I always run it and it seems a lot of the time other players take no notice of it. It's so frustrating when the killer is no where near you and no one attempts a save until you reach second stage.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2855832#Comment_2855832
I don't care if I die in game (unless I need to escape for a challenge) but I also want to actually play some of the game. So yeah, if I get to second stage on hook early on and see no one is even attempting a save I lose the care factor if they live or die either.
In that case you are lost with terrible teammates. I would rather get on with my next match then haha.
What Kindred brings is a greater chance of this not happening.
-
Then you should consider to bring Kindred if this is a big problem for you. Everything that helps coordination in solo q is worth bringing.
-
I'm glad you got the better of Jake and sacrificed them. What an annoying and delusional player..
Better luck the next games, luckily most other players are nice people :)

Indeed! haha

Pig, Artist, Spirit, Bubba, and Nemesis.
Piggy because she looks adorable and she is best girl. Artist and Spirit because theirs look cool. Bubba and Nemesis because they just look super goofy when they walk.
I think the Artist looks like she is running in mud lmao.
I agree about Pig! :)

Nemesis and Ghostface are my favs.
They are really sprinting after survivors haha!

Meh, what I do ingame has no impact on my MMR it seems.
As survivor I die 7/10 games. Yet, I play the sweatiest players there is one game and a completely noobfest the other game.
The queue system and MMR system simply doesn't synergy.

@Tsulan said:
Right now, survivors are the biggest threat for other survivors.
Simply because some people just throw a match, for no reason at all.
So true.
-
I think it’s fine. It does it’s thing and is fun when you actually counter a map offering.
I only use map offerings to make sure I’m not going to RPD, Midwitch or any other indoor map really. Just play for fun and I don’t see that as toxic at all.

First I smile because I think he looks so goofy when he is running around looking for people.
Then I think of @ThiccBudhha for some reason and hoping it’s him.

Welcome to the community. Hope you get to enjoy the game :)
What you are asking for have been repeatedly asked about for years but it is not something the developers will have ready in the foreseeable future.
As for the practice part. Playing games (a lot of them) is the only way to improve. You can also watch tutorials online which helped me a lot in the beginning.

Is this chapter one of the Killer rule book?

Y'all aren't understanding that i'm speaking from a place a solo que person, I DON'T GO NEAR THE BASEMENT.
Let me requote myself
"But when you're in solo que, you're matched with other people that will not pay attention to where they are... I say this from personal experience of other people in my solo que, not because I do it myself."
I get what you are saying and where you are coming from. But, the basement is a key mechanic in DbD. It’s the only thing that is in every single map for a reason.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
If anything, Leatherface should be the only one allowed down there. You are just being insanely biased. It is his birthright.
Bubbba should be blessed with two basements. Think about that for a while. Haha

I will need to one hook at least two survivors in the basement to cleanse my soul from that filth.
probably. I will assume you need one in the top library in RPD as well.
-
No a killer should not have any disadvantages to others.
Pay attention to where the basement is and don’t go down near it.
Looping in shack or main building is good for wasting the killers time but could be risky because you can end up in the basement. As it should be.

It could be, maybe they need to reevaluate why they are playing and if it cannot be found here, perhaps they should do something about it.
I miss your Bubba avatar. Dunno why.

There is usually something that happens 13th each month with the rank reset. People might be desperate to get the ranking up going..

I haven't noticed a significant uptick recently.
The NOED rate has remained consistent at around 18% for me.
I think 18,5% is more correct for me ;)

Yui is from East Asia and are more likely than anyone else to have the inherited genetic mutation that causes alcohol intolerance. Not saying she has it, but it is more likely.
I think I can outdrink most of the survivors. David might be the toughest one to beat tho..
-
Very good. Everyone would love it and welcome it.
But sadly this will not be in the game for "some time".

It is not only RPD, the Hook on Thompsons House also returned. I have not played it yet, but hopefully the Hook on the scaffold on Dead Dawg Saloon did not return as well.
Upstairs-Hooks should never be a thing. I can understand that they added it as a band-aid fix for Boil Over, however, now that they actually nerfed the Perk, they should remove the band-aid fixes. Those Upstairs-Hooks are worse than Basement Hooks, because Killers can actually block them.
Did they fix the hook upstairs on Eyrie of Crows yet? If not that is another one.

Am I a soldier, or am I just poor? I could consider myself a poverty warrior.
Haha - I would certainly give you a medal of honor if I was president.
What struck me the most is how much money I had to pay for the game with all DLC's and stuff. Of course it was a sale the next week..
-
I bought a gaming PC just to be able to play properly. It was so horrible to play on console (PS4).
You guys are soldiers for continuing to play this game!
-
Thanks a lot guys - I have not given up my hope on this mission!

