I'd pay 1080 auric cells for this skin for Rebecca Chambers. Just sayin... 😍

Game is survivor sided , Devs never nerf survivor.

I.. wha... are.... HOW? I suppose the hatch change wasn't a nerf to survivors or certain perks being buffed and then scaled back again. Do I really need to make a list for you or were you just exaggerating?

  • I listened to all of David's tome entries last night up to 7 and will listen to number 8 later tonight. To me I felt like I was hearing the story of 2 different characters by the time I got close to the 7th tome. I've seen a lot of reaction to David's new lore pertaining to his sexuality and I can tell a lot of people aren't happy with it. I've seen some good reaction to it too particularly from the community David King now seems to appeal to the most. I don't think David King is going to appeal to many of the people who played this character before and I feel like this wasn't fair for them. I understand their frustration because I understand that DBD and its characters appeal to and are played by a very diverse audience. Who did David King appeal to before and who will he appeal to now? Is it a good idea to go down this path with other characters in the future? I wonder. I think these are important questions to consider going forward with lore in DBD.

Oh, I'm sure hatch plays were fun for survivors. I made a few in my time, and yeah, bouncing with the guy I just unhooked in front of the killer's face was exhilarating.

Thing is, when survivors are remotely competent, this game is extremely backloaded for killers. The first chase will usually be the longest, because all areas of the map have full resources and powers need to be set up, built up, etc. If survivors split up at the start, and good ones do, it's pretty common for 3 gens to pop during or at the conclusion of the first chase. Killers start to snowball later on, when multiple people are injured, the team is too busy with healing and unhooks to focus on gens, when pallets have been broken and deadzones form.

Old keys made it so that when one player died, the rest of the team could leave the match at one gen left, and there was nothing the killer could do about the situation. Guard the 3-gen? They get hatch. Guard the hatch? They do the last gen. Patrol both? They hide near the hatch and 3E as soon as you're a safe distance away, Tunneling the key user earlier was useless, someone else would pick it up. You had to kill or slug everyone before 1 gen was left or you were screwed, and when you factor in that there's often just going to be 2 gens remaining when you wrap up your first chase - yeah. That was a problem.

I'd be okay with keys letting one survivor escape but not staying open for other survivors, and causing the hatch to disappear for the rest of the match. I'd also be okay with hatch spawning once all 5 gens are done regardless of the number of survivors left. Current keys are essentially useless. But old keys were way too strong and the ability to get the whole team out early for the price of one item should never have been a thing.

That felt natural though. If a survivor died you would need less gens done to make the hatch spawn. It made the situation more suspenseful. I had a lot of matches where I was on the edge of my seat not knowing what was going to happen next knowing the killer was getting closer to taking us out but also knowing we were getting closer to getting the hatch to spawn. Those matches just had a unique atmosphere to them.

I... don't miss old hatch. I'm sorry, there are just many horrible experiences with keys that warranted the changed. I do think keys should be buffed however, but not reverted to how they were before.

The keys were conditional. Gens had to be done to make the hatch spawn and use them. Survivors made their own fun after meeting those conditions. A lot of that fun was removed when the hatch was changed. Hatch plays were very fun for survivors if they were able to make it spawn in time.

Queue up - both myself and the killer brings streamers.

It's a very solid Nurse, with a full set of meta perks and great addons.

Slugs and tunnels hard, gets everyone dead at 4 gens. They get 15k BP, we all get around 9-10k BP.

It's just odd to me - when I play killer, if I bring streamers I'm going to ease off a bit once I have control of the game - let people heal up, maybe finish a gen or two. If there are multiple streamers, I'm definitely going to try to ensure that everyone gets at least some use out of them.

Otherwise...why not just bring a pudding?

I've come to learn that bonus BP offerings for killers is often used as a distraction to give the survivors the wrong idea. I can't tell you how many matches I've had during anniversary events where cakes were almost entirely wasted. Some killer mains don't really care BP offerings or matches that last more than a few minutes. Sometimes they just want to end it faster than it took them to get into the match.

