    Heavily Salted Pudding

People probably assumed the killer was running a tryhard build?

You know what's stupid? I had a survivor message me after they dced at the offering screen (I had a mori) and told me they dc every time they see a mori. Fully believed that it was not punishable.

@Kabu Actually lots of high rnaks tend to tunnel the first kill and then drastically change their behaviour to a "nice killer", still getting the 4k cause of the 1° death they got early on

Goes along with what I said in getting the kill early enough. Whether that's from playing "nice" or playing dirty. If you get that one kill but it takes 3 or 4 gens to do so then the odds are in the survivors favor.

Thats a balance issue in general. People could do that any time they want.

People trying harder/running their best stuff when more bp is up for grabs isn't surprising its understandable imo

It's understandable but that usually means everyone gets less points.

Example: Gens get repaired in four minutes and the killer only had the chance for two hooks so most of the points that survivors get would be from repairing gens.

Omegablink God Nurse with meta perks who wipes the floor with everyone in four minutes only to get like 14k bloodpoints.

That's what has happened, from my experience, with every blood hunt.

Farming gets you more points for that game but it usually takes longer. So, it's actually less points overall a period of time as you play less games. Playing normally, in general, would net you more points over time. People don't seem to think like that though.

  • As others have said. If the killer is doing well enough to get a kill early enough the odds of any survivors escaping is drastically reduced. For me, that threshold is killing one survivor before two gens are repaired.

Ugh i can't waiiiiit for people to complain about others just wanting to play DbD and not farm all day.

Thanks for reminding me that happens...

It's not just about farming though. These events bring out the sweatiest builds which can ruin it for others. Especially those who really are trying to play like normal.

  • From what I've gathered, people think that dcing during the offering/loading doesn't count against them. Then they get defensive when I tell them otherwise.

My thoughts are, it's their account and if they want to get banned for dcing that's on them.

I personally get all perks anyway so in the future, by the off chance i do want to use it. I don't have to get it later.

Same, I have every perk unlocked on killer and am working on getting all the survivor perks too. My long term goal is to get every killer to p3 level 50 with all perks.

  • Honestly, when I heard about the dark sense buff I thought detectives hunch was also being buffed. Guess not

And with Legion you can 0k and safety pip. The pip system is busted since they changed it. The day devs will rework the pip system based on the killer itself, it will always be too late.

I've gotten rutheless from a 0k on Legion. Got lots of hooks but not kills. That was in purple ranks, I think.

  • Please don't buy Legion. He is a terriblely frustrating killer to play as.

I don't believe you understood what I was getting at. However, before I clarify my point I must point out that with the recent changes I actually managed to go against a Freddy with OoO and looped him without any threat of being downed because there was no mindgames that the killer could've performed.

To clarify my point from my original post however, it doesn't become a matter of "can Freddy handle it", it becomes a matter of "is this good design?". If a player has OoO and they're against Freddy with the current oblivious effect, you eliminate any and all mindgame possibilities because you constantly see the killer which is the exact reason why the coldwind maze tiles got changed as they featured the same problem. Secondly, this creates a new problem where BT can no longer accomplish its intended job which will promote tunneling as when the survivor has deep wounds and is oblivious, they cannot do anything and will go down no matter what they do.

It's also important to note that if it's a big deal on Freddy, it will be even worse for other killers that could possibly pick up on the oblivious effect in the future such as in their base kit, by the means of addons or perks as they will also suffer the same exact problems.

"it will be even worse for other killers that could possibly pick up on the oblivious effect in the future such as in their base kit."

I'm gonna cry if they do that to Ghostface and Wraith.

  • How close was the killer to you? I'm asking because if they were close enough they can hit you before you speed away or even proc balanced landing

I always avoid grass, my point was that it really isn’t a hard counter.

I was just adding onto what you were saying. Thinking of more things to keep in mind while playing against her though it would help against any killer.

Iron Will doesn’t counter good spirits, my friend @Kabu informed me that he listens to footsteps whenever survivors have Iron Will. Spirit isn’t op but Iron Will doesn’t hard counter her.

Yeah, lots of people who have iron will keep on running or walking making it easier to track them while phasing. Or go towards somewhere obvious like a pallet or window. Sometimes it's best to find somewhere to remain still. It's also important to keep in mind the map and what you're walking though. Grass/corn makes more sound and moves. While moving around in Mother's Den (Huntress's map) you make wet sloshing sounds which is very easy to hear

If we are mentioning perks, fixated can help greatly against Spirit. It increases walk speed and lets you see your own scratches making it easier to play around with scratch marks then walk away.

