Make everyone have a bald cosmetic and a shirtless cosmetic. Only Myers is powerful enough to escape pants in the Entity's realm.
-
It would be cruel to limit this perk to a small area. Survivors often link tiles in a chase. Make it 128 meters and then on final gen completion block all vaults in the map for x amount of time.
You might say it's cruel, but the time it's active is limited.
-
It's buggy. Like I get that they want players to play the whole match through (they're like 5~10 minutes long anyway) but...it's buggy lol.
-
I'm gonna vote Wraith. Like, what noise even is that? "Aaaaagh?" No. Elephant noises? Kinda. It's like he stubbed his toe and he's screaming in the vacuum of space but also underwater. It's so weird.
-
I came back for the rift/lore. I don't like some individual stories, but overall I like that the rift package is here.
-
I'm gonna be a total nerd and go over every perk because I have nothing better to do at the moment.
Bond: Lets other survivors see you too when you have the perk equipped.
Sprint Burst: Activate it with a button press
Streetwise: Enhances your add ons. (ie if a bandage gives 8 charges, Streetwise would bump it up to 16)
Sole Survivor: Let it still have an effect if a survivor dcs or is mori'd.
Up the Ante: The longer you have a killer in chase with you, the more likely you are to get a periodic speed burst. Lady luck is on your side, right?
Left Behind: Just make it Empathy range. It's already niche as it is.
Technician: Block generator booms 100% of the time at Tier 3 and mask survivor noises that come help you on the gen.
Wake Up: Let it let you see exit gates before the trial is over so you can get into position.
Boil Over: Make the effect more pronounced. Iron Grasp is a hard counter to it and I must wiggle and jiggle.
Pebble: Start the match with one ready.
Solidarity: If another survivor heals a survivor and you weren't involved, gain a token that makes your next healing action a great skill check.
Poised: Give the survivor using it haste for the duration of the scratch mark suppression. 1. It gives you a visible timer on how long you're immune to scratch marks and 2. If you can run out in the open for ten seconds, you probably didn't need the perk anyway.
Flip Flop: Faster recovery, stacks with Unbreakable/Tenacity etc
Buckle up: I still can't tell a difference tbh. Give a survivor endurance upon picking them up.
Babysitter: Let the rescuer stun the killer for 3 seconds if the killer is not looking at you and is in within ~24 yards
Camaraderie: Let it work for first hook too.
Second Wind: Get rid of the heal others requirement. Being one shot on its own is enough of a drawback.
Lucky Break: Suppress grunts of pain too.
Any Means Necessary: Show aura of pallets that have been tossed down.
Breakout: Start the speed boost from 12 meters away. Killers can be hard to chase down unless you're already right up their butt.
Off the Record: Complete rework. It's just Iron Will/Distortion with extra steps. Make it impossible to enter chase with the survivor for the duration of the perk. What that means is no survivor found, no chase music (big double edged sword there btw) no bloodlust No entity blockers on windows. Just a simple chase done...off the record.
Red Herring: Let it work on totems and chests too. Limiting traps to generators is rough when you're down to 2 gens and if you set off this perk you're gonna get a teammate on a gen into a chase while you're picking your nose in a locker.
Blood Pact: Remove obsession requirement. You should both get haste until either you or the healed person get injured again. Reward success.
~~~~~~Killer side~~~~~~
Unnerving Presence: Remove Great Skill check possibility and make the skillchecks like second stage pyramid head cages.
Tinkerer: Bring back the old effect of improving killer add ons.
Overwhelming Presence: Cause items to slip out of survivor's hands occasionally while being used in your terror radius. Will cause a gen explosion if they're using a toolbox.
Overcharge: Load the generator with a static charge that remains on the survivor for thirty seconds. If the survivor is near any generator for more than five seconds during that time, the gen will explode causing a notification. (Doesn't have to damage the gen, just make a boom.)
Fire Up: Increase movement speed by 1% per charge. (That is a lot I know, but nobody is going to use this perk otherwise.)
Hangman's Trick: Make it take longer to unhook the survivor. Get rid of aura reading.
Surge: Let more than basic attacks trigger it and increase the range.
Cruel Limits: Increase the range. A lot.
A lot less killer perks on here than I thought there would be to be honest. I can do something with all the other perks in certain builds.
-
Rift's brought me back out of retirement, and I enjoy the stories. I'm really more of a bloodpoint harvester than a competitor, but I've played for long enough that I'm in a position where if I need to I can usually come out on top. This makes the game kind of relaxing as both survivor and killer.
-
All will be dragged underground by the zombies under the hill.
Dwight Fairfield's Campus Sunnies, Prestige 2 pants, and the dark blue dress shirt. It's my favorite survivor side.
