No it hasn't been found yet. The Devs said we're never going to find it. Additionally, we still have yet to solve the riddle on Dead Dawg Saloon in order to release the Golden Toolbox from the Watertower.

After testing this, I don't think flashlights are bugged - seems to be more of an issue with WGLF. I got stacks when I blinded the killer but the killer was in the animation phase so shouldn't drop the survivor anyway, I also did early blinds which wouldn't drop the survivor and again got WGLF stacks - afaik you should only get a stack when you successfully blind the killer AND save the survivor at the same time of which the timing is a lot more precise.
I'm going to have to start ripping clips from my vods because there have been multiple occasions since the last flashlight patch that i've gotten successful flashlight saves and it had no effect on the killer. Including blinds that happened well after the killer had the survivor up on their shoulder.

I mean.. I usually have instant queues as survivor and killer so no; I like it the way it is.
-
I guess I play hag a bit different.. Rusty Shacks/Mint Rag and I only use 1/2 traps playing for the long game. You get a guaranteed 3 gen no matter the distance of the gens.
Make Your Choice/Dragons Grip/Surveillance/Pop

This is what happens when you mistime it. Either too early, and they don't drop, or too late and they're already mid hook prompt.
Nah this is an actual issue.. I've had this happen to me countless of times since the update/patch/hotfix. You can time it perfectly and they just keep on walking right through it. I've had it happen while the pickup animation was completely over and the Killer was walking. Got the notification for the blind being successful but they didn't drop the survivor.

I mean they are much easier to spot, but... I've seen how there's a teddybear on the new autohaven and ormond maps), some decently well hidden.
No ones found the Toolbox on Midwich yet and no ones figured out how to release the toolbox from the Watertower on Dead Dawg.

Because there's no reason to.. I have a little over 3,000 hours in DBD and have only gone against a Tombstone Myers and or Infinite Tier 3 a hand full of times. It's extremely rare to go against a Myers in general, let alone a Tombstone Myers.
-
Gen Rush doesn't exist? Go up against a coordinated SWF that never double up on gens and are even semi decent at looping. I'm a Rank 1 Survivor and Killer and when I go up against these groups, I get steam rolled without Gen Slowing perks. 9/10 times the only reason you beat these groups is because of a mistake on their end. (Aka they get too cocky)

I just find it strange that in a game where the killer is supposed to be a powerful dangerous Force meant to be avoided, my fellow survivors want to complain about the danger. Iridescent add-ons, instant down attacks, moris, undying and ruined hex combo, etc. It's four survivors versus a monster, not four survivors versus their equivalent. Every survivor should expect the killer to decimate them without any Mercy and using every shortcut available. I firmly believe that if a killer seems too strong it's only because your survivor skills are too weak. The opposition is supposed to be oppressive otherwise it's not an obstacle to overcome. I just think we should stop with the cuddle requests to the devs and let them expand the danger not pull it back.
So you're trying to tell me the following aren't OP:
Iri Head Huntress
Double Iri Docs
Spirit as a whole
Mint Rag/Rusty Shackle Hag
Face Camping Bubba
Freddy's impossible to determine lunge
1st hook mori's were also severely overpowered as they enabled a killer to take out a survivor in the first 30-60 seconds of a match.
-
Personally i run Ruin/Undying/Surveillance/Sloppy.. Surveillance gives him much more information and you don't have to wait for a gen to be at 75% just to know someones working on it. You fake teleport to far gens and wait to see if it turns white (a survivor getting off of it thinking you're coming).

No but this specific combo has ZERO counterplay.
Sure it does.. Don't let them go down under a pallet.. or when you down them, face the pallet and pick them up immediately.

@Healthore77992 said:
Killers were and are still dealing with survivor BS perks with no counter for YEARS, now when killers finally get strong combo, which let's not forget can be destroyed in FIRST MINUTE OF THR GAME, let's also not forget that killer must apply pressure in order it to work, survivors are crying like there is no tommorow, pathetic really..
What survivor perks have no counter? DS+Unbreakable was solely because of killers tunneling and slugging..

@Yords said:
Hi @Almo , I hope I don't come off as rude or snarky, and forgive me for assuming you would also reply to this post in the first place since I saw someone else put your name in their title and got a reply. But I am sure that many people, including myself, would like to know why DS hasn't changed. It is a perk that is extremely powerful and can even be abused if a survivor jumps in a locker or uses it with unbreakable.
There is also the fact that it can be used if the killer has hooked another survivor. Pop goes the weasel was nerfed down to 45 seconds, so how come decisive strike wasn't since it lasts a really long time? It seems that DS has a far greater impact than PGTW since it can stack on four different people.
Just the fear of it alone makes killers in most matches slug the recently hooked survivor even if no one has DS which is bad for the killer because this situation is still favorable to the survivors since you don't get a hook state out of them.
You can also hook another survivor and still be hit by DS. This isn't tunneling, but a survivor can still get value out of DS even when not being tunneled. While it is unlikely, it can still happen.
So if you would be so kind as to answer our question, "why hasn't decisive strike nerfed yet?" that would be greatly appreciated by a huge part of the community.
Thank you very much for your time.
How many times are you guys going to beg for a nerf? It's literally been nerfed over and over and over again.

