I feel like the new “content” might be an All-Kill map. That would be exciting!
The Devs just stated they aren't focusing on a Trickster/All-Kill map in their Q&A yesterday. More likely a new Tome.

Legion and GF chase music would be arguably the best in game. GF would have something creepy and panic inducing, Legion would have awesome rock/heavy metal vibes. I can't wait :D
As far as their reworks, devs really need to pull through. 80% of GF addons need reworking or straight buffs, and Legion as a whole needs a huge buff pass if not rework. Legion 3.0, lets go.

Coming to the forums after rage quitting 'because' you were being 'unfairly targeted' (tunneled) for one game does not really display a position of strength in any regard.
I agree- the OP should know too :)

You may not want to hear this, but you know how chains break at the weakest link? It's a popular Killer mindset, tunnel and get the weakling out first to hurt the entire team. Not saying you're weak, but the rest of your team might be really good.

AN UPDATE FOR ALL:

Here are the so far confirmed changes from the PTB to live servers!
Pretty good changes, I think the range could be nerfed a bit more because even if the overlap doesn't stack, it could still overlap in some small maps. Ideally there's also totem spawn changes to make them more hidden, but oh well. Maybe if Survivors have the same problem as Killers the devs will focus more on the issue :p

I've made a couple of Killer Concepts with super cool powers I want to see in game- a blind Killer whose got a wide-spread Demo lunge and lots of tracking built-in, an Egyptian pharaoh who travels between lockers and a radioactive Killer that messes with Survivor's movement and makes them see all kinds of hallucinations (Auras, notifications, TR, etc.).

This is like everything else in the game, it's monitored to see if it's an actual issue or not. As of right now I am not aware of any plans to change the way this works - the perk is working as it's designed to.
There's always going to be perks that are stronger on some characters than on others, it doesn't necessarily make something an issue.
Thank you! I love that Hoarder has good synergy with Pinhead, I feel like they're the best perk-Killer combo since Hag and MYC. Besides, a D-Tier perk on a C-Tier Killer making an A/B-Tier build is far from broken.

My favorite thing is the wide variety of Killers and playstyles, especially with the 4v1 mechanic so when I lose I never lose due to braindead teammates. My least favorite thing is the cesspool of a community this and most games have.

I stopped caring about rank and fair matchmaking when I switched from Overwatch to this game. If I have to meme around and let sweaty tryhards spam flashies for a few games so I can run what I want, so be it.
EDIT: Posted before I finished- run meme builds and try to get super hard personal achievements. Right now I'm trying to get MoM to activate, but I'm only using No Mither and OoO. No items, addons or offerings either. In solo queue.

Forgettable being not good, not horrible and not memeable?
This Is Not Happening, Wake Up!, Dance With Me, Breakdown, Calm Spirit, Poised, Buckle Up and Fast Track.
Overwhelming Presence. (I'm a Killer main who loves variety, but I struggle to find a situation where I'd ever take this perk over something like Hoarder or Franklin's).

Survivor Option to BAN Killers from your next game (but only 1)
Starcraft 2 you can ban maps, overwatch you can ban heros etc. etc. Not a new feature in games. And more variety is needed in this game.
Option to ban say pin-head because your last 20 games have been against a super unbalanced killer (i.e. not being able to do box while being smashed by chains) until you patch the game properly. I think thats alot more fun for people.
Because the current strategy is release a killer or survivor thats very OP and get everyone to purchase them then nerf them in future. I just think it would be alot more fun to have choice in this game. Maybe a player has had 15 spirits in a row. Give them an option to say no the next game.
I don't know how SC bans work so I won't comment on them.
LOL bans, they have +120 characters, there's so much variety that a couple bans barely scratches the surface. It's still playable and fun with that.
Overwatch toyed with a ban system- random heroes were banned by the DEVS, not players. Even then people didn't like it so bans only affect OWL now (and maybe top 500? It's been a minute).
We have 24-25 Killers, only a third of whom (and that's optimistic) see regular gameplay at high tier gameplay. A ban would be terrible, especially if Survivors had the advantage seeing as how all Survivors are the same character with reskins/audio differences. Not to mention the fact that Survivors are the power role in this game- their actions dictate the speed of a match, their mistakes are more forgiveable than the Killer's and they have the use of comms and teamwork in a match which all but the best Killers can overcome. A ban on top of all that? Unforgiveable.