Killer side I like the Trapper's Prestige 3 mask, the Trapper body with the oxygen mask on the back that looks like a T shirt, and the sword with the glowing orange edge. On the start screen with that Trapper outfit there's a hook dangling off the Trapper's belt and it just fits so well.
Lol, I do see a lot of complaints from people that are obviously fairly new players. Man they would have lost there mind over hatch stand-off and BNP popping a gen.
I know right? 4 Sweaty survivors with BNP and no Entity Window blockers. A minute into the game you're down to 1 gen and have to hope your mighty NOED and trapper traps placed by the exit gates are enough to secure victory or you won't get enough points to safety pip.
-
Hag has a Mud Medusa costume. If they're digging through European history you could see stuff like Krampus, and well hell. The sky is the limit.
That said, I'm still waiting on that lawful good alignment costumes. Ones that show duress in serving the Entity.
BBQ lets you see them, but unless you're a huntress with Iri hatchets and godlike aim it does nothing further for you. You still have to go get them.
Jeez guys. Okay. Deathslinger is a killer with a near instant shot, so don't try to lead your shots. Aim where the survivor is and not where it's going to be. Your range isn't infinite either so keep that in mind when going for longer shots. (ie, don't shoot the survivor that's at the edge of your range if they're already injured. You probably won't be able to reel them in time.
Perks for Deathslinger:
Monitor and Abuse: Being able to shoot people that don't know you're there is very spicy.
Corrupt Intervention or Ruin: Deathslinger's weakness is map pressure. He can't be everywhere at once. Make sure you have gen pressure perks.
I'm All Ears: Lets you line up shots before they round the corner.
Make your Choice: A survivor you can one shot with a gun shot is a as good as got.
Discordance/BBQ/Thrilling Tremors: Good to have one of these for finding survivors.
As far as add ons: It depends on how you play him. Are you going to break your chain to injure people? If yes, invest in stun reduction.
If you're trying to capitalize with hits, go for reload and cooldown reduction. I'm fond of the mangled add on.
Something I recommend doing is walking up to the survivor and hitting them, then after the hit animation aim your gun and reel them in if you can. Cuts the chase down to nothing. Save the Best for Last can help with this but it's not necessary.
Calm Spirit meta when?
Every call to nerf NOED and Mori should be threatened with a revert to how they were when the game launched. (NOED just existed and wasn't tied to a totem and Mori didn't require you to be hooked first.)
Well maybe, just maybe I want to play with friends that are on PC? Crazy concept.
Hmm. It's unlikely that PC nerds have friends but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I know I don't have any. In order to play with the PC crowd you must memorize every map and perk in the game, understand all tiles and be able to read all situations at an expert level before you have one hour of playtime. Then you must drink three (3) energy drinks and be immune to all horror this game has to offer, hit every great skill check, instinctually avoid all killer projectiles and dead hard over bear traps out of habit.
It's as easy as clicking a flashlight.
I mean, it's new. I'm a bit social and I want to meet new people (even though I can't talk to them). I'm going to go on a branch and assume just because globes are bad now that they won't always be. Maybe they're adjusting to our playstyles. Being annoyed by them ≠ giving up on them.
I'm not like, actually angry but it's like if you're playing a party game like super smash bros and you're doing a 2v2 and your partner just keeps taunting and goofing off kinda deal. I'm sure they'll take it more seriously in time.
Well, as a killer, I had to step up my game quite a bit, console survivors are waaaay more tryhard (not that's bad, they just are really focused on gens).
As a survivor, don't know man, bad teammates are everywhere, PC, console...
One thing I've noticed survivor side is that globe survivors tend to follow you around like a lost puppy, as opposed to the PC player "One player on every gen" mindset. It would be okay...but then they miss skill checks. Okay, no big deal I can run the killer around. After 1-5 minutes I'll usually go down, then end up in struggle phase and see my team not doing what they're supposed to.
Even if the killer is camping I probably have a pallet/vault nearby and already have an escape route ready, just get me down aaaaaaaaa.
So... After all this time... PC Master Race confirmed????
Indeed. I'm using crossplay because I want fast games in a quantity vs quality mindset, but those globes are bad. Like, consistently bad.
No offense crossplay players, I'm glad you're here but oh my god.
-
If you go back to Tome 1 his entire story is told. He'd rip apart both killer and survivor for a bite of that cinnamon toast crunch, I mean flower.
-
I'm glad they added those offerings, so it's good they exist, but they're all still RNG. I'm not a gambler so if I do use one it's because 'eh' and not 'I need this to happen'.
