runs Bond (I do for this reason, so I can leg it away from loops I know a teammate is working on a gen in, or if someone's running the killer to ME)

It's a huge grey area, just like the DC ban system - the game cannot decipher a crash from a rage quit because a lot of people rage quit by closing the app, a crash or internet taking a dump pretty much does the same thing...while I agree with you, I really don't think it'd work sadly, too many genuine people would end up receiving unnecessary bans.

Yeah that's why I was thinking it should count votes from multiple matches not just one, in an effort to prevent it from being abused. Because honestly, I could care less if someone is sandbagging me for trolling purposes cause I'll just play along and turn it into a sandbag game with them and I've had hilarious matches like that. But when the people come into the post game chat telling me why they sandbagged me and why they tried to lure the killer to me and keep me from getting the hatch, etc; and they tell me it's some dumb reason like thinking I wasn't doing gens because they got hooked and saw me come out the locker hiding from bbq, revenge for being killed, or because I didnt heal them while I'm rushing a generator before the killer can down someone and pop it and what not. I'm like. This is entitlement and ignorance at it's finest and I think that the Devs need to do something about it because Dbd is literally the most toxic game I've played in a long time despite not having as much hackers in the game as most other ones full of toxicity. And it's MAINLY THE SURVIVORS. Most of them don't even want to git gud at the game and fully educate themselves on both roles and how perks and mechanics work but want everything to be balanced around their ignorance. It needs to stop, this meme needs to die, they need consequences for these types of actions now.

It'd be nice if they gave estimated wait times so players didn't have to just wait with no clue how long it'll be.

Didnt they try doing that on pc before? Earlier 2019? Or am I imagining things? I could almost swear I remember queing up and seeing something like "Estimated Wait Time *less than sign* 7minutes"

Huntress suffers on large maps. Guess what 80% of maps are? Not to mention the hatchets hitboxes getting caught on every single particle of air and getting blocked.

Seriously, I dunno if it's dedicated servers cause before Dedicated I rarely played huntress so I can't remember if it was better or worse to throw her hatchets but I swear now I get caught on any random ass invisible hitbox. I know I'm aiming right for the survivor/their direction and my hatchets keep being cucked.

OP, I've been seeing a lot of huntresses lately in my survivor games, i assume people are trying to experiment new ruin with certain killers like huntress's ability. Maybe even oni or billy more, maybe even wraith more idk. But I have seen a lot of sorry huntresses.

  • queue times have always been a dbd issue, unfortunately. I never know when I'm gonna wait 4 seconds or 40 minutes. PC/PS4

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/123839/ruin-nerf-literally-killed-solo-survivor-queue-times

It was inevitable that this Ruin change would filter out the killers that don’t truly know how to play this game from those that never needed Ruin to begin with.

The upside I see is that BHVR will work on further map balancing. And any new players we get won’t be tarnished with an unhealthy perception of old Ruin.

Either you know how to play killer or you don't. Old Ruin was needed because majority of maps are unbalanced and Idk what you mean by FURTHER map balance when there is practically none to begin with and even the rework they did to freddy's map and the game for example did nothing but add a buttload more palettes. when good survivors need less than 10 to make it out of a match. On my swf team we can dominate using as little as 4 palettes on maps with the most broken loops/gyms/routes.

Maps are the reason why gens pop so fast, your post reads as survivor biased to me but idk if I'm just reading it wrong. I like to see myself as non biased since I play both but tbh playing survivor especially experienced is brain dead easy. Its all about team work to get those gens done and the gens will go fast if the map makes it hard for the killers to apply pressure. Which the majority of them do. Nurse is still #1 top tier for that reason, it's supposed to be common sense.

  • @Inji said:

Calm Spirit is one of those gems that people forget about really easily. I have been using it quite a bit and even if you are not against Doctor its really nice since it has such a diverse use against certain killers perks/powers.

At low ranks and inexperienced killers yes. Top notch killers will just laugh when you get smacked or hooked and no sound comes out.

Best off using Iron Will, OP. It's a meta perk at high ranks for a reason. And the only perks you should care about are the ones that are meta at rank 1.If you're going to be in an infectious fright radius anyway you better be on a gen, because if you're just doing nothing for the team then you're obviously going to let your team down. (And then blame it on the killer *if* you're an entitled, short minded survivor main who doesn't take responsibility for being useless because the devs encourage this behavior)

  • You basically gotta play as if ruin doesn't exist. slug and watch hooks more and watch your points take a hit because the devs punish you for being forced to play that way against DS, BT, Unbreakable, Medkits, Toolboxes, Keys, swf, survivor sided maps, Dead Hard, Stealthy people, Flashlights, etc Then they have sounds so broken that Spirit isnt even as reliable as she was when she first came out.

  • Its not even going to be a late game perk, it's a perk that will only be useful if the killer can keep juggling all 4 survivors and that is extremely difficult as it is against actual optimal survivors, whether they play good or not. If the survivors are optimal on the gens ruin is now far more useless. This was the brain child of braindead survivor mains who know nothing about playing killer but think that if they can kill a few baby survivors they're hot #########. baby survivors make countless mistakes, so they're easy to catch in their accidents. Good survivors on the other hand. Especially a team full of them. You're nothing but their puppet and any control you think you have you'll realize isn't really yours quickly. There needs to be actual good killer/survivor players who are ambitious and inventive with both roles balancing this game out for us and fixing the tutorials in game.

  • But apparently the devs do when they nerf doctor because his weak ass can see people across the map like anyone cares. I RARELY play against a doctor. let alone one who doesn't DC from rage.

Sometiems I think that the devs have people spying on Killer Main streams, and if really good Killer players do meh with a weak killer or think they found a good close to viable (in tru3's sense of the word) way to use a killer. Then that killer gets a nerf secretly planned and later executed.

  • DS is still meta

Balanced Landing was literally unbalanced ironically

Mettle of Man was also unbalanced

    BT is still meta

Ruin is only meta against a bad team assuming it even lasts all game and most of the time it does not because totem spawns are trash for most maps and you can learn totem spawn points and just run to them to check if the hex is up. It's not unbalanced at all. I've never seen a self-made red rank survivor with skill complain that ruin is op. Just. Saying.

  • Yeah and this dumb dumb is the reason why whenever I actually feel like playing survivor, espeically swf, the killers lobby dodge or dc for most of our games. Just last night I tried to play swf and killers lobby dodged us for 3 hours straight until I had the genius Idea to go in as a default dwight with no items and another player went as a baby meg. then all of a sudden killers stopped lobby dodging. Mind you this is a team of 3 rank 1s and 1 rank 7 by their own skill, not swf boosting. Even red rank killers didnt want to deal with the STRESS of 4 man swf.

Out of 4 hours of trying to play swf only 2 killers did not DC or lobby dodge, but one of them gave up midway through and tried to farm. He tells killers to play survivor for a while like he doesn't know their stats show that most if not all killer mains play survivor a lot more than survivor mains play killer.

