  • If your Meg was lvl 50 P0, then she received two additional levels, making her P2.

Your Dwight was P1, so he became P3 by receiving 2 levels.

Both of them received two levels, so I believe there is no problem with the numbers ?

  • I'm pretty sure the additional levels of the archive were explicitly offered to people who complete the 70 levels in the first month and then twiddle their thumbs waiting for the next tome.

Your other points are completely correct though. If you don't think it's fun, don't let it poison your experience of the game because you're under pressure or just forcing yourself to play. It would only make your experience less fun and we don't want that :)

  • Of all the things Nurse has that can be deemed problematic, I don't think this is very major. Sure, she'll sometimes accidentally find a survivor that way, but it's not like it's a time gain for checking lockers over just opening them.

  • Had a DC as a Hag earlier, and commonly gets a lot of DCs when playing Legion.

  • If anyone wants an example of an exceptionally laggy game (I'm guessing it lags but the game was also glitched after a survivor DC'd), here's one from earlier today.

I've played for several hundred hours and never lagged before the event, and during the event I've only lagged when playing killer (right before that game I played survivor for 2 hours with no connection issue). I'm on PC with a stable connection thanks to fibreoptic internet.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zM_ZgnqRa4

(Video content : highlights of a DC-induced glitch and then massive lag that I cannot explain)

  • It allegedly still does it, but now that the max is 100 I think the increase is less noticeable.

  • I've had a match like this against a sabo squad a couple of months back. I think with 1 offering that spaces out hooks a bit, it can be a deadzone, since I couldn't seem to get that survivor on hook when she was downed there. They were really good sports though, and I was happy with a draw.

  • My game hasn't crashed in a few hours of playing the event, but I've been much, much laggier than usual (screen freezing a few times), which never happened to me on the game before.

  • Those are some massive wheelchairs. Must be very comfortable on the patient's bums !

  • I don't think it fits the horror atmosphere that is arguably still at the core of the game.

I also think giving more BM potential to a community that's already famed for its toxic elements is not a good idea.

  • Don't have any yet, but I'll enjoy playing the Swamp Monster Hag when I'll have it all unlocked.

  • It's a spooky jumpscare feature :)

Also Hag needs all the help she can get, poor thing is so painfully weak at chases.

I mean, don't we just cap heal speeds? You say this may hurt low mmr and solo queue which isn't incorrect. But just make it so green med-kits can't heal you in 8 seconds twice. Solo queues with 4 stacked med-kits can just create game speed out of nothing. There is very little time wasted when there is 3 to 4 med-kits involved. And when very little time is wasted gens just fly. Just nerf the extremes, It really won't hurt solo queue/ low mmr that much. They can still heal, its just the extreme 3-4 stacked med-kits that allow 0 pressure to be made outside of downing players so fast that uninterrupted gens are impossible.

I'd be okay with green medkits being nerfed a little bit, absolutely ! Even making the speed the same but having it be 1 and a half heal would make it less efficient since people would still need to group up to finish that second heal, unless they're using another complementary perk like Solidarity or Reactive Healing. :)

  • I feel sorry for Haddie haha, would genuinely love playing as her but apparently that's not very common ! xD

  • Steve and Nancy :(

Would be nice if killers ever got it but since its ment to be a 4:1 Ratio it hardly ever goes over and if it does its not for long

I don't know in which region you're playing, but here in EU I've seen pretty consistent +100% killer incentives every evening this week. But yeah in daytime you'll rarely see them !

  • Your winning criteria for survivor and killer does not have to be mutually exclusive.

You can consider a 3K as a win when you're killer, even though the 4rth survivor had an exhilarating game. It's all about how good the game was for you. As survivor, one man escape after a good game can be a a win. It doesn't make the killer's 3K a loss or a draw.

There are 5 players. Sometimes, people from both sides win. :)

  • I personally appreciate when a killer gives me a little more time to get some stuff done and avoid de-pipping. It's a nice intention.

Ah, man - you're bringing me back by saying that you're currently learning Ghostie. At least you're learning him now that his addons have been reworked and buffed! He's so much fun and has some really good payoff. What kind of builds are you running on him? Want/need any advice or suggestions for him??

