Yeah, kinda feels like everyone is just making stuff up about what's going on behind the scenes. So having been in the software industry for, oh, I don't know, 30 years, I'll make up my version.
Sure, they're working on the noisiest issues and bugs but they don't have those done. Some people on the dev staff are working on other items because everyone can't all work on the same issue. So they put out what they can or what is done and keep working on the main priority issues that didn't make it into this one. The other option, I would guess, would be to release nothing. They are continuing to work on the biggest issues, then using staff to work on other issues by priority all the time and releasing what they can that's made it past process.
Why is this so hard for the average gamer to understand? I think at some point, we're verging on conspiracy theory in assuming that the people who work on a piece of software wouldn't absolutely love to fix whatever thing users are massively complaining about in any given week.
I think it would have been best to not release anything because the stuff they did release was rubbish. It only made people sigh when they saw it. They should've fixed one of the major bugs with the patch within this update to at least show that things are going well.
I get it their are different people working on different things that's fine, but when your game always has a game breaking bug every single update it rubs people the wrong way and shows that your experience isnt the greatest.

@Mooks said:
they said the first hotfix after a major update is mainly to address bugs that got reported and therefor earlier worked on from PTB feedback that couldn’t get fixed for the initial update.
I'm sorry, but when the game is nearly unplayable and has been for over a week the primary focus should be to fix that issue not a cosmetic glitch that does nothing. They didnt fix Clown his bottles still do nothing to survivors, Nemis tentacle still freezes the game. Instead of fixing meaningless bugs they should fix the major ones that are plaguing the game at the moment.
-
Sadly I dont think they change her hitbox because a lot of devs and streamers main her which definitely contributes to something. Just look at the add on pass. She is the only killer to have an exhaustion addon now, when they got rid of everyone elses.

I really love playing nemesis but with the lag it's really painful, I can't wait Tuesday for the bug fix update to be made. Every time I use his power its lagging
Sadly the game will still lag and the frames will drop even after. Their only fixing the patch issues not the whole games issues with lag and frames.

Anyway, just because it happens to both sides doesn't mean that it doesn't give the other side an advantage. I get the freezes throughout the whole match but the survivors I chase seem to be basically unaffected.
The thing is you'll never know if it has affected the other side. It's like when someone gets exhausted on the ground after dead hard. The killer doesnt know he's exhausted only the survivor does.
-
If the game was optimized it wouldn't be a problem, but they still havent fixed the lag and frame drops. To be honest I dont know why ppl are playing the game in this unplayable state unless you have a really good pc because any action freezes the game.

I play on xbox, and it happens but I heard if you dont have a good pc it can affect the game

These freezes really do take away from the experience. I decided to just do my dailies and get off. Killer is stressful enough, and now the freezes give the survivors another second chance. The only thing to soften my rage was that I was somehow getting black pips off of 3 people escaping. It's been almost a week since this horrible bug-filled update came out, and we're still dealing with the consequences. Any other game studio would have had this fixed within a day, if they ever allowed it to go to live in the first place. DBD is totally my game, too. Play it almost every day. But this is too much. I've got to take a break.
The game freezes way more playing survivor it doesnt give them second chances. Literally running freezes the game as survivor it bad.

Let’s say you start a match, which killer do you dread seeing the most? It can be because they’re hard to face or just obnoxious. For me it’s doctor, bubba, spirit, and wraith. Each of these are pretty obnoxious. Ghost face is also less than fun due to not being able to break him out of stalk so often. Let me know which killer you dread seeing. :)
It has to be hag or Spirit for me. Hag becuz if I get hooked I know I'm dead and can do nothing about it and Spirit for very obvious reasons
-
Idk, GF has a better stealth than Wraith because he can hit you anytime he wants, and can potentially get a one shot, but Wraith is quicker than ghostface so he can pressure more, and he has a little chase potential with his lunge.
I think it just come down to preference
-
It's not that bad, it actually looks pretty spot on to the Re 2 game

With Chris shapeshifting between every game, I'd say RE1 Chris was the right call, as it's his most iconic / consistent appearance. Though personally, I'm partial to ultra roided-out, boulder punching Chad Chris (aka RE5 Chris).
The Chris in game is a mix Chris's from the series. He has the outfit from one, but he has facial hair and looks more buff than the RE1 Chris.

Ah I see what you mean, but I still don't think that's enough to justify a 2 hit power instead.
Literally almost every other killer has a 2 hit power, PH who has the same attack basically has a 2 hit power. DS has a 2 hit power, Huntress has a 2 hit power. The only range killer that doesnt is Trickster. I believe he should have a 2 hit power because of how much distance a survivor can make off of 3 hits. They already make loads of distance when you hit them once. Also survivor will not respect it the first time because it does nothing but give you a sprint burst. Just my opinion though.

