I don’t know you at all. But welcome back! :D

Only reason I still play the game is the lack of a better one. That's it. As soon as I find another game to obsess over with an active community I'm done with DBD.
This.
All the time I've put into this game and the fact that there are no better games IMO. It's obviously very hard to make a good horror game that sustains over time.
-
I survive about 30-40% of my matches. Definitely more deaths than survives
-
I used to hate them, up until I startd to bring Bond into my solo matches on a regular basis. That makes it much easier to coordinate heals etc so now I don't hate them anymore.
The problem is the amount of time you where slugged. Really boring.
-
I din't think it is because survivors playing solo is bad. It is so much more to it. Here is ONE OF MANY factors:
When you play solo you are at a higher risk of playing with people who just doesn't care about you. Your "teammates" will rather focus on themselves, their interests and will throw the game just to complete this.
For example a hard challenge, or a challenge that just takes a loing time (cleanse 20 totems). Playing solo you can ignore your teammates that you just don't care about and rather find totems. Totally throwing the game for the rest.
This is, in my opinion, one of the bigger flaws and reasons why the gap between solo and SWF are so big. And sadly, there is nothing the developers can do about it.

But it does not surprise me that this Forum defends Killers being dicks. Classic here.
All that person did was give 2 reasons why a killer might not hook survivors in response to your message nothing more and nothing less so there was no need for you to respond the way you did and saying "But it does not surprise me that this Forum defends Killers being dicks. Classic here."
Should we start listing how many times survivors have defended survivors being dicks, if you don't want people to respond to your comment with simple and nice answers just for you to turn around and say they are defending killers being dicks then don't comment on a topic which is going to leave you open for people to answer back on why survivors/killers might do it with out going after you or the role involved.
At nearly 12k post on this forum you should be leading by example on how to respond to comments with out turning back to they gave a good answer while being polite so i'm just going to sink to calling them defending the role in topic dicks.
Let's be honest with one another, Killers will defend other Killers on this forum, no matter what. It's like talking to a wall sometimes. And of course, some survivors are the same. BM'ing should not be defended.
Yes, slugging is a valid strategy. But when all 4 survivors are down I don't see any reason not to try to end the game. The "no hook in the area" is the only valid reason imo.
I've been slugged to death even though i letterally crawled to a hook and laying right next to it, with the Nurse standing over me and nodding her head. Do you defend that?

Had it happen to me last night too, thought it was just me or that I was mistaken. Found a yellow flashy in chest, escaped, but no item in hand. Ill have check my recordings from last night but cant right now
Happened again.
But now I checked the flashlight count in the load out menu and I got one more. So it adds up but you don’t keep it in your hands.

Corrupt Intervention, Pain Resonance, Pop Goes the Weasel, and a fourth perk to your choice
4th perk could be Deadlock, BBQ, Iron Maiden, No Way Out or others..

Because if you compare to last year anniversary chapter, this one is pretty mediocre.
The Turkey is the best thing to enter the fog in a while!

The fact that Self Care is on the "meta list" shows that the average DBD player is not a sweatlord. On the contrary, most players are casual players and the skilled forum-members of this community are a mere percentage at the top..

@OnlineScrub said:
After the many nerfs and meta changes, Freddy Krueger is now nowhere near the terrifying broken monster that he was believed to be. Why has he still not gotten any sort of Add on overhaul? Many of his add ons are either just too situational or just not bring any value at all. His add ons seriously need to be looked at because he has arguably the worst add ons in the game.
I hope they make him more viable again as well.
It was very depressing going against slow down Freddy all the time, but now I actually miss it..

@Zozzy said:
If he is b tier then it will only last the first week.
You think they will nerf the Turkey that quick?
I don't think nerfs are necessary tbh

And the winner (IMO) is:
Turkey.
Haha what a good call.
Imagine giving the Dredge a Turkey-ish outfit with Turkey sounds.
-
I think you are incorrect.
The way to fix this game is make the gap between solo and swf smaller and adjust under performing killers accordingly.

He's probably A tier if you ask me. Perhaps low A tier, but A tier. It's still early to say of course.
And yes I agree, he is incredibly fun, both to play as and against.
Yes it is too early say indeed. We will probably have to wait another month to know for sure. Killers will learn to play and survivors will learn to counterplay.
I will just have a lot of fun in the next days facing a lot of Dredges I guess.

