Please record at least 50 games in a row where you play without perks and addons on Spirit in rank 1. If she is so unskillful and OP, you won't have troubles winning any kinds of survivors there.

I think it would be good if devs removed any distance rush gained by DH and increase "immunity" window by a few fractions of second or allowed to use it twice before exhausting
So survivor doesn't "rush" forward, but "dodges" a hit.

Of course the Entity wouldn't let them escape, why would the captor let the captive out when it sustains them? All I'm saying is that the survivors and killers we have ingame find a way to outwit the Entity one way or another. Perhaps through sacrifice or martyrdom. Point is, there's a way out.
In that case they are going to fail. Everything that surrounds them are pocket dimensions under complete Entity's control and everything that is in them is made by Entity. It's like trying to win in a game against the person who created that and is able to change the rules in his favour all the time
Also, killers are not going to cooperate with survivors as Entity has some effective ways of forcing them to do what it wants.

The Observer makes it pretty clear there's a difference between the Void and wherever the lucky survivors and killers that escape end up. The Void is the last place anyone wants to be.
I mean, I don't think the Entity would just "let them escape" and would either trick them or will simply eradicate them once it will understand their motifs.

Except there is.

There's a way out and it's made clear by the Observer that the survivors and killers we have ingame, as shown by Dwight and Claudette, are the ones who will find the way to escape the Entity.
The question is "where will they escape". I highly doubt they will ever just get "free". More likely thrown away into The Void or some other place like that or simply allowed to finally die.

No. For Billy beginners for sure.
Despite the fact I've been playing DbD since beta, I've never actually played Billy and remain quite bad at him. After playing a dozen of games on both live and PTB, I found myself struggling horribly even on live servers where Billy is "op" and barely 2k`ed in any of these games, even though I brought best addons and mori, on PTB servers I didn't even try using chainsaw for instadowns and played like M1 killer, because chainsaw is too punishing to use it and even so I had a lot of difficulties using him. I didn't like Billy before "rework", but sometimes played him for daily, but now I will never ever touch him.

guess Oni is gonna be our new "perfectly balanced killer"?
I guess the huntress or hag are next on the chopping block, since survivors hate them most now.
As for Oni, we've got to wait a year before no other high tier killers are left and survivors would switch to him.

From what I saw, curving or flicking on billy (if I understood you right) is not working anymore.