  • I'm picturing Dwight holding a red balloon while walking down the pier in the swamp and happy as can be.

Adorable. I think David is waiting for him at the end of the pier.

They did do some work a few months ago but this last update has made it worse then before. It was working pretty nicely though, obviously no where near PC but it was pretty good. I play on PS4 so I'm not sure if Xbox experiences the same issues.

Given the feedback after this last update I bet they'll be working on console because of how seriously bad it is. If it's back to how it was after they optimized it I'd be okay with that 😊

I hope they fix these frame issues with the upcoming hotfix

but is the hotfix the next midchapter patch? or a seperate update?

Hotfix patches and mud chapter patches are different. Hotfix are sent out shortly after the release of a new chapter to fix issues that weren't handled during the testing phase as well as any new ones that crop up. They tweak things a bit sometimes too, just depends.

Mid chapter patches occur between two main release chapter that can either add onto existent content or bring something new.

  • I'm all about buffing Legion but old Legion was horrible for the game. You think dcing is bad now? Almost every game someone would dc against old Legion. Wasn't fun for anyone with all the dcs. Non-toxic legions and survivors alike. Toxic ones probably enjoyed it. Examples being videos that start with "This build will make everyone dc" and procede to exploit and use Frank's mux tape with stab wound study.

This is gonna be a radical nerf no one is gonna like but:

She's visible at all times when using her power. There problem solved. She still moves same speed. Her add ons still do the same thing. But now?

She now has to actually work to get her hit using her ability and not just press the button and wham you've gotten it.

It also cuts down on mindless ''I'm just gonna stand here." tactics.

And it's honestly more authentic to her Japanese Onryo roots. None of those famous Japanese ghost girls she's based on ever operated by the American standard rule of ''Ghosts are invisible."

Nah, they were always right up in your face with creepy movements and spastic twitching.

Instead of making her visible at all times perhaps she could have a "tell" for when she is phasing. That way she can't stand still and "mindgame" while giving survivors more feedback which is what is complained about most (she's just standing there and I have to guess what she is doing).

Also, what has already been suggested, remove her ability to bump into survivors while phasing. This would give survivors more of a chance at getting away/losing her.

  • Makes me want to theory craft which two killers would do well as a team.

Myers and Ghostface, stalking the ######### out of survivors.

Anytime a new DLC is dropped expect an uptick in DC's and game crashes. It's sad that it literally is an expectation at this point. 😕

Survivors have been getting dced after being/downed/hooked. If I pick up that downed survivor then it will dc me too. It's easy to tell when it's happening as their animation will freeze for a few seconds then dc.

Yes, because Ruin specifically states great repair success zones grant 0% bonus progression. Since Ruin skill checks have great success zones, then you will lose Mind Breaker tokens.

Keep in mind this perk ONLY affects REPAIR SKILL CHECKS, not healing, sabotage, and so on. :)

This is a really interesting idea =O

  • What do you mean? To be able to buy legacy/prestige? If that is the case then they no, they won't put them in the store

For different outfits to have to bloody prestige/legacy look? Again, no they wouldn't do that.

Good luck. At their currrent rate? They'll be lucky. There's a reason killer lobbies are getting longer and longer to find.

It's because the current path they're on is chasing people away. Mostly survivors. The game is far too oppressive on survivor side because the killer meta is HELLA strong right now, while survivor meta perks have all been repeatedly nerfed. As well as window and pallet hits. Being moried instantly out of a game. Constant Ruin and Pop back to back.

But it's on both sides really. Survivors still have things needing address like instaheals, sprint burst negating a lot of killer abilities, most of the maps still in their favor heavily, etc.

The game has gotten to a very stale state in terms of meta and in terms of how the game in overall is played.

It's also why a majority of the Fog Whisperers program seem unhappy with the game or seem to be playing it less.

It's kind of like BHVR is in a state of ignorant bliss about just how bad of a path they are on.

I never have any trouble finding games as a killer.

I felt like that a while ago, i even took a month or two off from DBD because i stopped having fun. The reason why is because all my friends stopped playing DBD from boredom, new games and because you can't fight back. I came back because i wanted it to work so bad and luckily i got hooked again (pun not intended). I started trying builds that i never tried before, tried different play styles and different cosmetics just to be different for some reason. I started having fun again even though with all of the killer and survivor problems. If i keep having what i think are very bad games i play something else, watch tv or something. Maybe you need a break or look a other parts of the forums. There's Fan creation, Media, Ask the Community and others. I even look at Event Archives of old artwork people did. Hopefully you find the fun again.

