He needs buffs and a lot of QoL changes. He's one of those killers who are technically fine, but once you look harder into them, a lot of issues get exposed.
-
Nah, I doubt it. I'm more positive they're going to address some broken safe loops there and make this map way more bearable to play. Also, it is going to be much better visually.

You should probably get rid of hooks in the game and hanging people then. Replace them with a hole in the ground or something. Or hats labeled with entity in them.
Just don't replace hooks with crucifixions

We believed that the previous name for this particular weapon might be upsetting or otherwise harmful to some of our playerbase and made the decision to change the name.

People would argue that it’s a horror game and something like that is fine, but really, it’s just in bad taste. Suicide is still and will always be a touchy subject and a subject that is deeply rooted in the lives of many people who suffer from depression or have lost a loved one to it. It’s just for the best that BHVR doesn’t steep their toes into something like that with the risk of backlash. They probably thought the name was cool/edgy but quickly back peddled on it and settled for something that was a bit more tasteful and fitting.
A lot of people start crying about the removal or censoring of stuff like this because “oh, stop being so sensitive” or “it’s a horror game, it’s fine!”. It’s just called being a respectful decent human being (company).
Why couldn't the name be made appropriate in the first place? I can't believe that through the whole development and a few weeks after release the name was fine, but then suddenly "oh #########, somebody might get upset about an edgy name of a knife".

I agree. (I hope you’re not being sarcastic, because I genuinely really like the perk after spending significant time with it the past few months recently).
I'm serious, I'm currently trying to run this perk in every ghostface build because its perfect for that kind of killer

Mindbreaker - its effect is so wonderful, yet never obvious.

I cant see any downpoints in this
she will stop being mindgame ( that its sucks to play against)
and the power will have to be used smart instead of just hmm i am going to stand still
And this first 2 lines represent how spirit is nowadays
Nah, bugged Spirit turned off her brain because any kinds of mindgames or reads were useless and maxed sound on her headphones.
Her power simply became "stand still for 2 seconds and become faster than billy for 10 seconds". Not like it wasn't like that, but at least you had an option to try to read survivors or perform mindgames, which was no more during the bug because survivors had a dead giveaway of where spirit was.

Git gud or quit.

I really liked Saw, even though I don't like Pig because she's so poorly executed in the game.
On the other hand, Ghostface is legit my favourite lorewise killer, Doc and Blight coming after, even though film related to his mask aren't pretty good. The whole idea of killer who appears to be perfectly normal, blending in society, stalking people for weeks and then attacking them when they least expect. Ghostface in Danny's persona really does have no real motif. He simply enjoys that and thinking that literally anybody could be like that, but you'll never get to expose that is chilling.

I like the fact the lobbies change, I did really like the Halloween one though, I must admit.
Why won't we get an option to choose loobies ourselves? I would really like to return to some old lobbies and listen to Stranger Things music regardless of the killer

How does this differ from people who owned Legacy before versus those who don’t?
you really hope they'll answer that?

Those times were tough.
If you got caught as a survivor you were prone to an actual facecamp, or if you're lucky just a trap under the hook and a proxy camp.
As killer if you did anything slightly offensive (such as chase a survivor), the survivors could just punish you at infinities (or even common jungle gyms) and basically force you to DC/AFK, unless the survivor(s) get bored and finally leave. Vault speed of killers back then was awful and of course there was no window blockers, bloodlust, medium vaults etc.
What did the devs do before really resolving these game breaking issues? First of all Mathieu said THIS about infinites:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9IFjDFdHhI
The Devs also introduced Decisive Strike at the same time Haddonfield was introduced. Now, if you somehow got caught at an infinite, you got a free escape anyway. That was a horrible feeling as killer.
And people wonder why there is such a big US vs THEM mentality in DBD...
That's one of the reasons Nurse got spammed so hard for last years.
-
So sad there's no downvote option on the forums
-
I miss old Freddy. Surely he had some issues, but they could've been solved. I think having some of new freddy mechanics like Alarm clocks being merged into old freddy would've been good.