  • Unfortunately I've come to learn that survivors avoiding objectives for prolonged periods of time is something they frown upon in this game. I've been in a few matches before where 2 survivors get taken out very early and there are 4-5 gens still up. In a situation like this the chances of escaping are slim to none and some survivor players may be greatly discouraged to work on gens and feel the need to just hide as long as they can. They either try to wait long enough for the other survivor to be found or are simply too afraid to do anything in fear of being caught. What I like to do in these situations is find the killer and keep them busy as long as I can hoping that when I get downed I'm not slugged so the last survivor can have a chance to escape. While I disagree with the idea that survivors evading the killer is holding the game hostage I certainly don't encourage people to do it. I know its frustrating to deal with that but I am just amazed that there are people able to even do this for that long. I've said before I'd rather something be added to the game like highlighting an area of the map where survivors are after a certain period of time than punishing them for playing the game like this. Just my opinion on the matter.

  • @shalo said:

I get tbagged and abuse in end chat just about every game, why are Survivors so angry at Killers?

Its either survivor mains who have had too many matches with not so fun killers or they're just being toxic for the sake of being toxic, or a combination of both. I think a lot of times survivors who tbag don't mean any harm by it. You never really know unless you get to talk to them after. As for the chat abuse, I know a lot of times things can be said in the heat of the moment and I think people often say things after a stressful match that they regret afterwards. We're all human and sometimes we just need to take a moment to collect ourselves. However if they're just saying mean things to you for no reason then yea they're just being toxic.

  • The hatch change was catastrophic for survivors. When I read about the change, I couldn't believe it. So many things changed when this happened. Incredible key plays (that were entirely conditional) and keys which had great value in many situations all of a sudden no longer could be used the same. Some of my most exciting matches were hatch plays before the change. I still don't understand why they felt it needed to be changed this much, to only potentially benefit the last survivor. My keys have basically turned into dust collectors. I think I've used less than 5 keys since this change and they were only used for addon testing to see if I could find a reason to use them again. Now I avoid them in the blood web if I can. I really miss the old hatch.

  • I actually think the license DLCs are very fairly priced. I was surprised the Resident Evil chapter wasn't more because I honestly think it could have been and still sold very well. We're also about to get another Resident Evil chapter which in my opinion has been the most popular content added to the game so I don't think a lot of licenses are getting neglected. We really don't know the intricate details behind these things. I'd imagine there are a lot of licenses out there that would love to work with DBD in the future.

  • In DBD, the community is the game and we all need to realize that so one side isn't drowned out by the other. And I get it. We all have our moments of frustration after a bad match. We're all human. I do think a lot of things in this game are taken too seriously. As a survivor main, getting a match where the killer doesn't camp, tunnel or slug is always way more fun than matches where those things do happen, even if I don't escape. DBD's future is entirely dependent on its community in my opinion.

  • Kate Denson obviously. 😉

I don't play killer so I don't have a favorite in that regard. As for my favorite to play against though I would have to say The Shape, unless they're using the mori tombstone.

  • @sswhoney1 said:

It takes forever to die in DBD the sequence could easily be sped so it doesn't take so long to leave and start new game or spectate players. Cut it in half I don't need my sacrifice to take all day lol

I remember talking about this here on the forums some time ago about how I don't like how it takes so long also. My other issue with it is how loud it is. Its hard to listen for a terror radius or just general activity with the loud hook sacrifice sound going on and I can't tell you how many times I end up with a killer in my face before the sound is over. Its frustrating but I also don't know if its intended to do that or not.

    The simple reason of parity.

The tome about David, even has the title "The importance of being king" But yet you have the option of not using David, yet there are 4 Twins related challenges that require you to use the Twins, it's not optional.

In that case, killers are more unique than survivors. Theres a reason why so many people say survivors are just skins. Killers each have a unique power with unique blood webs. Survivors have neither of these things. Just for that reason alone it makes sense that a tome about a specific survivor would be put together differently than a tome about a killer.

There's 4 challenges that require you to play as the Twins, there is one that requires you to be David.

Again, you can play as David for all of the challenges if you want to. Literally nothing is stopping you from doing this. I'd really like to know why you're so concerned that not more challenges require David to be played to complete them. I mean I can take a wild guess, but I'd rather let you explain why this bothers you so much.

I've never watched it I didn't mean that condescendingly I just didn't know cause all the previews I've seen of it scrolling through netflix makes it look like a friendship magical girl anime

Yep and I think this is why some people thought it was very random as a crossover. It certainly is nothing I would've ever considered or thought would make it into the game. I love your name by the way. Its so full of truth! 😀

  • I think they're trying to appeal to different crowds and seeing how it turns out. It does feel very random. The attack on titan announcement didn't appeal to me at all. I just have no interest in it so I probably won't be buying the cosmetics (unless they look really cool on a survivor I play). The thing is though, it may make some AoT fans aware that DBD exists and they may try the game. I don't think it will draw in huge crowds, but I also don't know the data behind AoT interest and horror genre appeal.

