  • That was the person behind the killer that did that to you. The new killer is freaking awesome!

  • I really like a lot of the music from Linkin Park, Disturbed and Metallica. I also really like some of the music from Nightwish. Apart from random music in the genres of these bands I like listening to video game soundtracks of my favorite games. I may have also fallen asleep a few times while humming the DBD survivor theme on the campfire screen. 😄

  • All of the DBD streamers I have ever watched have been very wholesome people but there isn't any one particular I consistently watch. Sometimes when I see a streamer on my team I'll visit their channel to say hi after the match (especially if it was a fun one). They're always happy to see people visit their channels. I've never seen anything like what you mentioned in the OP but I also don't spend a lot of time watching this content. A lot of people do stream the game so it isn't surprising if something like this does happen.

I mean, I have just shown you the tweet of the Game Director which was a response to one of ‚those kind of people‘

and just to be clarify again : ‚those kind of people‘ are people that are directly against inclusion of LGBTQ+ characters.

And again (even though this is about tolerance i hope you are able to see that it’s also applicable on inclusion):

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox_of_tolerance

I have no idea what the person said they replied to. It looks like the tweet was deleted so I have no idea the full context of what was said. Sometimes people say some really nasty things on twitter so I can understand if the guy they replied to said something heinous like a slur which people can be reported for in the game so obviously they wouldn't want people who do that in the game.

I don’t know if I could find that comment on twitter again. But in the end they are now directly celebrating inclusion and representation. If you want to still support it then do so knowingly and intentionally. I won’t stop you :)

also, as they are going to be revealing more LGBTQ+ characters - both existing and new ones - even if you and many others say they are against it. So please, stay and complain about it all you want. Doesn’t bother me and you are supporting inclusion still.

You made one hell of a claim about the company who made this game. I would hope you have something to support it. And I do support inclusion, which INCLUDES "those kind of people" you mentioned before.

If you are actually against inclusion and representation and just the thought of playing a character that might be revealed to be LGBTQ+ worries you that much then by all means, no. They don’t want you as fans nor customers. They have stated as much on their official twitter as well.

and if you are against it you shouldn’t really support this game to begin with.

and just to be clear, you were not describing people that don’t care about LGBTQ+ characters. You were describing people that are directly opposed to inclusivity.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradox_of_tolerance

Where have they stated on their official twitter that they don't want people who are against inclusion and representation as fans or customers?

When I first started playing this game I never saw anything about representation and there were no pride charms to make me think otherwise. The game appealed to me because of what it was, a horror game. If I had any indication I was not welcome in this game's community I would not have bought it.

Those kind of people don’t need to stay if they don’t like this.

And that’s not even only me saying this but even the devs.

You're absolutely right. I play the game. I don't profit from it. I would hope though they would want to keep me and "those kind of people" as not just fans but also customers. They promote inclusivity so I have no reason to believe were not welcome here.

In David King's case, there were probably very many people who played him before who may not play him now just because his sexuality was revealed to be something that doesn't appeal to them.

those kind of people are the ones that shouldn’t be catered to and this really shouldn’t limit BHVR on how they write the lore for their characters. Otherwise it would actually go into the directions where people try to force them to do something they don’t want to.

Now if David had been introduced in the game as a gay character we wouldn't even be talking about this today.

not true at all. Just because you wouldn’t talk about it doesn’t mean others wouldn’t do. (And somehow I doubt you wouldn’t either).

If they reveal another current survivor to be gay, especially one that has been in the game for a long time, the same thing is going to happen again.

it’s already been confirmed by the devs we will see further LGBTQ+ additions both in existing and new characters. It don’t worry, there have also been heterosexual relationships added to existing characters. But I guess that was okay?

For new survivors going forward this will be much less of a controversy (if any at all)

it will just be different ‚arguments‘ against it, such as they are creating one-dimensional characters without any other character traits other than their sexuality. Regardless of the actual lore. Trust me. It will happen.