At least before nerfing killers some more, have the decency to fix the sounds so killers can track survivors directly next to them or on the other side of the wall. And remove the delay before scratch marks appear so survivors don't have to make 2-3 step distance before the scratchmarks finally appear since they need so much more power.

It's like to work as a tester and game designer at bhvr you have to be more interested in making the killers play like bots so survivors can have a causal game and keep spending money on cosmetics while killer mains keep getting every killer nerfed right after the purchase.

    Git Gud

@Scgamecock86 Nice fairy tale, tell me more about how removing instaheals from the arsenals of survivors at high ranks is me wanting to remove "EVERYTHING powerful" in the game, and how removing Instaheals is going to make the game "less interesting" for killers and allow us to "steamroll through every match". Please, we're waiting. And while you're at it please tell us why I would only want Instaheals removed because I lost to them when I can also get mad at survivor perks like some other killers because I've lost to stuff like DS, BT, MoM, etc.

    @tehshadowman33 said:

    @Kurisataru

Thanks! The idea for my rework of instaheals is it becomes a risk vs. reward option.

If you have a GOOD survivor against a GOOD killer, the survivor has the option of:

    1) Keep moving

    2) Risk the channeled action giving the killer JUST enough time to land a killing blow

So whenever line of sight is broken between killer and survivor... That is when the survivor is presented this choice... Do I want to use the instaheal? Let's even be generous in saying that this channeled action is not considered a 'healing' action, so things like Nurse's Calling won't function during the time spent channeling.

Unless your build includes Calm Spirit, the Red instaheal will reveal your location to the killer via popup (NOTE: This is NOT an aura, because that'd make red instaheals complete garbage vs. a good Nurse player), or it's going to reveal the survivor teammate you healed from dying to full health.

I think it makes things more interesting without letting players get away with cheese, frame advantage, and everyone stacking the survivor team with ×4 insta heals.

    :D

@tehshadowman33 I kinda still would need to see an idea like that in action to get it but I do like that it removes that crummy quick healing right before getting hit thing, though I've never had that happen to me personally I've seen a popular survivor streamer do it a lot. But lets not say IHs are broken because then you are trying to remove' every single thing that's powerful in the game and steamroll through matches" because no instaheals. As our friend Scgamecock86 would say.

@SasukeKun Nice name, I wouldn't worry about brand new parts personally, they're pretty weak for a red item imo and I used to try using them a lot as a baby survivor. I still use them just to get them out of my inventory but they don't lift a huge weight imo. I don't know about your experience.

@Spirit_Hag Yeah that happens it's being fixed as of this month (took so long). And on top of that, watching the lobby ping you join in helps. You are more likely to experience it more in bad ping. BotanyxSelfcare and Medkits with good add-ons are great for healing fast. I'm going to keep preaching it because I use botany/selfcare on my main survivor build and heal after EVERY chase I escape or the killer quits on. I even use it while I'm being chased in small instances where I can. We don't need instaheals when they can be abused with no skill needed. Its one of those things that's just so broken that the killer can lose ALL momentum in a given situation, usually close to or at endgame.

They are complaining hard about adrenaline and even the current BT too. Things aren't ever going to be fair when one side uses their OP tools and the other side decides not to use them.

I am pretty sure that even if we get to the point when the match starts each survivor finds the nearest hook and jumps on it for the killer, that mediocre killers will still complain it took too long.

I also believe there should be some blood point and even emblem bonus for not using OP tools and facing them from the other side in a trial.

@darktrix BT and Adrenaline are fine as is imo. But it is dumb to see someone heal up with adrenaline and then if I'm able to catch them again some turds show up with instaheals and bodyblocking and possibly bt if I catch anyone else. This is usually a swf kind of scenario in my experience. The instaheal is the only thing in that situation that I'd blame. Not BT, not Adrenaline. I couldve gotten 1-2 kills had it not been for people being able to pop a instaheal and take some hits like lol sucker tables turned you can't get our friend who messed up during a chase before and after adrenaline because we IH them.

    @Animalheadskull said:

We as a community can't keep asking for nerfs and removal of items addons etc when we get hit with it in match and are salty about it. It's getting ridiculous with the nerf this remove this delete that so I'll have my perfect lil game where everything goes my way.

@Scgamecock86 Actually we can because this game is famously imbalanced and toxic because of it. Neutrality isn't going to fix it.

    @BismarckCane said:

The main thing to remember is (and I play both sides), survivors often try and compare this as a 1 v 1, this is a 1 v 4 game. So take that into consideration before we cry that a killer is more powerful then my 1 survivor.

When I see the MOM comments it speaks volumes, that perk gave survivors 4 extra hits to track down. It may have been balanced against a nurse or Spirit but an M1 forget about it.

And per the topic, insta- heals are not used in 90% of the games from Rank 5-20. In red ranks you see them about 40% of the time, the primary issue is the game is not balanced to red ranks and thus this can mean a loss to many killers. (which does not mean you wont pip, you just may not get a 4k pip, but a 2k black)

    @BismarckCane Thanks

    @Cymer said:

    I think instaheals are ok.

Yes, they seam unfair and they are powerful, but they are also very rare add-ons. Like Iri-Head huntress.

As long we encounter them once in a blue moon, let them have it, but if it becomes standard it needs to be tweaked.

Like works only once per survivor, need to meet a prerequisite like a number of safe unhooks or only usable after 1./2. hook.

There are options to tone them down, if they become too oppressive.

Maybe even limit the amount of Syringes you can store in your survivor inventory.

@Cymer I still disagree with having IH in general because like I and many others have said, 1 IH is enough to kill a lot of momentum. They don't "seem" unfair and powerful. They are when survivors have a crap ton of second chance perks to pair with them. BUT. The devs are trying to work on hitboxes and one thing I personally disliked about going against a huntress was that hatchet hitbox. Thankfully the devs are trying to put in fixes for hitboxes at last. Huntress's hatchets still need some work, but even against an iri head huntress I don't feel any more threatened than I would against any killer that's not a nurse. I run unbreakable (a second chance perk) so if she tries slugging me mid-late game it's just back in business for me. Botany+SelfCare myself while chasing her through hell if I'm being good and when she misses hatchets over things. She's one of the killers I find easiest to heal up against while being chased. Like with moris and prayer beads and insta chainsaw, the killer isnt guaranteed a kill for using them, they still have to put in work and the survivors can still all escape with or without IH. IH are just gonna basically murder the killer's potential if they're in the wrong hands. Aka high skilled survivors.

    @tehshadowman33 said:

I wouldn't have any problem with them if they couldn't be used in a chase. It would take a channeled action to use, and it still consumes the medkit.

    Purple: 2.5 Second channel.

Red: 3 Second channel and also causes the survivor to scream, revealing their location (like Doctor/Infectious Fright).

EDIT: This would also prevent that frame-perfect input garbage of where killer can swing to down a survivor, and they heal to full health while killer goes on weapon wipe cooldown.

@tehshadowman33 Intersting....Not sure if I'd agree to it, but I definitely would like to try it.

Don't really know how it would make a difference since IH are usually used around the killer.