As for the dating sim game, I think its silly but I also think that was part of the idea behind it. I don't think its going to appeal to a majority of DBD players by any means. For me its hard to see DBD killers in a different light when you're so used to being hunted down and killed by them. I think thats why it didn't appeal to a lot of people. One thing is for sure, I'll never get the images of Trapper and Huntress in swimsuits out of my head. 🤣

its all they are doing today I'm sick of it 10 games in a row me or my teammates are tunneled and camped out of the game 1 by 1 its outrageous how do people play like this and why do they not prevent playstyles like this I understand its 2x bloodpoints but this is just stupid i hope they fix this soon

I've been screaming this for a very long time now. Its something I believe is seriously wrong with the game and is a big deterrent for survivor players to keep playing the game. Theres just no fun in it. To have a killer sit there and stare you down until you die on the hook or tunnel you right off the hook just makes for an overall terrible game experience. The game needs to fundamentally change. DBD needs a massive overhaul on how the game mechanics work and how it plays.

  • @UnluckyDucky said:

So I usually try my best not to camp as a killer--and when I say camp, I mean any of kind camp whether is face or proxy camp. I hook them, take a look around to see if any of their friends are hiding nearby, then I leave and go look for another survivor.

I am seeing an INSANE rise in camping killers. And not just proxy, but like--stand right there and wait for a survivor to come along and save them--camping killers. And whats even more frustrating is they are rewarded for this gameplay because as survivors, you WANT/NEED to save your friends, because the game is nearly impossible to do with just 3/2 survivors with 5 gens left. Like if you dont have 4 survivors to get at least 2 gens down in the beginning, the game is going to be unbeatable unless you have someone who is a looping GOD who can distract the killer for 4 gens.

I just got out of a game that really grinded my gears. RPD map, me and Tapp are on a gen, we see Claudette almost immediately get downed. Dang, that sucks. We see her get hooked and one of us as Kindred, so we can see Huntress appearing/disappearing by Claudette as she paces in and out of Kindred range. Proxy camping.

So, this is gonna be a camping game. I see Huntress as Thanotophobia and even if I were to just stick to gens and grind them out as fast as I could--it wouldn't be fast enough. It took me and Tapp working together just to get 1 gen done in the time it took for Claudette to get camped to death. So If I wanted to get my 2 gen challenge done, I HAVE to save my teammates. But Huntress literally just camped us down one by one, relying on the survivors altruism to come save their teammate. What makes me even more frustrated is even if we DID just leave the survivor hanging there, with Thanotophobia being active from the hooked survivor, we can't get gen's done fast enough in the time it takes the hooked survivor to die. Theres 5 gens, 4 survivors. Even if we played as selfish as possible, we can't win. Huntress refuses to chase, and just camps. So it's just me now, and my 2nd gen is 90%, Huntress finds me.

I thought, "Well, they're guarantee'd a 4k." So I gesture to the gen, "Please let me finish" Huntress doesn't attack, walks over and kicks, I think cool a little extra BP for them, I'll just finish my gen now--and then Huntress rips me off the gen, one that was at 99 now, and hooks me, hits my body on hook, then in post game chat trash talks us.

I just asked: why do you play like this, why camp, why not just let me have the gen? etc.

And of course, "Maybe uninstall lol sorry youre not good enough to even get 2 gens" (insert all the normal trolling trash talk)

The game rewards camping SO MUCH for killers. I know is a "viable" strategy, because clearly it works--but it literally ruins the game for everyone else. I'm not saying I deserve or even want to escape every game, but most of the fun in this game is the chases, the escapes, the CHANCE of getting out. A killer just face camping like that gives ZERO of that, and I don't understand how the killer is even enjoying themselves that way. "oh just gen rush the killer will lose that way" No, no they wont. Because I've played several games like this. Unless you're all working together all the time while someone is dying on hook, the BEST you can hope for is 1 survivor left with 1 generator left, and odds are the killer WILL find hatch before you, because they don't have to hide while looking for it, and then your chance of opening a door is even slimmer.

Personally, I think camping completely ruins the game, hurt the community between survivors and killers, and overall just bring the game down.

