Oh man I should have added gens but wasn't thinking about it at the time.

Injured survivors in a nutshell
-
I'll also add I have never fully completed a rift. I just don't have the time to play the game that much. But I do get to about ~50 each rift and I play this game about 12-20 hours a month. Hopefully that'll help with your gauging.
-
Do the rift challenges, they give you a big boost. I'm at 27 iirc and my first tier and second tier are fully complete. So I'm guessing if you just do that you'll be at 50ish for 3 and 4. Then it's just playtime. So yes, but you need to get into game. If one sides queues feel long pop on over to the other. You want to be out of those lobbies and into those games.
-
That happened to me when I started playing today. I just clicked play survivor again and it fixed itself.
-
Stop taking it seriously. If you play core survivor the way it is meant to be played you just hold M1 on generators and learn loops to stall the killer. Go for risky saves, learn tiles and how to link them together before you even get into a chase. Make fun of your teammates after they go down in 2 seconds. I don't even care if I survive and just do whatever and I find survivor enjoyable.
-
Huntress needs a homing hatchet addon but they all travel much slower. Give us some variety to the beach ball/planet sized orb hitboxes that smash all life before them.
-
Corrupt Intervention does really help Trapper a lot. What I do is look at the routes I take as survivor and apply traps to those areas when I'm playing Trapper. You can get people put down really well even away from generators if you know the travel routes they take.
Or just run Iridescent stone and purple bag, trap all major buildings and watch the survivors suffer.
-
Nah. I like gathering one of the four flags that run around and planting them in my flag holder.

Lmao you're a jerk

I know that feel. If Leatherface is running Insidious and you go to save the item from the basement there's nothing you can do. No counterplay.
-
You're fine dude. This game works in mysterious ways. You can @ the mods/devs btw.
-
We're out here playing survivors and killers and this Claudette is playing martyr.
Claudie died for your sins every game.
-
Deathslinger nerf: The chain just breaks and the spearhead acts like a bullet, instantly killing the survivor.
-
I'm currently running Botany Knowledge/Self Care/Soul Guard/Borrowed Time on my main. I'd swap out Borrowed time for dead hard but I got tired of pressing E to be exhausted as I fall over on the ground and twitch violently.
-
The important thing to remember is that when your teammate gets picked up, hop into a locker and count to five.
...or if you're like me and too slow to hide your aura, get into the locker as soon as the killer starts looking for people post hook and then leave after the aura goes away and crouch nearby and giggle as the killer starts checking lockers near you.
-
It's a perk to counter killers trying to chase you off the gen. If a killer hooks someone then comes after you, you can just repressed alliance it and stop any shenanigans that would have otherwise occurred.
Alternatively you can wait for a teammate to come help you, trigger it and teabag violently.
-
Lipstick cosmetic on pig when?
-
The blight needs a spin dash to help him gather speed without having to move.
-
I try to 360 every time I see a red stain on my back. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It has never been a real game changer unless you somehow manage to link multiple 360's in a row and if you manage that then you're amazing. No salt allowed.
-
Billy is really rare compared to the old days where it was just him and nurse at red ranks. I mean, he exists, but he ain't what he used to be.
-
Grats on green! Yeah just to echo what other players are saying, the killer capitalizes on your group's weak link until it turns into a 3v1 or 2v1. That's why killers get mad at SWF, they need that weak link to really win.
It just takes time and experience. You'll be purple/red before you know it and then you'll lay out a perfect escape route and plan all the tiles you want to loop together perfectly then get grabbed off a gen by a stealth killer and everyone will think you're a tool.
Bloodpoints are the real goal out here.
-
Good times. The game has definitely gotten more fine tuned, but it had a lot of soul back then too.
Remember chainsaw myers when the body didn't load so it was basically a super fast floating white mask?

If I'm out of position and I have a flashlight I start clicking it to make you think I want you to chase me, but in reality I'm kind of boned and hope you think I want you to chase me so you won't chase me.
Mindgames.

I did have borrowed time, when I tried to get close he stopped m1ing and started revving the chainsaw, he didn't even try to chase.
If it's the new leatherface he'll eventually burnout, but if this is old leatherface then yeah it's kinda a no go. Stinks for the camped survivor but ya did what ya could.
-
If someone had borrowed time they could have gone in and unhooked the survivor during the M1 cooldown, but like everyone else said the best thing you can do is pump out gens. The thing about doing bones really is that if you can't find that last totem that's the one that's going to light up because it's the only one left. If you leave easy to find totems alone you'll find NOED faster.

