They are way to expensive. I paid 40 dollars plus all dlcs for the game, so I dont want to pay 10 to 15 dollars on skins. I buy the unique ones like elf dwight and beast oni, but that's it. I believe they should be $2.50 to $5 on normal, and maybe $10 for legendaries.

What is it,
I understand some basics like double backing on scratch marks and stuff like that. More so what is it when a Spirit is running strider. I have been trying to think of something but cant for the life of me. The main reason I ask this is with all of the nerf Spirit threads you have people saying she doesn't need one and says she has plenty of counter play. However they don't list anything or just so "go watch X content creator they know how".
Am I just completely braindead on this?
Thanks
Never double back on scratch marks you are running back into her. Also you'll be getting a message for using the term b dead they did it to me already

He isn't the strongest, he is just the easiest Killer to play with very high pay off. Light burn is not a good argument since Survivors don't know what they face till they face it, so there is no way to make the counter pick of a flashlight. Also most Wraiths aren't going to uncloak in your face for the hit and run tactic for you to burn him anyways.
I'm not even sure why his wall hacks is considered to be super strong, I haven't needed them since his stealth paired with one of the bell clappers means you get free hits on gens easy enough.
Flashlights are brought in almost all games it is the second most common item in the game beside a med kit. It might always be brought in, but it is still a counter.
Getting wallhacks is an huge advantage in chase. Let's say your at a rock loop on Macmillan, the survivor gets the pallet and you now use the bell around the rock the get a hit. The survivor runs away from the loop, and guess what, you get that knowledge with that addon, so you stop uncloaking, and follow.Without the addon you guess and make a 5050 read. That addon is so strong in many situations at loops.

I would sympathize but from my experience playing trickster and twins (funnily enough) for the sole purpose of getting better at them (not hardcore tunneling and camping just spam using their power to get the mechanics down) has made me bitter.
I've played so damn nice on killers that I am CLEARLY struggling with and trying to get better with, but I can't get better since each match lasts 5 god damn minutes. I need to camp and tunnel and run crutch perks because I am ass with these killers. I physically cannot apply pressure when I'm still trying to figure out how to use their power and I cannot learn how to use their power when the matches only last a few minutes.
The you should run slowdown perks. Ignore the comments calling you a trash killer it only feeds into you not wanting to learn. Resorting to camping and tunneling is a bad idea even if the game is 5 minutes.
In those 5 minutes you can still do things to learn how to killer plays. Also kyf exist so you could always go practice with friends there.
-
From a Top percent player. The perk is useless, I dont want the killer to lose me because I can waste his time longer by looping him.
LB is for bad players who cant loop and need a way of escape. Also the perk gets countered by having eyeballs, and really is only good on coldwind.

As we know hatch standoffs were changed some time ago so that the killer can close the hatch, but it then that powers the doors. We really need some type of new change when it comes down to the last two survivors.
Needing to slug a survivor to make sure you can actually get the 4k takes so long. Down a survivor go around looking for the lone survivor hiding somewhere find out they picked up the downed survivor, down them again, do the search again, and again all the way until someone bleeds out or you get the 4th survivor.
This is extremely boring for the slugged survivor and boring for the killer when we could be in a 2nd or even 3rd game by the time you find the 4th survivor. It's not fair for the killer to just give the 4th survivor the hatch either and unless you know exactly where the hatch and doors are killing the 3rd survivor is too risky.
Thoughts on what should change about the current meta of needing to slug a survivor to guarantee a 4k?
Long time lurker this is my first created post :D
Just dont slug for the 4th, that simple. You dont need to do it because you most likely pipped at that point anyways. Also why waste your time by taking the game hostage essentially. Just hook the third and take the 5050 on hatch.

I'm not going to hard-defend Ruin/Pop, I just want to see arguments for Ruin/Undying (and Ruin/Pop probably), and have a discussion.
Here is the simple answer. Neither one is better than the other and both have up and downsides, it comes down to preference.
Ruin/Undying is good because you have to find to two totems to take ruin down which is by far the best gen regression perk in game. Also you dont have to waste time kicking a gen and can get to a chase fast. Totems also are somewhat becoming harder to find
Whilst Ruin/pop you only have one totem to find and then you rely on a fail safe pop. Pop forces you to kick a gen and waste your time which is precious to a killer.
At the end of the day it comes down to what you feel will help you and your playstyle the best.