What you experienced in your RPD match was your typical "get good scrub" killer main who couldn't care less how you feel about camping. Its unfortunate that so many players have this attitude, when it solves nothing and does nothing to make the game overall a better experience for everyone. Its the dice we roll when we hit that ready button.

  • The only question I think I can answer is 4 to which I would say for the most part its in a better state now than when I started playing. I remember when most matches there was a red mori and all the killer had to do was hook you once to use it. So many matches were a tunnel fest and ended fast with all survivors dead and hardly nothing done. I remember giving a lot of feedback on this back in the day and was so glad they changed that. It felt good to be able to play the game for more than just a moment every match.

  • Don't ever play Phasmophobia. You'll never have a full cup of coffee on your desk again. I love the Onryo jump scare. Scary themes is something I want to see a lot more of in DBD!

  • @RisingTron said:

Nope. The survivors I go against are usually always open to farm, but if they aren't I just play as normal, 2 hook them then go about my day. And killers are usually too busy sweating their balls off to farm so I never get those kinds of games as survivor.

I've gotten a few farm matches tonight and they're boring as hell. I remember awhile back when I first got matches like this I didn't know what was going on for awhile. I had never heard of farm matches and I always had that fear of the killer. At first these matches can seem fun or perhaps a relief from sweaty killer matches but I've been in so many now to where I wish the killer would at least pretend to play if they're farming. Now I'm worried if I don't farm with everyone I'm going to get "toxic time" again. 🤣

  • I've always wondered why we were able to keep the survivors and killer if we owned them but the map had to go. I never really liked that map, but I did think it looked really cool. I had a lot of very scary matches with silent killers on that map. Fun times.

Please just stop, you’re an embarrassment to survivors everywhere, and I’m a survivor main. There needs to be built in anti-repair features to stop this nonsense from occurring, without needing to go report every individual instance. Go play killer until it happens to you, then report back.

I would rather this than someone getting reported for playing the game. How about if a considerable amount of time has passed (maybe 10 minutes) then areas of the map highlight showing that there are survivors in that general area, but not showing their exact spot. I think that would be fair.

Also I don't think I'm an embarrassment to survivors everywhere. Everyone loves me in game. 😜 I'm just active here and give my opinion a lot on various things whereas I think most survivors or just players in general aren't here on the forums.

Grats on the 4k. Sorry you didn't get it in 5 minutes. I wonder if the survivors had fun before you eventually found them. Isn't that what video games are for?

  • Trolls are gonna troll. Do you think they'll pass up an opportunity to make people even more salty because of a BP incentive to play?

My position is both understanding and accepting and agreeing with BHVR policy that what took place in OP's thread was absolutely hostage holding. If you need to call that bias to reconcile getting ganged up on a thread than you do you, but killers should not have to surrender because the team that controls the flow of the game refused to play their objectives. It's lazy.

You speak as if I care I'm the minority opinion in this thread. I'll give my opinion on anything, even if I'm the only one with that opinion.

The OPTION for killers to surrender should be there. They can choose to do so if they want to. I do think survivors should eventually progress the match if the killer isn't able to find them. I'm not encouraging people to do this just to be clear. I would never do this. Honestly I don't think I could pull it off and it also sounds like it would get boring fast. I only take issue with the potential punishment of them doing this. I would rather something be implemented in the game to prevent this from happening rather than the risk of people getting banned be a thing. Perhaps if after so long a generator hasn't been interacted with parts of the map can highlight to show a general area of where survivors are.

Have you tried to find survivors when they wear the darkest clothes and hide in the most random spots or switch lockers just before a crow comes? On RPD it is hard to find a stealthy survivor because as soon as they hear the heart beat they can hide or scurry off to the other side of the map.

I've had a match where 2 survivors were left alive at 4 gens on swamp. Both of them were p3 claudette and they were NOT doing gens. One got found hiding under the docks in a corner and I saw her barely for a second as she tried to vault a window quietly. I chased her and thanks to bbq I found the other one before hatch even spawned. However, that wasted 20 minutes of my life.

20 minutes of not doing gens so I had to stroll around hoping my clown's gas bottles can smoke them out. Yes a survivor can hold the game hostage if they refuse to do gens because a killer can't repair them.

Again, I never denied that it is frustrating, annoying and boring as hell to deal with. My only issue with this is survivors being able to be reported and possibly punished for doing it. That is also why I suggested the surrender option so killers can concede the match when they fail their objective to find the survivors if they so choose. The killer can end the match if they find them and down them so in my opinion that is not survivors holding the game hostage. I know the devs see it differently as has been pointed out, to which I disagree with their take on this. This is all just my opinion.