Oh I'd love any suggestions of builds or general advices on him ! I've been playing him for about two weeks and I'm loving it so far, but I don't get that much value from his power since there seems to be so much to do all the time ! I don't have much down time to get a good stalk going. (For context, I'm usually playing Legion so I'm used to being constantly chasing people around, and I started playing during the 6th anniversary)

I haven't yet messed with his rarer addons, right now I'm using brown faster shroud cooldown and 10 sec longer marked (I'm a rare item hoarder, so I don't often use rarer add ons than yellow... Now that he's Prestige 2 he has a comfortable reserve of add ons).

My current build on him is something like Nurse's Calling, Discordance, Overcharge and and Whispers. (Overcharge being my go-to slowdown and Whispers being interchangeable with other perks right now, I've been messing with Play With Your Food, I'm All Ears, Save the Best For Last, and Surveillance)

I know the basics of 99'ing stalks but I still blunder a bit when several people are in my field of vision, and I'm not 10/10 at mind games (though the undetectable greatly helps mid-chase).

For any build suggestions' purposes, my Ghostface has all tier 3 teachable of : Trapper, Wraith, Billy, Nurse, Huntress, Myers, Hag, Clown, Doctor, Legion, Pig, Artist and Spirit. (I don't own the other characters)

I've also been advised to watch some Esskay and SpookyLoopz to see how they play, so I'm doing that.

I'm eager to hear any advice :)

Hi @Blue_Archer33 ! A few weeks ago you offered some advices or suggestions on playing Ghostface, and now that it's actually almost Halloween, I'd love to hear them if you're still up for teaching a young Ghostie a few tricks :D

If not it's completely fine, hope you have a great Halloween event :)

  • Reports are made on the endgame board, not before the game happens. Try to access the menu I talked about at the end of your game, it should be there !

There is no in game 'REPORT' like there usually was. For players with anonimity switched on their is only 'BLOCK'.

If you click at the end of their leaderboard slot (where there is the "escape", "dead", "killer" logo), you'll access the menu in which you can give them a thumbs up or report them for either harassment, griefing, etc. It's a different place than where you click on their username (it's not made obvious, I'll give you that). That way it's still possible to report anonymous mode players !

At least it worked that way in my experience on pc :)

It would be nice to know why, tho. I thought Devs said that they want to be more opened with people and that they'd tell us everything when they do something.

Honestly, at this point I think they might have tried to sneak the disabled DC penalties so that people getting disconnected could queue up again, and hopefully no one would notice and abuse it

Which I wouldn't blame them for

But also apparently didn't work if people are talking about it in the forums haha !

  • I think a lot of people had issues with the game crashing from the new update, maybe it's because of that ?

  • @BendIt said:

Waste of time you have it so easy at the moment...

DC is never recommended and whilst there is no penalty at the moment, not that you should ever DC..........

You can't report certain players or identify them with the new hide settings..... you can 'BLOCK' them which lets face it does that even work?

    Poor performance indeed

You can actually report anonymous mode players, the ingame report will flag the match and the support agents will be able to find the player once they read your ticket. So they definitely should report if they have proof.

The blocking option has another function, that is to prevent them from further contacting you.

  • I play both, usually killer in daytime and survivor in the evening.

  • Pretty sure it was made as a 3rd health state. After all it gave : 1- invincibility for a short time, 2- distance, and devs have spoken that distance was not its intended use.

So it was always about a 3rd health state if used well. And it still is after the change, which makes it perfectly in line with its intended purpose.

  • It is bannable, yes ! It's good that you have video proof. :)

I reject this line of thinking. Something being fine in low mmr but game breaking in high mmr is a problem. Inexperienced/low MMR players will eventually become more seasoned and improve.

The only reason Legion can get by with hit and run is because they can not only injure easily, but they also inflict Deep Wound, which will slow down your healing. Of course, if you can still power through gens while keeping the heals up, even Legion will struggle.

I understand your point about things being fine in one mmr but game breaking in another, but all I'm saying is that we should be careful how we nerf stuff as to not make the casual players' experience too unpleasant. It's already super discouraging being a casual survivor. People play 300h and are still not good at chases, still have horrendous escape rates. How long is "eventually"? How much neglect is it tolerable to inflict on what makes a good part of the playerbase, because of another ?

I get that things need to be adjusted at high mmr, but all that is done is stuff that majorly impact average-level players more than it does high mmr. Killers were buffed to have higher overall killrates because they didn't kill enough in high mmr. That's all good and fine. Except most it did was make casual, average players' games harder.

So yeah, changes need to be done, but for the love of all that is unholy, let's tread lightly on making the beginner and casuals experiences worse. This game is not competitive by nature, everyone should be able to enjoy it without it taking a thousand hours of experience...