No one would have to worry about playing the character for years and find out something about them somewhere down the line that doesn't appeal to them anymore.

tome story’s are a thing for quite some time and they always add something new to existing characters. No one ever complained about any of that (except for Legion and Nurse I think). Also no one has to worry. It shouldn’t really matter what sexuality a fictional character has. You are just making good argumentations why we need more representation at this point.

I know DBD's community consists of many people from the lgbt community but they aren't the only people who play this game. They also aren't the only people who this game can and does appeal to and with representation now being a focus area for DBD, I do worry for this game's future.

non-lgbt people arent excluded or ignored at all though. And lgbt people are playing this game. And their is no focus on this area just because after multiple heterosexual relationships there is one character revealed to be gay while all the others are still left open. Also keep in mind that it’s very very uncommon for heterosexual people to ‚come out‘ or have a coming out experience where it would be needed to write a story about it.

seriously, sometimes you actually make it seem like you are a reasonable person and than you write a comment like this

people need to worry about if the character they are playing might turn out to be gay? -.-

"Those kind of people" are part of this community too whether you like it or not. I stand by what I said in my previous reply.

  • @ShadyHaddie said:

Most people are straight, so most of the people you listed are probably straight.

For the sake of appeal I think it would be best for this to be the case. As of now, there are only some implications (Felix for example) and only one character's sexuality confirmed. DBD's player base is diverse, so they should be very careful how they handle this going forward. In David King's case, there were probably very many people who played him before who may not play him now just because his sexuality was revealed to be something that doesn't appeal to them. I've seen a lot of reactions to the reveal and from that alone I can tell there are players who now have no interest in playing David again. Now if David had been introduced in the game as a gay character we wouldn't even be talking about this today. He would have an established fandom and the risk of that loss of appeal wouldn't exist. If they reveal another current survivor to be gay, especially one that has been in the game for a long time, the same thing is going to happen again. More division in an already divided community over things like representation and sexualities of fictional characters.

For new survivors going forward this will be much less of a controversy (if any at all) if they are introduced into the game with these aspects of the character revealed from the get go. No one would have to worry about playing the character for years and find out something about them somewhere down the line that doesn't appeal to them anymore. This is why I have said before that it wasn't fair for people who played David King for this long to find out suddenly he is gay. Now it probably wasn't a problem for all of them but to many it was based on the reactions I saw. I know DBD's community consists of many people from the lgbt community but they aren't the only people who play this game. They also aren't the only people who this game can and does appeal to and with representation now being a focus area for DBD, I do worry for this game's future.

  • I know on steam you can go to their profiles and report them when you see bad names. For consoles I'm not sure how it works. I don't know if DBD has a report option for bad names (I've never checked) and if not I would assume because that is dealing with the platform the player is on and not something made or changed within the game itself.

  • I know and its freaking awesome! DBD needs more scary killers like this and the nightfall mechanic is definitely in line with the horror theme.

  • I've noticed a lot of survivors aren't good at recognizing your loadout or responding to hints. You could have an entire build around healing yourself and no one on your team would ever realize it. They always just seem to want to do the usual thing rather than strategize around how you're playing. This is why solo play is always a roll of the dice. As for medkits, use them whenever you feel like it. Staying in the injured state is never good unless you have a build around it.

  • Yep. I have no idea how it'll work but the idea of an "auto ban" system has me a bit concerned. I'm pretty sure I'll have to change my username in game just to avoid people reporting me for... well being me.

  • I don't like these poll numbers. 😡

  • @Coffeecrashing said:

Gate escapes should be zero MMR points for the survivor if all the generators aren’t done yet.

The reason is because hatch escapes are already zero MMR points for the survivor, and if a survivor escapes through the gates before all the generators are done, they were only able to get through the gate because the killer found and closed the hatch. This means that gate escape was a 2nd chance escape, just like the hatch, and shouldn’t be counted as an MMR win for the survivor.