It looks that way to you because you're new here. The reason I didn't post full explanations is because I've already wrote paragraphs on it in here ad nauseum. There has been a post like this on the forums almost every week for the past few years.
I'm not new I've been on this forum for over a year, just dont talk to you that much. I would understand writing the same thing over and over, but saying people are bad because they cant find the 1 in a million counterplay that she has. I've gone over all scenarios and cant figure it out.
-
@Blueberry said:
Obviously nothing is going to change your mind but I disagree completely.
She has lots of counter play. Most survivors are just bad and don't understand how to play against a Spirit and instead just make up excuses. Spirit actually asks more skill of the survivors than most killers. She's one of the funnest killers to face as survivor for me. Much higher level mind games going on here than against most other killers.
If she has such little counter play why do I not have the same problems facing Spirit as you? Are all the rank 1 Spirits I've faced in over 7,000 hours just coincidentally bad? Unlikely.
You say she has counterplay, but then doesnt explain any examples and goes on to say your just a bad survivor, and I am a amazing one because I dont struggle against her.
-
I think some people overrate him ahem tru3, he is easily countered by most loops and aware survivors. Once you know its Wraith you should always set yourself at a safe position to not get surprised by him.
Hit and run also isnt that great because it can take time to get the first down against a decent team, and gens will still fly.
His lunge isnt the best thing either since again most loops negate it by just camping the pallet.
Overall I agree with this New Wraith is still Wraith

You don't HAVE to run the same perks but META means 'Most Effective Tactics Available'. There will always be a meta; it's human nature to do the best tactic possible.
Yes I know, what I said to him was that there's more then just 5 meta perks, but people only think of 5 because of streamers and other people. There are so many effective perks in the game that are just as good as dh bt ub and ds. I listed some in another chat above.

And, what? Killers should have tactics and tools removed because Survivors don't want to change perks? Or don't want to use perks that counter said tactics & tools? Or don't want to need perks that counter said tactics & tools?
I've heard arguments arguing for all 3, at this point.
I'm saying that you shouldnt have to run the same perks all the time and that there is variety, but when talking to that guy I was talking about how people run the same perks because they think there's no other good ones beside ds bt ub dh.

Iron Will is meta though...
People can play different perks, but they don´t seem to want to.
Because they think that there only 5 good ones because that's what their told by streams and other players. They dont test things out for themselves, and rely on others like streamers which IMO is a bad thing to do.

Problem is, the 5 survivor meta perks haven´t changed in over 4 years. DS and BT are part of them. All this loooong before camping became a problem like now. Why is camping suddenly a problem? Just look at the gen speeds. A killer who loses 3 gens in a single chase won´t have much motivation to leave the hook. Solve the gen problem and you´ll have less campers.
An idea to reduce tunneling/camping with already established perks could be to give BBQ additional stacks for hooking "fresh" survivors. Like getting the 5th stack only after all 4 survivors have been hooked once.
That's the mindset that people have. There only 5 meta perks when in fact there are multiple that are amazing and are just as good. I'll name a few that Iron will, spine chill, resilence, all the exhaustion perks besides head on, we'll make it, bond, detectives hunch, kindred. All of these should be apart of the meta, but are not because people only wanna believe that there are only 5 good perks when in fact there are a lot.

