I will critique, generally cause I'm a clicky clicky teabag boi half the time and I have some experiences.
In the first second you instantly find the Bill and hook him. How long was the early game? How long did it take you to find him? Who knows. Myers early game before first hook is supremely important and you're in T2 at the start. That makes it you really hard to critique.
Gen gets done. (first hook and 2 gens popping is normal, especially with a setup killer) I know stalking highlights a survivor in white but if you know they're there then...why? Its bad for searching.
Dwight shows up and you're too in awe to strike his excellence. That's normal and I don't blame you. He loops you til another gen pops and YOU DON'T STALK EVEN ONCE. Going for Bill again was going for the weak link, which helps but at this point Relentless looks like a good perk. Missing like that will make red rank survivors think you're farming. It's good to lull them into a false sense of security. I also like to see that you put Iron Grasp to good use by hooking Bill immediately instead of taking him to the basement. Galaxy brain play.
Then you find a Feng Min that thinks she's playing a P3 Claudette and really show Relentless should be a perk you use. That's not an insult either. You need it until you're used to the swing distance. (Also hitting your obsession drained your STBFL stacks. You should have just stalked her there.
Meg acts like a Meg and you get your first Tier 3 at 2 gens remaining. Big oof.
Weak link Bill goes down for good, but did you really need to pop on him? You could have saved it for a stronger survivor like Dwight.
Now you might say "But I got Dwight at the end of that Tier 3!" Yeah but saving your Tier 3 for actual threats can be...wait wait...DID YOU DOWN DWIGHT WITH IRON GRASP RIGHT NEXT TO THE BASEMENT AND YET AGAIN NOT USE THE BASEMENT? Why even run the perk? Good lord.
You hang around Dwight, but that's fair since all the survivors are there which means they're not on comms and coordinating saves and you admit subconsciously that Dwight is the best player there, and pop T3 again. Miss miss miss.
Meg runs loops like a Meg with expected results. Then you waste the rest of your T3 by kicking gens instead of hunting survivors. Run Infectious Fright if you can't find people, it helps you snowball.
Feng again wishes to the deepest recesses of her heart that she was a P3 Claudette and gets found easily. One only shudders to imagine what would happen if she did gens instead of crouching around the map. She then expertly runs out into absolutely nothing and goes down.
You then watch the hook with Feng on it. I understand. A player like that will be hard to catch again so she does need a lot of attention.
Then you start a chase with Meg, and instead of following her out of the house with the big red trail of scratch marks you check upstairs. Megs are known masterminds so she may have been ready to loop you for the remainder of the game so I understand your uncertainty there.
Now at this point you've kicked the upstairs gen about 3 or 4 times now. Forget that. Chase the survivor down the hole and down them. They get considerable distance if you dally.
You begin another chase with Dwight who has not healed. He wants to make sure he can use his Dead Hard in case you go after him with Tier 3 again which I understand. A normal Myers would be building up his stalk for those sweet one shots. One shots that you...have put little effort into. Dwight starts smart but leaves his loop to run into absolutely nothing and doesn't even dead hard. I am still firm he's the best player on the team. Are you sure these guys are toxic? I don't think so Tim. They're kinda chill.
You're down to 1 gen and you hook Dwight again on the closest hook instead of going to the basement. Do you really think Galaxy Brain Meg and Fengdette with her mystical crouching skills are going to block you?
You max out stalk on Fengdette and continue to stalk her for no gain until Meg pulls Dwight off the hook. Now you stalk Dwight as he leaves and get Full T3 again ready to pop. That's not too bad. So we're in another Meg chase. You then hit Meg and give her a sprint burst instead of popping T3 and instantly downing her. Okay sure why not. Meg in all of her toxicity capitalizes on this sprint burst by running into absolutely nothing. You then again refuse to use the basement despite having Iron Grasp. I know it smells bad down there but you're not getting your mileage out of that perk.
You somehow get a final pinch of stalk off of Fengdette and pop T3...when everyone's injured. K. For the team Dwight finishes the last gen and keeps you busy while his team escapes, like a leader should. He Dead Hard's so gloriously that legends will be told forever after of how good it was. You're now at 4 STBFL stacks. Not even getting half the mileage out of your perk. Switch it out.
