This is supposed to be a joke 😂. Idk if you were meant to be joking either. But I used dead hard in a game on PS4 and it teleported me behind the killer 😂. I really wanted to dead hard to the pallet. 😭
Shame, its not a bad idea for a perk, especially if its on a Survivor with supernatural like connections (like Cheryl).

Is this like Tracer's Blink from Overwatch? If so, can you recover a Health State from doing it?

I can easily blame demo given he's on sale and all the people who flock to him have no idea how to use him, because of this they play like they've never even reached rank 12.
Not Demo's fault it's on sale or that the license got pulled. Also like what ppl said above, I'll take a Demo anyday over the same 4-6 Red Ranks killers.
-
When I first saw it I thought of perks like Monstrous Shrine, MYC and Furtive Chase- perks that directly affect the Hooked or Rescuing Survivor. I came up with a couple to get into the idea of what Scourge Hooks could be like.
SCOURGE HOOK: IN THE SPIDER'S WEB
Your traps take their toll on those who dare to escape.
- At the beginning of the Trial, 4 Hooks will be randomly selected to be Scourge Hooks. You see their Auras in white.
- When a Survivor is unhooked from a Scourge Hook, they suffer from the Hindered and Exhausted Status effects for 10/15/20s (Hindered: -15%) as well as the Broken status effect for 60s.
SCOURGE HOOK: SELF-MUTILATION
Anyone who dares take your trophies will pay for their greed.
- At the start of the Trial, 4 Hooks are selected to be Scourge Hooks. You see their Auras in white.
- When a Survivor rescues another Survivor from a Scourge Hook, they become injured. If they are already injured, they suffer from a Deep Wound. After rescuing the Survivor, their Aura is revealed for 6s.
-
Wasn't he going off of scary/deviousness factors? Smh his honorable mentions were Ghostface, Demogorgon and Freddy. If you want scary and devious he should've brought up Hag and Twins
-
It's the best one so far. Perfectly describes Clown, hope people like him more bc of it (at least from a lore perspective).
-
How else is the Killer supposed to deal with SWFs and broken perks? The player isn't enjoying it, at least someone is.
-

Man you put a lot of work into that, and it shows. Well done. Puts my garbage to shame.
Nah, yours aint garbage. I just have a lot of free time and +1000hrs in game, so I got a good feel of what should/shouldn't work in game. Even then, still could always use fine tuning.
-
Pyr-A-Mid Head: 4 syllables
Pin-head: 2 syllables
PH goes to Pyramid Head, because he's been around longer and has a 'longer' to pronounce name.

Holy ***** ****** ******* ****** ****** that's a lot of text. Didn't read but if you legit came up with all that, I salute you for the effort.
I didn't write most of the Survivor lore- just edited the bio from the fandom wiki and added the last paragraph. Other than that, it's all original.
-
@lethargicsauce said:
Will edit accordingly, although personally I don't see how Ready, Set, Go! is like Dark Sense. I would align Ready, Set, Go! more with a perk like Lethal Pursuer, but on the survivor side, as Dark sense reveals the killer, not generators.
My bad, I meant Deja Vu. That one show the 3 closest Gens for 60s at the start of the Trial and each time a Gen is completed.
-
To be honest about your concept, it's kind of weak. Not trying to be mean, but there's a lot of points which would do little to nothing in game.
2 of your Survivor perks are already in game. Ready, Set Go is a worse version of