Survivors are not always gonna have a good game and escape, just like killers won't always kill all 4 survivors. That is something you just need to accept about the game, you can't always win. Camping being "no fun" is subjective to whoever you ask and you can't say it ruins the game for everyone cause it really doesn't and some people enjoy thwarting the camping killer. Perks are literally there to be used and trying to say you need a defense without the use of perks is pretty silly, you use perks to help you stop situations that are bad for you. The game has been designed this way for almost 5 years, with this same complaint of camping being brought up time and time again. There's probably a reason that its still in the game and still able to be done, cause there are points where you need to camp to buy yourself time as a killer.
I get that you wont always have fun, but these past couple of weeks this game has been unfun not just 1 match outta 20, but every 2 matchs. The camping in this game is becoming absurd and saying to run the same perks over and over to counter it is a bad excuse.
I'll say it again there are over 70 perks in the game with 4 perks slots. Having to take up 2 slots for ds bt when maybe you want to have spine chill and resilience, or fixated sprint burst in some of your matches.
Being forced to run the same perks every game is bad design, and has ruined this game because the devs think it is ok the plaster fix an idea with a perk instead of fixing the issue directly. I get that maybe something you might need a perk that fixes an issue, but not every perk should be made because your bad at designing a game and wouldn't fix it normally.
I get what your saying, but I dont think perks should fix bad game design, especially when you have made something like PH cages that teleport why you camp it. Dont see why they cant do that.

@Power_Guy said:
I said it in the other thread about camping and tunneling but since the threads are copies of eachother...
Camping & tunneling are allowed because nothing can 'be done about it' without introducing a mechanic that falls into one of these categories:
- It's abuseable by Survivors
- It takes away Killer player agency
- It's spiteful just to be spiteful
- It forces unhooks at times when Killers need the kill to swing the game, thus forcing them to lose. And no one wants to play a game where they are forced to let the other team win. There's no point to having human controlled Killers, if the game is going to decide plays that cost the match.
Seriously. Complaining that camping is 'unfun' is like logging into an FPS/Battle Royale and saying 'It's unfun that snipers can shoot me from across the map. I can't shoot them back, and they knock me out of the match before I get to play. Please remove snipers, for the health of the game'.
It's Survivors asking for Killers to be forced to play badly, because they don't approve of how they lost to said Killers. But here's a bit of news; no one likes to lose. You take away 'camping', then 'slugging', then 'tunneling', and then the next way Killers win will be 'cheap'. Then the one after that with be 'unfun'.
On and on it will go; every tactic Killers have will need to be removed 'for the health of the game', because people don't understand that losing is less fun than winning. So they lose, don't have fun, blame the tactic used, and claim it needs to be removed because it's 'unfun' and 'for the health of the game'.
Never said losing had anything to do with it. Camping most likely let's survivors win, but did they enjoy that match, no, because the killer didnt interact with them and they held m1 on a gen for over a minute. Did the killer have fun, maybe enjoying the survivor suffering on the hook, but other then that probably not.
You can do something about it with out making it a abusable. The devs just are not interested because they believe you should run the same perks to "counter it", but as Ive before perks are not counter and when you have 70+ perks in a 4 perk slot system you want to run something different.
Plaster fixing bad game design is a bad way to go about it and is the reason there game is complained about. They dont try things or when they do they do it 1 time and give up, and create a perk to try and fix it.

Maybe it's because their unwillingness to fix issues that make the game boring like gen speed, and camping/tunneling and the reasons behind it are not the brightest.
Boring for whom? And why does "boring" take precedence over balance?
It boring on both sides. Idk how the killer would have fun camping you just proxy around a hook for 2 minutes, and the survivors get no benevolent or chase points because there's no interaction.
Fun in the game is more important than balance for the simple reason of if your not having fun you dont play the game. Yes balance can affect how much fun your having in the game, like gen speeds makes it unfun for killer.
If you want people to play your game it has to be enjoyable so you can keep playing it without feeling that sense of boredom.

This thread repeted every day is boring, devs are not interesting in working tunneling or camping becsuse is legal play mechanic, and we have less killer mains than survivor mains.
They will not work on what you ask for because the number of killer mains would decrease even more.
Maybe it's because their unwillingness to fix issues that make the game boring like gen speed, and camping/tunneling and the reasons behind it are not the brightest.
Ya tunneling is a mechanic, but its an poor one at that. The survivors get punished by d pipping just like the killer because guess what, no chase interaction or benevolent points. They're accuse those perks is also a ######### excuse and shows that they know nothing about the game. BT and Ds are not anti tunnel perks because the killer will still come after you if they want.
Also them saying that your willingness to run the same perks every single match is also a ######### excuse for bad game design because you introduce over 70 perks in a 4 perk slot system and you need to always run ds bt which takes to slots up.
Next is gen speed which can force the killer into camping and tunneling because they see no way around getting a kill without it because the gens are to quick for the killer to pressure 4 people. Again yes they have perks to counter act to gens, but no one should be forced into running them when you have over 70+ perks in the game.
I'll leave it at this by saying if the threads keep happening over and over maybe there's an issue there to be dealt with, and passing it off as a game mechanic might not be the best solution and maybe instead of plaster fixes like perks maybe they should look into your game design.