It's not the game, its Steam. If you play Ark, you know it's Steam's fault and the way it handles updates when your game is not installed on your C drive.
Nah it's DBD.. Literally every time I update DBD, I launch it and get the same issues about my files being corrupted and having to validate them. It's only with DBD

Personally, I say give them the hatch.. BUT, if the Killer closes the hatch then the survivor has to finish the remaining generators.

@bubbabrotha said:
I mean, yeah, they needed a nerf. But they don't have any purpose now. They are literally detrimental your scoring, without any benefit. They just clutter up the blood web.
I think there could be a better solution to this.
How are they detrimental to your scoring? If anything, they're less detrimental. If you mori someone on last hook, you're getting the same amount of points as hooking that survivor 3 times. With the old mori, you lost an entire hook states worth of points.
-
@Rebel_Raven said:
Who has the time for that?
The survivors won't let it happen more often than not. Always rushing to get out.
I would enjoy a longer match as killer, and survivor.
As a killer, I need time to do stuff, and get points.
As survivor I usually get killed quick and would like more time to get points.
Most survivors do that because if a killer randomly downs 3 of 4 survivors and hooks them right off the bat, chances are they wont let the survivors reset and will end the match right then and there.
At least for me, if im playing killer and down 3/4 survivors, i'll walk away and let the straggler save everyone just to prolong the match.
-
I've been playing non stop since the patch went out and I've only had about 3 matches with keys.. and none where the survivor that brought them actually got to use them.
-
Here's the main issue.. Dead Hard use to give you the Mettle of Man effect when you were hit during the animation. At some point this was removed so you're no longer invincible during the dash.

They've been made mecahnically useless though. They are a cosmetic item now for the most part. And while keys might take longer, numerous good suggestions have been made for them. Animations do take time, but they managed to put out new generator animations before keys. And Keys have been talked about as long as Mori's. Mori's have been nerfed twice, keys have been untouched. When Mori's where first nerfed, keys where promised to be changed. This was 3 years ago and we still have nothing.
The original Mori was even worse though.. it allowed you to mori anyone without them even having to be hooked. They were still 1000x stronger than keys ever were. Mori's arent mechanically useless and can come in clutch at end game when you need to secure that kill. They still bypass DS, Flashlight saves, Pallet saves, Power Struggle, Sabotaging and save you the time of having to find a hook.

@seki23 said:
when will you learn... these kind of tomes forcing the killer to play terribly bad the entire game to get it, why is this a thing? also requires a massive amount of RNG it did happen before with 1 or 2 hooks and still was very hard but 4? what is this?.
No it doesnt? Slug the last survivor, close the hatch and then hook them. It counts as an end game hook.

@Gamergirl69OWO said:
For one Im very happy about the Mori nerf as I thought it was greatly needed because of how unfun it was, BUT why didnt they nerf keys as well? They vaguely told us they will at the same time as moris but decided to not do it. Why? Keys are just as if not more BS then Moris yet they get to stay? Now Survs are more OP as ever with basically nothing a killer can do to stop a 4 man key group unless they are lucky enough to be playing their main AND have Franklin's. This really goes to show the Devs incompetence when it comes to balance and their bias towards survs.
So a few things.. Mori's are an offering that have no other details to worry about. Keys are an item, they have many factors that come into play such as add-ons, perks, hatchs, maps, and hatch offerings. They take a lot longer to "fix" because of how complex they are.
And lets face it.. At the end of the day, Mori's are a hell of a lot stronger than keys and should be a priority over them. Keys are used when roughly 80%-100% of the survivors objective is done. Where as mori's were useable when only 33.3% of a killers objective were done. So the nerf makes it so killers need to have 66.6% of their objective done still putting them way ahead of the amount of work a survivor has to do to use their key.
Personally, I've never needed a Mori to win against keys; yet Survivors 9/10 times would need a key to beat a killer that first hook Mori's people.
-
I would love this.. it sucks that crossplay was suppose to bring the community closer together but the lack of communication put an even greater divide between the two sides.

Ok so I'm a red rank survivor on console (Xbox One) and I'm used to facing a variety of different killers (not same boring killers over and over again) who are very skilled (mind games, map pressure, game sense, etc) and for the most part super enjoyable and never stale.
Now along comes crossplay where we console players get to face off against PC players and oh... my... god...
Here's how a game against a PC player goes;
Step 1: Freddy, Legion, Clown... That's it. Easy to play killers with low skill ceiling.
Step 2: Cancer builds (super slow builds which prolong the game in such a boring way I'm ready to leave halfway through)
Step 3: Proxy camp. The killer's heartbeat will literally never leave if you're anywhere near the hook.
Step 4: Tunnel. These killers I mean OMG 😂 Borrowed Time? Decisive Strike? PC killers just don't give a #########, they'll hit the unhooked survivor with BT, eat a DS, and still tunnel the survivor down.
Full disclosure if I'm in a team of survivors who know what they're doing it's easy to just finish the gens and get out. But man it's always sad for that ONE line survivor who just doesn't get to have fun.
If you're a PC gamer who mains killer... Patrol gens, explore the map, learn how to loop, and I promise you'll have much more fun than focusing on one survivor per game.
How do you know they're PC players?.. Because we've been getting the exact same style of play from console killers, only they bring ebony mori's every single match.