I don't think he looks much buffer than RE1. He's definitely not as buff as he is in RE5 and even if he was, he's wearing the exact same outfit as he did in RE1 which is my point. Why does Chris get an RE1 outfit but there isn't one for Jill?
Also this Chris has Facial Hair which RE1 Chris didnt have. Now to answer your question about RE1 Jill it's simple. They gave her the outfits for RE3 first becuz that's what her design is based off, and will give her the classic one later probably in a couple months.

No it's Resident Evil 1 Chris. The one on the top is from Resident Evil 5, his outfit in DbD is from RE1.
It's not RE1 Chris, you can tell becuz Chris from RE1 is no were near that buff, and didnt get that buff until he needed to fight Wesker which was Re5, I could be wrong and maybe its Chris from a different RE game, but not from RE1

Why is there no classic skin of Jill from RE1? There's only the skin from the original RE3. I don't think this could have been very hard to make especially if they did Chris from RE1...
That's not chris from RE1 that's why. Its RE5 Chris

But on a more serious note I think her eyes are giving her a weird look, they are prettymuch ice blue otherwise I find her likeness to be pretty spot on in comparison to Jill who looks like she has a child's face with a really small jaw and large forehead/eyes. Also Claire has the underbite in RE2 although it seems to be much more pronounced in DBD.
It's her nose. They gave her a peach nose that is very noticable

Im very interested what you all say!
Nemesis on Nemesis is the best build. The other 3 you choose.

I know people want to say Haddnofun, but I believe the Game is the worst map. You will never lose as survivor on that map if your good. Every pallet besides 2 are God Pallets, and have no feedback. It's boring on both sides and is in desperate need of a change.

Devour and bbq
-
She's the only killer I've never lost with. I believe I'm on 84 wins (4k or 3k with hatch). People underestimate her stealth, you run M&A and whispers and you should always get a hit. Trick is to never use your ambush and just stand up to attack. Her traps slow the game even if they get it off first try becuz that person or people are not on the gen when your chasing someone else becuz of the trap.
-
I have two both myers. One brought both mirrors addons, and the other brought Infinite tier 3 with scratch mirror

Bond is already good without it. It's a waste of a perk slot to have open handed IMO.

It shuts loops and takes away any ability to play around them. No skill needed, just hop over a window. Even a shack pallet goes down after a while with the perk being active. It performs too well in a 1vs1 chase, you need to burn through pallets to avoid going on the ground.
Bamboozle needs to be changed immediately, it ruins any sort of ability to prolong chases without dropping every single pallet you see!
Sluzzy is way better stop copying, and find something else to do

Playing 60 fps it's not an advantage, it's a normal thing in 2021.
It is an advantage when you consider console feels like your playing on 15 fps. Most interactions freeze the game on console (sloppy, using your ability, etc). Also stretch res on PC is an advantage, 3rd party software that turns brightness up is an advantage. I could go on and on about the advantages a PC player has over console.

It all over becuz it was testing the skill level of people before they told us it was active. So bad killers who were carried by bad solo q teams are high mmr right now

Becuz you'll never go against a comp practicing becuz you wont be that high in mmr

The community calls them toxic though. Hmmm

If you die after that many second chances that's just sad...
Anyways, they are a part of the game, so not unsportsmanlike conduct. Same for survivors with flashlight saves, doing gens quickly, and bodyblocking. Nothing that isn't against the rules is unsportsmanlike conduct.
Just a question here then. Why is T Bagging and Flashlight clicking unsportsmanlike and toxic then. They're apart of the game too, but the community considers them toxic, when that could be a strategy to get into the killers head and make them mad, so they play bad.

Just play stealth killers while the new map has a higher chance to appear, you might start liking it then.
The map is too big for every stealth killer not named Wraith even he might be to slow without a windstorm addon. If the survivors are smart they'll have a gen done before you find one survivor.

Counterplay to IW, following scratch marks, having eyes and seeing the person, any open loop/area on the map, Stridor if you want to count perks as counter

It's not a perk. I play her on occasion and people always try to mind game. Don't. If she is standing still on the other side of a pallet run away to the next loop. Learn to double back on scratch marks as well. If you are protecting someone just run across their scratch marks. Also if she is standing still, drop pallets early.
Ok I must intervene here. Never and I mean never double back on scratch marks. You are running back at her and are going to get downed to anyone that has headphones.

I did it 4 times in under 3 minutes but sure i never did hit and run. It's like you think you knew what hit and run was, i told you you didnt, you went to go see what it means and came back to still say i still didn't do it when i did it in the first 30 seconds
Like I said you didnt do it that much never said you didnt do it read the post again. You did it 4 times and basically didnt do it after because you realized the survivors were bad and that you could down them quickly. Like I said I do know what it is and you barely did it after the 2 minute mark.