I'm more interested in knowing how a survivor got the gate open after the hatch was closed because I've only ever done this maybe 10 times before. Its very risky.

That was an almost once in a lifetime occurrence though, you have to assume alot to chose to believe every killer playing a Mori is doing it with the intention of being toxic, specifically because again, it's almost meaningless now.

It actively hurts the killer in the scoring category and it works against many perks that rely on hooks, and if anything survivors DCing to deny killers the final hook, be it for BBQ or scourge hook value, etc. That's just as toxic (if not more so) than the killer bringing a Mori and specifically coordinating a scenario (in which they had to enlist the services of another survivor player, btw) in order to use it on you. Funnily enough, the only counter to a survivor who DC's for that reason IS to already have had the plan of mori'ing every survivor in the end, that's practically it's one benefit because I think you do get more points for the Mori than simply the survivor DCing and no Mori.

That is the whole point of the subject of this thread. Assumptions. Unless someone openly admits why they did anything in the game, all we can do is assume. It is interesting to talk about the different view points people may have about the things that happen within a match and why people do them. I've seen just about every take you can imagine in the post game chat between survivors and a killer that used a mori. I can tell from my experience there are a lot of mixed views on them. Some people don't care whereas others completely hate them.

  • I'm a survivor main so for me what the survivor side of the chapter offers will determine whether or not I buy it. The theme of the chapter also matters. I've looked at Haddie's perks and the only one that really caught my interest was residual manifest. The dredge looks scary and I've always said DBD needs more scare elements in it. I don't play killer so I have no interest to own it. I am looking forward to playing against the dredge to see what the matches will be like. I've been gifted a couple chapters before but the only ones I have purchased for myself are the halloween and Resident Evil chapters. I don't think I will be buying this one. I may purchase Haddie with shards and unlock some of her cosmetics during the anniversary event. The next chapter I will probably buy is Project W because its a Resident Evil chapter and if its even half as exciting as the last one it'll be worth it for me. That and also the fact I am a huge Resident Evil fan. The survivor perks in the RE chapter were also freaking amazing so even if you weren't an RE fan that alone was reason enough to purchase at least the survivors.

I find Kate and Bill to be the most varied. Kate's are either the nicest survivors ever or the most selfish twats I've ever seen. Bill's are either veterans or really inexperienced with very little in-between.

The rest I largely agree with but there's always exceptions.

I play all my survivors the same. Yes Kate is my main and I really only play others when I have a ritual or challenge for them but I always play any survivor I use the way I play the game. Its really all about the person and not the survivor.

Really? Apart for some lame moris like trapper or wraith, I would prefer to be killed in cool fashion than just be thrown at a gross rusty meat hook like a piece of pork for the third time.

Also while some killers may do it to be "toxic", 99% of them are doing it for daily ritual

Yep. I imagine there are killer mains that don't even use them at all. For whatever reason the killer uses one the point I was making is that they can easily feel like bullying just because of the fact they are unnecessary to win.

  • @PeaceNGrease said:

Bringing a Mori is a meme now-a-days, it's less powerful than bringing a hatch offering in SWF at this point. It litterally only happens when it doesn't matter anymore, the only benefit is you get to see the killer have a cool kill animation.

Did you literally ask the killer if he brought it to be toxic? Because people lie and troll on the internet, I don't know if you know this, but..

The killer threatened to tunnel me out of the next match they see me in because I did not farm with them. The very next match it was the same killer and played a mori. They found me early, camped me and allowed a survivor to unhook me at 2nd stage to try to mori me. I didn't give them the pleasure. They said in the chat after that match "thats what you get. toxic time!" following up on what they said they would do to me in the previous match. So yes, in this case the mori was used with the intent to bully and harass me.