    Great advice Elk

  • Especially if you camp but who would do that? Well, camp right outside myc range.

  • Get in a chase as soon as you can and down as quickly as you can while making sure the others aren't making much progress on the unblocked gens

In short, pretty much what you would do normally but some of the gens are blocked off.

About the same for me but with any killer.

I’ve noticed the same thing. I think it has something to do with all the noises he constantly makes for no reason that makes you lose injured survivors or something to do with gown his body model interacts with the map. I typed a long rant a few days ago about how he is basically unplayable but it HAS improved a little bit since day of release, but very little. Glad I’m not the only one that noticed. And for me it’s JUST him, nurse is fine as far as I can tell.

My first thought is that his foot steps are causing issues. Another possible cause is its portals. More specifically, its Of The Abyss power when multiple portals have been placed.

an offering is supposed to boost stats, not boost power.

What do you mean? So far, offerings effect bloodpoints, survivor spawns, amount of chests, moris, amount of fog, and hook density.

  • This thread is buzzing with activity. Quite shocking seeing so many in agreement that Doctor needs fixing. Normally, conversations about him become quite charged. Especially when it comes to his current 3 gen strat.

At the very least, Doctor should be buffed. It would be positive change if they don't want a full rework. One frustratingly negative thing is how inconsistent his shock interupts are with vaults and pallets. As well as the range of his base shock therapy.

  • @8obot1c said:

    I thought of

"Your aura reading range is increased by 2/4/6 meters for each survivor still in the trial."

This affects all aura range reading perks.

    Your perks last 30%/40%/50% longer"

Corrupt Intervention would now last for 180 seconds and Thrilling Tremors would last for 24 seconds and others.

This may or may not be good.

Increasing aura range might be nice. Increasing the duration of perks might not be as it would take up an extra slot that could be used for something else. Maybe, it could be an offering instead?

  • Oh my god... My Mom has a friend at work whos husband dislikes cats. Doesn't believe they have personalities. Hates them so much that he doesn't try avoiding one in the road while he is driving. What an ass.

I'm okay with dogs as long as they are more chill. My friend's dog Skippy is a good example of one. Though he is trained to be her service dog.

  • Scratches and aura can be difficult to track on Ornmund on top of it having a lot of safe zones for survivors. Though, with Ghostface, I do quite well. There are so many places to get your stalk on and be a sneaky boi

Similar with Rotten Fields. Stalking can be hard due to all the corn but it's easy sneaking up on people.

After playing the new update for a few days now I've noticed that frame rates are...... getting worse?.... dropping more frequently? The frame rate whenever I open the mouth of the demogorgon drops to a freaking blur!! ... optimization has always been rough--> to be nice!. but this is proper bad.

When I first played the new update the game played good (about the same as always which is tolerable). As I continued playing though as the demogorgon I noticed the fps, lag spike etc..... are way worse.... this is on every map that I played on.... I played nothing but demogorgon yesterday for about 6 hours to see if I could notice if it happens on some and not all but it happens on every map... this is frustrating!....

It gets really bad. When I was reading about how it becomes unplayable I thought people were exaggerating. Unfortunately, they weren't. At least when it comes to Demogorgon.

Last game I played was as Demogorgon at the meat plant where the fps got worse as the match progressed. Frames are fine when standing still but as soon as I start doing anything... Afterwards, I asked one of the survivors if they experienced any framerate issues and they said not really.

I've noticed slightly worse fps with other killers too but nowhere near as bad as Demogorgon. Sucks, because I really want to play as it 😞.

If you have 0 TR at a jungle gym in a chase, and the survivor has Object of Obsession (quite common these days, at least for me) they can see you the entire time, making mindgames impossible.

I did something mean yesterday to someone who had OoO. Mori'd them right off the hook. Something about that perk tilts me immediately once I know they have it

  • HybridPanda, Otzdarva, and Prod. Prod is who got me into DBD about a year ago when he posted his first video of it.

  • This thread lmao. Legion is great and all but Myers is the true Daddy.

  • Why? To shorten cleansing time?

  • Just had a match with Demogorgon after having bren playing other killers for a while. The fps issues are only bad when I play Demogorgon. It's fine when standing still but trying to do anything else severely hurts framerate. Also, it seems to get worse as the match progresses.