Spirit is not an option for me anymore.
Whatever you decide to play, change you profile pic to your new main :D
-
Good for you, hope I run into you one day :)
-
To answer you question: No, it is not necessary.
Although there are some people on this forum who will defend the Nurse at any cost and say it is “a valid strategy”.
That being said: people CAN play however they like.
-
Demo, Clown, Billy or Spirit!
-
I would not be opposed to see every character have a LGBT+ outfit actually. Whatever the devs can make that looks cool. It's a game and everything can go for me :)
Would love to see Felix in a drag outfit for example.

Play Sea of Thieves instead.
OMG yes I miss that game. Thanks for reminding me. I will play tonight :D
There is nothing like sailing the seas and playing some tunes together.

There should be 1 killer and 1 survivor daily ritual.
-
We feel for you. Everyone has been there.
Think about this: There are no good games without bad games.
Hope you stay and contribute to the community even though you had a bad streak.
-
I don’t think SBMM does too much. I play vs all sort of skilled players.
I mostly play solo q. Killer sometimes. Playing solo I die 70% of my matches - yet there is no correlation between deaths and killer skill. Just pure randomness it seems.
My take is that the problem is not the SBMM itself, but rather how they prefer short queue times with it which makes really bad synergy..
-
Yes please! Watching the new season and there so many cool skins, map and possible new killer..

Legion bubba and….. idk this last one is kind of difficult since I dislike a bunch of killers. Hag would be next I guess but huntress would be 4th
You don't like to be ran over by flying busses?
-
Plague, Hag and Trickster
Every time I get a "Get chased for XX seconds"-challenge, I face Hag or Wraith who literally gives you 0 chase time despite actually being chased. Wraith is actually fun to vs, but Hag is just a crouchfest.
Every time I get a "Heal X survivors"-challenge, I face Plague who totally denies that.
Trickster is just ugh!

The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde could be a really good dlc chapter if done right. Instead of making the two minds in one character just make Dr Jekyll into a survivor and Mr Hyde as a killer. Dr Jekyll can be a Tech based survivor with generators and traps or some kind of healer. His personal perks can be tech related or medical related that can help him and help the team avoid the killer. Dr Jekyll can have outfits like a lab coat or Victorian clothes but cleaner or different from Mr Hyde's and probably no top hat.
Mean while Mr Hyde can be some what of a brute but not some big built guy like trapper but with a average height of a male like legion. His outfit of course is Victorian styled with the top hat and cloak but also his clothes could be dirty or bloody for either a stock outfit or a outfit you can get in store. For Mr Hyde's weapon it can be a walking cane like the one he used to bash people in the book and his power can be some what related to anger or madness for an example being punished too much by a survivor can make him more powerful with speed or strength. His perks could be references of him from the book or perks that can make him really unpredictable.
His Memento Moris could be Mr Hyde bashing the survivor with his walking cane or/and/before pulling out a vial/bottle of a elixir and pouring it on the survivor causing extreme pain. There are many ways you can do a Moris with Mr Hyde since he is pretty brutal and you can probably do something with a walking cane or a elixir.
Also how they both came into the entity's realm can be some thing like that the Entity was watching the story unfold and some point at the end of the story where Mr Hyde locked him self up in a room while Dr Jekyll's friends was bashing the door down or another version was when Mr Hyde was trying to make a run from the police but either version is good to choose but before Mr Hyde was found by police The Entity began talking to Mr Hyde.
The Entity told Hyde that it could separate him from Jekyll and have all the victims he could kill if he accepted it's offer.Mr Hyde accepts and black fog starts to surround him then he experience a horrific pain as if he is being cut in half and minutes later it stops...... as the black fog goes away he finds himself in a abandoned mansion and in front of him is the Doctor himself......Dr Jekyll.
Mr Hyde thinks to himself : Now the real fun can begin.
Just a idea for a chapter since the characters are in Public Domain and you rarely see the two used anymore now these days in the media even though they did inspire a lot of creations that people made based on the book.
Will update or edit when more ideas of the concept are made.
Bumping this from way back!
I'm actually pretty interested to see if someone has thought this chapter over. I think it could be very cool!
Any thoughts on survivor perks (Dr. Jekyll) and killer power/perks (Mr. Hyde)?