The point I was making before is that a mori can easily be taken the wrong way because it is a completely unnecessary thing. I know not everyone sees them this way. If survivors could do something to the killer on the same scale as a mori I'd probably feel different about them. After all, the good guys in horror stories often end up killing the killer. I've never been mori'd and thought to myself "wow this is cool I want to see it again." If anything moris have been a deterrent for me. Back in the day when they only required 1 hook I was very critical of them and nearly quit the game entirely because I was sick of getting mori'd all the time.

My personal survivor tier list on how good of teammates they are

Hey! Do you know how many times I've died so my team can escape? Kate is on a tier of her own.

  • I didn't know the year had anything to do with having an opinion on something in a video game. I also didn't know I was complaining. Pretty sure I was just adding to the conversation of the thread. Seeing the survivor you're playing as getting brutalized to death can actually come across the wrong way to people and I'd even argue many of them are done to bully the survivor. I know this because I literally had someone do this to me and admit they did it for the very purpose of being toxic.

  • Now moris on the other hand I feel differently about. Moris are completely unnecessary and can easily be taken as the killer being toxic to you for the sake of being toxic. Given also the fact survivors have absolutely nothing like a mori they can do to the killer, it comes off as bullying because the killer didn't have to do it. Its like a slap in the face when you already lost. I never enjoy a match where the killer plays a mori. I just want to do the gens as fast as I can and get out of there. I played DBD in the time where killers were getting 4k moris in very short matches and that alone made me hate them. Even though they require 2 hooks to do now, they are still an extra way for killers to interact with the survivors in a way that can easily come off as bullying or just being toxic in general. If there was a way I could avoid matches with moris (just the offering of course) I would do it.

  • Yep. It all depends on the individual. Sometimes people get what you were doing while others assume a toxic intent. It really all comes down to how each person feels what a fun match is.

  • I've had several killers say they had a blast in my matches even when they didn't get a single kill. For some people the fun factor isn't determined by how often you survive or how often you get a sacrifice.

Some people are also just trolling and false flagging as well as internalized homophobia are actually pretty wide-spread. You don’t need to defend those people, they can do it themselves and by the latest reaction you should really be able to see what their intention was.

Ah. Good point. If people are doing that here then all I can say is shame on them. Things like this deserve an honest discussion when it comes up. I'll try to keep a better eye out for people like that, though it may not always be an easy thing to see.

and it was already off topic when I joined the discussion

You're right. I'm surprised this has been around but I will say it has been an interesting thread. Oh I wanted to mention that I read somewhere here that they prefer to do other forms of moderation in some cases before resorting to the forum penalty system. It was a reply MandyTalk made in the Forum Feedback section to someone the other day.

    Found it:

    @Mandy said:

When we edit a post there's a very good reason for it - and calling something someone has written "bait" would definitely be one of those reasons and is actually against forum rules. We try to be lenient on very aspects of moderation and would edit the comment instead of the escalation warning procedure, as we expect users to understand that the reason their post was edited was that it broke the forum rules or nestled into a very grey area.

And if we remove a quote from someone, it usually means the initial comment made by a person has already been deleted and we naturally remove the quotes of that as well.

It would be impossible for the moderators to private message everyone whose post gets edited as a lot of that happens, same with moving a thread.

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2983843#Comment_2983843

Not perhaps. Definitely. And in those cases there were not other comments that lead to the deletion.

i have seen others being jailed/banned for more harmless stuff than what you commented.

    The mods thought otherwise.

What was this thread about again? Darn it Mooks we seemed to have gotten off subject again. Or is this on subject? I don't know... its late and I'm wondering if I want to hit that ready button one last time for the night.

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2983839#Comment_2983839

Some of the stuff you said was directly against forum rules so it couldn’t stay.

Perhaps. Its hard to talk about certain things that are brought up here all the time and keep the conversation within the forum rules. It was never my intent to do that, and I believe they understand that. I do appreciate how lenient they are with the conversations here. I believe so long as we remain peaceful with each other we can talk about many things and keep it within the forum rules.