@Kurisataru No one wants M1 killers buffed on the survivor side. They also want nerfs for the trio of power. You cannot have both. People say a lot of false stuff to drum up a false narrative but a killer should NEVER be dependent on add-ons to do good and a survivor shouldn't have something that could destroy all the progress that a killer has put in since its 1 vs 4. Keys are fine. I use them sometimes.

I rarely use Mori's but you piss me off and I'll reserve one for you. Mori's give INSTANT pressure for ANY killer. Keys do the opposite. It's a free ESCAPE by doing gens. Since the hatch spawns at all times now, you have 2 key types that give you the same escape effect. You want mori's gone? Take away keys and insta-heals. Keys don't care how well you did and insta-heals removes any pressure that you did have on the game in an instant.

Mori's do both. Instant pressure and helps you with the other 3. If you don't want all of that taken away, don't ask about mori's. Besides, we LOSE our add-ons. You guys don't if you survive. Most killers rely HEAVILY on their add-ons to have a chance. I tried buffing Trapper by making his trap hit box slightly wider and I got down-voted and told that he was fine and to get gud. The Trapper. THE TRAPPER. XD

@AStupidMonkeyy The trapper "is good" lol meanwhile sometimes survivors can see him while stealthing laying traps then come over and disengage them when he starts walking away or telling their swf if any where it is. Pair that with losing Hex:Ruin and watch how fine The Trapper is. Lets add adrenaline, Instaheals, Dead Hard over his traps at palettes, balanced landing away from a loop he trapped, the lost momentum of placing and picking up traps, etc lmfao. Trapper is fine, don't buff his weak traps you need to git gud.

You're so right, people, mainly survivor players from what we all see or people who barely play killer and do so at low ranks where it's different have so much to compare that just. Isn't comparable. Moris to IH? Spirit, Billy, Huntress Add-Ons that they still gotta put skill into to win with to IH? I play perkless survivor sometimes just to be in a room full of matching survivors I didn't level up and the only changes are that even if I know I can make a chase last way longer with dead hard, I don't have it so I have to take the down. Also I have to look for people to heal me since I can't heal myself, and I cn't pick myself up with unbreakable if I'm slugged for a long time. And there are some (actually most) killers I don't even care to heal against if I'm in genrush mode. I don't hate survivor perks at all, MoM is iffy depending on who's used it, map, and who I'm playing as, I think survivor add ons except IHs are perfectly fine too. But they can't be yelling at people to git gud and stop asking for nerfs if they have so many crutches and being a viable killer is a challenge for their benefit BY GAME DESIGN.

@Kurisataru I am a killer main, real one not pretending one, just see my YouTube for confirmation, and I think moris shouldn't exist.

They are pretty toxic so I would remove anything which is toxic from the game.

So even thought I understand where you coming from I cannot accept toxic stuff in dbd because it simply spoils the fun.

    Regards

@DBDbuildsYT I don't use moris personally anyway because they don't help me with bloodpoints and they don't guarantee I can get kills. I couldn't care less if moris disappear, but they aren't op is all I'm saying. Killer and survivor standpoint I know they aren't ez mode like some people say because the killer still has to work for it which means there are still survivors who can out mindgame the killer and stealth from the killer and finish the match without anyone being mori'd. The only mori I can understand being called op is myers grabbing people from 10 miles away and his knife doesn't even pierce through the survivor. Toxic moris? Yeah definitely, mori spamming and myers space grab. But if survivors can talk to each other and run on crazy surv-sided maps, killers should be allowed to run mori's as backup and *TRY* use the<BUGGEDCOMMENTBOX>gets killed by a mori then that's on them, it is what it is but they don't need instaheals in general when they have medkits with addons and botany x selfcare. If a killer can catch you with a mori then you dun goofed. Killers don't put on moris and start spamming m1 for it to work, not op. Also, I'd love to check out your yt channel if you don't mind linking it because I couldn't find it even with the channel filter.

I presonally don't mind facing either, mories, flashlights, strong addons, anything really. I like the diversity in gameplay all of these create.

What I don't like are short matches and since survivors now can only rush gens or troll the killer, I'd love to se another objective for them to solve both.

@Kebek I mosty agree, if the matches were longer, then instaheals would not be broken. They can c.block your kills so hard once you reach late in the game. They can hold it till late and use it when all of them are last hook. At least if the game was longer then there is a better chance of the killer being able to work through those survivors who heal on last hook since there will be more time needed to genrush and escape with a second chance IH after someone(s) got downed after their adrenaline kicked in.

@Warlock_2020 Healing was nerfed for a legit reason and botany x selfcare is a gracious combo. I've said it so many times in this thread and I'm waiting for someone to address me on it. But like I said before it's a highly underrated combo so people are going to keep complaining about wanting to nerf instaheals until they pick up survivor and use botany x selfcare with and without medkits and addons.

    Killer Add-Ons:

    1. Ataxic Respiration is only OMEGA blink Nurse with another add-on and longer stun.
    2. Campbell's Last Breath is only 2 extra blinks (4 blinks total, not 5)
    3. Fragrant Tuft Of Hair requires 2 and a half full stalks from 3 out of 4 survivors and takes forever
    4. Tuning guide is just a small buff to charge time (decreases the charge time by 1 second to 3 seconds total and small, insignificant buffs to other things and not as good since Tinkerer got changed AND you need Primer Bulb with old Tinkerer to be considered Insta-Chainsaw (1 and half second chainsaw rev) so that isn't true.
    5. Mint Rag is only good for map pressure every 15 seconds. (It's not the best)
    6. Iridescent Head REQUIRES Infantry Belt for ANY use and without wind-up add-ons, it's alright. Easier than facing Nurse or Billy.
    7. Prayer Beads is alright (Can still tell where she is by grass moving, sounds of her footsteps on wood, grass and metal plus crows fly away give her location away.
    8. Mother-Daughter Ring is crap. Fastest movement but can't see scratch marks without using the other ultra add-on and that means you have to hit a survivor to even track a good survivor who can still mind game you.
    9. Mori (Both types) You got to catch and hook a survivor then catch them again to mori (fair)

    Survivor Add-Ons:

    1. Odd-Bulb only increases the blind TIME for 2 and half extra seconds (not insta)
    2. Anti-Hemorrhaging Needle is straight bullshit (gives 2 free health states instantly)
    3. Styptic Agent is slightly worse but alright (gives 1 free health state instantly)
    4. Brand New Part (New) It's alright. Doesn't do too much and is fine as is.
    5. Commodious Toolboxes is annoying. Lots of charges with no downsides and fast gen repairs that doesn't get hurt that much by Franklins' Demise.
    6. Purple Flashlights can instantly make you drop a survivor for a free get-away with an easy to time button press and aim.
    7. Keys (Both types) You get a free escape that a killer CANNOT stop once used and EVERYONE can use the hatch for a free get-away plus extra BPs (fair)

@AStupidMonkeyy You obviously play both roles and many killers not just a couple then speak for all the other killers. Thanks for posting in, it's worth it really. imo though the purple and green toolboxes are only intimidating with good add ons and gen tapping. By themselves they seem fine. I will swim through ruin without a skillcheck if they have crazy addons though. I wouldnt nerf toolboxes I would just like to see higher rank survivors need more objectives or take longer to repair gens but the tradeoff is that they can get more bps for actions as to not make them want to derank because even if they were to die early and not do much they'd have the same or close to the same bp for messing around in a lower rank match cleansing and repairing and healing. Man, I'm ready to go on about M1s vs good survivors and people comparing removing instaheals to moris. Like ######### does that even come from? Moris aren't even threatening if the killer is not smarter than the survivor(s).