Hmmm... Seems like i should reinstall the game to alleviate the situation for survivor a little bit with my 8hook/0kills no camping/tunneling/slugging playstyle. Maybe that will make them more happy.
Oh wait, no, that only leads to them taunting and bming the hell out of any friendly non tryhard killer up to after game chat dissing/insults.
Thank the tunneler/camper equivalents on the survivor side that not many friendly casual killer are left.
Both sides have driven each other into a corner over that years.
Please reinstall the game again <3
The game deserves a player like you. The needs a player like you.

I will never look at Nea the same way after reading that comment haha

If your friends make you play vs a killer with higher mmr and also makes sure you escape then your rating will get higher than it should be. If you escape vs a killer with higher mmr your own mmr rises faster - at least to my knowledge.
So yes, when you play solo later on you will face better opponents than you probably should.

@KateMain86 is simply posting their opinion here and basically being told that you are not allowed that - nice.
I think it is a valid point to make a surrender option when a certain amount of time has gone.
Thinking back to it, I believe I have seen a streamer/youtuber with his Godskilled friends trolling a baby killer for far longer without letting the killer hook them once. They were not doing gens just plain and simple exploiting things and outplaying the killer all the time. The video lasted about 20 minutes. At some point I just feel that the killer should have a surrender option. Especially when we consider the skill-gap in this game and the problematic matchmaking system that allows new player to be matched with experienced players.
I also think there should be a surrender option for survivors. When a 4-man slug is in place - happened to me a lot - I wish I could surrender so I didn't have to lay on the ground for 4 minutes.

@Phasmamain said:
This perk sounds pretty strong imo. I’ll definitely be running it on my Clown with STBFL for some insane chase potential
What are your thoughts on it?
It will be fun to see how viable it will be and how some people mix it with other perks and killer powers. Clown could benefit from this perk a lot, like you said.
-
@NekoGamerX said:
more worry about that flashlight perk the survivors are getting always hated flashlight now I don't know.
You will be getting this perk instead of a current meta perk. It will be a meme perk at best for survivors.

If you don´t see an issue that survivors actively try to ruin the game for everyone else, just because they couldn´t get what they want. Then i´m afraid you could be part of the problem.
People are childish.
There will never be a "fix" for that kind of problem.
-
Just eliminate yourself on hook then.
-
@Sludge said:
Are survivors artificially inflating their escapes by doing gens?
What.
Are they artificially inflating their MMR by playing in SWF compared to Solo? You might make an argument for that.
-
I love map offerings. They make it so I don't have to play bad indoor maps :)
In my solo q games there is no map that is any better for survivor or killer anyway. Might as well enjoy the gameplay while you can.
-
This could work if you also established a value system for perks. Say you have a max 12 point to use on perks in 6 slots total.
The perks are categorized in 3 pools of 1, 2 and 3 points depending on how strong they are.
This way you can still go with 4 strong meta perks = 12 points,
Or you can run 6 less strong perks but get room for synergies and builds
Or a mix of your choice.
Right now, bringing 6 perks would be broken because you could bring 6 meta perks which would be impossible to counter for us solos :(
-
A sailor survivor, Pirate killer and a big ass ship map would be awesome!

Survivor queues on my end are very fast up until evening. I don't play later. Let's be honest, you get 10 min because you're Brexit'ed and you gotta go through customs every time to get a lobby.

This is true.
Which shows in general that SWF beats Killer which beats SoloQ.

That might be your experience. My survivor queues are instant. I'm from Spain, (Spain is in Europe, for now) and we often joke that "I can't even blink and we get a match" when I play with a friend.
From your reply i'm going to guess you believe the following statements to be true:
"Survivors are OP"
"Players leaving in waves because circle of healing"
"Nurse needs a buff / Nurse is perfectly balanced"
"NOED should be basekit"
/introduce any other ridiculously biased statement.
You are good at reading between the lines!
-
I can highly relate to this. If i'm lucky I get to play 5-6 games a day, but most of the times it is 2-3. There is simply not enough hours per day...
It is very frustrating when you just want to play a chill and fun game, but end up with such toxic idiots.
My take is just to TRY to be very casual about this game and not taking it seriously at all. Still has moments that are very frustrating, you can't be without them.
What feels worst is that the bad moments last longer than the good ones. This is basic psychology. I believe I have read that 1 bad needs 7 goods to even out or something. Having that in mind this game is horrible for those that cannot cope with the toxic and absolute sweatheads of a lot of players.
Hope you find your joy in this game again! :)