They gave their opinion to me, to which I disagreed and told them why. I tend to agree to disagree with people when arguments tend to lean towards bias, like your own. I watched the video and skipped through to the parts where the killer found the survivors which is all I needed to see to realize they weren't holding the game hostage... in my opinion.

Ah. - Not sure about what other people said or thought - but I kinda think there's a misunderstanding then. I think most people don't have an issue with survivors evading the killer. And while it can be very annoying to have a super-stealth-team that leaves a gen at the slightest hint of a terror radius - it is not holding the game hostage. - People have a problem with survivors not touching any gens in order to evade the killer. I think that would fit your definition as well: "My definition of taking the game hostage is denying all possibility of the match to end." - Survivors refusing to touch gens for as long as they please is very much alike to a killer bodyblocking a survivor and refusing to hit them for as long as they please. --- But if you are actually going all the way and say "in theory the killer could still find them - and it doesn't matter if it takes them ten seconds, ten minutes or ten hours" ... then I guess you can have that opinion. But that opinion is against the rules, as the quoted post by Peanits earlier illustrates. You may have it - but you may not play according to it.

Which is why I suggested the surrender option be added to the game. One killer player may be able to find a stealth team pretty quickly while another may not be able to find them at all. It also depends on your perks and which killer you're using. I highly doubt there will ever be a survivor team that intends to stay in a match forever... for a day... or even for a few hours. If a team wanted to see how long they can last I don't think they should be penalized for that. I also don't think the killer should have to stay for it if they don't want to, hence the suggestion of surrender.

  • @JaviiMii said:

I'm so amazed at this back and forth that I'm inclined to believe this is trolling. But on the off Chance that it isn't and because I'm still kinda speechless I do have to questions:

    1) Can you agree that not doing the primary objective of the role for a prolonged period of time qualifies as "taking the game hostage" ?

    2) Can you agree that the primary objective of a survivor is the following sequence: repair gens - open exit gate - escape?

Its not trolling, trust me. Here on the forums survivors and killers strongly disagree with each other on a lot of things and it often derails into unpleasant things. I try never to go that far even when I think people are being unreasonable or bias.

I cannot agree that not doing the primary objective of the role for a prolonged period of time is taking the game hostage unless there is literally no possible way out of it. In the case of survivors evading the killer, it is possible for the killer to find them even if it takes longer than usual. A body blocked survivor must leave the match to move on if they are last and the hatch is open. My definition of taking the game hostage is denying all possibility of the match to end. Survivors evading the killer isn't denying them the possibility of the match to end. It is merely prolonging it.

I can agree that the primary objective of a survivor is to repair gens and escape. However I do not agree that these objectives should be done in any time frame that is convenient for the killer. The possibility of the killer finding a survivor remains so long as a survivor is within the map. I don't encourage people to do this. I just don't think it should be a reportable thing. That is why I mentioned the surrender option.

  • Is it really holding a game hostage if it is possible to get out of it without leaving the match? I know I don't get to define what "holding a game hostage" is because its not my game. However no one should be surprised when someone comes along and disagrees with the idea of a killer not being able to find survivors in a considerable amount of time is holding the game hostage.

  • Then we got nowhere in this whole conversation, so we'll just agree to disagree.

If you want to surrender the match, you must surrender your bp you would've earned, otherwise survivors would just abuse it

It would have to be a majority decision I suppose for survivors in all fairness. And I also think a certain amount of time would need to pass before the option becomes available so people couldn't just surrender right when the match starts.

  • @TeabaggingGhostface said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2967936#Comment_2967936

In regards to the surrender option: its literally right there in the pause menu

Survivors actively avoiding the objective is holding the game hostage

Are you referring to the leave match option which comes with a stacking penalty and loss of all BPs and experience you gained in the match? That is not what I am referring to with the idea of a surrender option. The idea would be you would concede the match and leave without a penalty and be awarded whatever you earned up to that point. It really would be the better solution to this in my opinion.

