Nemesis' 3 hit to down tentacle is fair & here's why
I keep seeing people say he's a worse Plague, Pyramid Head, Huntress, & Deathslinger so his 3 hit to down tentacle isn't really fair. However, people are leaving out crucial details for why it's fair for other killers & not him.
To start, PH's punishment of the damned travel time is alot slower than Nemesis'. While it is longer, it's way easier to dodge if you aren't locked in an animation. Mind you when he uses it he can't move & has to wait for the animation to end.
Now there's the Plague comparison. Firstly, she can't just use her corrupt purge whenever she wants she has to travel to a corrupted fountain, sometimes she doesn't have one for most of the game, wait the whole drinking animation & has a limited amount of time to use it. Nemesis' can use his tentacle whenever he wants.
Lastly, Huntress has a limited amount of hatches and MOST IMPORTANTLY is a 4.4 speed killer along with deathslinger who can't down people over pallets like Nemesis' can.
Mind you, you're a 2 hit killer if they're contaminated AND there's a limited amount of vaccines. Frankly, I see the 3 hit AND the speed boost as fair, otherwise people would only use his tentacle making next to no structure safe.

It's super easy, barely an inconvenience to dodge his tentacle. It's a slower deathslinger harpoon. The hits he gets are basically the same as PH, when the survivor is locked in animation
When out in the open, yeah it's easy to dodge, but when you drop/vault a pallet or hop a window, you have less time to react & fake it bcuz his windup time + movement is alot better than PH's. Deathslinger can also hit you, but not injure you while Nemesis' is a guaranteed hit if it hits you. If it is slower, then it isn't by much so it doesn't justify it being 2 hits.
I escaped last night infected and injured running all the way across the map to the gate because this nemesis refused to use his fist. Step to left (miss), step to right (miss), dead hard for distance, step to right (miss), out the gate I go. Peace. Could have just punched me in the back probable 4 times.
Maybe I didn't express myself properly.
I didn't mean the speed of the attack itself, I meant the speed of the start up. The "right mouse click" part.
Also nemesis has an audio cue, which makes it easier aswell
He was being too reliant and/or was trying to practice & failing terribly lol
IMO, the tentacle hit box is not forgiving enough to justify 3 hits. All it takes even in a enclosed area is a slight movement to the side to dodge it. If the killer has good ping you’re more than likely going to make him miss if you’re not locked in an animation
Yeah it is fair because makes him weak and we all know survivors loves weak killers. Yey.
Ah I see what you mean, but I still don't think that's enough to justify a 2 hit power instead.
Plague can puke on someone, break them, and then down them with zero speed boosts.
Phead can hit multiple people with one attack. Which happens pretty frequently because of unhooks, and can hit through walls.
Huntress hatchets are map wide. You can injure and down someone across the map.
Dslinger shot is basically impossible to react to, provides free zoning, and applies deep wound.
The only thing Nemesis has on amy of these is that he can break pallets and breakable walls. (After you get it to rank 2 for some reason) All for the trade off of not only having to hit a survivor 3 times with 2 speed boosts, he also has the shortest range.
Nemesis sucks. His 3 hit nonsense should be the first thing to go.
I'm not a surv main if that's what you're implying & it's still too early to call him weak.
50 matches i played as him? And that's early? I played 15 - 20 matches with Blight and i saw how much he is powerful.
He did great at first it was my first matchup against him. I kept trying to play him like a normal killer (vaults, pallets, etc.). Best way to waste his time is to just run and dodge tentacle/force basic attack.
Except it really isn't fair once he's reached T3, because at that point he's getting punished for using his power.
Honestly I feel the speedboost is okay to be in there, the best thing the devs can do isn't to remove it, it's to apply the hindered for the full duration of the speedboost so survivors aren't running away at 150% but 130% which is still a lot and let survivors gain a lot of distance on nemesis since he's standing there at less than 50% for 2.5s.
Since you're applying a permanent debuff that can be removed only 4 times per match I feel it's reasonable for it to have some kind of downside appart from the default hit CD, you're making that person vulnerable to ranged attacks past pallets, windows and debris if misstimed crouching. Still having a healthstate removing like sprint burst is still way too obnoxious to deal with, chases become so long you might've lost 3 gens to efficient trying survs right after if not before you've downed anyone with your power.
Yay another killer who's hard countered by holding Shift + w.