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2983471#Comment_2983471

Well. Good thing for you many of the stuff you said has been deleted I guess…

Unfortunate. I would've rather it all stayed. I do remember a few... very unpleasant things said to me to say the least before in other conversations in the past that were thankfully deleted. Some threads even entirely gone. I trust the mods made the best decision in those situations even if it meant some of my replies being deleted. A lot of things I said was taken the wrong way. That is why I always say discernment is key to understanding.

  • I completely agree with the OP's view on this. A lot intent is implied and assumed with so many actions people do in this game. In one match you may get a ghostface who likes teabagging with the survivors and isn't mad about it at all. In another you may get a ghostface who will rage at you in chat after camping you out of the match if you teabag them at all even though a lot of players like to do this against a ghostface simply because he can do it back. I've come across many killers who think if you simply have a flashlight or toolbox in your hand at the start of the match you're automatically toxic or intend to bully them. People really need to relax on things like this and realize people are just playing the game and not trying to be mean to you. Its different if they admit it after the match or say something bad to you but often times people just assume the worst.

  • The community is going to be the end of this game. 😔

Apparently I'm a terrible person since my name is never blurred out there. But like I said, I think its funny when people do this. So long as it doesn't degrade into personal attacks or making threats, I'm fine with it.

  • I've been mentioned on that twitter account a few times for things I've said here. I think its funny if someone gets so bothered by something you say they feel the need to rant about it on another platform. 😂 Honestly though don't let it get to you. Some people are just desperate for content and don't know what else to do with their time.

I've been in many games lately and all that's been happening is the survivors just gen rush and leave some not even stopping to troll what's up with it and also some are even hacking to win now. Why?

The quicker survivors get the gens done the less chance they have to interact with the killer. I've noticed when a mori is played survivors tend to do gens much faster because they don't want to see their favorite survivor get brutalized to death.

  • I main survivor and when I get a hacker on my team they never try to hide it. They always do the craziest things like they are trying to show off. Its very annoying especially when you start the match and instantly hear a million hook and scream sounds go off in your ear. It startles me every time. I've seen some in videos even switch to killer as survivor. I had one who did that in a lobby before. They switched to spirit so I just left the lobby.

I can't blame them when everyday there seems to be a new acronym, pronoun, gender, sexuality, etc. added to the community.

you are so careful with your words, please also avoid making these false claims which could otherwise be twisted into something you would never say

also about the changing inside the community… it’s just a community full of diverse and individual people. Blaming them for individual takes is really… unreasonable. Especially for someone identifying by their faith, or do you want to get judged by every direction of those that say they have the same faith as yours?

I was merely pointing out the possibility of confusion when companies may genuinely want to be supportive and representative of the lgbt community. I'm sorry if I said it the wrong way.

I don't want to be stereotyped for my faith so I distance myself from those directions/denominations that claim the banner of my faith. I'm not part of a community revolved around it. If I may ask, do you think orthodoxy within the lgbt community would be a good thing for it?

Sigh. And this is why I hate getting drawn into these discussions - because, as here, people can be incredibly uncharitable and will start inferring a negative intent where none exists.

    But okay, lets try again.

    I'm not 'blaming' anyone.

I'm simply trying to demonstrate how this looks from the perspective of an outsider.

The issue isn't that it's a minority or a majority - it's that there doesn't seem to be a majority within these movements. That's what I mean by orthodoxy. It's one of the weaknesses of this new incarnation of 'intersectional solidarity' - which these days seems to mean 'I have to defend my 'team', even if I don't agree with what they are saying, or at least refrain from public disagreement'.

Again - this wasn't a few posters on a forum. This was thousands of people harassing an actress for 'not being gay enough' to play Batwoman, a mangaka for making the wrong character bi and massive media outlets like Kotaku and Polygon crucifying a game designer for...you know, I still don't fully understand the 'why' there. They just had a beef with CDPR. And they only people I saw disagreeing with them were centrists.

