I’m assuming you just got destroyed by pinky finger Clown and now you think it’s OP.

That’s 95% of the complaint threads on here. 😂

I’m guilty of it. We just need to vent sometimes haha!

  • Ignore the SWF’s in post game chat. They’re always salty when they lose. They know when you leave the lobby, so type in something simple like “Zzzzz….” ‘Uh-huh….” or “-_-“ and just leave. That’ll really piss them off.

i'll play a little and maybe buy pinhead cause new killers are the only thing that interests me anymore but if the SBMM is gonna be anything like the tests then for those were all terrible so ill probably be dropping the game.

Likewise. I’ll be buying the Chapter as well, and hoping for the best. I need to learn how to post pics/video links here cause if this continues to turn out bad for me, I need to show receipts of what I’ve been complaining about.

For me it's completely reversed. MMR on has generally given me great soloQ teammates who coordinate very well, do gens, last a decent amount of time in chase...

Quite a few even forced the killer to target them when they could afford to get hooked and the others couldn't, which is generally not a thing you ever see outside of swf.

You’re lucky man, some of us keep getting screwed over with bad teammates. Hopefully it’ll finally go right for me this time.

  • I personally think it’s going to be a ######### show for a lot of us. I understand there are a lot more happy players this time around (which is good) but that may change if those who are frustrated decide to leave or take a break until SBMM is gone. Then those who stay will get longer que times and less variety in everything.

I know the devs stated they’ll be monitoring and tweaking, but I personally don’t know if I’ll have the patience. I’ll try to hang in there the best I can, though.

  • Yea, I learned my lesson a long time ago not to trust some of them. I can’t explain it, but there are some who I can tell are really genuine- and those who are Sus asf.

Hate to stereotype, but I don’t trust farming bubbas for example. I want no part of that. I try to position myself to be on the farthest last gen away from him, closest to the exit. I’ve seen a lot of players get screwed over by him. Another red flag is a killer that was playing for real, doing poorly, then all of a sudden wants to farm. Oh heck no. I smell NOED with a dash of Blood Warden.

    1) It tells you that something is boosting your movement speed.

    2) This is like comparing apples and oranges, the two perks are nothing alike and don't interfere with one another. There's no reason why you couldn't run both.

I appreciate the info, but your delivery needs work. I could do without the passive aggressiveness. At first I thought maybe I’m reading too much into it, but after just looking at your last 5 comments- I can determine you’re just a negative person. Every conversation you’re having with others, shows your arrogance and condescending tone. I have more questions to ask in this section, do us both a favor and skip over mine.

  • No, I disagree. There are some of us with experience who are not bad at the game, but not sweaty either. We are your Rank 3-6 survivors who do objectives and look out for teammates, but get screwed over by SBMM. We get toxic Rank 8 & below teammates who ragequit, farm in chase, and hide. Then we are expected to carry them vs. sweaty Rank 1 killers, or toxic Rank 12 campers and tunnelers- while the system attempts to “figure out” where you belong. Only for it to ignore the ragequitters from your last 3 games, and the tunneling camper from the first 2, to tell you that you “suck” and you belong here. “These are your correct peers.” ######### no! We don’t play like them! That is NOT fun.

All 3 SBMM tests went terrible for me. It felt like I was back in Beige & Green ranks. *shudders*

  • Yea I agree. I still haven’t seen a response to: “what are survivors supposed to do?” I’ve asked that question in three other threads.

”Gen rushing” is a terrible term. There are only 5 totems and 3/4 chests per map. There’s nothing else to do once everyone is healthy and unhooked. It’s up to killers to create a chaotic environment that slows down gen progress, & forces survivors into altruism.

Personally, I believe Undying should have never been nerfed. And there needs to be a perk that gives killers 1-3 extra totems (based on level).

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

Ya know, seeing how many people that leave BMs at the door when playing say they had a good experience during the last test, while only those people throwing a tantrum over how unfair it is that bhvr won't just give them an iWin button... you might wanna rethink how you're playing this game when you are convinced it will be bad for everyone.