Am I seriously going into this argument?
First point - fair enough. Keep in mind I was replying to someone else, not you.
Second point - If gameplay and mechanics are not your point, then why are you comparing oni and Billy specifically? Might as well compare any killer with Nurse, who surpasses any other killer. To your point that oni is better than billy at everything - here are a few axamples:
Can oni get to the other side of the map and interrupt multiple Survivors before they can complete even 10%of their first gen? No.
Can oni insta down his first survivor? No.
Can oni insta down survivors at all times during a game? No.
Can oni hook someone and immediately get to the next survivor across the map before they can hide/or get to a strong tile? No.
I could go on, but you get the point.
Third point: you're comparing apples with oranges. I. E. You're trying to do a like for like comparison for things that are fundamentally different, based on a single similarity. I could do the same and say that clown is a worse freddy, or that plague is a better Deathslinger, but we all know there is a lot more to freddy and clown to being able to slow down survivors and to plague and Deathslinger than being able to attack survivors from a long range.
Fourth point: most killers are not available in the base game. If you play enough to argue and claim to understand changes to killers, you've played enough to have enough shards for a dlc killer
I am comparing Oni and Billy because they are fundamentally the same. They both can be described as "killer able to move quickly around the map and instadown survivor". Also, I would like to answer your points as I don't agree with them.
>If gameplay and mechanics are not your point, then why are you comparing oni and Billy specifically? Might as well compare any killer with Nurse, who surpasses any other killer. To your point that oni is better than billy at everything - here are a few axamples:
Like I said above, I am comparing them because they are fundamentally the same. Their powers have similar functionality and their playstyles are very similar.
>Can oni get to the other side of the map and interrupt multiple Survivors before they can complete even 10%of their first gen
>Can oni insta down his first survivor?
So, these two points are basically the same and I think I already said, that in "early game" Billy has access to his power, while Oni doesn't. Nonetheless, it doesn't make a huge difference, as Oni gets access to his power within first 60 seconds of the game. Reworked Billy can't do much with his saw in 60 seconds, so he isn't really better here. He just can use his gutted power from the start with all that means.
>Can oni insta down survivors at all times during a game? No.
Technically Billy can't instadown survivors at all times aswell. He is limited by overheat. I'm not going to provide all math, as I'm too lazy to do that, but from what I saw and read, after going through the entire map or revving chainsaw at least once (or twice) you would almost get full overheat and would have to wait before it wears off enough to rev saw again, and knowing that a guarantee saw hit is only when a survivor is in dead zone, billy can't just instadown survivors anytime as they will put him on cd by selling pallets/dodging/doing other counterplaying stuff. Oni can use his power basically anytime once he gathers it in these 60 seconds and after that he simply jiggles survivors and forces them to feed blood to him.
>Can oni hook someone and immediately get to the next survivor across the map before they can hide/or get to a strong tile? No.
Yes. Especially if you down a survivor within first 4-5 seconds of Demon Fury or find blood orbs near hook to regain power quickly if you spent a good amount of the charge.
Like I said in the beginning, you are wrong here. Oni and Billy are fundamentally the same killer. Their power in nutshell is "a sprint with instadown that is hard to control". The difference is that Billy can use it from the start of the game, but is punished with 3 different kinds of cooldowns (overheat, stun, fatigue) and Oni has to farm it by injuring survivors, but he is not punished by overusing it, missing or landing hits (at least not enough to actually matter, I know that his power decreases faster when he does that) or bumping into corners. That is why I'm not comparing clown with freddy (but I will compare Freddy's snares and Clown's bottles, because they serve a similar purpose), plague with deathslinger (but I would compare plague's range attack with DS`s power or with Huntress' hatchets, because they serve a similar purpose) and so on. Back to the topic, I will say it again, Billy`s rework is a mistake, because his saw is WORSE than Oni's power even BEFORE addition of cooldown, but now, when Billy is limited by cooldowns, that create pretty similar time gapes between usage of his power, like Oni has while farming Demon Fury, Billy is not worth picking over Oni unless you just like using his power and don't care about performance.
>Fourth point: most killers are not available in the base game. If you play enough to argue and claim to understand changes to killers, you've played enough to have enough shards for a dlc killer
I'm talking not about myself, but people in general, who would see the following thing: one killer that is free and is a worse version of a killer that is purchasable. My point on this remains the same: there should not be a situation where 1 killer is a worse version of the other. Similar killers are okay, but they should be good and bad at different things like Ghostface and Myers, Deathslinger and Huntress.

Ummmmm....
"The Oni: Fixed an issue that caused Survivors to drop twice the amount of Blood Orbs when performing actions while injured."
Nonetheless, Oni farms his power really quick, so that change doesn't matter, I've already tried playing him on PTB.