Since you're in T3 the survivors know you're coming, and one of the doors is open. That means the other survivor should...open the other door? Definitely a toxic team on comms. Right.
Meg exercises while generously allowing you enough stalk (that you didn't take at all during the match) to T3 and search for the final survivor.
Fengdette gives you bloodpoints for hitting her at the exit gate, practicing her Claudette wannabe moves.
2 Kills 2 escapes is balanced, and you see how easy it is to pip for survivor. In my heart I know there are depip squads out there that will absolutely slam an M1 Killer like Myers and it makes me want to give you a hug, pat your head and shield you from the horrors the Entity has to offer.
You did ask for critique though so...thar ya go nerd.

The trick is to drop the pallet as soon as you get to the loop. Alternatively you can drop the pallet just a little bit so it ends up in a triangle shape. Pyramid Head will be drawn into it and get stuck the rest of the match.
-
I just go into blood point harvesting mode and stop caring if I win or lose. If I get facecamped though (rare) I'll just kill myself on hook almost immediately if I'm not in the mood.
-
I wouldn't mind giving Calm Spirit that buff, you're putting down a more powerful perk to run it anyway. Plus Alert does the same thing for longer.
-
Thank god. Monstrous Shrine was one of those killer perks that you really had to watch out for.
-
At red ranks you have to keep filling your Evader emblem or you risk depipping, and you have to go for hook saves to keep your altruism up. Red rank survivors are always doing something that generates points, no time to hide.
The most skillful thing is knowing how to reliable run a killer since it's another person. You have to think ahead. Logically, what would the killer do to get me? I'm going to counter that. Do they respect pallets? Can I tell what perks they're running? Etc.
You have to know when to play your cards and when to hold them. Gens put you in a vulnerable position most of the time. Do you have a route ready to run? What if the killer comes from that way, do you have a plan in the other direction? Are you ready for Myers to grab you off your gen while you're planning?
Knowing tiles helps, but that's more rote memorization than skill. A lot of it just comes with experience.
-
Behavior's the publisher for the mobile version too aren't they? They're probably trying different things with different people. I'd expect cosmetic crossovers at some point. Identity V has anime crossovers all the time.

I actually have a hard time killing Dwight. Not from a gameplay standpoint, but he just looks so pathetic in his stances and movements. Even my Myers looks at him and thinks: Should I? Really?
Steve, though, there is something arrogant in Steve. He's dead. Dead. Dead. Dead. 😁
Killing Dwight feels like I'm killing the hero of Dead by Daylight. This is kinda geeky but I get this vibe every time I vs. Dwight, especially when I'm playing Trapper. (vid is 4 minutes long btw) Edit: Still sad he's not heroic in the lore they gave him. Even Ace seems heroic atm lore wise. I want our nervous leader to be a leader.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDZl1fD74WYI think that's fair though. Steve has babysitter perks. He wants you after him. He seems like he's one of the survivors that would mentally break the most if you killed everyone but him though. It's good to be merciful and end him quickly.
-
I main Dweet. I got hooked playing Trapper and Dwight pulled me off it and showed me the survivor ropes so we've been buddies ever since.
(Sorry for all the times I got you killed btw Dwight.)
-
The game must have thought you were farming and automatically added the survivors as friends to your friends list.
That's how you build a community!
-
I've had to rescue two survivors so far from the hill and it has eaten me once. I know they're fixing it next patch but like, how does that happen? Do they add collision to tiles sometimes and this was an oopsie or did something get deleted?
-
If there's one thing about this game that I have learned, if you have to force it you're just gonna get browned on.
-
This game has become a completionist nightmare lmao

What builds and add-ons would you recommend for Ghostface?
I'm not an add on dependant player. I level up to 50, use all browns, then all yellows, then all greens, then all purples, then reds then I prestige. For builds though definitely make sure you have discordance on it. If they don't have spine chill it's easy to pull someone off a generator.