Not all of us care about winning- I can take losses. I just don’t like being paired up with 3 bad players and be expected to carry them against either a) rank 1 nurse or b) rank 12 camping/tunneling bubba. A few of those games you literally don’t even get to play.

At least with the current system the majority of my games are decent and I have competent like-minded survivors who do objectives, as opposed to the potatoes I get for teammates during SBMM.

It is fair. Skill based matchmaking is LITERALLY predicated upon fairness. The people who do not want it specifically dislike it BECAUSE they do not want fair games. Lol.

What are you talking about?? Your statement has nothing to do with what I said. I’m referring to the quality of teammates, and you’re alluding to survivor vs. killer.

This sounds like normal Solo Q not a SBMM issue. These games you describe happen now in majority of solo matches. This is not a good reason as most say they had better teammates during the test.

This is a novel here- if you don’t want to read it, that’s fine. But if you don’t, please don’t respond- it doesn’t make sense to continue the conversation if you’re going to say something I already addressed here. That goes for skimming as well- wouldn’t make sense.

Maybe this is normal for you, but it’s not for me. I stated, and I quote: “I am glad to hear some people are having a good experience with it…” I acknowledge that. But thats not everyone, and we can’t assume thats “most” without actual data. There’s a lot of us who are not having a good experience with teammates. Even if we are the minority- it’s still not good to have a portion of your players who do objectives, get stuck with bad teammates who don’t- on a CONSTANT basis.

I’m currently hovering between Ranks 4 & 5. I play on North American servers, at different days of the week, and at different times of the day. From MY personal experience, 80% of MY games- I have decent teammates who have game sense. They do not ragequit, they do not farm you off hook while in chase without BT, they do not hide when there is one gen left and 3 survivors, they body block, they 99 the exit gates, and if I die first- I do NOT have more points than them. Now keep in mind, I didn’t say anything about being good at looping, perk choice, or overall skill. I’m just speaking of plain old game sense.

Now fast forward to every single friggin time SBMM is live, I get the complete opposite. I get the worst of the worst 80% of the time. That is not fun. I PERSONALLY DO NOT PLAY LIKE THAT. WHY AM I GETTING TEAMED UP WITH PLAYERS WHO DO THAT? This is not normal for me. Do you know when it was? When I was in the lower green ranks. That was an almost every game occurrence. I was new at the game, so I tolerated it because I didn’t know any better. Once I learned how to do better, I was able to climb out of that cesspool.

Now for the killers that I would face, in red rank upper purple- not often would you find a camper or tunneler. Purples & reds don’t usually have to do that. Oh yea you get your few from time to time, but it’s not an often occurrence (again- MY experience). They know how to work their perks and add-ons. SBMM? After dealing with bad teammates and great top tier killers, the system says: F U, I don’t care you were left on your first hook to die, and someone ragequitted the last 3 games screwing you over, you suck so now you stay down here, and as your reward- have some campy tunneling killers to go with your bad teammates. Now I can never leave or it’ll take an eternity to climb out.

I personally would rather face a red rank 1 nurse with starstruck & infectious fright, with 3 other obj. Like-Minded survivors and lose- rather than deal with what are essentially green ranks & lower, doing a bunch of dumbshit. I don’t care about the competitive aspect, I just like the cat & mouse - try to survive as long as you can mechanic. But its only fun if your teammates are not handicapping you nearly every time you play.

No, I assure you, I've been complaining the entire time.

Same. I’ve been complaining here, YouTube, and Twitter whenever it’s brought up. I’m glad to hear that some people are having a good experience with it, but it’s not fair to us who are not. Players constantly ragequitting for the dumbest reasons screwing up the game. Making bad plays like farming you in front of the killer, running off to hide and heal. Too scared to do gens when there’s 1 left and 3 survivors. What the F is that?! I don’t play like that! That’s not skill! So how is pairing us up with players who are bad “skill based??” Cmon now. Half the time I die first because there all hiding DOING LITERALLY NOTHING and I have more points then all 3 of them alive. With a margin of 2-3K!! SBMM my a$$!

I'm not going to add anything useful to the discussion, but I wanted to say that it's very tough to read one giant paragraph like that.

There’s literally only two periods in there…js.

  • Thanks, for some silly reason I thought it was a little less than using it on yourself.