If OP determines fun on this basis, then he has a clear cut choice between the two killers and it's an easy swap, so he has no reason to complain.
That said I still maintain the point that the 'this killer is the same as that, but (insert random point)' are fundamentally ridiculous. Both oni and Billy can run around the map and have an insta-down - that's pretty much where their similarities end. There actual powers have different conditions to activate and play very differently during a chase. They have absolutely separate aesthetic and gameplay loop.
Same goes for huntress and Deathslinger.. The only similarity between the two is that they can attack survivors from a range. Mechanically they play completely differently and in a chase they behave completely differently.
That's why I'm dismissive of anyone who tries to make a point like OP. It's just not worth a discussion
>If OP determines fun on this basis, then he has a clear cut choice between the two killers and it's an easy swap, so he has no reason to complain.
I'm not talking about "fun" in this post, because it's subjective. Some people love playing new nurse for example and I am sure New Billy will find his fans too, anyway that's not the point of the post. I'm talking about other things.
>That said I still maintain the point that the 'this killer is the same as that, but (insert random point)' are fundamentally ridiculous. Ehm, no. Firstly, that kind of point is not ridiculous. We are talking about PvP game and comparing things in PvP games makes perfect sense. Secondly, I am not talking about aesthetic or how their gameplay feels. I am talking about what these killers are capable to do at best and how Oni surpasses billy in practically everything, thus making his rework a huge mistake.
>Same goes for huntress and Deathslinger.. The only similarity between the two is that they can attack survivors from a range. Mechanically they play completely differently and in a chase they behave completely differently.
No, not the same. Deathslinger and Huntress are a PERFECT example of what similar killers should be. None of them is better than another in EVERYTHING. Huntress has unlimited range of attack, but longer wind-up, Deathslinger is limited by distance, but can shoot almost instantly, Huntress needs to quit chases to reload, Deathslinger reloads midchase, Huntress can directly damage survivor with hatched, Deathslinger needs to reel them closer and so on. Same applies to Ghostface and Myers. As for Billy&Oni, one is able to gain his power insanely quick, is not limited by cooldowns, can snowball and shutdown loops and the other one is Billy. Whan can Billy do that Oni can't? Use his power from the start of the match? That's it, because after 60 seconds of the game Hillbilly becomes a worse version of Oni, as Oni can farm his power through jiggling survivors and uptime of it pretty low.
>That's why I'm dismissive of anyone who tries to make a point like OP. It's just not worth a discussion
Not it is certainly worth a discussion, because situations like this, when one killer's power is a WORSE version of the power of other killer, are simply unacceptable. ESPECIALLY when the "worse" killer is a free killer and "better" killer is locked behind paywall/grind.

I love people trying to do a like - for - like comparison between killers in this game. Did you ever think that people like to play them because they enjoy using their power; like the gameplay; enjoy the aesthetic? Not everything is about finding the killer that can net you a guaranteed 4k with the optimal perks, power and playstyle
Seriously, I struggle to understand how people who think like this manage to even enjoy the game. I'd be bored out of my mind if i had this mindset going into a match.
I'm simply stating a fact: Oni can do everything Billy can do, but better. Before Billy's nerf it wasn't that important, since Billy wasn't limited by cooldowns or anything like that and was able to spam his ability, but now Billy can't do that and is forced to sit through overheat, losing a lot of time. Oni has none of these downsides and is able to gain his power extremely fast.

I don't think it possible to do anything to the Entity, considering that it doesn't just "hold the strings", its power fuels and creates everything we see in the game, it keeps survivors alive and so on.
Imagine being in simulation and trying to challenge the person who is controlling it from the outside. That's what DbD technically is. Trials, fireplace everything, except probably the Observer's lair (but who knows, I believe he is just a pawn and he hasn't escaped the grasp of the Entity) is fully under Entity's control and is created by it. Those who try to oppose have their will crushed and the most stubborn ones get eradicated. There is no escape. No way out. Nothing.
-
Lorewise this never happens. Killers are either have no interest in that or they are simply afraid to do so.
-
You become good killer when you stop
> trying not to tunnel/prox for the sake of giving survivors a fair chance
-
Ryuk was never a "killer" in the anime, a scary character or a bad guy. He was "that one" comedy character who just had creepy appearance.
Also, no. There are so many anime and manga examples that are much better fit for DbD than Death note, "Parasite" for example.

I think you're reading into it too much chief.
It's a joke because everybody wants to know what the next chapter or next rework or next upcoming mechanic or whatever and the devs always keep it a secret until just before they're ready to release the feature. That's all it is.
I'm just pointing out that they literally gave up what the killer is on Anniversary poster (weeks before official reveal). What stops them from doing that again? Once again, it could be just a coincidence, yet there is still a possibility.

They could've used a lot of ways to "delete" the last part of the phrase, but they chose this one.

It's just that the only people that have the interest are fnaf fans. There isn't much to work with on a character that is nothing more than a rotting carcass in an animatronic suit. No survivors to base from, no map potential, and what about his "weapon"? It would just be his blunt hands. There are simply better options to work with that would fit better anyway. Just go play the two mascot-suited killers we already have lol.
Well yeah, but imagine how cool and unique such killer could be.
As for his arms, it could easily be sharp bones and metallic parts piercing his arms.