  • @DBDbuildsYT said:

Both insta heals and mori need to go obviously

    @YouGotMeHooked said:

Remove or Nerf moris if you’re going to take out insta heals, it’s a fair trade then.

@DBDbuildsYT @YouGotMeHooked Moris are not op if the killer has to work for it and they can still be countered by optimal players swf or not. be smart with aultrism and chasing and try to keep from being genlocked if you think the killer has a mori ready. Even when I play survivor I'm going to try to do the gens in an order so that the killer has to travel far between the last gens if I think they have a mori or noed or at least do the unsafe gens asap. Moris don't even guarantee a 4k!

@Theluckyboi I don't agree with all of them, however some of these killer add-ons should be changed.

I also think that insta-heals are the bigger problem currently. M1 killers have to deal with 2 insta-heals per match often already at green ranks.

Also, a very important difference: Insta-heals don't require any skill at all, just like the old MoM. A Huntress still has to hit the survivors, a Nurse still has to know how to blink.

    @Maelstrom10 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/543881#Comment_543881

Brand new part isin't even as efficient as just the speed add-ons and good perks/others on the same gen. Tbh I don't even think it qualifies for ultra rare status anymore. That being said it doesn't deserve rare status it's just.. in a weird place, anymore buff and it would be too op and any less and suddenly it's not an ultra rare.

Odd bulb doesn't allow for insta stuns anymore so no longer op. That being said mixed with halogen bulb you can lose the killer with it, but as a tool to save others? Nerfed to the ground.

Mint rag isin't that op tbh, I've barely ever noticed it though when paired with the no trap set off I can agree. If anything i'm game to go on record for saying bodyblocker hag or silent traps hag can be more op. Even the hindered add-on has caught me more times then mint rag. Don't get me wrong it's incredibly strong but it's balanced.

Iridecent head ain't broken though a rework would make it more fair. The extra hatchets addon is what makes it a bit unfair but even still it can be countered by good dodging and stealth.

Mother daughter ring and prayer beads are deffinately not overpowered in any form, however together they are incredibly deadly. You have to realise you have to commit two rare add-ons for a specific ultra powerful build

Fragrant tuft of hair is op, but it's on a killer whose mid tier and I honestly don't think it's unfair tbh. Might be biased as a Micheal main but still I've vs'ed it as survivor and 4 man'shave escaped against it.

Tuning guide isn't op. Not in the slightest.

Ataxic respiration and Campbell's soup I mean breath... Tbh it's more nurse being already at base incredibly strong, that these add-ons give her both extra chances to pull off her ludicrous strength, and make her stronger. These are the only add-ons you listed that need to be tweaked. Not nerfed, tweaked.

@Theluckyboi Hag is always going to be in danger by flashlight users, especially ones who know to crouch. That's why NOED is a great perk on her because if you end up getting into a game with people who have flashlights. (And entity forbid anyone purposely loads into the game as hag seeing flashlights in the lobby) and they keep destroying your traps and evading them then end of the game comes you can get at least one kill if you're lucky. NOED on hag is literally the only time I'd want to use noed on a killer and I don't even use it all the time with her even.

@Theluckyboi @miaasma Sorry guys but I agree with Maelstrom10 and NoshinyPony

@Maelstrom10 Agreed 100%, even mother daughter ring. From both a spirit main standpoint and a survivor standpoint I can say is countered by swf, good chasers/stealthers, and genrushing. I think it gives you a high chance of getting kills if you can play spirit well but you're not guaranteed a 4k like with a good nurse. Billy's tuning guide is not op. There are horrible maps where his chainsaw is useless and a montage of good survivors who are crazy good at dodging his chainsaw. Also, as much as I hate going against a slugging huntress with Iridescent head, running unbreakable and being good at stealth in dodging is great for countering. I run unbreakable all the time because there are a lot of killers who feel the need to slug multiple people and so many times just me, 1 person having unbreakable ruined their potential 4k, iridescent head huntress is no exception. Lets not forget either huntress is also crazy limited by maps, limited hatchets, 110% speed, reload times so it wouldnt be fair to remove that from her.

@NoShinyPony Yep yep yep, preach it

  • @miaasma said:

you realize instablinds don't exist anymore and brand new parts are terrible for an ultra rare addon, right? even if 4 people bring brand new parts the effect is hardly different from someone running prove thyself or using a commodius with addons

speaking of which something people don't really talk about is that commodius toolboxes are completely broken and should totally be nerfed

    @NoShinyPony said:

The insta-heals don't have to go entirely, but they have to be changed a bit so that they can't be used in a chase.

Outside of a chase, insta-heals could still exist as a time-server for survivors.

For example, insta-heals could be adjusted like the Brand New Part. They wouldn't give a full health stage, but maybe like 50-75% and come with several skill checks. They would still be a time saver, but hardly usable during a chase.

    @fergusan said:

You know I did play this game for 2-3 years. Even before you have started playing. Went from killers to survivors then get bored of one going back to the other and so on because you want to find ways of how to counter killers and survivors after any nerf or change they have made.. Now don't get me wrong but yes the survivors in the past were dominating and most of the time if not all the time the killer was the victim not the survivors. In those years of me playing guess what has happened? Constant nerfs to survivors, bug fixes to mostly killers, buffs to killers and changes to killers. Nerfs to maps, no more infinite windows nor alot of pallets. Can't sab certain hooks anymore to save another survivor etc etc etc. Can't even remember it all anymore because I was sick of reading patch notes all about killers in those two years until devs realised that they haven't done anything for the survivors. Yet I don't really think anything has been really done apart from again nerfing perks of survivors because apparently it's overpowered. Overpowered why? You are scared of letting go 4 survivors because they outplayed you with the things the game has given to them. They don't have infinite syringes the so called insta heals in their inventory and you know that unless you save them over couple of years and still have probably like 10? Or little more and because it's so rare nobody really wants to bring it out only on certain occasions - just like eboni ;) Not every survivor is able or knows how to use it or when is the right time. I've played against alot of insta heals and they still haven't made out alive because I passively tunneled them. Meaning you are being toxic back. Right? Now you are moaning about good survivors. YES a skill is a skill. Do you really think it took them a 100 hrs to become so good?no. Thousands of hours buddy. Just like becoming a master killer that nobody wants to meet and you just see them slugging everyone before the survivors even have touched gens. At my 200hrs of playing that game I didn't even know still what the flipping syringe was for or how should it be used until I realised I should check online. Then I ran it for a couple of games and yet I've only probably saved one survivor the rest died including me. As of SWF yes we ran those things in rank 1 and we still got destroyed by very good killers who doesn't give a flying fly what you have and will still get you no matter what. You honestly sound very inexperienced. You know why? Because you can't find the solution but crying to devs to get rid of it. Don't worry you are not alone there is been hundred of threads like this and thousands of threads to nerf NOED since the game came out. The hex that everyone hates even some killers. Did anyone listen? No I don't think so. People have given up that's why the toxicity comes. They probably think you run a NOED anyways so might as well ruin your day just like you ruin theirs. In fact I am a main micey and I was rank 2 or 1 and never had to run a NOED since his kit is different and I've learnt my ways of countering insta heals. Never liked any other killers because he suited my playstyle. If you want to learn all the killers go on play months and years and find ways of how to counter Swf. Then you say oh I don't wanna play a certain killer or two to counter Swf.