Also - you can't use a void as an argument. If you are asserting that there is a significant number of people who are as 'rabid' as you claim, and I can't find many, you can't just turn around and say 'well, there must have been but they were deleted' or 'well, they aren't saying it but I know that they are thinking it'. As I said - as someone who tends to be in the 'neutral' camp, there was at least as much pushback from progressives on making David gay (because it wasn't the exact representation they wanted) as there was from people who didn't want a gay character, if not more.

You're absolutely right in that there doesn't seem to be a majority within these movements. I think thats why there never seems to be satisfaction as a community because when one thing happens it'll never be enough for someone else in the community. When one character is made gay, then someone else will want a trans character. When they get the trans character, someone will want a non binary character and so on. Honestly I feel like many companies who try to represent the lgbt community don't fully understand it themselves and I can't blame them when everyday there seems to be a new acronym, pronoun, gender, sexuality, etc. added to the community. Who can keep up with this and understand it all when its constantly changing? I do agree with you in that the lack of orthodoxy within the lgbt community hinders them from having common ground on many things they stand for.

but yeah the problem is that people still see heterosexuality as the norm while seeing LGBTQ+ as something that somehow needs to be excluded in media where heterosexuality is already included without contributing anything. Thanks for pointing it out again.

Ah! Well I will say that was very good in them to make a statement like that and acknowledge the inconsistency. One of the things I admire about the devs is their involvement with the community here and listening to what their players have to say about everything. I've never felt that same connection with other games I've played before.

Let's keep the discussion civil and on topic, thank you.

I had just saw your reply after posting my last reply to the thread so my apologies if I had gotten off topic with my conversation with Mooks or anyone else here.

the lgbt community isn’t one entity, of course not everyone want the same. And there will always be people calling for more, as there will always be people calling for less/none. In the end, (good) representation does matter and is important especially to normalize it so people will finally start to see it the same way as heterosexual representation.

people never complained about this even though the devs directly contradicted themselves and included heterosexuality multiple times despite their original stance. It’s especially the people that NOW complain about LGBTQ+ inclusion with these argument that SHOULD have spoken out before.

but literally none of them did.

Did anyone from the lgbt community complain about this back then? I can understand it making its way into the lore just for being the norm of the world and as you said no one spoke out against it before. Do you think they would have changed the lore for the characters you mentioned earlier if people from the lgbt community would have pointed out their stance with the inconsistencies in the lore?

Nurse was revealed to have had a husband she dearly loved and she actually went crazy after his death. She was released like 1 month after the games release. And there is no way this isnt direct and obvious heterosexual representation (though of course bisexuality isn’t completely ruled out)

If her lore states she dearly loved her husband I can see the implication there. If their stance was leaving it up to the players then it would've been best if this was not in her lore.

Where exactly is a problem here?

just because some people are asking for more doesn’t mean most of the people aren’t satisfied. There will always be people complaining no matter what it’s about. That’s not a problem nor an argument against representation.

also the devs have confirmed there will be more LGBTQ+ representation in DbD and both new and existing characters are possible.

I'm sure some, probably many people are satisfied with what they've done so far. However I do think no matter what they do there will always be a call for more representation. I've seen mixed reaction from within the lgbt community as well over this. Does everyone in the lgbt community want this? Do they want the representation or do they just want to live their lives like everyone else without feeling like companies are trying to be their champion?

Sexual identities? This is something I only recently feel like they want to include in the game, as I have not seen it up until now

but there have been sexual identities in DbD lore for a long time. It was never stated outright that those characters are heterosexual but heterosexual relationships and therefore at least part of characters‘ sexualities have always been mentioned in lore (Nurse, Legion Tome, Felix and others).

now they did say they wanted to leave it up to the players imagination but they didn’t really act like that and only made ‚exceptions‘ for heterosexual relationships as they evidently did care and wanted to flesh out their characters with relationships/sexual identity/etc.