Survivors always spawn next to a gen. When more than 1 survivor spawn at the same point, that gen just goes quicker. Also, the losing 3 gens in a single chase situation can happen at any point of the match.
They is just to many variables to take in at the start. Ya maybe 1 spawns next to a gen, but the others dont. Or maybe 2 spawn next to a gen and the other 2 spawn next to the other, but get pushed away, leaving most likley 1 gen popping unless the survivor from that group tsplit from that gen to start another which takes time, but is a possibility, which means 2 could pop.

Yup. I lot of the posts here are from fairly new Survivors. First big tip for the first few minutes, SPLIT UP... go to the extreme four corners... work Generators. The Killer cannot be in two places at once.
Played the game for 3.5k hours. Top percent survivor. Just find it boring to go against over and over that's all. Like I said not all 5 gens can pop in 2 minutes. Ya 3 can, but that still leaves room for the camping killer to get 1 more kill.

Just imagine when one of them keeping killer in chase and others doing gens. Playing killer needs really so much skills.
I think your being sarcastic, but he played trapper only m1ing and didnt set up any traps or break the walls to the building. Usually a killer has time to set up around the map not just start a chase and mind game every pallet until you get a down.

Survivors spawn next to gens. So they start instantly with the gen.
To continue with your example: 20 seconds to find the survivor, 30 seconds to down him (really short chase), 2,5 seconds picking up animation, 15 seconds to get to a hook, 2,5 seconds hooking animation. Killer just spend a total of 70 seconds for his first hook. A gen takes 80 seconds at most, so its unlikely that the killer gets to 1 of the 3 gens in time, before they are finished. Now 2 survivors can go do the last 2 gens, while the third survivor attempts a rescue. Even if he fails, the hook timer is 120 seconds. So still enough time to finish the last gens and go for the rescue.
Are you using a situation at the beginning because the survivor most of the time dont spawn next to a gen and most likely will travel around maybe 10 to 15 seconds could be less to start on one. Also there could be multiple survivors at 1 spawn location which means the survivors if caught by the killer will have to spread away from each other to do other gens which takes more time.

I play both sides, I main hillbilly, and ghostface on killer side. That's how I know camping is boring. I started out a baby rank 20 camping not knowing what to do 4 1/2 years ago, but grow out of it in 2 weeks becuz it boring. I will always leave the hook now and try to find others becuz the fun is in the chase. Mind gaming and getting the survivor at a tile feels great and rewarding unlike proxying a hook for 2 minutes.

Right so let's be generous, and say from the start at all points 2 people are pressured (let's say you have ye ol' meghead with a flashlight following the killer) and so only two people can do gens. Killer starts and is optimally put in LOS of survivor. Good survivor however, knows how to loop and predict mindgames, loops killer for 60s. To take them to a hook is 10 more seconds. 10 seconds later of them being on a hook, 2 gens pop. 100 seconds later (20s to find a gen) another 2 gens pop. The killer then finds the meghead that's been following them around and waiting for the save for donkeys years when they could already be out of the match. Downs her fairly quickly, 30s in a chase. This meghead isn't the brightest. She goes onto hook. 70s later, a gen pops. 2 escaped, 2 dead, all in 300s without toolboxes or any gen perks. That's base speed. Now imagine 4 slightly kitted out toolboxes (around 15s off each- 60s off a gen in total) plus prove thyself and that new gen perk. That would lower the time drastically.
See why gen speeds (whilst they may not bring stuff to gen rush) are gonna be ridiculously quick even in the killers ideal start if they camp.
I was talking about true gen rushing which rarely happens. Yes I know gen speed are broken and need changes, but so should camping and tunneling. They both (gen speed and tunneling/camping) make the game boring and unfun.