  • @TeabaggingGhostface said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2967931#Comment_2967931

I was referring to a survivor getting bodyblocked by the killer for a long time

In regards to what? THAT is holding the game hostage whereas in my OPINION survivors constantly evading the killer when the killer still has the ability to find them is not holding the game hostage. A body blocked survivor is forced to leave the match and can do absolutely nothing to get out of that situation. Sorry but it takes a lot of skill and dedication to evade the killer as a group and go a long time without being found. Perhaps both sides need a surrender option so "holding the game hostage" can be a thing of the past.

  • @TeabaggingGhostface said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2967925#Comment_2967925

So by your logic a survivor getting bodyblocked in the corner for 10 hours is perfectly fine

If a killer doesn't find a survivor in 10 hours they probably shouldn't be playing killer. Consider that logic.

I'm not talking about 1-2 gens being done, i mean ABSOLUTELY ZERO INTENTION TO PROGRESS THE GAME AT ALL

Not that I can recall, but I do know I have had a few longer than usual matches because of no interactions. I don't disagree that it is annoying and frustrating as hell, but the point is the killer failed their objective to first find the survivor. You gotta concede sometimes to the fact you failed and move on.

You ever had matches where survivors are actively avoiding doing gens? To prolong the match for as long as absolutely possible?

When I play as Meyers I'll sometimes get a match where 1-2 gens get done but when they know its a Meyers they seem to suddenly become super stealthy and I won't see any gen activity for awhile. Its a little boring yea, especially when you're just trying to get grabs off generators for jump scares, but its also my fault for not changing up my playstyle and trying different ways to find them. Killers move faster than survivors and survivors have to deal with AFK crows. As I said, its only a matter of time before the killer finds someone even if it takes awhile. Just implement a surrender option for killers that want to surrender.

    1. Playing only one side means your opinions on the game are largely ignorant.
    2. Finding two survs simply absolutely determined not to be found is not so easy as you might think, but you wouldn't know if you never play killer
    3. The entity would surely grow bored of such things, so some sort compulsion to work on objectives seems sensible.
    4. This isn't "Hide and Seek: The Game"

I think I could evade detection by even a good killer for an obscenely long time if that is what I was determined to do. But the level of god-tier fragile pettiness doing that for 20+ minutes would take isn't something I can identify with in any way.

And this is exactly why if a survivor pulls it off it should be considered well played on their end, not potential report with ban risk. The game does have a hide and seek element to it, but its not the main point. Escaping is the point but that doesn't mean a killer should never have to conceded to the fact they failed to find them in any amount of time they felt they should have to which they should also have the option to surrender and move on.

Since you don't play killer, i kindly ask you to stop commenting on posts about problems that killers face

And you can kindly ignore me. By the way, when I said I don't "play" killer that doesn't mean I've never done it. I've played a lot of killer matches as Meyers because its fun to jump scare survivors. Same with wraith. I've had matches where I couldn't find survivors for awhile but you know what? I never blamed them. I blamed me for failing to find them.

    Well, your opinion is wrong.

You can personally think whatever you want, it doesn't change the fact that you're wrong.

Agree to disagree and I disagree with you. I personally think its wrong to penalize a survivor for evading the killer for prolonged periods of time on maps that have walls and aren't that big. Finding the survivor as killer is part of their objective. If they fail in that regard, thats their fault. This is why I suggested the surrender option for killers who failed their objective in finding the survivors and want to go on to the next match without a leaver penalty.

I'm guessing you dc if you can't find anyone for a long time

    I don't play killer.

So you're deciding to ignore what the DEVELOPERS of the game have said in order to exonerate people who are holding other players hostage

I have given my OPINION on the matter which is only that, my opinion. I disagree with the developer's stance on this. I can give my feedback and opinion on it which at best could influence change but in the end they are the one's that decide what is and what isn't for the game. I personally think it is impossible for survivors to hold a game hostage, especially the same way a killer can by body blocking a survivor. THAT, for example, literally forces a survivor to leave the match. A killer still has the possibility to find a survivor, even if they are trying their best to evade the killer. I think most killers would eventually find a survivor in a reasonable amount of time.

Survivors not on their objective for extended periods of time is the problem here

Stealth squads need to be banned

Right... because a survivor in a horror game hiding from the very being that is trying to kill them is so unrealistic. I'm not denying it isn't annoying or frustrating for the killers, but so are a lot of other things for survivors. If a killer fails to find the survivor they failed part of their objective. FORCING a survivor to work on a gen, run the killer or cleanse totems is what I have a problem with. Surrender option when? Or is a killer conceding to the fact they couldn't find the survivors too much of a fail for them.
