Too many.
Although I'd really love to see some variation of Slenderman in the game, maybe more animalistic and predatory one. Something tall, faceless and in the suit.

If it looks like a baby then it is a baby [QUOTE]
You're either trolling or extremely ignorant and that is possibly a disrespectful thing to say without doing your research.
Have you ever heard of deformities? Ever heard of Noonan syndrome? You know, the genetic condition where normal parts of the body don't develop?
Yeah, maybe do research because if something looks like something, then it must be that shouldn't it? Oh, that person looks nice, they must be a nice person right? Wrong, looks are deceptive.
These all are excuses, in the end of the day victor is looking like a baby.

The entire game revolves around people being abused, so...
One thing is conventional showing of violence (otherwise we'd get a lot of gore and we get splashes of blood at best) and the other is LITERALLY showing how the baby is getting killed with all details (let's call things their names, instead of saying "nah, nah, he's not a baby, he's the same age as his grown up sister, so it's okay". He looks like a baby, so he is a baby).

We already crossed that bridge with reboot Freddy.
One thing is to say that X did abuse and the other literally SHOW it.
It's also fascinating that the ones being abusers are survivors and not the killer. What an irony, bravo, devs

People are seriously getting mad about 'crushing' a demonic little monster that a lot of people confuse with a baby?
By that logic, I could get mad at BHVR for adding Plague because she glorifies bulimia but I don't see anyone complaining about that.
But she doesn't eat anything. It's a miracle that she has anything to release

Me too. I'm just hoping her perks get buffed so I have a reason to get them.

Legion should be now able to control different members in one trial like this new killer.

Isn't that from Miss Periguine's?
Yeah, one of my favourite movies because of the soundtrack and these things.
They are one of few cinema monsters that actually scared me as an adult. The way they ambush their prey, the fact they aim for the eyes, gosh, that would be so good fit for DbD.
-
I want these so badly. An almost fully invisible beast, that will sneak upon survivors and grab them after a few seconds of standing on top of them if they don't spot the shadow/environments movements and that will use its tentacles to start vaulting/breaking animations from ~5-7 bigger range.
-
We know almost for sure that
1) Killer is female
2) She's using her own hand as weapon (she has very sharp nails/claws/etc)
3) She will likely be low profile and be able to run on all 4s
4) She makes loud rabid noises.
Idk honestly.

Nope, nobody notices that :(

Because survivors will die by daylight and since the sun will never rise, they will be dying forever. They will never reach the
truthdeath(and to people saying that saloon has sunrise, it's much more likely to be a sunset).
-
M1 killer can't be good by definition. In the end you'll reach limits you'll simply be unable to overcome, while you have no limitations on killers like Nurse, Spirit or Blight.

I recently played against one of devs. If I remember correctly, he was one of those responsible for lighting on reworked maps.

And well, if any survivor miss the neon/orange glowing killer aproaching you silently, then its on the own survivor not on a bad design
Believe me, ghostface blight skin is much harder to spot in shroud than you think.

I never said that? But would you also see a P3 Meg sat in tall and dark grass? Or Zarina in her dark brown suit? And so forth and so on. There’s plenty of characters you can be stealthy with.
The Claudette bias needs to end.
Ok, let's nerf ALL dark characters in general? I don't care, the problem is mainly with claudette gamers and ridiculous situation where survivor can simply stand still and be extremely difficult to see.
-
I'd rather want an ability to kick a survivor off your way without getting long cd animation

His post didn't say or imply anything remotely like that, so I'm going to guess that he doesn't.
Complaining about in Claudette in 2020 is so extra.. They've messed with the game's lighting and her clothing more than enough to balance her.
Try to find urbaning claudette on new macmillan/badham/yamaoka/etc without tracking perks or powers
-
@iZombie said:
There’s nothing wrong with her default clothing. There’s plenty of other survivors you can be stealthy with. I mean, I can go entire matches without being hit once as Felix using his blight cosmetic.
Playing as Claudette doesn’t automatically turn you into a ninja. Me and my friend often play her in her P3 cosmetic and they’re normally always the first survivor found, regardless of the killer as they just suck at stealth.
Playing as Claudette doesn’t seem to make them as invisible as people claim. 🤷🏻♂️
Do you really believe that sitting still in tall grass as dark small character and as big and bright character are one and same things?