Say it's a quick chase. Maybe you take 20 seconds to find 1 person, and 30 second chase. You still dont have enough time to do all 5 gens before that survivor dies, and the killer can find someone else to chase next and potentially gets another kill.

Well since you don't know what gen rushing is it's obvious you don't know what camping is either, so i guess we can all stop thinking you're delusional and making fantasies about camping and instead you just think the killer just breathing is camping + tunneling + slugging + hacking.
No bud you dont know what gen rushing is becuz you play one side. That's what a true gen rush is. A 4 minute game were survs just do gens and dont care about anything else but the gens. I do know what camping is it's when a killer down right refuses to leave the hook and tunneling is when they chase the person on hook off hook. You seem to think you are better and know what your talking about instead of comprehending about what the other person is actually saying. But keep thinking that way in you Fantasy bud.

I would say it makes the game a challenge for killer, but not boring. Boring would be getting babies and stomping on them every game and considering yourself good. That's just my opinion though. A Good killer can deal with swf, and challenge the swf. The issue is the gen speed. Which yes I believe does need to be dealt with just like camping. Do you not find a slight bit of irony in the fact that you deny gen rushing and claim it almost never happens but go on a rant about 20 campers on a row?
Sorry, but I have gen rushers in almost every single one of my matches. 4 survivors starting on 4 different gens, in 80 seconds that's 4 gens done. I can find, down and hook someone in the very first 30 seconds of a match, and guess what? A gen ALWAYS pops before that.
So quit gate keeping gen rushing while making delusions of you being constantly targeted by some camping curse.
You're ilterally playing in a SWF and still have problem winning? You probably have your 3 teammates following you around trying to bully the killer. Gee, I wonder why the killer won't leave the hook against a toxic SWF that is surrounding the hooked survivor like crows.
Here is were I know you didnt read it all. First never said 20 games in a row. I said 20 outta 24 games. 2nd never claimed about losing the games I said it's a boring strat and ruins the fun. 3rd gen rushing is when 5 gens get completed in less then 4 minutes. Not a gen popping for a hook becuz that's always gonna happen if the surv are good.
-
Camping is a weak strat never said it was strong. My point is that it's boring and out of control right now and makes for boring a** games especially when its happens in 80%+ in games in 1 day. Also survivors get punished in the emblem system becuz of it and could depip for something they cant really do much about. It is a huge problem and needs to be addressed.

Not 400 seconds. Killer is camping one survivor.
3 survivors 3 different gens 80 seconds. 2 gens left.
Killer is still camping, you have still 40 seconds. So 3 survivors started 3 different gens again. When guy who is on hook died, 3 gens %50. And then when killer started chase one survivor, anyone can make him busy for 40 seconds. There will be so much pallets, so just force him to broke all this. And your teammates will finish last 2 gens and will open gates. When Last gen done, slowly go to gates. Dont worry your teammates will take one hit for you. Now you all are okey.
I never had problem against camper killers. They are easy.
You fail to realize that maybe not all survivors are on gens at the same time and the time it takes to travel to the gens after completing them. So yes by the time you pop 3 gens the survivor on the hook while most likely be dead, and he could start another chase with the next survivor that could give him a second kill.

3 gens can pop in 120 seconds.
The Killer will de-pip and get no points.
You will also depip becuz guess what. The survivor is also punished for not going for the save because that makes sense when the killer is camping. Also you wouldn't get chase points if the killer is camping, so it's a lose lose. This has been out of control the past few weeks and it makes the game less enjoyable, and makes me play less and less.
-
Ds doesnt stop tunneling. It gives you a 5 second stun before the killer cames back at you for more because ds is not a true anti tunnel.
Also, Like I said it's not possible to do all gens in 2 minutes (survivor hook timer). Which means the killer could get a second kill for doing nothing.
-
@Northener1907 said:
If you are genrushing killer has to play more dirty. That is legal. Also if killer is camping you can finish 5 gens. There 3 survivors are free in map. Do gens.
Also there will be so much pallet because killer wanted camp and this pallets never used. So when killer started new chase use them so easly, other 2 survivors will have so much time finish last gens and open gates. You 3 survivors escaped. Killer has 1 kill only and so little points. Next game killer will think about no camping.
First off gen rushing only happens in maybe 1 outta 200 games (true gen rushing) Also of course gens will pop when you are camping, and third it's not possible if your team is bad. Gens take 80 sec, it takes 2 minutes for a surv to die on hook 120 sec, 5 gens take 400 seconds. Also my friends like I said have challenges like unhooking which is made difficult when the killer just camps the hook. Also you will have resources, but if the killer decides to chase you until he downs you he will get that 2nd kill.