So what you're basically saying is: As long as a surviovor has to READ or GUESS wether she's actually phasing, or where she is, thats perfectly fine? But Spirit having some sort of hint to her location during said phasing is a no-no? Gotcha.
Don't put words in my mouth, I never said that.
Having Spirit giving some hint to survivor that she's using her power is fine, though it contradict the idea of her power, but making her directly tell where she is all time? You can't be serious if you thought this was fine
-
Weird question, I could understand if you said "have your account fully wiped" but simply losing 1.5 prestige on every character and losing 500 cells isn't such a big of a deal. I'd still keep my legacy, teachables and every character unlocked so simply re-leveling ones I want wouldn't be too hard as I play maybe 3-4 characters and just have others maxed for a good picture.
If I had such option though, I would make Slender man (50% left) and Alien happen (25% left).
-
Not it didn't.
It just made dealing with Spirit laughably easy because survivors didn't have to do ANYTHING to deal with her because they literally knew 100% of the time where she was, thus making Spirit the only one having to actually "Read" or "guess" what her opponent does. Moreover, this bug didn't change the "headphones for win" Spirits, but literally killed any mindgaming as Spirit because survivors had too much info about her.
I suppose that's fine because as long as you aren't the one suffering, it's all good.

The developers said there would be no more exclusives, and this new glitch gave ALL players exclusive cosmetics. for what reason would they take away those cosmetics if they no longer want exclusivity?
Why many skins (legacy for example) still remain exclusive in that case? Battlepass charms? Please don't start with "this is totally different", I'm sick of that nonsense argument

Fun fact: Literally any cosmetic can be removed from your account at will. Even those you have spent money on. The EULA allows this. Going back on the stance on exclusives is entirely possible.
Virtual Goods are licensed to you, not sold. You do not own the Virtual Goods, and you acknowledge and agree that all Virtual Goods represent a limited, personal, nonexclusive, non-transferable, non-assignable and fully revocable license to use the Virtual Goods, for your individual, non-commercial, entertainment purposes only. You have no right, title, interest, or ownership in or to any Virtual Goods. We may terminate your license at any time and at our sole discretion.
EULA also allows Pay 2 Win in most horrible ways it could be.
Just to show how predatory this agreement is and why devs or anyone else should never use "EULA allows" as an argument, because if we do everything that EULA allows, we will kill the game, burn it to ashes and then ######### on its corpse all together.

On the one hand yes, but on the other hand that doesn't mean it isn't a problem. If everyone just rushed gens would that reduce the amount of campers? Yes. Is that fun, though? No. Is it reasonable for people to be frustrated about camping even if they choose not to rush gens? Yes.
Believe my experience, the moment survivors feel they are about to lose, they start rushing gens like they are playing tournament, unless they are as clueless as babies.
Not rushing gens is fun as long as survivors feel safe, but once they feel threatened, like when they see Nurse with legacy (even though I play her now only for dailies, bc she sucks ass much more than she ever did) or Spirit or Blight making quick downs, they start sweating to have gens done. Then, they either feel safe again and 99 gates and keep ######### around to mess with killer or they still feel unsafe and try to leave as fast as they can.
-
I'm dead sure this is bug, because otherwise they would've announced that

That's not it at all. Going for a risky save is just substantially more fun than holding M1 for a few minutes until the killer camps your teammate to death, and that's extra true when the guy on the hook is in a party with you. People just want to have fun.
Then they really shouldn't be making countless posts about camping being bad and bitching in chat that killer didn't want to chase after them like an idiot.
-
Because survivors just can't help but try to deny killer everything even if it costs them the game.
There' a fine lane between altruism and stupidity and survivors just love to cross it.
-
@Artick said:
So you can basically play any of the top tier killers in the same game, at any point? This does not sound busted at all.
If he only had access to a portion of their power, it wouldn't be that broken at all.
Turns into freddy - he can use his dream projection with an increased cooldown and his terror radius is replaced with lullaby
Turns into Spirit - starts passively phasing
Turns into Nurse - 1 blink
Turns into Pyramid Head - can cast his PotD and so on.
Put some increased CD on these portions of powers and allow him to cycle through all killer roster at will.
-
Junji Ito`s works are too sick and unnerving even for the Entity. But seeing one of his monsters in dbd would be awesome
-
In terms of visual and sound design I have complete trust in behaviour so even if we ever get Springtrap, I'm sure he'll look good.