-
I used an iri button on legion today and kept everyone mending/injured and got accused of tunneling. I was like cool story bro.
-
Discordance is a really, really strong perk. Get Legion for now imo.
-
Shoot yourself with minor spooks to build up an immunity to bigger spooks.
-
If you're still getting familiar with the maps Kate has Windows of Opportunity, plus she's purdy.
Feng has the most cosmetics iirc, plus Lithe and Technician can help early gamers.
Adam and Jane have more advanced player perks, plus they're easy to see unless Adam's wearing a brown trenchcoat.
Just my two cents.
-
I'm the type of person to run Undying and Thrill of the Hunt for the sole purpose of messing with people.
-
-
Objectives. If you're survivor side, get on that gen and cuddle it until either the killer arrives or you finish it. There's 3 other players on your team and if you all jump on that gen instantly, he's just going to find one of you so three gens will pop during your chase.
If you're killer and you need to set up your ability (Hag, Trapper etc) consider perks like Corrupt Intervention.
If you're not, get on survivor tail as fast as you can, and with experience you can down them quickly. Outside of that it's up to the survivors to make mistakes and it's up to you to capitalize on those mistakes.
No yeah, it is a nice idea for sure, but Idk if it being a perk would be a good idea, bc u can’t visually fit clown/oni/(whatever) in lockers, in order to make that work for every killer they would have to do a lot of changes. Maybe a new killer with a side effect like that would work?
Maybe. If they did that though it'd have to be one with multiple power combinations and tricks up their sleeves. What's this killers new power? "He can uh, sit in a locker the whole match." :|
Maybe someone that can travel through lockers. Weaponized hidey holes.
-
I mean that's the point. You're giving up map pressure for a gimmick that requires a survivor to snuggle up next to your locker. It makes lockers scary. It makes lockers unsafe. Where is the killer? I remember last match when Trapper made me brown my pants. What if...
-
Zoomers like shiny objects. Back in my day we had a 2D space and we had two buttons, a start and select button, and a directional pad and we were happy with it.
-
I like using Blood Warden in the top slot, Brutal Strength in the left slot, Overcharge in the right slot and Zanshin Tactics on the bottom slot.
When the perks are arranged like that it looks like someone with a Pyramid on their head. Put it on Pyramid Head for even more Pyramid Head.
As a guy with a hair chest I'm pretty sure I would sound like David getting hooked if that happened.
It's time for your feeding Dwight open wide~
Or maybe the killer is supposed to call for help against bully squads?
I wouldn't even blame the killer if he needed a minute just to take a breather in those situations.
The bird is irrelevant to be honest. That phone booth looks huge compared to the jake? I thought it was the new killer not a survivor.
Oh lol. Yeah it's a pretty big booth. I know the lore says the Entity recreates the world imperfectly so maybe there's a lore reason behind it. If that is the case it's pretty cool.
-
Undying keeps getting underestimated. Ruin/Haunted/Undying/Noed or thrill (or another perk you like) forces survivors off gens to deal with totems which is not something they do at high ranks.
The only downside is that Undying doesn't have a lore tidbit on it so it's instantly less appealing.
-
@csandman1977 said:
Could be the angle, but either the alchemist is short or that phone booth is made for Andre the giant
That's a bird you absolute cutie.
Thank god the true players are keeping an eye out for the important thing. Blessed golden toolbox.
I'll give a quick review:
Survivor: Felix looks great, I like Desperate Measures and will play with it, Visionary is great when you're down to 3 gens and can't for the life find the other two. If you're an item user and you have a perk slot in your build, using the item refresher is a no brainer.
Killer: I don't like how he turns after using his power to slam into something, so it looks like you have to tap a wall with your shoulder and keep going from there. That said mobility is stupid powerful on a killer and I can see him being very, very strong. Blight with Spirit Fury/Enduring/Hex: Palletblock and Hex: Undying is a zoom of doom.
New generators look neat, and I like the model updates on what I've seen so far. I'm so used to everything looking a certain way so until I get used to it stealth players will have a leg up on me.
I'm looking forward to it!
It takes the entirety of the extended Lord of the rings trilogy for him to get Insta moris. Just do gens and loop.
Quoted for truth. Myers does not fit into the gen rush meta. He's too slow, so if Myers guts you like a fish and wipes the team, he could have probably done it faster playing normally in Tier 2.
-
I turned on crossplay and now the ENTIRE WORLD has to deal with me.
Nyeehehehehehe
-
It's a dorky way of saying DLC. As an author I appreciate the dorkiness though.
-
I have a theory that they make killers as powerful as they would be with ultra rare add ons, then slowly strip them down to their base kit and toss increments up there as add ons.