My favourite... :')
You know it my friend.
it's actually pretty weak bait maybe a 3/10
Literally almost every other killer has a 2 hit power, PH who has the same attack basically has a 2 hit power. DS has a 2 hit power, Huntress has a 2 hit power. The only range killer that doesnt is Trickster. I believe he should have a 2 hit power because of how much distance a survivor can make off of 3 hits. They already make loads of distance when you hit them once. Also survivor will not respect it the first time because it does nothing but give you a sprint burst. Just my opinion though.
Are you trying to be the reverse Sluzzy?
I've played roughly the same amount at red ranks & he's not feeling weak when I play him.
You forgot to put the negatives to Nemesis’s power so let me fix your post to show why he is weaker
While pyramid head’s power is slower, his goes through walls, has longer range, can swing out of it with the right timing, and his wider than Nemesis’s tentacle
Plague’s infection is what people keep comparing it in which, his infection makes survivors periodically cough and allows survivors to be hurt by zombies and his tentacle, plague leaves the survivors in the broken status effect once they are fully infected, giving them less time to recover from when a mistake is made
Nemesis however, you are headlocked upon activating for power for a second, are slowed down when hitting or missing, it goes 4 meters by default (increases to a whopping 5 when leveled up), has to 3 hit down fully healthy survivors and they still a speed boost, has a really tight hurtbox, but it moves at 1000%...which with add-ons huntress with a fully charged hatchet can go faster than that which can make a fully charged hatchet undodgeable sometimes
Nemesis has more negatives than all of these killers, he doesn’t perform well on outdoor maps (zombies aren’t that useful on those maps) and big maps you might as well pray, his zombies AI is so bad that it can get stuck on a tree and a generator, sometimes rocks.
In my case, if we removed the speed boost survivors get when the are initially infected by nemesis it would make him feel much better to play
That honor already belongs to Lord Tony
What do you mean lol
Sluzzy is troll but i am not. I am not agreeing with your survivorside opinion that makes me troll? Okey, lol
Saying that Nemesis is as weak as Trapper is absolutely a troll take
Uh is this post defending a 3 hit attack on nemesis? The things with those killers you mention is plague makes survivors broken if they don't cleanse for a 1 shot. Hutress has unlimited range even if she's 4.4ms and can shot over objects. Pyramid can go through obstacles and sometimes gives you less reaction time if they're playing well. And then there's gunslinger the best of all 3 imo. His shots are fast and can hurt you even if he doesn't M1. Nemesis is weak needs that 3 attacks removed and increase his range.
I think just the speed boost on the contamination hit should go, or to keep things consistent as they love to do, make Plague give a speed boost when they break.
(pls don't, just saying this on neme was a bad idea.)
The issue I take with the three hits thing is the speed boost from the initial infection hit. The speed boost completely negates the secondary part of his power when he infects, and that's to hinder people. The hinder effect is clearly supposed to be important if they even added an add-on that increases the duration of it. But again, if they're able to zip away after being infected, then really what's the point of having that as a secondary effect since you'll never be able to capitalize off of it? Either make the initial tentacle slap do both, damage and infect and take away the hindered effect, that way you justify the speed boost. Or make it so that the initial infection slap doesn't trigger the speed boost, giving him the opportunity to capitalize off of hindering survivors. Keep in mind the hindered effect only applies off of the initial infection hit, it is not applied every time he tentacle smacks people. So even if the vials are used up, with each survivor curing themselves once, he can only hinder a survivor twice per game. After that, that's it.
Plus the infection doesn't even do anything... Plague's eventually makes survivors broken, which is why they'd want to cure that asap, but with Nemesis, his infection has no negative impact to survivors besides giving them a light case of the flu. Oh whoopee they cough... they don't even cough as much as when Plague infects them. This is supposed to be the T-Virus that he infects you with, a dangerous virua that kills you and turns you in to a zombie. It's not a pleasant thing to have in the Resident Evil universe. But here, it's just a minor inconvenience that can be cured with a lozenge. His infection honestly needs something else. If you wanna keep the 3 hits to a down, then fine. But to compensate you need to have a better negative effect for the infection mechanic other than coughing and looking like you just came out of a smurf bukkake.
Honestly, he should have a full second of the tentacle out so you could actually prepare for the attack. Its crap that you can't actually see it on survivor side. Also, give health states of damage after all gens are done and Tier 3 is active so end game isn't a nightmare. Fix the zombie ai from getting stuck on random crap and he'd be fine.