@Mikeasaurus said:
I honestly despise Blendettes, not because of the play style, but the fact when I have one on my team, they ALWAYS leave you for dead on a hook and try stealth around for hatch. I had one do it today while I was killer. They left 3 teammates for dead on hooks in basement, which I made sure to walk to the oppisite end of the map so they had a chance to escape from it. They each died so I questioned what the hell was happening. Found hatch, closed it and headed to an exit gate. Blendette was there in the shadows, and the only thing that gave her away was the bright red Medkit that she was holding. I felt absolutly awful for the teammates that she left to die, though thankfully, they didn't hold it against me.
The worst thing is that when you get 3 such clowns in same game. Just prepare for the biggest residentsleeper game

And buff nurse please, she has lowest kill&pickrate.

Also, halloween skin has no flappy parts at all and it's pretty hard to spot aswell on many maps.

I don't care whether it's OG or licensed, I just want wendigo.

I don't belive it's licensed, I just wanted concrete proof that it wasn't. As the person who commented seemed pretty certain. We still don't know. We're just making opinions based on the evidence we have.
Information we have is already more than enough to make right conclusion that the chapter isn't licensed. There's literally no way the teaser of a LICENSED character, featuring part of him ( I assume the hand is the part of the killer and not survivor) wouldn't have a trademark of the licence.
-
@ProfoundEnding said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1734199#Comment_1734199
Where has it been absolutely confirmed to be original? The most popular leaking site hasn't even commented on the matter.
1) Teaser has no trademarks. If you look to any licensed chapter trailer/teaser, they always have license holders trademarks.
2) Leak sites have revealed that chapter 18 characters could be bought with shards
3) Devs on one of recent streams mentioned that the chapter is OG (I'm not going to bother looking for a proof here, so I allow you not to consider this as an argument, although 1 and 2 is enough to be sure chapter 18 is original).
Although I'm quite positive the new killer is going to be running on all 4s, have animalistic traits and just be an overall inspired by Wendigo, I'm sure this is not Until Dawn wendigos.
-
Mories have bigger impact, but losing to them feels much less worse than to keys, bc keys basically steal your victory, while mories just make game much harder.
-
The chapter is confirmed to be original.
We're getting wendigo-inspired killer at best.

After listening to the shriek the creature made in the trailer, I compared it to the sound the Rake makes in its game when it attacks. They are (to me, at least) almost identical. The claws, the fact that it's public domain so it doesn't need to be licensed out and, if what you say is true, the lore all add up as well.
Maybe it won't be identical, but I believe we are getting BHVR's own interpretation of the Rake.
In silence also has its own interpretation of the Rake - this fiendish thing that is has a lot of Quiet Place monster's traits like hearing and blindness

Half of JoJo's stand powers could make up a unique killer.
My personal fav's would be:
Touching an object with power makes it a bomb that deals damage to all survivors happening to be nearby/contacting with it when you press the switch + heat seeking missile that chases after survivors on its own and damaging them if it manages to catch them.
And this thing
Pressing power button locks survivors in the last action they were performing (basically makes the game force survivors do the last command the player gave them, like holding W or holding M1 and ignoring any further commands until the ability is over so for example survivor was holding W running into the window while this ability was activated, the survivor would just keep running until he bumps into the window and that would be so until the ability is canceled/over, then the survivor would be able to control themselves again) and reveals the positions survivors will end up once the ability ends.
Killer is allowed to freely move during that time, although his movement speed is reduced and he cannot attack survivors until he cancels the ability. Survivors cannot see anything that happens while the ability is active, however there's short wind-up time giving survivors a chance to start doing an action that will not lead them to dead end. The unique trait of this ability is that it could be activated any time, no matter whether the killer is locked in animation, stunned or performing any other action that does not allow usage of killer's power, however it would still require a short wind up.
Secondary ability has 30 seconds cooldown and allows to dodge any stun that could be dodged or blind incoming 3 seconds after the activation of this ability. So you have to predict whether the stun occurs or not and since you have "forecasted" what is going to happen, you manage to avoid this.