I got mine instantly as the match loaded since a survivor was running No Mither.
If you where playing as Billy on Thompsons House then that might have been me (:
-
I got downed on a blights first rush using the insta down add-on last week. The worst part is I was using Spine chill and knew he was coming. Tried to be smart and climb out of the window from shack where I spawned with a gen, only to climb into him on his last rush lmao.

Fast and Furious:
After quickly exiting from a locker, move at 150% movement speed for 3 seconds. Causes exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds.
Opportunities:
After stunning a killer with a pallet, move at 150% movement speed for 3 seconds. Causes exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds.
Catch Me If You Can:
After stunning a killer with a pallet or locker, for the next three seconds your scratchmarks will appear in the opposite direction to the way you are running. Catch Me If You Can has a cooldown of 100/90/80 seconds.
(I like exhaustion perks if it wasn't obvious).
You basically made smash hit :D
-
Played vs a cheating Billy the other day. He teleported to every survivor and downed us all in about 20 seconds. Then he just stood over us and nodding. Was fun :)
At least I managed to open a chest before dying and thus finishing my “open 12 chests”-challenge.
-
It is good when you are being tunneled. Nothing else.
I also use it when I have the "stun the killer"-challenge.
-
With the Pain Resonance, Dead Mans Switch, Ruin meta you have to power through your gens fast to get it done. It's absolutely need for such a perk right now. Especially in solo q.
4K with 5 or 4 gens remaining happens to me almost every day now.
-
They are very viable vs solo players. To play vs them you have to be coordinated with efficient healing, saving and gen repairing. If not then you have lost - which is most cases in solo queue.

I like this idea, it'd still be niche but it'd certainly be a more interesting perk than it is right now.
Yes, niche indeed but it could be viable to some play styles or builds..
-
How about making it like a healing Ruin?
If you are injured, healed up a bit and then cancel healing then the healing progress will regress when you are in the terror radius.
This comes on top of slower healing of course.
-
Dead by daylight loses players rapidly and therefore are very dependent on newer player joining in and start the grind. It’s important that they also have a good time so they want to invest more and become part of the family.
It’s frustrating for experienced players, but we need newcomers as well!

The offerings that are supposed to make the trap darker should simply create map specific "rubble" tiles around the trap, in order to conceal it on grass less maps.
Agreed.
Darker traps on the new map only make them easier to spot.

Love this!

The devil is entirely in the details. If they just made Borrowed Time base kit with no other changes that would probably be terrible, it would just be giving all the survivors a fifth perk essentially. However, if that change was paired with something to rebalance the game back towards the killers, like slowing the gens down a bit, that would be ok. I'm totally fine as a killer main if Borrowed Time is base kit so long as the overall game balance is kept relatively intact because of some other change that comes with it.
I feel this is a good thing to bring BT as base kit. It softly removes the chances of being farmed off the hook by your solo q teammates. But it should come with some tweaks like remove the possibility to bodyblocking the killer.
I also think they should compensate the killer with this - as this literally gives survivors a fifth perk. I would personally make kicking a gen automatic somewhere between 2,5-5% regression and remove the possibility to gen tap to stop regression.

Me and my friend got an AFK Doctor last night. We decided to not let him get the lower mmr so we died by the entity after EGC. He raged so hard and called us morons. LMAO.

I simply dont give survs a chance to teabag. If you're doing it at a pallet Im just going to tunnel you out of the game. And if survs have powered the gates I simply open one and roll out to a different part of the map...100 percent of survs wait and try to goad me into coming back, but they eventually figure it out and leave anyways...
Good for you, you are managing just good then.
I see a lot of others that don't do that..

I've had a lot of time in the game; my trapper isnt very levelled cause I've focused my BP into getting perks for my mains. The issue was I was stuck in a massive map with distanced gens and they kept snapping my traps no matter where I hid them.
OK my bad, just saw you are level 25 and devotion 1 so I an assumption.
-
I can see you haven't that much time in this game yet. It will be better when you learn the maps and know how to control your desired areas better as the trapper. Trapper is difficult.
Better luck in the next one :)

I wouldn’t call twins balanced in their current form
I have never had an easy game vs Twins. If you play them good and have good time management they can be one of the best killers. Especially for me since I mostly play solo. They are horrible to face in solo, mostly they get a 4K. They got a big knock by CoH tho..
-
Good design, balanced and fun to vs: Blight, Oni, Huntress, Billy, Spirit, Pyramid Head, Nemesis, Demogorgon, Freddy, Doctor, Bubba, Nurse.
Balanced but boring: Plague, Hag, Twins, Artist, Pinhead.
The rest should get a little tweak and or buff to be more more balanced.
Blight tops them all. Super design, fun, strong, high skill ceiling.
-
Yet another killer main talking about survivors as a whole thinking every survivor have the same opinions.
There will always be some people that are not satisfied with new updates.