Well you sound like someone who is unwilling to learn how to play against them. You get anxiety in games so maybe you should take a longer break or never come back to it because apparently insta heals is op and it does give you anxiety. There is always room for learning new things and you losing a game is not because someone brought an insta heal. Maybe you haven't tried enough? Maybe you did a mistake and they used it against you. You have only played this game for a short time which is a year and a very little because you've taken some time off of it. You need to understand that insta heal is not overpowered as the decisive strike was. That was the main tool for every toxic survivor and for those who are very experienced - yet they lose alot of games because of others who are less experienced than them. So I don't see your whole point of typing this out. What it sounds like is your frustrations that you can't overcome. Good luck

@fergusan I read that entire wall just to respond to you so you didn't write all that for nothing. I was not moaning about good survivors in general, I also never said survivor perks were op. You seem to like putting words I didn't say or imply and opinions I didn't say or imply to my text. I was moaning about good survivors using crutch perks and worst of all insta-heals made to help beginner survivors. Survivor perk nerfs aren't even bad. At all. From when you played they nerfed self care, they gave exhaustion perks exhaustion cause they had none before, and whatever other stuff I don't know but I promise you. I play survivor enough, and Botany/Selfcare is strong. Pair it with a medkit WITHOUT instaheals attached and the survivor can heal while being chased still. I DO IT EVERY TIME I PLAY SURVIVOR. It is cancer if used by a GOOD survivor. I rarely see that combo being used though because most survivors want to use stuff like DS, MOM, Adrenaline, and plain selfcare instead. Botany/SelfCare is HIGHLY underrated and the devs don't seem to know that because they're busy making more imbalanced perks for survivors. I would not call for it to be nerfed though because like I said, it's only good in the hands of skilled survivors unlike insta-heals. Also not to offend you but if you think that getting multiple instaheals and being able to get 4k is common against good survivors at high ranks then I'm going to assume you only play against inexperienced or dumb survivors when that happens. Tunneling or not, that is not a likely scenario and that makes YOU sound inexperienced as a killer. I have a friend who's been playing this game as release who only has like 20 hours of killer on him and I'm getting that kind of vibe from you reading this. You think Ebony Moris are op? I will never understand how some people can think moris are op when you actually have to put in work to use them WHICH MEANS that as a killer against good survivors with tons of second chance perks and insta heals you still won't have a chance to use it sometimes; yes an ebony too. I can understand saying a mori is op if it's myers grabbing you from like 10 miles away. Even then you don't get rewarded much for using moris and I personally don't use them unless I have a daily. Also, you've brought up that you never had to wear noed at high rank killer. Most high rank killers don't even care to use noed anyway. It's a wasted perk slot because smart skilled survivors aren't intimidated by it, it is counterable it is not OP. I assume NOED was the "hex nobody likes" that you mentioned. NOED is not imbalanced at all, especially with swf, totem cleansing being a thing, and if a survivor can predict early that the killer has it and rush to open the gates or cleanse. etc etc. You tell me I sound inexperienced but, I think you sound inexperienced as a a killer as soon as you mentioned survivor nerfs as if they're helpless, and saying instaheals don't affect you because you can tunnel. That's not a big brain strat. Every killer tries it and it doesn't always work. End of the day sometimes only 1 instaheal can break the game. Especially if they're used late in the game when gens are almost done or already done.

@NoShinyPony May I introduce you to botany knowledge and self care? Better yet, with a side of medkit with or without add-ons? That's the same as your idea. You still gotta work for the heal, get a skillcheck, IF you even get one and it's still super fast. We don't need InstaHeals.

    @miaasma

Totally agree. i have better luck gen tapping with a purple/green toolkit with strong add-ons that arent BNP. It's the one time I gen tap because it's crazy fast anyway.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Instaheals create a math problem at red ranks especially. Let's take an average SWF for example and assume Ruin isn't present. If every survivor is working on gens unless otherwise occupied, they will only need to heal once in the entire trial to avoid death hook. Any health state before death hook is completely healthy from a generator efficiency standpoint. It doesn't matter when, and it doesn't matter how the heal occurs (Adrenaline, insta, ect.) So what these groups often do is just sit on gens and pop an instaheal if the killer finds them. If they pack more than one Instaheal, realistically, in a worst case scenario, they may have to manually heal once if things go really bad for the group. But they're often so spread out across the map that you're unlikely to spread the damage and bludgeon your way through the instaheals and Adrenaline to inflict any real damage.

@edgarpoop I dont even know how this got downvoted at all, these scenarios do happen often. As does any other to do with instaheals ruining the game for the killer. Even 1 sometimes.

    @Karanyatsu said:

You can counter insta heals with noed, or one hit down killers and addons?

@Karanyatsu Nope. Good survivors don't need to care about a killer having noed or a 1 hit down killer or what add ons are being run. They just need to be full of second chance perks and be good at chasing and optimal on gens and healing. They don't feel the anxiety killers do because none of that really matters unless they're going against a high tier. Notice I say good survivors. Because truth is, once you reach higher and higher skill, the survivors really are the power role and the killers are there having anxiety over anything from whether or not the obsession and others have DS to are they a swf, etc. This game is trying to be beginner friendly to survivors because survivors are the majority and survivors bring the dough since that's what's promoted the most in the twitch/youtube communities. But they're crewing over exp killers when good survivors get their hands on the stuff. I'm not saying nerf all survivor perks and crap. At least not yet, I'm just saying if theyre gonna have so many second chance perks whereas killers gotta rely SOLELY on skill to slow the game down, then keeping something like instaheals in is not balance.

    @[Deleted User] said:

My problem with the 2 health states insta heal is that it’s available/most effective for a survivor teammate to use after THE KILLER has done all the work to down another survivor. I’ll say that again, the killer has had to do all the work for the benefit of a survivor item. Even a mori isn’t a “killer” equivalent of that kind of power. A mori still requires the killer to put in a lot of chase and hook time before a mori becomes available, not passively wait for a survivor to put in a lot of effort and then swoop in and kill them.

Why isn’t there an offering for killers to have up to a maximum of 3 usable tokens that allows instant and total gen regression mapped to a different button? Yes, even on nearly completed gens

If survivors can have insta “make killers hard work redundant” item/ability, shouldn’t killers also have a limited ability to instantly revert survivors hard work too?