Dark SenseDeja Vu and Fearless is a weaker version of Iron Will.Your Hex is also very weak, Exposed will not come into play unless the Killer is on top of the Survivor and the cooldown is unnecessary (for such a small effect).
The Broken from Stone Cold Killer will be negated by Deep Wound, since it will take up the time of the Broken effect (especially if the Survivor runs away from the Killer).
The Gaze ability is short range compared to other Killers, and providing buffs to the Survivors is counterintuitive if its meant to down them quickly. Finally, Gorgon Charge should be activated separately- no other Alt. attack requires a lunge to happen first, and more importantly its a much weaker version of Demogorgon's Shred.
I like the idea of a medusa but your perks and power needs work, especially in the stats department.
-
Don't worry, Pinhead will help you enjoy your suffering.
-
Writing this as I read through your concept:
I like the power but I feel like one selecting 1 artifact at the start hinders the potential. Perhaps there's a way for the Zealot to switch between artifacts depending on the situation? There's some potential for combos/differing playstyles with this, similar to old Doctor's switch stance abilites or Plague's Vile/Corrupt Purge. IMO the Whispers addons should be basekit and perhaps changed to affect how quickly you can change between Artifacts.
Mori sounds really cool! A Killer using actual magic, not twisted dark powers like others, would be a great addition to the game.
Perks are original, which is nice. For Eternal Darkness however, be more clear on how exactly the increased tokens will benefit individually. Sanity's Requiem sounds like a weaker version of Vigil, which is already kind of a joke perk; I would make it stronger (shorten duration of status effects even more) or have a new effect like lessening the effectiveness of status effects. The Tome seems like a cool item, but needs some more info to see how long/how many times it can be used.
Overall not a bad job for your first concept! I like the lore the most, we could always use more diversity in Killer backstories in DBD. I hope you get better at and enjoy the game more!
-
Who confirmed this? I don't want to get my hopes up and be disappointed
-
Jesus Christ no. DBD is the Hall of Fame of Horror, we have standards. If we just did collaborations with whoever we'd turn into Fortnite, Fall Guys or Among Us- a once fun game that's been turned cash cow and does whatever the heck milks the most money out of its players.
At the very furthest we could do collabs with horror hybrids like what @ThiccBudhha mentioned above, but once we start putting non-horror related concepts into a horror game its a slippery slope to becoming a terrible game.
-
Tried to quote my concept but got an error for 'too much data' lol. Here's the link: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/272901/springtrap-chapter-concept-ai-suits#latest
"Springtrap picks up a downed Survivor so they are eye to eye. The animatronic Killer screams in their face before biting down on their head hard, the jaws noticably crunching down on the head bit by bit as the Survivor screams and kicks. Eventually, the Survivor dies and Springtrap drops them, stepping on their chest and over the corpse before returning to regular gameplay."
-
You're all wrong. The next killer is Spring-
*dies from angry forum users breaking into my house and beating me to death*
-
Great job dude! I remember when I first got them all, about 2 months from the RE chapter's release. By far the hardest ones were Left Behind, Evil Incarnate, Power Moves, and a couple of Adepts like Trickster and Plague.