The delusion thinking keys and old mori’s are comparable lol
You know, you're right- they weren't comparable. At least with old Moris you had to mori each Survivor individually hunting them down, meanwhile 1 Key could allow all four Survivors escape with no consequences. Hatch could also spawn earlier if Survivors died, while Moris required a hook and down of each Survivor.

If it's licensed again, i think Chucky has a good chance to be the next killer, because new Chucky series coming out on 12 October, it is a pretty good timing.
Also Cote said that Chucky could absolutely beat you up and carry you soo that also helps.
I really hope we will get such iconic character in this game, where all horror movie icons are, he honestly deserves the spot.
Plus they could add his phrases like they did with Pinhead, which would be awesome aswell. He also has a real power to work with, and is very unique.
So the license situation is a bit up in the air, as I know here's what's going on:
DBD Devs said they want to do 2 licenses a year, with Res. Evil and Hellraiser we've already done our 2 licenses so Ch. 23 and 24 should be original. Next license will (most likely) be on the 6th Annivesary.
Jason lawsuit is over (Victor Miller won), but he doesn't own adult Jason which is who we want in DBD. Furthermore, Horror Inc. still has some control over the franchise so they have to hash out details about royalties and licensing rights. It'd be a miracle if Jason comes to DBD within a year, I'll start expecting him around Anniversary 7.
Other licenses are floating around, FNAF supposedly isn't doing licenses for this year but who knows what will happen. Candyman has been delayed, but could be a huge reveal for Anniversary 6. The devs could find a way to make Chucky work but there hasn't been any news or rumors of collaborations so we'll see.

@WexlerWendigo said:
And people have the absolute gall to say the devs are survivor sided, when they’ve been obsessed with spirit for years. Half the anniversary quotes were about her and it took teeth being pulled to get her reworked.
Remember when Moris were nerfed nearly a year ago and they just got to keys?
Goes both ways bucko

Learn how to loop at Killer Shack and different jungle gyms. As others are saying, Windows of Opportunity is a great perk for learning where vaults and pallets spawn, when you memorize them you can take the perk off and know where to go. Other perks like Spine Chill can help with running early if a Killer it coming (especially stealth killers) and Exhaustion perks like Dead Hard or Sprint Burst are pretty good if you learn how to use them well. What will help the most however is watching VODs on how to run specific jungle gyms, knowing how to identify strong vs weak loops and how to loop each Killer (running a Huntress on Killer Shack is very different than running Spirit on it).

I think maybe the reason the Boons can overwrite Hexes is that otherwise you could turn the Boon perks into basically empty perk slots.
Consider this: Plaything + any other Hex or 3 Hex perks + Haunted Grounds. This way you can turn every single totem into a Hex. If Boons were not able to overwrite Hexes then in those situations the Survivors are unable to use half their perks at all (if they run both Boons, or potentially all their perks if 2 more are added in the future). Plaything gives them a chance to use them early, but Haunted Grounds + 3 Hexes? Nothing you can do. Game starts, your Boons are unusable. Nothing you can do about it, and that's very unfun.
The simplest solution would be to just increase the number of totems. There are more possible spawns than totems, so this should be easy.
Or, the much cooler idea: Add a 6th totem to the basement. For example right in the middle of the hooks. This totem would never be able to become a Hex. Now you always have a known spot for your Bless totem that you can find easily. But because it's in the basement it's risky.
Bonus! This totem could be used for a Monstrous Shrine rework. Make it so that if the killer has Monstrous Shrine while the basement totem is unblessed the Killer gets a powerup. This totem would be blessable even without a Boon (the totem would glow blue but do nothing else, unless you have a Boon perk of course). Now you have this cool back and forth where the Survivors need to go into the basement to disable Monstrous Shrine and the killer wants to go there to disable the Bless to reactivate Monstrous Shrine. And it gives a target that is always available for Boons.
Turn Boons into empty perk slots? Oh no! We sure wouldn't want valuable perks to become permanently disabled for the rest of the match when the other side deactivates them! /s
Increasing the amount of totems wouldn't work either, as then Boons could more easily overlap and provide those broken effects that are super boosted. Maybe that'll go in live patch but still bad. What they can do is have the Bless timer increase when turning a Hex into a Boon, or maybe have the Hex and Boon effects active at the same time, where the Killer and Survivor can permanently destroy the Totem to negate both effects.