What name did I call you? Dense? Of course someone who forgets the name of the thread they're writing on is dense. The thread is called "things we hate", so I naturally assumed that you hated the thing you wrote on the thread. I call this hate blind because there is no logical reason to hate the thing, and I like to try to quell any illogical hate I come across. The only thing light hearted about hating things is the understanding of the impact of hate that people in this community seem to have. Sorry if you didn't like being called dense, but I can't find another word that describes your thought process right now. Feel free to correct me if I have been mistaken during any point of this conversation, I wouldn't want to start a "debate" on this "light hearted" thread. :)
Hey you're the same guy that responded to every single post on that other rant thread a few days ago.
Very smol pp energy.
-
High rank huntress is...an experience, that's for sure.
-
I just know that Myers at minimum got a 3k that round. What a mess.
-
Oh god, do I dare do this?
For survivors:
Ambush - When you're in the terror radius of the killer and not in a chase for more than 5 seconds, run up to the killer and press the action key to stun the killer for 5 seconds. This exhaust you. (Cannot be used to free a survivor being carried to a hook. It's meant to be like a horror movie thing where the person evading the killer blindsides the killer and runs off.)
Off the Record: My version. For a minute after getting off the hook, the survivor found reward score and chases do not trigger for the survivor using the perk. This means no entity blocker for windows, no bloodlust etc etc. Just a chase...off the record.
For Killer:
Hangman's Trick: My version. Time to unhook survivors is slowed by 2 or 3 seconds. Red progress bar for unhooks.
Killer Head On: Enter a locker and trigger the insidious effect. Reveals survivor auras within 8 meters of you. If you successfully rush out of a locker while a survivor is front of you they are instantly downed. 10 second cooldown so you don't enter a locker trying to pick up the survivor that just browned their shorts.
-
A garbage can and a garbage can lid. o_o
For a serious answer I'd say I'm fond of the tampered timer that shortens the trap timer and the add on that makes 5 jigsaw boxes spawn.

Salt. I mean, I get it. You lost, and you want to have some semblance of control...but to be honest when I play I have Pyrovision towards the survivors unironically. I imagine you giggling as the Entity devours your soul and then you come at me post game with a SWEATY TRYHARD REEEE. Same with gg ez when I'm on the losing end.
It takes me out of my zen zone.
Oh I also hate when the situation is entirely hopeless. Like, you're in the dying state and the killer just closed the hatch. Feels bad man.

What are those? Is that when you gently pat someone on the back and then they run off? Because for about a year now that's my primary experience when gen grabs.
I know that feel bro.

Just the killer doing his objective. I don't see the problem here. You running directly into a trap off the hook was hilarious though! Once you know you're up against a trapper you really gotta start paying attention.
I swear the biggest buff they ever gave Trapper was adding more killers. Nobody knows the trap spots anymore and it's great.
-
Freddy because his reach is deceptive.
-
I think moris should be like Myer's tombstone piece. Stalk nooblet survivors and right before you pop find the sweaty guy and insta kill him.
-
On survivor I play aggressively. First second in the match I'm on a gen, I know all the pallets are up. I DARE you to find me first. Come on. Do it ya stupid clown.
I used to play sneaky, really enjoyed urban evasion, but I just can't be bothered anymore. I do get little tingles of joy from evading a killer sure, but if you leave the gen I'm on and come back in a few seconds you're getting teabagged and we're gonna have a chase.
Edit: I run healer builds so I'm always at full health if you lose me for about 15 seconds. You can't even break chase or I'll just come back with full hit points.
On killer I don't have the patience to slug and find the fourth, nor the endurance to do a 3 gen situation. I do not camp, nor do I really return to the hook. Your decisive and borrowed are useless against me. However, I'm also really finicky with my chases. If I'm on you for more than 15 seconds or we just broke a pallet I'm leaving you. My fluttery nature makes ruin, trapper traps and hag traps really strong because you're constantly up and off the gens, but if my patrols don't scare you away well enough the survivors have the chance to push gens out and escape.
-
I'd say Nurse has the highest skill ceiling. Spirit just requires you to have a good headset/pair of good ears. Nurse doesn't vanish and leave the survivor guessing. Once they know how many blinks you have and they can time that dead hard you're playing a different game entirely in the chase.
Nurse has more importance on map knowledge and survivor routes. If you know where they're going you can blink ahead of them. Spirit just follows you but at high speeds.
-
I'll play~
It turned into a list of who I like to play/vs vs. who I don't like to play/vs. Weeeeee
-
Do you mean when the crows fly up into the skybox? It's just them disappearing or reappearing. I guess they gave them the gold glow to draw your eyes to them. Some killers use crows to tell if a survivor is there/has been there.

Thank you for the reply, will just check out the subreddit
Oh actually I'll give 4chan a shout out. On the menu list if you go to video game generals and go to catalog and search /assg/ or asymmetrical slasher they're really enthusiastic about loving this game. You can participate without making an account too it's great. (That site really gets a bad rap)
-
I used the Steam forums for this game before this forum existed. I haven't bothered with it for a while but it should still be there. I'd recommend that. Don't touch reddit with a six foot pole, it's censor central and just in general gross (all social media as far as I can tell though).
You also might try the Identity V community. There's a lot of cross over with dead by daylight.
-
I guess they've done a pretty good job so far.

I get these shakes sometimes after playing killer. Even showing what it looks like on screen it's hard to explain.
Survivor is more chill, generally because unless it's an extended chase I'm not the first one down and I'm making fun of my teammates. I just like how sleepy survivor feels. Even if I get sacrificed/mori/whatever the only time it's exciting is if I'm doing a last minute run in to save a hooked survivor and we both make it out and the team psychically connects with each other to block the killer from downing the injured one.
