Stop blaming the killer for adapting to the hatch mechanic. Blame the hatch mechanic for existing forcing Killers to have to slug for their 4k. Like what are you even complaining about? 4 gens left? Of course the killer is going to slug for his 4k, you don't deserve a free win playing that bad.
This.
Hatch mechanic right now is basically 2 coinflips - 1st coinflip is a hatch spawn and the second coinflip (if 1st one fails to favour survivor) is the exit gates spawn. It involves very little skill or interaction between killer and survivor and it also requires not much effort from survivor to escape - get lucky to find the hatch or get lucky to get good exit gate spawn to then just wait for killer to check your gate and leave for the other. It's just dumb.
Would've been 100x better if when there's last survivor remaining and no gens were done, EGC instantly activates, exit gates start opening on their own within ~80% time of EGC progress and both survivor and killer see each other's position revealed if they aren't in a chase. Some pallets could even be restored for the last and final chase.
-
Recovering and crawling away in an attempt to find hatch/get healed.
Don't forget regretting not taking unbreakable.
-
He is physically incapable of fighting, even with Entity's powers. He also is against murder, at least if he has to kill somebody himself, so Amanda still remains a better choice. The other good choice is Hoffman, wish to see him soon

SWF is not a problem. Most SWF are groups of idiots who want to mess around in game. The problem is when they set out to abuse game mechanics. But you can not assume every SWF group is this way. And there isn't really a way to deal with them outside of taking that mode out of the game entirely and that would be such a huge misstep.
Just because some people don't want or simply can't use the advantage they get for free, it doesn't mean this advantage isn't unfair.
-
As long as devs take actually justified suggestions and not random ######### like "pig op I just got killed bruh", then the game could get better.
-
Freddy is just easy to use at full potential and that's it. Compared to some other viable killers at best performance he's pretty bad.
He's only actually strong when uses forever build, but otherwise he can't finish chases fast enough or pressure survivors heavy enough to "dictate" his pace of the game. In the end he's just an m1 killer who can end loops slightly faster, who can tp to gens and who can slightly passively slowdown survivors.
If survivors know what to do and don't ######### around, he can be defeated pretty easily by doing gens and ignoring dream state. He can't snowball, he lacks instadown so chases last pretty long, his abilities don't spread damage or anything. Just do gens and drop pallets earlier. If he has noed - let him facecamp that one survivor and leave, you've won anyway.
-
This all is just disgusting honestly

We take the most upvoted questions, we've said in the past why we're doing this. If we don't take the most upvoted question we get accused of cherry picking the questions but quite often the most upvoted question is about upcoming things which we are not in a position to discuss yet - that happens for many different reasons.
Although in yesterday's stream I think a lot of questions were answered fully, there were a few things that can't be answered further but we gave out as much information as we possibly could.
Why can't you name the questions you would like, but cannot to answer and then answer the questions you can answer? If you don't straight up ignore most upvoted questions, but name them in first 5 minutes of Q&A as the ones you can't asnwer, I doubt anyone would get angry. Just 5 more minutes and everybody's happy.

Yeah, I do that too, although it doesn't make such survivors less annoying
-
I don't think that matters anymore.
In their current positions I think of all survivors as asexual since that kinds of relationship is the last of their worries.
As for killers, well, I GUESS at least Wraith and Nurse have SOME KIND of feelings for each others, as for other killers, including the ones we'll never see, I guess the Entity allows them to do any kinds of twisted things in trials as long as they contribute to the main task

40+ seconds. I have found that you can usually break chase on it, therefore, the window doesn't get blocked.
But yes, it isn't nearly as bad as the old god loops or infinites. That doesn't mean it should be here though.
Of course nobody says it's infinite, yet it wastes unacceptable amount of time for m1 killers. It's like old ironworks main window - counterable, but survivors still waste a lot of yours time in it

Pig is also only used half as often, which most likely means (given the fact that Pig is a Killer more in the middle and not Top Tier like Spirit) that players who play Pig are most likely those who really like her and are good with her (like, Scorpionz will most likely boost her Winrate a lot).
I mean, it is hard to understand, and sure you will get more laughs with your one-liner. But getting to those conclusions is the reason why we usually dont get stats.
Remember me next time they say Pig isn't getting buffs because "she performs well enough" =)
-
Pig has better winrate than Spirit, kekw, that's all you need to know about the accuracy of the statistics.
-
Why am I not surprised.
-
Oh, so now when the killer is playing "guessing" game because this is exactly what happens with Spirit RN, she suddenly became fun.
Lmao.
-
I like most of new tiles, though main in the groaning storehouse looks concerning for m1 killers (where the window&breakable wall are) from certain angle. =
-
Well, whatever, play spirit only for dailies anyway. Just don't touch my boi blight, bhvr

It's not even like they're hypocritical honestly. We aren't asking for it to be made for the community again. Just for it to be given back to the rightful owners.
They are being hypocritical. They are saying one thing about event&exclusives and then the polar opposite about legacy. You can literally look through their posts to see how they talk that
"we know that people who owned event/exclusives might get upset, but they actually should be happy that they got to use these skins earlier than others" about event/exclusives and then shamelessly say that "giving out legacy would make original owners upset"
-
The game would've been way scarier if survivors couldn't see beyond certain range like 20-40 meters. Or if it was much darker for survivors
-
You shouldn't be banned for accidentally exploiting/finding out such things. Once you find something like that - you report the issue and STOP abusing it. Otherwise you deserve your ban.