OK, what is wrong with that?

We saw the VOD before you deleted it, and we saw the endgame chat, and he didn't. You false reported him.
You're a whiny Streamer who gets mad when he gets Mori'ed after going down for making a bad play.
But yeah, you believe what you want. Some of us saw the VOD.
Yep. :) You'll do anything to support the toxic gameplay of killer mains, so i'm not really worried about your opinion.

They are okay plays, if it happened that way. This is the player/streamer that came here complaining about a Mori two days ago, but then someone posted his video from Twitch to show that it was actually his bad plays that put him down, and then he used profanity against the Killer in end-game chat and then false reported the killer for trash talk and homophobic slurs when the killer did no such thing.
All because he was mad.
So, take his descriptions with a grain of salt.
I mean I have the VOD and he did; so I stand by my report but you do you.
And okay play? It's wasting everyone's time.. making a survivor crawl all the way from the basement to an exit gate just to kill them anyway? even if they had DS, they wouldn't make it out of the basement alive.

2 gens are left and there are 2 survivors left in the match.
Killer is chasing surv 1, surv 1 has a key.
Surv 1 finds hatch and leaves.
Killer closes hatch to prevent Surv 2 from escaping.
Gens are all powered and egc starts.
Why on christs earth does power the gens? Yet another reason to remove Keys (and moris cause screw them too.)
Because there is only 1 survivor left and you closed the hatch?.. The EGC would ALWAYS power in this scenario.

It essentially ruined pc solo queue red rank survivor, but okay. Yes, a true god send.
I love not being able to play survivor without suffering.
Killer however has been awesome and stress-free. Easy 4ks, BP farming, insta-queue, and the best part is that you don't have to rely on teammates to hit skill checks or cleanse totems... or do gens... or loop the killer... or anything at all!
Thank you.. Red Rank solo queue is an absolute nightmare since crossplay got released.

What benefit for the survivor would there be if they could break the wall? Also it has a lengthy cooldown. It would be wasted to use it for breakable walls.
To buff it i would say give it the ability to see the auras of dropped unbroken pallets.
There are a few..
You could open up the dead end room on Dead Dawg Saloon.
You could open up the ramp in the bathroom leading to the 2nd floor on Midwich.
Didn't play the PTB yet but im sure there are more zones in there as well.

I was just thinking about those new perks and in particular Hex: Undying and the lesser used Hexes. Normally I wouldn’t run Lullaby, but mixed with Undying, it might be more viable.
My question to the survivor side of the community is, does Lullaby ever hinder you? An if so, how many tokens before you feel any pressure. Does only 5 tokens (no sound) get you?
I play as a red rank killer and I’m afraid this might be one of those perks that the average red rank survivor might not even acknowledge because they are just skilled enough to play regardless.
Only time it really hindered me was against an impossible skill check doctor with 5 stacks.

99ing the gates is just survivors exploiting their way around the EGC, so they dont feel pressured to go for saves. So essentially, in this case the EGC does nothing.
Exit gates should passively regress.
And no, survivors are not the only ones who exploit, but since more people play survivor than killer, more survivors tend to exploit since the playerbase is larger.
Nah the exit gates should just open automatically. This way you don't have to worry about them being 99%.

Most newer computer monitors actually have crosshairs built into the display that can be toggled on and off. No real way for BHVR to track it.

Forever Freddy
Ruin or Pop/Surveillance/Thana/Sloppy
Paint Brush/Swing Chains

Only time i'll get annoyed with Stealth survivors is when you have the players who when they're on last hook.. suddenly just play "hide in a corner" stealth and refuse to help. Prime example, I had a map on The Game and we were stuck in a 3 Gen that we could have won. I ran the killer, circling 3 gens and ended up getting 2 of them to 30% while juking the killer. After about 4-5 minutes, the killer finally got me and when I was hooked I see not one, but two players urban evasioning around the map not helping at all.

Dying Light deactivates when the obsession is dead, although it can re-activate if a new one is created.
The idea behind this perk is to build stacks from hooking non-obsessions so when you do hook the obsession the slow debuff is stronger. It works multiple times throughout the match.
That being said, it is kinda meh. Better than the current one but only because of the healing speed increase imo. Without that Dying Light would be a pretty good slowdown perk.
Current dying light can always remain active up to 11 stacks if you play your cards right even without Nemesis. Just slug the obsession and you're good to go.

Theres no such thing as a 10 minute queue on crossplay right now, its about 30 secs at most. I had a bill running to different areas of the map letting legion hit him with feral to find where i was so I could get hooked and he got the hatch. Its blatant cheating, not just giving my position away.
Uhh what? Excuse me.. but I have 10-15 minute queue times as a survivor every single day since crossplay. I'd love to know where you're getting 30 second queue times as a survivor.