@DudeDelicious Prreeeach, like I just said, its not right that killers rely solely on skill to slow the game down and survivors have a bunch of second chance perks, plus instaheals. Like get rid of instaheals at least. Because they can really destroy a game for the killer. You can go from potentially making a 2k plus to 0k against an optimal team because a bunch of survivors want to run around proximity and instaheal each other after most of the gens are done. Then you get flashlight clicks, teabags and gg ez in the endgame like they don't even realize that had they not had so many crutches they would've been crying to the devs like the baby survivors.

In my opinion killer are OP and is your asking to remove that thn the devps needs to nerf or change NOE o Barbecue and chilling the game most two ######### perk even batter than DS and MoM only because that doesnt need to do anytihing hard to obtain those ability easy and win the game easy. If you use that then your a ######### killer. Insta heals needs to be there put aside toxic survivor and ######### like that thats a mechanic that cant be remove. For me the killer are imbalance the hitboxes are horrendous the itself is imbalance online games are always like this people always are gonna complain about something one way or the other.

I play both side too and i have reach red ranks too and i havent have a problem with insta heal thats a mechanic for the survivor to escape the inetivable.

For me insta heal is equivalent to NoE,BandC.

@Tenshi0108 You sound like a survivor player not a killer player. I don't believe you reached red ranks with either just from reading that, no offense though but....Whew, you really sound just inexperienced. Please don't do this to yourself.

  • @Entità said:

@Kurisataru The right distances are crucial for any mechanic: for hooks, for generators, for gates, for T-mazes, for pallets, for Jigsaw's boxes ... It's a general speech. Even the map itself must have a fair size: the Pale Rose and the Grim Pantry have been shrunk twice.

You talk about toxic teams, a fraction of 7% of games in which the killer faces a full team, while I talk about the last survivor who runs to the gates, when the hatch is closed. Can he have any hope if the gates are 40 meters away and the killer is fast (Nurse, Billy, Spirit, Wraith)? Can a Hag, a Pig, Myers or the Plague ever manage two gates 100 meters away? This is the point. There is no fanaticism: only good mathematics.

@Entità I said nothing about toxic survivors or even swf. I said optimal teams, they aren't synonym. Other than that I can't respond to this without repeating what I already said above. Even when you said can we have any hope with the gates only 40m away, I can just throw back to my first post you responded to which was the lore of the entity. In dbd so far we cannot make both sides have 50/50 chances of success by default. That is up to how people play the trial and killers already have the lower rate of success by default unless they play as a really good nurse/spirit/billy even if they make a bunch of mistakes, or they're lucky enough to have a team that will make tons of mistakes; which is why it is said that "killers at low ranks win more than killers at high ranks" and "it is easier to rank up as a killer fast". They just have the fortune of going against survivors who will make more mistakes. Imagine going through the trial as a scale which events pile on to each side turning one in favor of winning over the other. Survivors are not at the mercy of egc as much as some of them think. Not enough to need to increase gate distance.

  • @Entità said:

@Kurisataru I, on the other hand, am tired of fanatics who talk nonsense. The developers have imposed a minimum distance between the Jigsaw's boxes for obvious reasons of equity: the same criterion applies to the gates. You want the free kill, if you defend in bad faith two gates at 40 meters with the Nurse or Billy or the Spirit or the Wraith. I do not ask for the guarantee of escape, but its feasibility: it is good that it is difficult, but if it is impossible for bad mechanics, this must be changed. I would really like to see your face if the hooks were too far away and a toxic survivor responded to your legitimate request to review the distance by writing to you: "Git good, noob".

@Entità The fanatics you speak of are the people that ask for counter-balance when balance is given. Jigsaw's boxes were not an issue that were disputed so that argument can go in the trash, it was a request that was made and with valid reasons being that the killer is M1 and the rng could be unfair so no point in spacing jigsaw boxes too far. That being said, it's totally irrelevant to gate locations.

Saying "it's good that it's difficult but if it is impossible for bad mechanics it must be changed" is a fanatic thing to say.

@IronKnight55 @Entità I'm not going to try and offend you guys but I'm gonna say this as I'm thinking it: Do you know what it's like to be an m1 killer and load into a map that is crazy survivor-sided and then have to face optimal meta-builded survivors on it? Do you? Because if you do then advocating for gate locations to be changed because " sometimes it's impossible for someone to escape during egc lets change gate locations" would sound like a very silly 'increase our escape % (ridiculously high)' request. Same way killers can get jacked over by maps, survivors should tolerate being jacked over by how far apart the exit gates are on the map and they will be punished for it if they weren't working as an optimal team. Which is literally THE ONLY way that gates being too close together can screw over a survivor at egc: if the team didn't do well. Cleanse totems, watch for noed, survival skills/luck. And yes, I play survivor enough to know how much pettiness can go on during egc but killers have a right to play petty if they feel that's how they can win. That's why killers who say "no this is a bad idea" are saying it. And I'm speaking from a survivor and killer perspective. It would be unfair to make gates spawn further apart because in dbd, we suffer for our mistakes constantly and survivors can suffer if they didn't make egc tolerable as a team. I honestly cannot even think of a time where me or my team dying during egc wasn't our own fault for messing up at some points between the start of the game and the finish of it.

Many ppl are learning it from some streamers. I play both and never do the same. Anyway I can't stop them so try not to care that much.

@Kanzaki And some streamers chats attack people that the streamers don't like too if they know your in-game name and stuff. It's not talked about much in this community because its not a huge thing. Just glad now people can change their names outside of PC too for the rare instances where it does happen. I think Bhvr should keep a list of streamers who are reported with evidence for being proper bad manners toxic to their viewers or people in game and keep them from being fog whisperers if that's not a thing already.

Freakin playing the game? toxic? Honestly I can't agree unless someone is going out of their way to sabatoge the game for someone else. Like a survivor purposely making noise to get another spotted, or a killer who's obviously going to win who will hook someone and slug someone else then let them wiggle out just to try and make them unhook the other person for points, or do the same kinda crap but only with slugging (force farming).

  • The exit gates are fine where they are, I'm tired of survivors trying to get a get out of jail free card with EGC. Just take an L with grace, if you have bad luck then you have it.

    https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Entity

"The Entity feeds on strong emotions, for example the Killer's rage, the Survivors' desperation, hope or even affection towards other Survivors. The easiest way for it to procure those strong emotions is through the never-ending trials, invoking hope in Survivors towards an escape from the nightmarish construct. The actual process of feeding itself comes in the form of the sacrifice. It is through that bizarre ritual that The Entity can extract the nourishment it needs to increase its power and sustain itself. Its eventual goal is to consume the world, and each sacrifice plays a part in that growth.

With each passing death, a little of the Survivor's soul is lost. Eventually as all hope evaporates, the Survivor becomes less and less useful to the Entity, slowly devolving into a cold and emotionless shell. These lost Survivors, whose hope has long since left them, are eventually throw into what is known as "The Void", a limbo full of such empty shells."