I'm fond of things like Nemesis, Rancor and Deathbound, but if you hate loops you might invest in enduring/brutal and such. I'm all ears is okay if you turn off your red glow so they run into you but I never use it. Hope this helps!
-
This is the patrician content I come here for.
-
Nah, it's nothing new but fortunately it's really rare.
I think what you're supposed to do is report them in game and send that video to them. It'll help out.
They're serving punch down the hall if you wanna chat with folks though. Half of them are hangin' around.
-
Honk honk
-
Ghostface has a constant flow all game. Myers has a slow start (Tier 1) and slow end (Cannot stalk survivors anymore) but his mid game is one of the most intense and there's the off chance he may just straight out kill you with a tombstone piece.
If a team is constantly watching you Ghostface feels like a trapper without any traps. If they watch you as Myers, watch them back.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/187350/why-are-pc-players-so-sweaty
Because we've been trained by toxic pc swf. When I play against console guys, I play very relaxed, but not everyone has my sense of honor and sportsmanship.
Also this. I'm used to very tight precise loops from survivors and everything nasty you can think of. A lot of console players panic and don't do loops efficiently. Some do, but not a lot.
-
When I see this icon my hands start twitching. Adrenaline starts pumping. Eagles cry and waves crash upon the shores. A globe? In my crossplay!? Knowing my opponent is shivering in fear, clutching his joycon controllers hones my skills. Sharpens my resolve.
I clutch my mouse gently, but firmly. Ready to left click at any moment and when the moment comes, I press the space bar. (that's to pick up survivors, for all those uninitiated folk) The globes begin to crack. The globes begin to fall.
At the end of the day, I know I caused it all.
gg I type. To no one that can see it. For all they know is the soft glow of the television set, where I once appeared. Where I ruled.
-
Forever Freddy. When gens slow to a crawl around 2 gens left if you have less than 4 people alive the game might as well be over then unless the runner still has a lot of pallets left and knows how to use them. It's just endurance in a game with limited resources.
I always put Ultra rare huntress on the same level as old backrev Billy. The only difference here is if Billy misses you can start a loop, if huntress misses she'll M1 you. Teammates stop taking the game seriously against iri too so that doesn't help.
Spirit isn't that bad for me. The trick is against a Spirit that knows what they're doing is...play like a rank 20. She'll expect mindgames etc. Nope. Just run forward (away) as soon as you see her. Just keep going. Just run. Just. Go. Don't try to mindgame her, let her mindgame herself.
If basement bubba stays in the basement when all the gens are done he's fine, but the ones that run out with NOED ready suck.
-
Killer with a secret offering = me vaulting and attempting to run you for 5 gens. Fite me but not irl but in game.
-
I found out about buffed Bubba the hard way. I was looping the truck in haddonfield in front of the basement and I had the pallet available but didn't think Leatherface could catch me.
Oops.

Soul guard + unbreakable?hmmm intersting
Some people like running it with unbreakable and I get it since it fits in to a build with ds, but if I'm slugged and need to get up usually there's a hex in play (NOED or Ruin are the big two if they're gone someone can usually pick me up). Plus if I do need to get picked up and the killer is tailing them I can just absorb the hit and either start a chase or go lick my wounds.
My Dwight is a pain in the rear to keep down.
-
This is why I run soul guard. Sure picking yourself up when a hex is in play is good, but if you've ever been picked up and immediately downed again by the killer, you understand. I'm in love with Soul Guard. I will marry Soul Guard and have little Borrowed Time children with it.
-
My sensitivity is maxed. Helps you 360 the killer as a survivor and helps you deal with 360s as a killer. Also helps me look around casually. In some games low sensitivity makes you more accurate sure, but in this one I like to be able to cover a lot of space with very little mouse movement.
Edit: Tight loops is taking advantage of the fact survivor pill hitbox is smaller than killer pill hitbox. Run into the terrain but not enough to slow yourself down. Like, go diagonal but keep going forward. You're trying to take advantage of your smaller collision. This lets you move around loops faster than the killer who normally outspeeds you. Or just use dead hard for distance if you're cutting it too close to a pallet/window.