While I do agree against good survivors Wraith has a hard time, he is in no way high D tier.
Wraith has solid map pressure and anti loop out of cloak, Wraith is an absolute menace atm
His anti loop is countered by not being greedy, and dropping the pallet. Never give Wraith control over the pallet and he will suffer big time because he has to uncloak to get you which means he's wasting time if you camp the pallet and wait until he uncloak or fakes it to break.
If he chases you while he is uncloaked then he's just a normal 115 ms killer and playing Wraith wrong. Wraiths anti loop comes from going for a 5050 and depending on the survivor to be greedy. You can deny to 5050 by not being greedy and dropping the pallet.
He only has Map pressure, but again he cannot be everywhere at once and if the survivors are split he is still screwed. Like I said against mediocre survivors he's A tier, but against good ones he's high D tier.

I don't think you understand what it means to hit and run. It wasn't that the survivors were bad it's that im just better then them. You placed him D tier and i have no idea how you even think that tbh it might be because you're not good with him.
Yes I do, hit and run, you hit a survivor if they can get to a strong loop you leave them to find the next person which you did not. You chased them until they went down.
Yes I would agree you are better than them because they weren't good. None of them ever ran shack correctly and ran mindlessly most of the time and used DH. Like I said they were less than mediocre.
-
@SilentHillOnDvD said:
No addons no perks against decent survivors and got a 4k. Wraith is not trash it's just people don't know how to play him which is by hit and running. Top 5 IMO
Ok first off, these survivors are less than mediocre not a single one knew how to loop properly, and ran blindly whilst using DH.
Second you basically never Hit and Ran you ways chased a person and downed them within 10 tp 15 seconds because their not even remotely good at running tiles.
3rd hit and run would never work on a good team because it would take a while to get your first down and gens will fly because when you leave they'll instantly look for a gen.
Wraith is good against less than mediocre to mediocre players because they dont understand how to counter him (Look for his questionable that he's coming like sound and shimmer, and not greeding a pallet when he's uncloaking.
Wraith is high D tier against good players and A tier against bad players.

@MongolPSR said:
Your argument is that if the survivors play right he can't do anything.
*deep breath*
THATS EVERY KILLER IN THE GAME EXCEPT NURSE OR SPIRIT!
You're complaining about a singular add on that doesn't help in chase whatsoever. Youre ignoring that he has even better add-on combos that have been shown off by other streamers. You're ignoring that eventhough wraith is no longer add-on dependent he has add on combos that your not complaining about that makes his 1v1 just as good as his 1v4.
You literally said that its easy to make him useless if you pre drop pallets. Guess what if you faced me I'd make you wish you didn't because my preferred build wants you to pre drop pallets. So in my build you either drop the pallet and get hit for it or you don't and get hit for it. You could argue that I won't always have those addons but that's also false. I only need a yellow and a brown. Both of which I have hundreds of.
It's not that wraiths op it's that wraiths now allowed to have WAY more builds then before because his speed is no longer an issue. People don't know how to verse him now because there's not just one way to play wraith anymore. Every single one of his addons can be used in a build that makes him play differently.
People think he's bad all of a sudden just because a single streamer says he's top teir. Where was this consensus when he got windstorm basekit? If I remember correctly the forums and every single streamer agreed that it solidly pushed wraith from the bottom of the rung to being decently high in the pack. In fact the forums had several threads made asking for the buff to be reverted because he went from awful to being "op"
You say that I complain about the addon which I didnt. I brought up the addon and what it does, and yes it does have an affect in chase. Rock tiles, shack, TL walls are completely different when using the wallhack addon becuz you can see what move to survivor will make.
Again nothing against the streamer in question, but when you constantly preach to fans that you rate killers off top percent you need to stick to it.
Facing bad survivors and saying Wraith underrated when the survivors are clueless to his cues, and dont loop that well.
Wraiths addons are fun and do mix things up, but only make him that slight bit better. The one your talking about Shadow dance, and Serpent are countered by using window vaults, and require you to use Enduring/SF, Brutal which leads to one slowdown perk which isnt a good choice. He might have speed, but he cant be everywhere at once, and stop everyone from doing gens
Wraith is top of D tier at best for me. I typically never struggle even against a good Wraith because I know the counters to him. Again its subjective you can rate him higher, but for me he isnt good.
-
@MongolPSR said:
I'm tired of hearing how wraiths bad simply because a certain streamer likes him. It's sad 😥. Also super petty.
I mentioned reasons on why Wraiths bad, and that facing less then mediocre players, and using an addon that gives you info that gets rid of 5050 plays and makes it a 9010.
I have nothing against him, but for a man who judges killers on top percent, but uses players who are not good to make an example for Wraith underrated is pretty dumb.
-
@Kharbarg said:
I wonder what will happen when Wraith main killers realize that "All Seeing" - Spirit is better than "All Seeing" - Blood. Thanks to the base kit buff speed "All Seeing" - Spirit replaces efficiently BBQ + Discordance + Tinkerer + other gens advance progresion perks leaving the four slots perks to use slow down gens perks or insta down perks. I can't image the masive crying when that add on becomes meta.
It can also allow spirit fury/enduring combo which makes wraith even better at pallet plays.