  • That's a good question. I ask myself the same thing sometimes but then I remember that a lot of survivor mains have weak egos and believe dumb crap about what it's like to play as/against killers so much so they believe that if they die it's always the killer doing something wrong. If I see that a killer struggled in game, I offer myself to them but usually they don't let me do it and they just want me to leave the trial, so that could probably also be why some survivors don't do it, they probably expect the killer to just make them leave anyway.

Yes, remove it now that I have more downvotes than anyone else. This way, nobody can take the #1 spot away from me. You should also remove the upvotes for the same reason.

@Orion You have more downvotes than anyone else because whether some people agree with you or not, they just don't like your attitude and want to downvote for that. Which is part of why I agree that downvote is just invalid. If you can downvote someone cause you don't like how they said something even if you agree with what they said then what use is it? You're not going to change someone's personality by trying to hurt their feelings with downvotes you'll just encourage a shut down of discussion with that person. Who knows, maybe some people want to do that.

I've been running it and it does indeed make a difference. The fact you don't disturb crows is very underrated. You are basically free to roam about at any speed you want, as long as the killer doesn't physically see you those little bastards won't betray your position anymore. Good killers will see crows fly and then you get found.

It completely screws Doc and to a lesser extent Clown. It can be used to lose the killer when you get hit, particularly in corn and even more particularly against Nurse. You might not completely end the chase, but it can buy you a few extra seconds as a killer has to gain visual on you and can't use sound to track where you ran off to.

Also it hard counters Iron Maiden and Rancor. While those perks aren't used often, when they are it can be difficult to avoid. IM in particular means you can't use lockers to hide rom BBQ, but with Calm Spirit you still can.

So it's like the audio version of Lightweight? Not completely garbage, but still not meta because good killers don't struggle against it. @thesuicidefox

  • @Raptorrotas said:

    How about it regresses automatically?

Pretty sure it already does if the survivors leave it for long enough.

  • Once as clown I happened to make 1 survivor so mad they accused me of camping and tunneling every single person in that game even though I didn't do either to anyone, and I dropped the last person at the hatch instead of collecting my 4k. Literally every other player in that game said gg and the last person thanked me for hatch but this one mad claudette who was probably mad she couldn't hide well and I kept catching her at the edges of the map.

I guess catching survivors at the edges of maps is freaking tunneling.

  • Eh, I think the solution is to just teabag the hooked the survivor and throw a pebble at them then get downed by the killer for doing their job of being a wanker for them.

  • Sloppy butcher, Ruin, Discordance, Bbq is simple and not douchey and powerful. You just need to pair it with really good add ons and you won't need crap like Haunted grounds, stridor, nurses, and all that other stuff that's common with her but makes her unfun to go against.

Edit: Yes its still good for 4k SWF at red ranks. I promise.

  • I played as legion a few times only right before his changes and did fine playing as him without being a farming tunneling wanker.

I play as legion a lot now after his fixes and I think he is very fun to use and go against. I will never be able to relate to people not liking his changes because I didn't play as old legion for more than a solid 3 or so hours. But from playing as him now and seeing more bad legions left and right, I am GLAD that he is now a killer who needs skill to use with or without add ons.

One thing I noticed hurts him more now than it did before is if I slug someone with DS or who I suspect to have MoM just to slow them down a bit. I can't do that if there's like 2 players remaining like I could before because I can't travel as efficiently. But that's a good thing for survivors. No more wanker legion.

Also, stridor + Bloodhound + Sloppy is such a cringey combination that should not work on any killers at all besides spirit. I've seen wraiths try it, and I've seen tons of old legions get away with it because he was a brain dead monkey skill required killer before. "Catch and Release" was how every bad old legion played and it made him unfun to go against because survivors could not avoid it at any costs. If survivors were lucky enough to survive a legion game it was because the legion was one of those sad players who could be 360'd endlessly and never looked behind them. Legion is far from broken, he just needs to be played properly now. Throw on monitor and abuse. Some people like to pair that with nurses and thanataphobia and ruin. I would replace thanataphobia with discordance in case people try to bait me with nurses or I want to apply pressure. I think smart survivors always expect legions to have nurses because there's so many of em with it. bbq may work too, etc.

  • Thanks for looking funny when you don't attack after blinking.

Thanks for looking up and hovering backwards

Thanks for playing hide and seek with insidious

Thanks for spawning with me and my survivor teammates on Lampkin Lane in front of a hook and proceeding to hook me and slug the other three in about 2 minutes or less.

Thanks for banging your head on walls by the exit gate when you dont want to kill survivors but want them to gtfo out of the trial

Thanks for being hard to learn so there are less of you to go against

Thanks for your thicc lips on the valentines day outfit

If we start game with 10.000BP few people will DC. I think is easy for devs

@prayer_survivor I want to agree, but what's stopping people from DCing if they lose a lot of points and can't gain enough to go much past 10k and they feel like blaming it on everybody but themselves? I could be over thinking it though, but it's hard not to when some people in this game get mad over the smallest things and can't accept being unlucky.

Everything listed below is pure toxic cancer.
    How I define toxic survivor:
    1) T-bagging the killer: after pallet drop, at exit gates, at window etc.
    2) Fast FS clickers.
    3) Finger-pointing at killer: after pallet drop, at exit gates, at window etc.
    4) Trying to open locker (pointing at it) where teammate hiding in front of killer.
    5) Heal teammate to 99%.
    6) T-bag hooked teammate.
    7) "Trade" teammate from hook for points.
    8) T-bag killer with object of obsession.
    9) Always follow Trapper to disarm his traps.
9.5) Always follow Trapper to disarm his traps with object of obsession.
    10) Sandbagging/bodyblocking other survivors.
    11) Saying OchiDO is not toxic, lol.

    How I define toxic killer:
    1) Insidious Leatherface.
    1.5) Insidious Leatherface at basement.
    2) Invisible Wraith camp.
2.5) Invisible Wraith blocking basement entrance where survivor hooked.
    3) Facecamping Doctor shocking other survs, who trying to unhook.
    4) One-tap Myers camp.
    5) Nurse with NOED and Insidious behind closed gates.
    6) Stealth Pig camp.
    7) Pig t-bag.
    8) Trapper (Hag) t-bag by placing trap near hooked survivor and then cancelling it.
    9) Invisible boy bing-bonging infront of hooked survivor.

@Rattman Lmao this one is good, I like how you specified when tbagging and pointing and stuff are toxic. Some idiots forget that there are people out there who will do mean things just to get attention but not have mean meanings behind it, they just want to see if the killer is sensitive enough to fall for it. It's called survival.

As a survivor I will do any of those things besides 11 if. The survivor is a selfish team exposing wanker and I'm trying to get the killer to get them instead of me. If I want the killer to stay on me and not give up chase to buy time for others.

For killer with the new EGC you need to add Insidious camping/sluggiing spirit who only moves to block people from leaving the trial through gates or hatch.

  • @HazeHound said:

Once you find 4 survivors who are not absolute potatoes you will see how trash he is. He is very fun to play tho. If you like Wraith so much try nurses and sloppy on him. Vs potatoes you can just chase, whatever but against semi smart you hit someone and break the chase if they are in strong loop position. Wraith relies on surprise factor otherwise he is useless. Of course even in 4 man swf there is usually weak link that you can snowball from, but overall his power isn't very usefull.