Unhooker gets hit, runs to a loop, uses Dead Hard.
Easily can cost you a gen.
Unhooker cant make it that far when farming and here's why. He goes for the farm you hit him. This cancels the animation of unhooking which means he has to do it again and make no distance or if the unhooker gets the unhook and you hit he losses the sprint burst distance because of the animation of unhooking. Again it's a win because now to survivors are not doing anything while the other 2 have to plan what to do next.

It's a lose-lose.
If the Survivors farm each other, I shouldn't be punished for it.
What it's not a lose lose, you get a free down if they farm because you get the unhooker. You get a really quick hook and more pressure because the survivor who got unhooked will most likely heal leaving the other 2 to go for the save

12 seconds allows Survivors to run 48 meters.
Maybe go for the unhooker then instead of tunneling it's that simple.

So now it's officially three weeks till the 5th-anniversary broadcast, and they just revealed the logo aka the 5. And if we remember last year they used the 4 to show us that the killer was Pyramid Head. However, they may not pull the same trick like they did last time but just to double-check I have to ask...

Does anything stick out about it, or look familiar from RE at all? Let me know please this will help us figure out what the next killer could be or which RE game they are working with to bring into the game.
EDIT: Spelling error
The 5 is a sickle which is from the lady's daughter's in res village the new game, but them mentioning 3 weeks away and the font of the 5 is the same as res 3 logo, it might be nemesis

They released billy's default jeans as a free rift reward.
Wowe
they couldn't even color his belt buckle or something. Literally the exact same jeans
I because it's only suppose to be on the skin, that's why trappers clothes dont have ice on them in his cosmetic. Also the dbd mobile skin didnt come with pants for billy

4 of his best add-ons became 100% useless overnight.
enjoy those 1 hour queue times survivors.
That what every killer main says enjoy the queues, but they never change the queue times are always the same and are only affected by what time of the day it is

No, it would create another whole huge balancing issue and also a tier list for survivors, meaning you would only see one or a few different survivors over others.
I dont believe so. If this was true then for killer you would only see spirit and nurse, but you dont, you see a variety of killers played.

Yea Spirit is tough- especially a rank 1. I agree- running back over your tracks doesn’t work. I even tried Tru3’s suggestion of doubling back crouched to throw off sound but that’s too inconsistent for me. When it doesn’t work, feel like I gave her a free hit and didn’t waste enough of her time. Iron Will for the spirits who do not run Stridor or Whisperers helps a lot. Combine that with Spine Chill & your chances improve ever so slightly lol. But the best counter I’ve had luck with so far (especially within the past 24 hours), is breaking line of sight and crouching still with Iron Will. Your timing has to be pretty damn good though. You need tall building structures/walls and you have to walk opposite of where you just ran and then crouch still (so if you just finished running to the right behind something, walk to the left then quickly crouch still behind another structure). Even then it’s no guarantee cause she knows you didn’t get far. Best I try to do is waste as much of her time as possible.

Not everyone runs iron will though and also crouching at least for me doesnt make the survivors quieter and I find them just as easily. Also spine chill is just a indicator that you're about to die to her Imo.

Not everyone runs iron and also at least for me crouching doesnt affect the noise that survivors make. To me spine chill is just a I'm about to die and now I'm dead when it lights up. I also dont like how Tru3 says he doesnt learn things that work against bad killers but proceeds to use things like crouching back at the spirit and then running which just makes you lose distance.

Even Twins, Demo got nerfed. And both are not op killers.
Spirit? What is special about this girl? Why this annoying killer is not never nerfing? She has not any counterplay, even Nurse has it but Spirit can take easy 4K.
Check this post where I prove that the only thing that counters her is god pallets and windows