DbD is a love letter to classic horror icons, the only newer licenses we have gotten was Bill from LFD who canonically made sense for the game and is a part of a cult classic game from 2008 and Stranger Things which was also a love letter to classic slashers, FNAF's main audience is children, something DbD's devs and community is very against, regardless of your opinion on the subject a Springtrap chapter is something only FNAF fans would appreciate, and not something that your average horror fan is going to look at highly, people are gonna be disappointed by it's announcement (because let's be honest having FNAF in the game before Alien, IT, Jason ETC, is just a kick in the nuts.) and it most likely wouldn't sell well compared to other bigger horror licenses. Whether the game is even considered horror is up for debate but I won't get into that now, but it just doesn't fit the theme that DbD has always stood for, it's a game of appreciation for the originals. People saw Silent Hill and went nuts because they figured this meant that any video game could make it into DbD despite the fact that we've had Bill from LFD2 for the better part of 3 years, Silent Hill made sense and fit so well because it's one of the original horror games that kicked off horror in gaming so it made sense. I personally am not a fan of IT, I think the original movie is pretty good and hope to god that if it's added it is in it's original form, but even if it was added as the modern adaptation I wouldn't be mad because it MAKES SENSE, it's a franchise that got it's roots in a cult classic film that has a very strong following. This is the point where I stop because I'm tired of ranting, I've played the games I think they're interesting and the lore is engaging but it's not something meant for DbD in mine and many others opinion.
About "fnaf's main audience being children". Aren't they growns ups already, since fnaf has been on radars for quite a while. And I don' think kids aren't already playing DbD, considering the amount of whining there is on forums and post-game chats

The only thing needed to be done with facecamping is adding a bloodpoint/emblem reward for a victim as he basically sacrifices himself for the sake of giving his team a chance. Otherwise these strats don't need to be addressed - tunneling has "antitunneling" DS and BT, camping is countered by doing gens.

The only situation I see survivors able to resurrect is when killer brings an Ebony Memento mori offering.
Kill survivors without having to hook him, however they get resurrected after a while up to 2 times and leaves the trial once killed for the 3rd time.
Adding such mechanic to counter very specific circumstances that are already not much in killer's favour is a bad idea
-
I think its okay when some killers get nerfed and other get buffed, so meta is changing.
I'm not very glad with how Billy's (and Nurse's) reworks in particular didn't add anything into them and only lowered their skill ceiling, while also (as for Nurse, and probably for Billy as well) made them boring to use. Mechanics like blink charges or overheat don't add any depth to character, they don't allow to do more stuff, they only narrow things that can be done with their powers at peak perfomance and that makes me sad.
I'll certainly try billy before stating he got nurse's treatment, but from what I've seen, it all looks like he got butchered.
-
I believe he is african-american, his parents could be from africa, but he certainly lived most if not all his life in USA.

From current blight cosmetics we can see that the corruption affects each killer indiviually. Most changes have metaphorical background behind them: Nurse who strangled her patients is being suffocated by her innard, Wraith who died inside after knowing he killed people has a hole in his chest and his whole appearance is no longer humane, but fully monstrous, Clown used paint to put a smile on his face, which he eventually carved on his face, Doctor who experimented with his patients became a stitched abomination and so on.
Each blight cosmetic represents something that happened with killers in the past, something they did or something that is their true nature and it reveals it, makes their appearance fit what they are on the inside. My guess for the next cosmetics is that each of them would keep that leitmotiff
Legion's blight would probably fuse them, unite them as they are nothing without each other.
Oni's blight would show his demonic and raging nature, he'll lose his human form once corrupted with blight.
Deathslinger would probably reveal his vengenful self.
There is also a little possibility for Demogorgon and Ghostface to have blight skins as these killers both have received cosmetics designed by BHVR personally.

Did you really compare FNAF to iconic slashers? L m f a o.
FNAF is something that will (likely) disappear years down the road. Something that’s popular for a while & then fades into the background. Halloween, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street; they’re always talked about, whether you realize it or not. I’m not trying to diss your beloved game, but I think you’re exaggerating.
Time will show. Anyway this game has a special place in hearts of many gamers, some of which play Dead by Daylight and who would be happy to see Springtrap in this game.