The slight buff to Bite the Bullet is fine but Flashbang and Rookie Spirit need no change- they're fine as is for what they do.

Pretty cool concept, the armor/hook state combined with an AI roaming is very similar to an idea I had for my FNAF concept (as well as a Haunted status effect). I think the power is good and works really well, the perks are well thought out. I think Ransack could be a bit stronger by increasing the range (it won't have any effect on healthy survivors) but other than that, great job!

Some of my newest Chapter Concepts!
Friday the 13th: For those who don't know, the lawsuit is now (nearly) over! While it will still be a while before Jason comes into the Fog for people to see and fear him, it is more likely than ever with Victor Miller done for. This thread includes a couple of fun ideas on how everyone's favorite Slasher would work in the Fog.
Chapter ??- Friday the 13th KILLER: The Slasher (Jason Voorhees) KILLER LORE/BACKGROUND: The legend of Jason Voorhees begins with his supposed death in 1957. The boy had been born with mental and physical deformities, which made him both a target for bullies and overprotected by his mother. Un...Curse of Chaos: Mummies are a bit overdone and are just an old type of zombie, but you know what isn't? Egyptian warrior and magician, a disciple of chaos who yearns to control the world and will destroy anything or anyone who gets in his way.
Chapter??- Curse of Chaos KILLER: The Pharaoh KILLER LORE/BACKGROUND: Lord Sethemshut was born to one of the most high and powerful families in Egypt. Always living in the lap of luxury, Sethemshut had the world at his fingertips- fresh fruits and meats whenever he desired, crowds of worshipp...Nuclear Nightmare: This is by far my favorite concept so far, as it brings a new genre of horror into DBD that was previously not well thought out: SciFi. Besides Demogorgon (who's not long for this world) we don't have any true scifi Killers because most of them are futuristic or alien in someway, both have been frowned upon by BHVR so far. This guy is neither- a Russian scientist who survives a Chernobyl-like incident becomes a wraith who hunts down and destroys all in his path... The Ghost will turn all to dust.
CHAPTER ??: NUCLEAR NIGHTMARE KILLER: The Ghost KILLER LORE/BACKGROUND: Pyotr Turgenev grew up listening to the ghost stories of his grandfather, who scared him to death every night before bed. When he tried to get his parents to make him stop, they just laughed and told him it would grow charac...Let me know what you all think!