Tomorrow probably
We may get a trailer tomorrow, but the release will be Tuesday. I just hope once the Chapter goes live they bring back the old type of Spotlight trailers, with the cool narrator and the detailed explanation of perks, characters and maps.
-
This is the best summary of a movie I've heard about. You're on par with Olaf or Ant-Man's friend XD
I'm hyped for the next Chapter, assuming everyone's theories and leaks are right. I hope the devs stay closer to the pain and agony section rather than kinky masochists though- I came for the Spirit but stayed for the Hag.
-
EDIT 3: Added ANIMATIONS, more specific information of Suit AI and behavior, changed Spring-Bonnie addon to Fredbear Plush (same effect) and grammar edits.
EDIT 4: Added CHARMS, some minor edits to the power and animations text, formatting and grammar changes.

Jesus man, you're still going? If you don't like it just ignore it. It's fine that you want to express dislike towards these posts, but you're clearly not changing my opinion, and I'm not even gonna try to change yours. Just move on tho man. Someone else just said that if you don't like these posts ignore them instead of bumping them back up lol.
At this point ignore him- he's a troll that feeds off FNAF hate. The more you talk to him the more he'll keep going, but if you ignore him it's like not watering a flower- it'll wither away and you won't have to worry about it anymore.

There's one big thing (aside from many small ones) that disqualifies fnaf from dbd:
No feasible gameplay.
I've seen dozens of threads like this, some musing about perks, morie, outfits, maps design... but rarely gameplay.
Lately we had three killers in a row that were quite lackluster. Although you can view Nemesis as a beginner's killer, trickster and twins are still low tier, regardless how you play.
But they all bring something to the table. springy? what would he do? he has nothing. fnaf is all stress and jumpscares, so how would you NOT have him be a carbon copy of Ghostie? Hag? Michael?
I have seen a few ideas for his powers but they all... made him a plain, dull iWin button. invisible stealth killer with an insta down (this commonly popped up) sometimes immune to spinechill? who combines wraiths cloaking (thus seeing survivors) with spirit's insta uncloak?
how is that fun?
There's good ideas for so many other characters, horror and other franchises alike that would make for interesting gameplay. but for fnaf I have yet to see something that wouldn't insist on some godmode, unbestable killer.
Silent Hill is a psychological horror game- while there's some aspects of the games that can/do fit in DBD, Pyramid Head isn't anywhere near as strong in DBD as he is in SH. It all comes down to creativity.
Some people find stealth fun, but I agree with you that I like something else. I just made a Springtrap concept that doesn't involve stealth or instadown gameplay (as a part of the base power), its just a matter of how creative you can get with a concept (though admittedly, I used some ideas from other Killers).
The hardest part about Springtrap in DBD, IMO, is the lore- FNAF lore is all over the place, contradicts itself, and can only be found in the most niche places. To lay it out as a cohesive story for DBD in a Killer bio is rough, but once its down I think people will realize how this 'kid's game' really belongs as a horror game and a DBD contender.
-
I've said this in another thread, but whenever people say FNAF is a kids game I remind them: lots of kids play GTA and Call of Duty, and lots of adults play Pokémon and Animal Crossing. People like what they like, so don't ruin it for them. As for the kids, its really their parents fault letting them play mature games- developers can only do so much.
You're absolutely right on the lore BTW. Legion is a group of rebel teens who committed 1 murder. Killers like Plague and Wraith unknowingly murdered dozens/hundreds, making them less evil than a serial child killer. Springtrap's lore is on par with Myers, Clown, and Freddy for how screwed up and truly 'evil' it is. You think the aesthetic doesn't fit DBD either? The game where we have Chicken and Elephant clown, a K-Pop idol as a Killer, Ronnie the Rabbit outfits for Legion (cmon, these are practically the same as FNAF) as well as the various Survivor outfits that have no place being in a horror game. We stopped treating this as a 'seriously scary' game a long time ago.
There is so much potential when FNAF crosses over with DBD, they're arguably the most popular horror games of our time next to Silent Hill and Resident Evil (at least the most popular non-Japan based horror game). Cosmetics for multiple killers, not just Springtrap, are possible with their powers and abilities.
-
EDIT: Added ADDONS and BIOGRAPHY/LORE
EDIT 2: Added COSMETICS, SCORING EVENTS and OVERVIEW, detailed information about Bite attacks, some edits to how some Addons worked and grammar edits
-
Jesus this thread is a train wreck
-
The only thing I can think of for Pinhead is that he has a hook attack like Roadhog from OW.

just elaborate man, dont be so unintelligent.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2424251#Comment_2424251
ermm what issue is being sidestepped here? already the game rewards the parts of gameplay I mentioned, im just saying putting more emphasis on one thing over the other, but again, what are you thinking about here, what is the issue and how is it being side stepped and how do you solve it by actually fixing it?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2424256#Comment_2424256
Im at a loss for words, somehow you read this as a killer nerf or so and you want to turn this into a "us vs them" debate by just nonsensically thinking you can mirror this? you do realise this is about making killer matches more fun and less punishing/stressful right?
Just pointing out that the point of the game is to sacrifice and kill the Survivors. Its the Killer's objective. This isn't an Us vs Them so much as this is the point of the game. Rewarding the act of trying to catch and sacrifice? Sorry, most people don't like/straight up hate participation trophies. You either did your objective or didn't.
-
Here's an idea: There should also be less focus on doing generators and opening exit gates. Survivors should care more about the running away and not getting hit part. It's fine if you don't escape or not get hooked as long as you escaped a lot of chases and performed well in not getting hit often and keeping up pressure by healing your teammates.
-
I've seen FNAF supporters get hate and toxicity more often than seen them giving it to others. That being said, Pinhead will be a good addition to DBD even if its not what a lot of people wanted.
Candyman, Springtrap, and maybe even Pennywise will come to DBD one day. It's a matter of patience and community demand, because we all know all three of them have changed the way horror is seen in one way or another. That is what makes them eligible to enter the 'Hall of Fame of Horror'.
-
Sure- better to understand why Pinhead is coming to DBD and to get an idea for what his power and/or perks will be. Just watch the first though, lots of people say that the sequels are bad.
-
Now this is a proper Trickster XD