Also try m&a nurses Hag using same technique. Quite strong and fun. She corners people well

@HazeHound I kinda suck with wraith because the only real strats I have for him are blocking things and running spirit fury. I see a lot of wraiths using sloppy butcher but I don't see the point in it, even as a survivor I and teammates don't see Wraith as a real threat to heal against most of the time and we can usually heal after he's downed someone. Also committing to chases as wraith is really hard but it's a must. You cant just chase someone, hit them, then biing bong and go silent for a long time because then everyone knows you gave up and they're prepared to hide. He's always being bullied and the only time I died to a wraith was when I made a potato or got farmed, he's normally just a "Tch, eyeroll , oh it's a Wraith" kind of killer till it looks like he's holding a purple or red add on and can mindgame/block paths/ with skill. Even worse if he can do all that and has a map that makes sneaking up on people easier but usually you can hear how close he is like with spirit. I'm not that dedicated with wraith to just throw bp into purple and red add ons just to play him decently so, I only use him with dailies until I get other ideas or good advice.

Well its the same people who rejoice the pig nerfs and basement change.

Notice the basement "problem" auddenly became more relevant because of the EGC.

@Raptorrotas That's so crap, the basement problem did not JUST become a problem after EGC, I have went against TOO MANY pigs that crouch blocked the basement stairs with trapped survivors in it. Too many killers blocking basements in general.

    Nope, 4 min.

They say the wrong numbers three times.

And the Legion is so slow, because the devs cant do math correctly.

@ShyN3ko Legion is fine, he just requires skill to use now, and since he's able to slide and break palettes at the same time if he wants I think it's fair his vault is slower. I hated it at first but I have no issue catching up fast to people before or after that change and his base speed increase is a huge help to his fixes.

@GeneralCommunity EGC has so many possible outcomes and I've only been salty at 1 of them. A spirit who camped and slugged 2 people with good add ons for phasing, and tracking perks including insidious to keep tabs on other survivors without them realizing then cucked their escape in no time after 5 gens finished. She spooked up on one of them and hooked then she went to get the other one zooping around knowing which direction the other one went. -Though I consider this a legit strat, it's just dumb to know that had it not been someone like Nurse or Spirit, this strat would not have been able to be pulled off unless the survivors were dumb enough to keep going to the killer camping; because any other killer would have to travel for a longer period of time. Like why should she be rewarded standing around doing nothing just minding where survivors are while camping people and be able to get 4k because she can close the hatch and block someone from opening the gate. I just think EGC needs to automatically open the gates if the last survivor is in the killer radius for a while and the hatch is closed. Whether or not they make it out the trial is on them. That was the most "entitled" killer win I've ever seen. They get to play spirit like a brain dead monkey and freaking win because of aura perks and add ons for speed boost then zoom to close the hatch after pushing the last survivor away from the gate and be unable to hit them legit because they suck with spirit. She didnt even get her first down till 3 gens were left and I was running kindred so the other people knew not to come for us and that she had insidious if they tried to approach.

I swear that left such a bad taste in my mouth from a killer and survivor perspective that's just not right, and as a spirit main I was deeply offended by this garbage play lmfao yes I went there. Freaking bubba in disguise spirit.

But anyhow EGC is supposed to counter hatch standoffs and slugging so it is needed, I would just change how it can be exploited with the killer basically being able to pull of winning while acting afk and nobody falling for that trap with altruism.

Tell me, why do I deserve to experience this first hand? I never teabagged, as killer or as survivor. Never hold the game hostage, never made people waste time for my own amusement. Do I have to pay for others' sins? Is this justice?

@Alithra This is about the fact that everyone kept complaining about hatch standoffs and survivors holding the game hostage. Now End Game has become a biit more luck-based for survivors and less skill-based. Killers just get to prepare for egc and survivors have to adapt to it. Sometimes you'll see messed up stuff but it is what it is. They are usually good strats just distasteful for a survivor to go against because it can handicap them which is why it's good for the killer to do. So far the worst thing I saw was a spirit that camped me and someone else in 1 place while keeping tabs on the gen rushers with her perks then slugged one person and kept the other person from escaping hatch (unlucky survivor) and exit gate (unlucky survivor who deserved that escape considering how long they were chased and avoided being downed). The survivor died to the entity egc because the spirit couldn't touch them. That was so painful to watch it made me wish the exit gates open automatically if a solo remaining survivor is in chase with a killer for a period of time. That spirit literally did nothing all match except stand around with insidious slugging and camping people like a bubba while keeping tabs on genrushers with other perks to block escape then laugh about it in the after lobby because they knew they didn't need to engage in the trial properly to get 4k that way.

  • Well you can always catch an immersive claudette either froggy hopping to or away from a gen or to get someone from a hook. I don't like to return to a hook most of the time but if I do, it's to get those mole people when I'm too lazy to care about looking properly.

  • It's always been like that where killers are highly likely to camp end game....it's not a EGC-exclusive thing though. Its just that now survivors have to think about how or if they should approach.

End game just is a little bit more luck-sided for survivors than it was before because survivors were getting escapes too freely as swf. Too many perks that allow it circumstances aside: DS, BT, Unbreakable, MoM, Spinechill, Aura reading Keys, Bond, Empathy, etc.

Now survivors have to be A) Lucky that the killer doesnt completely block their survival

    and B) Quick to exit

The only real complaint I have about EGC is the fact that I went against a spirit that used aura reading perks to camp a hooked survivor and keep tabs on everyone else so that when they finished gens spirit could just block their escape. Had that same build been used on some other killers it wouldn't have worked as easily. It was as frustrating to me as going against a slugging nurse. Whether or saved someone or did objectives she was keeping tabs to make sure nobody can exit through gates or hatch. I think it needs rework to punish killers who can stand around in 1 place keeping tabs on survivors to slug and camp people and make sure egc ends survivors who didn't get slugged trying to rescue their hooks or playing into their trap of causing over-altruism. That was the worst EGC outcome I've ever seen in the many I have seen. Not even blood warden x Noed freaking got me mad like that did.

What did Pig abuse though? She literally can't abuse anything in the entire game.

@ReikoMori Iirc there were people saying that she could crouch to keep her terror radius away so she can stalk you and your helmet will continue ticking. Could also basement block people like this with helmets on and wait for their heads to pop. Probably other stuff I don't remember too.

  • I just started playing her 2 days ago since the last time I played as her was when I was a confused and bully victim baby killer. I don't know if this is common as hag but I seem to get a lot of yoinking at palettes and windows. I like to try confusing/pushing people so they think I have a trap set somewhere I don't and end up vaulting while I'm too close.

I also like punishing players to walk around the edge of the map as hag so I'll have at least 1 gimmick trap set somewhere where I can imagine useless survivors creeping about to heal or hide by the exit at endgame. Say behind a giant rock by a gate or by a tiny Z wall by an edge for better picture.

    She's pretty fun.