Doing all the gens, unhooking safely and not getting caught til end and they leave you....
Yep. The minute you go down to NOED you know right then and there nobody's gonna look for the totem. It's straight out the exit gate.
-
Everyone wanted to grab the Entity's Entitties and ever since then it has been a bloody mess.
-
I'd rather have your survivors. At least I can dead hard and get to a loop in that situation. Trade ya.
-
I'm where you get Jake's shirt, like tier 30. I've never finished a rift though, I'm too busy. I enjoy the game, but yeah.
-
OP is accurate. You really have nothing better to do other than sit on gens. You just plot a path to go when the killer comes and sit on the gen until/if the killer comes. Self care needs a....band-aid fix.
-
I only really watch True and Otz when they come up in my youtube recommendations. I like Monto too but I'm usually watching youtube before I go to sleep and Monto is all about those LOUD NOISES.
-
Trapper. I used to love my Dwight vs Trapper matches, but over time I saw the Trapper less and less. Sure Trapper's not the strongest, but every other killer I know how to run tiles with etc. There's always a feeling in the back of my mind if I do that vs Trapper he's just gonna say nope. Sorry.
-
Same thing I do every chapter pinky. Get all the teachables, do the adepts, then add the killer/survivor to my ever expanding rotation.
-
The way I see it is that the more tomes/rifts come to pass, the more books will be available to nooblets with more challenges. They'll chow on those and get bloodpoint boosts doing those. It would be nice to sell some add ons though.
-
Tell her to get out of there. That's not where survivors are supposed to be.
-
A survivor that just got unhooked and is injured, bolting away from you because they're afraid of the killer.
-
All 4 survivors can't escape if you eat one every match.
-
I love this community. This poll turned out to be educational too!

Foolish demi god I look down at you Down from above your silly pride has inflated your ego to belive in such false lies
You can still be hooked and that will be your punishment. Hooked for all eternity for that is the will of me the sky Dwight
All hail Sky Dwight.
All hail!
-
Why change it? You're right? Now if you'll excuse me I need to go dead hard into a wall.
-
Bonus unicorn
-
Memes. Despite being at high ranks I rarely get into a "I have to win" mindset. Rounds can be so silly.
-
Yes. A lot of experienced survivors already have a route planned to take you on, and don't care if they survive the match or not. If they're running you around already completed generators there's a reason for that: The other survivors are doing generators and the runner does not want them disturbed.
Do what you wish with this information.
-
Reasonable. I stopped using Dead Hard because you'd use it, get hit then twitch violently on the ground and be exhausted. Everyone knows it has been an issue for a long time.
To my understanding they might be fixing it though so we'll see. They live in Canada and winter is approaching. Their only real option is to gorge on game code or go outside and deal with snow and bears. I know which I would rather deal with.
-
I've been playing with red rank crossplay since they let it go on. I don't really see a reason to turn it off though. I think the console players are adjusting to PC players a bit but when I spin a killer I can tell they're on console and having trouble with precise aiming.
-
Learn the range on your killer instinct (or as I call it the red spider web) Sometimes you can see someone in the web but you can't reach them with the frenzy meter you have available to you. Sometimes it's easier to just cancel out of it, eat the stun and go after someone that's bleeding out.
There's two behaviors I see done a lot against Legion. The survivor will instantly begin to mend as soon as you hit them and start chasing someone else, and will drop a pallet and immediate revault or spin to try to make you miss your frenzy stab. (Also getting stunned drops you out of frenzy)
One thing I like to do is hit a survivor that I know is going to instantly mend as soon as I run away, go into a tile nearby that has pallets/vaults etc, cancel out of your power and now chase the mending survivor. They can't run to the tile you just came out of and most of the time it forces them out of position. Experiment with it and have fun.
-
Oh wow, that makes me want to yell the French word for egg.
-
My Myers uses Furtive/Nemesis/Deathbound/Rancor paired with the green add on that increases stalk on obsession. It's a spicy build.
-
Why have I never thought about doing this? This is amazing.