Completely agree, but at least the fix ain't so bad you gotta throw the game for it
You still have to additionally slow yourself down after every PotD which technically nullifies the buff.

To get out of that you only actually need to breifly tap M2, you don't have to go through the whole sword in-sword out-slowdown #########.
Nonetheless it's frigging annoying

You see Pyramid Heads? I never see any except myself. I don't know why all of a sudden no one plays him since his Power became even stronger.
It's heavily bugged rn. I played one game and every time I missed/landed my PotD I had been stuck in rites of judgement animation that also slowed me down so I had to re-cancel it everytime and go through that awful new canceling animation. It maybe strong or whatever, I don't care, it's irritating to use at the moment and I won't touch phead until this is fixed.

I'd agree mostly with this though I'd say he needs to be either:
- Slightly slower
- Easier to detect
- Stalked survivors have their stalk regress over time
Definitely not easier to detect.
-
@Customapple0 said:
Something along the lines of:
tremendously increasing the time to stalk survivors
Leaning no longer gives bonus stalk
Stalk progress decays when not in night shroud.
If the survivor being stalked forces you out of stealth, you lose all stalk progress on that survivor.
While a survivor is exposed they can be killed by your own hand, perhaps had a unique mori animation.
He just suddenly stabs them in the heart, then drops on the ground and slips neck. Like in opening scene of Scream

Doctor is pretty easy to beat if you have more than 1 braincell to drop pallets earlier. He has no mobility and his antiloop tool eventually goes his undoing as he technically saves pallets for survivors for late game.

On the other hand if every object is slippery unless there is a pallet/survivor(/sometimes a window) you will be hit no matter what.
Something tells me if survivors got stuck on every single pixel it would feel much more unfair than it feels to slip off.
-
seems we got scammed. why am I not surprised.
-
It hasn't been even 2 months, but you crybabies already make posts about "how bored you are with killers running same perks".
Imagine playing against 1 loadout for 4 years.
-
He surely must play freddy, forever freddy to be precise, most broken and OP killer build. Against 4 ooo squad.
-
My other guess for this effect and explanation for him being bright/not while shrouded could be whether he is stalking or not.
There's certainly some condition, triggering which ghostface can become less visible and bright.
-
Got mine thanks to some guy who posted codes on these forums.

None.
It was just a lame stream of them playing on 1 map with 1 killer for 3 hours 3 days straight. You didn't miss anything, believe me.

I already see the bug/rng coming,
Open the chest with the purple key and find...a purple or green key
>youre now a happy survivor
Don't forget keys could simply be excluded from chests pool or be made to always find items with addons.
1) Take key without addons
2) Find key with addons that guarantee good medkit/toolbox/flashlight/red key
3) Search another chest to get cool item / search some special chest that spawns when red key is brought in and get cool item.
Now add on top of these that key could potentially not go to waste after searching just one chest or that there could be way for chests to refill on their own (for example after a certain amount of time, chests' disappear and reappear in new places refilled) and so on and get a cool new item meta. Right now plunderer builds aren't popular because they are not very consistent, but key could change that.
And when I'm referring to "special red key chest" I mean some alternative variation of the chest that could be locked behind some requirements (like doing certain amount of gens or taking damage, etc), unlocked only via red key and granting some special items that could heavily affect the trial. Such chests (and items coming from them) would be supposed to have big limitations and price for usage, but their effects could give big advantage.

You know, there are peole that enjoy those streams.
If you don't care about it cool, but you don't have to open up a thread only because that whole event wasn't quite that what you were hoping for
Am I not allowed to express my disappointment?
-
It could be good.
Perhaps purple key could allow to open chests very fast&increase chances for good item (perhaps you can even predetermine what item it will be with addons) and red key could allow to open some "special" chest where woud lie some unique and impacting item.