@HealsBadMan said:
Hey guys, I wrote about these two in other threads, but never noticed that there was a specific place for them here, so I'm putting them below. Let me know what you think!
Killer: The Soldier
TR: 32m Height: Tall
Movement Speed: 115%
Weapon: Bowie Knife
Power: Guerilla Tactics
Years of war have trained the Soldier in the ways of stealth and silent destruction. Press the 2nd Active Ability Button to crouch, hold to crawl. While crouching, movement speed is slightly decreased and the TR is halved (~110%). While crawling, movement speed is moderately deceased and the Soldier has no TR (~100%).
Special Attack: Throwing Knife
Press the Active Ability button to throw a knife at a Survivor (the Soldier has 6 knives). Hitting a Survivor with the knife injures them for one health state. The knife has an effective range of 18m due to its curve. The Soldier gains one Knife back every 10 seconds.
Special Ability: Camouflage
While crouching, The Soldier's uniform blends in with his surroundings (not invisibility but color changing uniform/face paint). While crawling, the Soldier also adds foliage and loses the sounds of his movement and breathing (you can still hear grass and environmental noises caused by his movement).
Perks:
1) Espionage:
You gather intelligence and knowledge about your enemies before beginning the hunt. At the start of the trial, see the auras of all Survivors for 4/6/8 seconds. See the auras of items on the ground, and when standing over them see the item's rarity and addons, as well as the aura of the Survivor who held it last for 5 seconds. When seeing a Survivor's aura this way, Espionage goes on a 30 second cooldown.
2) Demilitarized Zone
Set a perimeter to guard you territory. After kicking a generator, it and the closest two generators are highlighted in yellow. If a Survivor starts working on one of these generators or enters the area inside them, their aura is shown to the Killer. If the Killer kicks one of the generators or enters the area inside them, Demilitarized Zone goes onto a 120/100/80 second cooldown.
3) Conscription
Force an enemy to do your bidding. You become Obsessed with one Survivor. After hitting your Obsession once or hitting a non-Obsession twice, Conscription gains a token, up to five tokens. A token is consumed whenever:
When the Obsession hits a skill check while heals a Survivor, the skill check is ignored and the healing progression is reset to zero.
When the Obsession hits a skill check while repairing a Generator, the Generator explodes as if they missed a Skill Check.
-------
The Captain (for lack of a better name), a zombie or ghost pirate.
TR: 32m Height: Tall
Movement Speed: 115%
Weapon: Cursed Cutlass
Map: A pirate ship, maybe docks on a beach where the ship is the main building and a Killer Shack on the beach.
Power: Neptune's Bane
As the former scourge of the seven seas, the Captain has been given powers of traversal and stealth that he had used raiding merchant ships and enemy pirates. Press the Active Ability Button to sink into the ground, losing his TR. While underground, the Captain can move faster than normal and under obstacles in the map, but cannot attack until he rises above ground (Active Ability button). While underground, Survivors can hear ghostly moans mapwide. When emerging from the ground, keep the Undetectable status effect for a few seconds. The Captain can only stay below ground for ~30s before needing to reemerge, and gains his power back at 1 charge per second (30 charges).
Special Ability: Buried Treasure
When the Captain has at least half of his charges of his power while above ground, press the Active Ability button when near an object to send it below ground, unable for Survivors to interact with it. This ability can only be used once every 90 seconds. The object will resurface at different times depending on what it was:
-Items- Permanent
-Chests- 90 seconds
-Totems- 60 seconds (30 for a Hex totem)
-Pallets- 45 seconds
-Generators- 20 seconds
Perks:
1) Marooned
You become obsessed with one Survivor.
When the Obsession performs any cooperative actions with/to another Survivor, their auras are revealed for 4/5/6 seconds. The Obsession performs all cooperative actions 25% slower.
2) Hex: No Quarter
While this Hex is active, when Survivors spend a minimum of 25/20/15 seconds working on a generator, the generator's aura is highlighted in yellow until Survivors stop repairing the generator. When a Survivor stops repairing a generator, Hex: No Quarter goes onto a 30 second cooldown.
3) Dead Man's Chest
Any Survivor that interacts with a chest will scream and reveal their location to the Killer. They will also be affected by the Exposed status effect as long as they are unlocking the chest, This effect persists for 6/8/10 seconds after unlocking/stoppping to unlock a chest.
'1) Espionage:
You gather intelligence and knowledge about your enemies before beginning the hunt. At the start of the trial, see the auras of all Survivors for 4/6/8 seconds. See the auras of items on the ground, and when standing over them see the item's rarity and addons, as well as the aura of the Survivor who held it last for 5 seconds. When seeing a Survivor's aura this way, Espionage goes on a 30 second cooldown.'
I was so stoked that Lethal Pursuer is almost exactly what I had envisioned for this perk- even more now that its such a popular choice for Killers!
EDIT: I guess I kind of predicted Trickster too with a soldier that throws knives, but lets be honest: no one could've really predicted Trickster and how he was received.

I'm not saying it's not Hellraiser, i'm saying we still can't be 100% certain, as BHVR very well could be baiting the community. Springtrap went to Hell, thus that could explain the 'HELL' we see in the audio.
Whether it's Hellraiser or FNAF, I really don't care, as long as the Killer's powers and perks are interesting. As biased as I am towards FNAF (as I know [REDACTED] all about Hellraiser) I won't complain if Hellraiser makes it.
That's a real stretch- I want FNAF more than all other theories out there right now, but with the music spectrograph spelling HELL and letters spelling RAISE there's practically no chance of Springtrap at this point :(
-
Imposter kills crewmate during underwater expedition (circa 2241, colorized).
-
OK, it's probably Pinhead at this point.
There's not a new leak or evidence that points to this, the devs just reenabled SBMM so it's clear they want us to suffer in agonizing pain.