Blight
Alchemist Ring + Compound 7
Sacrificial Ward (to deny possible map tempering, I don't need mori).
Infectious Fright, Pop, Thana, Forced Penance.
Every time I feel like I'm going to get a strong squad, I instantly switch to blight with this setup and if I've warmed up enough, I will crush them. Of course there's no chill gameplay when I do this build, pure sweating and tryharding. Forget about Spirits or Nurses, one can be outplayed and the other is fighting bugs more than survivors (and often loses) and if doesn't win the chase in 2 blinks, then she loses. Blight is what's the true SWF's nightmare is. Imagine a killer, who can cross the entire map in ~10 seconds, has no CD after hitting a survivor with his power, can find any hiding survivors and shuts down almost any loops with his ability.
Infectious Fright is to increase snowball potential and prevent possible sudden saves so if screams don't proc I can safely pick up survivor and vica-versa, chase after his failed saviour.
Pop is to get some time and defend gens, I usually let go of the ones I can't access with my rushes or where survivors are more safe from my power.
Thana+FP is synergy to 1) Slow down survivors 2) Keep them broken and significantly increase my snowball chances. Any time they try to go for bodyblocking or other saving bs, I get 1-2 survivors broken for 80 seconds and later I can capitalize on that. Imagine being unable to heal against heat seeking missile that is compound 7 blight.
This build basically has no actual downsides - you can either play default no slug killer if SWF has anti slug and if they don't, you simply get a 4 gen and keep slugging them or hooking if you feel like you need your pop. Alchemist ring makes sure you can spam your power after every hit, so chases end in 10-15 seconds or you can bounce from one survivor to another better than legion. Compound 7 is a core addon for blight due to how it removes ~50% of human factor from your charges and allows to literally spam M2 to go after any survivor within lethal range, then rinse and repeat until they all are dead. No survivor perks can actually threaten this build, it has no hexes to be shut down or other stuff that survivors can hard counter, with an exception of Infectious Fright being countered by calm spirit, although lets be honest, nobody runs calm spirit.
Blight allows to quickly remove survivor from the game (no caring about DS, eat it and down survivor in 10 seconds again) and apply insane 3-4 gen pressure due to how huge reach his power has and how far survivors have to be in order not to be under the threat of being attacked. Blight is extremely dangerous on most survivor favoured maps like Ormond (even though he slides off textures, there're still a lot of open spaces for him to chase survivors and his power shuts down all ormond loops) or Haddonfield (same here, just learn this map and survivors will curse you. You can even replace Sacrificial ward with mori if you'd like, the kind of survivors this build is oriented against isn't going to through lery or gideon in anyway, unless they know what they are going to face.
Of course this is one of "no fun allowed builds" and it's not for memeing or chilling. At least for me. When I take this build, this means I'm serious and somebody's getting PTSD after this match.

I don't get the people who will complain about dead hard for distance when all the other exhaustion perks give you like 5x the distance. People will come here and say "dead hard for distance has no counterplay" when neither does people sprint bursting off gens. And sprint bursting off gens is significantly more annoying when used en masse by survivors since you will never start a chase in a good position.
The buffed mindbreaker is a very good answer if you hate it that much and are on a killer who can close the distance on gens without spooking people off them, either through a natural low TR or by using monitor and abuse along side it.
Difference is that none of exhaustion perks (with an expection of balanced landing, yet it's debatable) DIRECTLY ELIMINATE a mistake survivor has made in chase. Dead hard basically gives survivor a third health state for zero downsides. It always wastes a lot of resources just to bait DH out - keep a chase to the point where you were supposed to end it - hit that survivor, only to see them press a button and say "no you didn't".
Even Sprint burst that allows survivor to sit in deadzones safely has downsides of having to walk and not working in chase. Killer also doesn't have to win the chase against that survivor to bait the perk out, only approaching the survivor is enough to make them spend their SB.
Lithe simply increases distance survivor gains after vaulting the window.
Basically, 150% perks can be split up 3 categories - Ones that give extra advantage on top of the one you've already earned (vault a window and gain extra distance - lithe), ones that make certain zones not 100% death - Sprint burst that allows survivor to stay far from pallets and windows and Balanced landing that allows to go on hills while being chased and consider high drops as an escape route and the ones that simply cancel you mistake - Dead Hard. Press a button to ignore your mistake. Got mindgamed? Press a button to cancel this and still get to the pallet. Got greedy and made an extra turn? Press a button.
Dead Hard for distance is bullshit.

Oni, Hillbilly and a bunch of similarly strong killers have those mapwide sounds too. It's to offset for their strong powers. Plus, it fits the killer as an interdimensional monster.
key word is strong. None of demo's abilities are even close to be strong. Also, never use "it fits" as an argument in BALANCE discussions. thanks.