  • Maybe make it the point and understand 5 mins is no big deal? From a technical stand point, how is the game supposed to distinguish between someone trying to circumvent bans by killing their router vs. an internet hiccup? They’re not going to change it because you were inconvenienced for a measly 5 mins.

  • Don’t thank the streamers- thank the 4 man SWF killers constantly run into, which this build barely helps them. Murder on us solos though, I know.

  • 5 mins is nothing. Go to the bathroom or get a drink. Or go on Twitter.

  • Why is everyone complaining about Hag recently? I rarely see her. Prob the killer I see the least. I play on NA servers at ranks 4 &5. Is she popular in a different region on lower levels??

  • Feng, Kate, Legion, & Trickster.

  • The sabotage hooks challenges pisses me off. When I’m doing it, I make sure the killer is pre-occupied. When my teammates are doing it, it’s always when the killer is looking for someone, and that idiot teammate is right next to me. 😤

  • OP, are you a solo que player?

  • The zombie A.I when you’re playing survivor is CRAZY. Whenever I’m being chased by Nemesis, they always seem to be in the PERFECT spot, hiding behind some structure- waiting to ambush you. I can also be on a gen that’s miles away from Nemesis and somehow these ######### come out of nowhere and chase me off.

  • I think totems are fine for the most part. There needs to be an offering that adds more totems to the map like how survivors can add more chests.

  • @landromat said:

Predator and Dying light are usually worse than nothing

To me, dying light is very good. I’m shocked people don’t use the the DL/Thano combo any more. The rare times I go against it, it’s a real pain in the ass. I know Ruin/Undying is better, but sometimes killers get screwed when both totems are done quickly.

  • Players do this. I’ve done it myself and have seen others too. I’ve also seen someone from a 3 man SWF do it two weeks ago. NGL- that one did surprise me.

Someone above mentioned sometimes the killer doesn’t accept it (guess his pride made him feel he had to earn it- i respect that), and that’s true. I’ve been carried to the exit gates before and seen others as well. One thing though, offering sacrifices are rare. Doesn’t really happen in red or purple ranks either (from my experience). SBMM screwed me over then i got hit with the season ending rank reset, so i fell into green ranks. After SBMM was over, while I was trying for dear life to climb out- that’s when I saw the before mentioned sacrifice offering. Prior to that, couldn’t tell you when was the last one I saw.

  • Too bad you didn’t have Huntress, DS, or Trickster.

  • @BabuDweet said:

Why do people make threads about the same thing over and over?

To vent. I totally get it. This game and the players in it can really be frustrating at times- especially when you have to endure the same B.S over & over. OP just wants validation he’s not the only one who thinks hatch entitlement is absurd. He’s not. That ######### is stupid.

  • Leave that person. If you’re that person, martyr for the greater good. Stop feeding campers. They will stop when our community doesn’t allow them to have more kills. They’ll feel like idiots when the other 3 survivors do gens and escape. They RELY on teammates to be altruistic. Why give them what they want.

3 years I’ve been playing this game and I still LITERALLY laugh out loud when I get hit repeatedly on hook. Idk why, but I find that ######### HILARIOUS. Bonus points for me if I ran you for half of the game. I actually take it as a compliment then.

  • Annoyed. It’s ok to farm if someone ragequits or if we are already in game (have no choice- already in game at that point). But if you message me in the lobby that you want to farm, I’m leaving.

  • I have it on the new Feng outfit for two reasons: goes well with it & to show support for LGBQT+

NGL at first I thought it was “exclusive” to that community and only people who used that flag in video games, meant they were a part of that community. But after I cured my ignorance and realized that’s not always the case and straight ppl can use it to show support, I threw it on.

  • I say this in every camping thread: CAN WE ALL JUST DO GENS PLEASE? We all really need to be on the same page with this. If you’re the one hooked, martyr for the cause. Stay on hook as long as possible.

  • Wait- wiggle progression can regress?! 😳 Why is that even a thing??

I usually play anytime of the day, but lately I have been playing around 8 pm

Are you in the States? I’m on NA servers and I noticed the most sweatiest survivors prefer to play late evening, and at night. Early morning games are more chill.