Ok was not going to bring that up as I personally just don't give a ######### about him supporting this or the other. Not everyone needs to support/feel the same about every sensitive area. IMO even if he came out and said it direct it should not effect the material. Just like the Jeepers Creepers ######### everyone talks about....Did the creeper do the #########? NO, I loved Jeepers and what some ######### did behind the scenes should ruin the material. SO long story short no that's not the reason. The reason is the level of popular/iconic the rest of the licences are just bigger and everyone knows them. Walk down your street and ask your neighbors (not your neighbors kids) and ask them who Springtrap is....Now ask them if they know who Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Chucky, IT, Ghostface, TCM/bubba are and you will see what I am talking about.
I just brought those up bc they're popular points of argument- I'm with you on not caring :p
I'll admit I was also confused as to why Springtrap and not the original animatronics, but the reason is simple. The animatronics are possessed by the souls of dead children, except Springtrap is actually William Afton, AKA the man who made the animatronics and killed said children. As the mastermind behind the evil, its natural that he's who the Entity will pick.

Hearing someone say "Pinhead is meh" triggers me slightly but I understand we all have our favourites. I somewhat grew up with Hellraiser so my heart is in it.
I was obsessed with Silent Hill growing up and boom, we got Pyramid Head. I could've cried when I saw that my favourite games were crossing over.
I actually like the idea of Springtrap, not so much the rest of FNaF. An animatronic would be a one of a kind Killer in DbD. However, if Pinhead is on the table as a possibility, screw Springtrap. If they can get Pyramid Head then Hellraiser is a big possibility, he's a horror icon. Springtrap would draw in a certain audience (I know the game already has kids playing it but FNaF would no doubt bring some more), Hellraiser would bring in another type of audience, the same type of audience that loves Halloween, NOES, Saw, Texas chainsaw massacre etc.
I don't see FNaF as being on the same level as Hellraiser as a horror franchise. If it's Springtrap, I think he'd be really neat, but again, beside Pinhead? There isn't any competition in my mind.
Yeah sorry lol. Nothing personal, I just never watched or found Hellraiser interesting. I'll watch it now that it's a popular theory though :)

The H is real. Look at my post "Dead Dawg and H theory" to understand why.
Not to mention that H doesn't appear in game.
Picture thanks to @DwarvenTavern , I don't know how to link to his original comment. You can kinda see the H, and apparently this was taken today. So likely not a real letter, since the others do not appear ingame. Additionally:

I was not a fan of Pinhead neither. I also wasn't a fan of Jason. They both belong in DBD though without a doubt. FNaF/Springtrap does not. I know a lot won't like that but maybe down the road when more icons have been added/confirmed they can't be added for licencing issues. Sure I would rather have Penny/Chucky/Xenomorph/etc but if it's a choice between Pinhead and Springs it obvious who I choose.
Why not? It's an incredibly popular horror game franchise, and the backstory is like the Clown: childish and out of place on the surface, screwed up and evil behind the scenes. If its the community (LGBT issues, furries, toxic community, etc.) those are already in DBD and other games.
-
FNAF will not be the death of DBD. Face it, next to Silent Hill and Resident Evil its one of the biggest horror game franchises out there. I'm not a fan but if DBD is the 'Hall of Fame of Horror' then it would be fitting for FNAF into enter the Entity's realm
That being said Pinhead wouldn't be a bad pick either, and hopefully Candyman will enter the fray soon.

so wait, which survivor would be coming in 5.3.0 then? Surely we wouldn't get a Candyman survivor without Candyman himself? Or am I misunderstanding what you're saying?
No idea, there's no leaks saying anything about what the Survivor could be other than 'original' but take it with a grain of salt, its months away.
-
The leaks suggest the Killer is released in update 5.2.0 and the Survivor in 5.3.0. This means they're likely unrelated, which is part of the evidence suggesting FNAF and Candyman
-
"And are never referenced as who they are in game."
The Ghost Face, The Nemesis. Also the letter H was shot down, it appears ingame and there was another tweet stating that there's no significant letter in that pic of the saloon.

You'd think they'd do that while promoting all the SAW stuff- 2x Gideon appearance, Bloodhunt on mobile, sale on SAW cosmetics and such.