  • I appreciate the effort for once to not put all SWF in the same bag, it feels good to see that for once.

I'm not really on board with your ideas however. First of all, I don't think you could add more gens, first because depending on the matchmaking one more gen could turn things from manageable to impossible. Also, 4-men-SWF are not that common, and I feel bad for the random solo paired with a 3-man that logs into the game and sees "6 gens remaining", haha. Same with actions that would take longer : the solos would not understand why their counterparts are so inefficient.

I think it's a good idea for the game to notice which tags often play together and if they're good together, but maybe instead of adding additional objectives or handicaps into the game, just implement a "collective mmr" mechanic, where if you play solo, you have your own mmr, if you play SWF, your group collectively has one mmr, that starts off a bit higher from your individual mmrs because the game takes into account that you could communicate. Then, your collective mmr would adjust from escapes and deaths.

That way, if you're very good with your pals, you'll be matched with solo.s and a killer from your collective mmr level. Like this, no stray solo is thrown under the bus with more objectives to do or inefficient players.

That's just an idea though, but I think it would be healthy for the game without actually nerfing most SWFs !

  • I understand all of this, yet medkits are pretty much all low-ish mmr players have to survive when you don't know when you'll find a teammate for a heal, whether that be because you can't coordinate with solo q or because your friend is occupied on the other end of the map. Not sure how we could tank a medkit nerf. I'm already dependant on We'll Make It to tackle the heal straight after the hook so that the unhooked doesn't flail around the map trying to find someone to heal them instead of doing gens.

Something should be done to buff hit-and-run killers a bit though, I recognize that. Right now, I feel like the only somewhat efficient hit-and-run playstyle is Legion, and that's because people know it's not worth it healing against them (and if you do, well, you'll be found and injured quickly through Killer Instinct).

  • You exect me to be able to think correctly with that picture ? drools

More seriously, you didn't do anything wrong. It's not like you were taunting them or anything.

  • I see them pretty often, but then again, I'm always first in the chat saying something nice, so they probably feel like it's safe to say gg once they see I didn't "ez" them.

  • I'm all for making Hag as fun as imaginable !

I currently like her power, but once you get past the people who've never faced her, it's so easy to feel powerless against survivors since she can be reduced to less than simply "M1 killer" because of her speed.

  • Take care as well ! Wish you luck on your life issues :)

  • I think it's fine as it currently is ? Hag is already decently counterable and so weak in chase, if you remove the ability to do chain traps to try and help her get downs, or to heavily trap an area, then she better get lots of buffs to compensate because she'd be helpless.

  • On one hand, I love the idea of side objectives.

On the other, my lobbies rarely even see the gates being powered. It's not like we have lots of time to spare. :/

  • I think it's more pressure that way, because you hear him coming but you don't know from where and end up trying to hide just in front of him or accidentally running into his claw.

SC was gone? Still the number 1 most used survivor perk.

For a few seconds, I lived in a world where Self Care did not exist and wondered what the problem was with Spine Chill being the 1 most used survivor perk.

  • The biggest brain of all !

  • I mean, most event items for survivors are not significantly different than their usual items. It's just a toolbox, or a beamer, etc.

The serum, outside of the halloween event, would make for many, many reports for cheating as people wouldn't expect it. Also it's much stronger I guess.

  • It does feel a bit unfair that survivors have to escape with it, while killers will by default get the reward just playing normally the endgame. When for most casual players escaping (or even reaching endgame) is rarer than dying....

  • Hag - You can teleport to trigged Mud Phatasms. This add-on trumps all other add-ons.

So basically just something to use the other Iri/purple add-ons with. Drawback is that you essentially only have 1 add-on, since this one has no other purpose than making the teleportation possible.

  • That looks like a bug.. :/

  • Can't wait to mess around with bots !

  • Game on Eyrie against the Clown. I spend basically the whole game going for unhooks as the killer was really proficient at his job. End of the game, it's just a Dwight and I left. Dwight is on hook, and my friend is telling me that I should just hide and look for hatch when Dwight dies, but I still want to give him a chance.

I unhook and heal him, then Clown is coming so we split up.

Dwight apparently made friends with the Clown, led him to me with Bond, and proceeded to teabag me while I was on hook until I almost get to second stage, then farm me only for me to get back on hook, then unhooked again, then sacrificed. All in exchange of that nice humming hatch.

I really should have let him die.