    This.

  • What is “BM?”

    My list for DBD stereotypes:

    • Megs are usually useless teammates (especially with old cosmetics)
    • Dwights are generally clueless
    • Ghost face players are usually jerks
    • All Wraith players with that candle fire skin are extremely good, run all seeing and silent bell, and were 4king way before that cheap ass speed buff
    • Meyers are usually skilled (2021 Myers players)
    • Bubbas are campers
    • Adam players are very good at the game- patient, tactical, & always one step ahead it seems
    • Self care players are bad at prioritizing (for obvious reasons)
    • Nurse with Infectious Fright & Starstruck hate all people in general
    • SWF squads cause imbalance in this game
    • If the killer does a map offering of Hawkins, RPD, or Midwhich- it’s either Myers or Wraith with their wall hacks
    • players who have “cute” usernames are entitled & DC for the the littlest things (found first, impatient on hook, don’t like the killer/map, etc.)

  • @Clevite said:

    And another smurf is born!

    I ######### hate smurfs.

@pizzavessel15 if you really want to depip and learn new killers, then play new killers at your high level and you’ll naturally depip. Kill two birds with one stone.

  • We have to stop feeding campers. If you’re the one hook, lose the ego and martyr for the cause. If you’re not, do gens quickly and get out. Ruin THEIR fun by giving them one hook and the other 3 escape.

  • You know what stings? When someone ragequits at the beginning of a match and you plus the other two managed to get 4 gens done. Always makes me say damn if they didn’t leave, we ALL possibly could have made it out the way the game was going.

  • I used to give up and let myself die on hook. Usually you can tell when your teammates are stupid kids trying to copy Ayrun with their flashlights, and that the match is going nowhere fast. Other times you think your teammates suck, but in actuality they are pretty decent and just made a mistake that screwed you over. I’ve unintentionally sandbagged a teammate or two trying to body block the killer. Other times the killer is just too damn good. So damn good, you’d actually pay money to seem him go against the 4 man SWF ######### you have to deal with when you play killer.

‘Anyways, I stopped letting myself go on hook for a combination of two reasons- 1)the revamped struggle system kind of forces you to continue 2) I now have a desire to try and pip every match. So no matter how bleak ######### looks at the beginning of a match, I hang in there with the thought process of: “ok, at the very least let me try to black pip instead of depip.” I already accepted death at that point, so then it just becomes a matter of “when?” Can I get enough points to black pip before I get taken out the game? I try to focus harder and make the best decisions with what little time I have left in the match because my teammates and I are getting chased and hooked quickly. The personal challenge of trying to black pip and me accepting a loss in advance helps me navigate through what I used to consider- a waste of my time.

It doesn’t happen all the time, but the games where I actually “hung in there,” and escaped tend to be some of the most thrilling & fun matches. Those games are the ones where the killer had it in the bag so to speak, but we the solo que survivors rallied together and fought back. Not everyone survives, but to come back from nearly getting 4Ked & 5 genned to getting all gens done and 2 escaping is pretty damn awesome. Bonus points if I’m one of the two who made it out. (Man, sometimes Deliverance & Unbreakable can literally be game changers). So games like that and other little things has shown me it’s just best to try and keep at it.

Now as a killer, when ######### turns left fast at the beginning, I just shake my head and accept the ass pounding from SWF. What the hell am I going to do? Ragequit like a little girl? Hell no. When the 5th gen is done I hit the exit gate for them, then run into shack basement and cry in a corner facing the wall.

Actually it correlates to his movement speed. If you are not going at 115% or more that stance occurs. This means players on controllers can actually fake it

    Interesting…

  • I feel for those who have the disposable income to get a 9th gen console, but can’t acquire one due to them being sold out. Take the day off from work when you guys finally get. You guys deserve a full day of clean DBD after putting up with this for so long.

Because I get grabbed and killed while in chase because some clueless teammate decided to let him get tier 3. Getting insta killed because of the actions of your teammates feels stupid to play against.

Oof. Sorry. No, I meant beforehand. Any red flags that indicate he has TS? Other than an unhooked teammate suddenly dying in the middle of the map lol…