Moris are tools to be used within the game...
Third party comms are not. I can't say I understand this comparison.
There's not enjoying something and playing against something that breaks the game.
Yeah. Even if mories brake the game, they can always be changed. And there's nothing realistic that can be done about 3rd party comms.

I see nothing wrong in playing how you feel like it, instead of following some twisted morals that benefit your opponents. He wanted to play slugfest, I'm pretty sure he knew the risks of it, so I'm not here to judge him, since he isn't the one making whining posts trying to put himself in a good light. Instead I see a petty survivor crying about a pretty predictable reaction on a sabotage - slugging. According to your words and the way YOU described the situation - freddy overreacted, but I can totally see how he just got a good opportunity for 4 slug to win and you made a drama out of it.
Also, it's funny how you act so arrogant, even though there is no truth on your side. You are just a crybaby who can't move on to the next match because you got outplayed. Moreover, you and your team got 4 slugged by a Freddy - killer with one of the worst snowball potential in the game. Considering how easy it is to counter slugging even from best snowballing killers like Oni, I wouldn't be making posts about that game, because that would be equal to telling everyone how much I suck at the game to lose like that.
Yikes.
-
Don't see anything wrong here honestly. You clearly showed him that no hooks are allowed so he just followed the rules and now you act like that's is his fault. The whole operation was your idea XD

I was about to respond to your comment on the other legacy related post but for some reason that was closed and the recent comments were deleted.
Regardless, I'll copy and paste what I was going to say here:
+1
In the recent Q&A section, I've asked if they would restore legacy on a ONE by ONE basis by checking our steam prestige achievements. I'm only asking for 1 set of legacy back from this method because the prestige achievements only prove we prestiged 1 character 1/2/3 times before the deadline.
It's the bare minimum they could do with the least effort. After all this time I'd be happy with just getting one of my L3 skins back.
The process would be really simple too. We simply:
- Make sure our steam achievements are public
- Choose one character to receive legacy back on (e.g Claudette).
- Send a link to our steam profile to support (or our steam64id).
The support team then:
- Confirms we prestiged 1/2/3 times before the deadline.
- Gives L1/L2/L3 to our chosen character.
It's so simple. Hopefully the developers will take this into consideration, although I'm sure I will just get a blanket statement if they even answer it at all on their next stream :/.
Would you support what I suggested (only getting 1 set of legacy back based on achievements)?
P.S It's cool to see a familiar face. I remember you were on the steam forums a lot before people migrated to this forum.
It was mine post that got deleted bc I called them out for being hypocrites.

As for your comment OP: Guess this discussion is done, cause this has nothing constructive and im not wasting my time on a "hurr durr swf bad delete11!1"

Once again, i honestly don't have a horse in this race. Most of the time im flying solo, and when i do play in a team its in KYF, because god forbid even our non meta, non BMing butts ever DARE, to play together in ranked matches. Nope we get tarred with the same 'bully' brush even when we lose, and obviously deserve the abuse that comes our way.
However. For the last time and for those that appear to be hard of hearing / reading.
If a dev states that something is NOT cheating, it is NOT cheating no matter how you want to color it.
Your own personal rulebook does not contain actual rules. Nobody has to follow your rules and vice versa.
If you have a problem with SWF, fair enough, i can actually sympathize with the people who offer earnest and thoughtful changes that might help smooth things out. The people who actually put thought into how their proposed changes might effect both sides, instead of just doing their best to stick it to the other side.
But if you are sitting there INSISTING that people are cheating and that SWF was never intended to be a feature when proof of the opposite is shown time and time again, you're only adding to the problem that turns every attempt at a 'discussion' into an Us vs Them ######### slapping contest. And why on earth should the devs listen to anyone doing the forum equivalent of slapping both hands over their ears while screaming "LALALA IM NOT LISTENING" when the truth is laid out.
Once again, i have no invested interest in whether swf stays, goes, or is changed. But it amuses me that some people expect the devs to listen to them, when they can't even entertain the idea of listening to their fellow players.
>If a dev states that something is NOT cheating, it is NOT cheating no matter how you want to color it.
I already explained, that if they said "it was cheating" and could do nothing about it (and they can't) it would be a pretty sad thing to see. It's just easier for them to say that sharing information that gives unfair advantage isn't cheating, because they don't have to waste resources trying to fight what they can't defeat. That is why I call voice comms "legal cheating" since that's what it is - cheating allowed by developers.

Again, I agree there are balance issues between swf and solos. The only thing I’m disagreeing with is this myth that the devs didn’t intend to put swf in the game and didn’t anticipate swfs using comms. They clearly did, they just probably still have more work to do balancing them.
It certainly looks like it is not one of the important tasks, since how little was done to aid the problem since they directly admitted it exists.