Yep. Which is why I think going by their original stance of leaving it up to the players it would've been best for them to not include those parts of the lore for the characters you mentioned. When I first started playing DBD there were no pride charms in the game. All of this stuff we've been debating and arguing about for awhile now was never a thing back then. Everyone just played the game and our biggest arguments on the forums were about moris and noed. I do miss those days.

Why would there have to be pressure...?

In a Tweet on May 27th of last year they said "Last year, we acknowledged and shared in our players' desire to include LGBTQIA2+ content in-game." In the blog post attached it says:

"Diversity is something that means a lot to us here at Dead by Daylight. Both in terms of our team, and our incredibly supportive fans who identify as members of the LGBTQIA2+ community. This time of year is a chance for us to double down on celebrating our differences, the things that make us all unique, and to send the same dedication, support and love you’ve shown us right back your way."

"Bringing inclusivity and representation to life in a meaningful way within Dead by Daylight’s storytelling continues to be a focus for us – and one that’s progressing. While we know many of you are eagerly anticipating this content (as are we!) it’s vital to us that we not only deliver it – but more importantly, do it justice.

Our goal is to take the necessary time to ensure we get this right, creating the kinds of stories and characters devoid of negative tropes that our community deserves, versus simply checking a box. To help us achieve this, we’re proud to announce our collaboration with external partners Brian Kunde and Katie Kaitchuck at GaymerX who are supporting us with best practices for integrating LGBTQIA2+ themes into established games. This will continue with specific consultations around in-game content and how we can approach these stories without falling into harmful representation.

We’re looking forward to the end result, and we thank our players for their patience as the pieces continue to come together. In the meantime, we’ve got some great things on deck for the month of June that we hope you’ll join us for!"

This doesn't read as a company being coersed into adding content because of a portion of rabid fans demanding it...

They've added charms, announced David, and that's just in-game stuff. They've held the IntoTheRainbow streams showcasing LGBT+ streamers, on top of fundraisers for charities, emotes on Twitch and Discord, etc. I truly don't feel like BHVR is having their arm twisted into adding these things. This seems like stuff they're just as passionate about including as the community.

There doesn't have to be pressure. I merely stated that some people may view things like this as being influenced and/or pressured by others to do it. Its not an unreasonable take, especially with how the world has been these past few years. I also said they could have just wanted to do it because they want to. I was only stating why I think people could have different views on this. I personally don't know for sure so I don't want to assume anything. They said they "acknowledged and share in our player's desire to include LGBTQIA2+ content in-game." So my first question that comes up after reading this is, would they have included lgbt content in game had the players not had this desire? And also this was not a universal desire from the community. Many DBD players did not and do not desire this content in the game, so it won't appeal to them. In fact it may also be a deterrent to many players currently and potentially playing the game. It certainly stirred quite the reaction when they started doing it. I guess the only thing that matters now is how they handle this going forward.

Okay WOAH. Now this is a bad take...can't even respectfully disagree on this. This is just not good.

You're acting as if the community is FORCING the developers to include these things. Like, have you stopped to think that maybe the people creating these games, movies, shows, etc...WANT to include characters of other races, backgrounds, sexual identities...?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2981227#Comment_2981227

Getting whiplash from that other bad take to this colossal W take omg. YES. David in drag would be...gold. I can see him being dolled up, but his outfit being tattered and messed up cuz you know he'd end up fighting another queen lmao. His wig snatched. Love that idea!

Races? Yes. Backgrounds? Yes. Sexual identities? This is something I only recently feel like they want to include in the game, as I have not seen it up until now. I don't think its unreasonable for someone to feel like its happening due to pressure from a part of the community, but I also think its not unreasonable to assume the devs may also want to include it now because they want it. These are just people's opinions on the matter and people will feel differently as to why they think its happening now as opposed to early on in DBD's history.