P.S. Here's the exact Q&A session where McLean and Stefan talk specifically about whether or not swfs with comms were intended from the beginning. Short answer is yes, they were, but that game mode was put off initially to implement Kill Your Friends first at release. Question is at 9:05 in the video.
https://youtu.be/gTpZSllfMmw?t=546
Dead by Daylight | Q&A session #5 – October 26th, 2018
9:05
Q: Is using voice communication an intended game mechanic? As in, was it designed and balanced for this game in regards to solo survivors and killers?
Mclean: That reminds me of a neat anecdote. Because I often hear that survive with friends was not intended and was only added in response to player complaints and player demands. And I was there at the time, and also I think I our game director talked about this last time he was on stream. The thing is that the kill your friends mode and survive with friends mode were always intended. It’s just that at the time we only had time to do one of these modes before release, and we chose kill your frends.
I’ve seen that myth out there quite often, so no – from the very beginning we intended to let people play with their friends.
That being said, however, this is a game where we try and have this core atmosphere, this sense of isolation, there’s no spoken dialog in the game, it’s very lonely and quiet, except for the pounding drums when you’re about to die. And that’s all intentional, it really builds up the feeling of the game. But realistically this is a game in 2018 now, we’re not going to tell people you can’t talk to your friends while you play the video game. … We can’t stop people from communicating. (To Stefan) So you’ve often talked about your desire to try and lessen the gap a bit by giving more information that a coordinated group could have to solo players. Now we don’t have a lot of details what that looks like in the future, we’ve talked about lots of crazy ideas.
For instance it used to be that if you weren’t the killer or the obsession that you didn’t know who the obsession was. Now you do and you can get some interesting information like the little entity arms wiggling when the obsession is being chased. That’s information that a survive with friends group could have easily given each other but now solo players are able to see that. I would love to see some more subtle things like that and maybe perhaps some bigger ones in the future. Nothing to announce on that end.
But to bring it back to the comms – was the game balanced for it originally? I don’t know if I would say it was or wasn’t really?
Stefan: I think if you look at how much the game has grown over the last two years and how much we’ve learned about our playerbase and learned about how our game plays and how mechanics play out, I think it’s an adjustment period that we need to do regardless of anything else. Comms we knew were never going to be shut down, we just didn’t want to have it forced on players, that was one of the biggest mantras.
McLean: So if somebody didn’t want to hear voices we didn’t want you to fire up the game and hear someone’s voice in your ear. …
I would say it does affect our game design now where we’re not going to put any designs that hinge on some survivors knowing something while other survivors don’t. And now when we work on other mechanics we always have to ask ourselves “how is this going to work for a solo group versus how’s this going to work for a coordinated group. So that’s always a question we have to ask ourselves now. We do keep this in mind these days. Even if it’s not the “intended way to play”, we just have to acknowledge that that’s how some people do.
Well, in the end current game has no communication between survivors and even though it provides certain tools to share info, they are nowhere as powerful as voice comms. Moreover, current game is balanced around survivors NOT having comms, take a look at Trapper or Hag for example.

Okay so we could use a program that give us somekind of advantage out of game but is not cheating either. What happened to this game was that they ######### it trying to make a multiplayer without comms and as survs are main income they allow this bully simulator.
like I could be streamsniping one of the survivors to know exactly where they are. That's technically not cheating too .

I would start heavily buffing all M1 killers by making them less dependant on survivors making mistakes in chases.

For the record SWF is strong, and sadly it always will be by the very nature of it. You will never see 4 players play worse with comms than without. Just facts. That said there are ways to mitigate the strength, but even then killers would REEEEEE and dodge SWF.

To your points made sure you have information, but it comes down to if the information is useful or not
1. Perks like alert does give you information but its not very useful. Alert makes it so that the killers aura is show when they perform a break action. The problem with this is that this is not useful information. I could say to my team that the killer is braking something but thats vague. "The killer is breaking something." Is it a pallet? generator? Door? This doesn't help swf. And Object of obsession may be broken in swf but thats a flaw with the perk itself and not the team that uses it.
2. This has the same flaw with the first one being that the information is not useful. To good survivors when your playing against a trap killer you assume they are going to be placing traps near windows, pallets, loops and the basement because that's an effective strategy. You don't need a swf group to know that oh the killer shack has beartraps around. Relaying this information isn't useful to good survivors, you might as well tell me that humans breathe air.
3. You can often tell what perks the killer has based on their play styles if the game doesn't outright tell you. For the example you provided you can still get use out of the perk if survivors make a mistake. Sometimes survivors can make a mistake of what perks tha killer have if its not obvious.
In conclusion thees issues may provide information but the information has to be useful to make any sort of impact. And if your arguing that they shouldn't have this information then I have to say that it was information they were going to get regardless right? What does it matter that they get the information sooner rather than later.
So you are saying that knowing where killer is/other survivors are isn't useful or gamebreaking? Really? Also, just because you figure out the perks, knowing what they are because you were told instead getting to know yourself like in example with spirit fury, can be game changing
-
Cheating like that isn't good, but don't feel guilty about since they are doing the same.