IMO Second Wind and Babysitter are fine as is. Second Wind has been fine since its last change and the new changes to Babysitter make it more viable (though not meta, but not all perks need to be meta). Only Camaraderie needs changing, but not a full rework: the idea is good but needs changes. I wrote a thread on it here.
@HealsBadMan said:
I was doing Adept Steve today and it got me thinking about Camaraderie, and how it's not used at all (from my experience at Red Ranks with ~650hrs in game). The idea behind it is a good one, but its too niche imo. Here's the current effect:
Life has taught you the importance of friendship which has given you strength.
While you are on the Hook in the Struggle Phase, Camaraderie activates.
If another Survivor is within 16 metres of your Hook while Camaraderie is activated, the Struggle Phase timer is paused for 26/30/34 seconds.
It only works for one hook state, for the Survivor who has it equipped alone. If another Survivor comes within 16m and doesn't immediately save the hooked person, then one of two things is happening- the Killer is camping, or is being looped right next to the hook. I think it's in need of a buff. Here's what I propose:
While you or another Survivor is on the Hook, Camaraderie activates.
If another Survivor is within 16 metres of your Hook, or if you are within 16 metres of the hooked Survivor while Camaraderie is activated, the Entity's progression is paused for 12/16/20 seconds.
Hooked Survivors can only be affected by one Camaraderie effect while they are on the Hook.
In terms of activation, I think this perk should be like Kindred- only working if you or another Survivor is hooked. It would make the perk more usable and helpful for solo survivors, as they can use it both for alturism and survival. It also applies to both first and second states of hook sacrifice, so the perk becomes even more usable- however, this perk cannot be abused, else it be too powerful.
Only one Camaraderie effect can affect a Hooked Survivor at a time: to prevent a full team from running it and making each Hook State an entire minute longer.
Only one Camaraderie effect can affect a Hooked Survivor while they are on the Hook: If Camaraderie is used to pause the first hook state, it will not pause the second hook state if the Hooked Survivor is still on the hook when they progress.
Finally, a nerf to the pause timer- if the perk becomes more usable, the timer should be nerfed. I settled on 12/16/20 seconds, but this could be increased depending on balance. Alternatively, the timer could be nerfed slightly and the range could also be slightly shortened to 14 or 12m.
What do y'all think? I appreciate any feedback!
TL;DR It's just giving Camaraderie the same treatment as Kindred, making it work regardless if you're hooked or near a hooked Survivor, applied on both Hook states, not spammable via SWFs and reducing the pause time to compensate.

I like maximizing Dead Man's Switch on Doc, I think he uses it better than any other Killer. Run it with Furtive Chase, Oppression and Unnerving Presence with double TR addons (Calm I think? It's been a while).

If they weren't blessing the totem then they'd straight up just destroy it anyway?
Ofcourse killers are looking for any reason to be angry at everything even when they don't even know what it'll do, sounds about dbd.
Of course, because Boons being the opposite of Hexes they have to be much stronger/reusable. Lets also not forget about the new 32m 4.4m/s Killer or murdering Spirit more brutally than her father did.
Boons don't just destroy the totem, it straight up turns it into strong buffs. Killers cant choose where their Hexes spawn, nor can they be reactivated (on the same Totem even). I'm all for necessary buffs/nerfs but this is ridiculous. Boons need to be much weaker than everyone's expecting for this to be warranted.
-
Really?
Boons can be put on Dull or Hex Totems, while Killers have no way of reigniting or helping their Hexes. Perks like Plaything or NOED are just SOL, why cleanse when you could just bring a Boon and screw the Killer over twice as much?
I knew Boons would be horrible for Killer but I didn't think they'd be a straight up FU.

I despised deathslinger more than any other killer as survivor but they should throw the old man a bone and make him 115% if they’re gonna do the whole 32m TR thing
That or increase his range to 24m, so its still 75% of his TR.
Spirit and Deathslinger needed tweaks, not sledgehammer nerfs. They've both gone down a couple tiers if these changes go live w/o any help.

What happens with NOED and Ruin Undying if survivors take all totems?
Survivors needs to Bless their Totems in match, Ruin/Undying is activated right at the start.
NOED has the same conditions, if there's no Dulls remaining it wont activate. Not sure if it'll activate after breaking a Boon in the EGC though, probably not but we'll see.

I like everything about this update except Slinger TR nerf. Most TR reducing perks makes him a 'stealth' ranged killer for 2m of leeway, buffing him to a 32m TR Killer while leaving him as 4.4m/s is terrible. I hope he gets something to compensate the large difference like going to 4.6m/s or increasing his speargun range.
Plague changes are amazing, can never complain when she gets good buffs.
Key changes: f-ing hype, thank god!
Boon Totems: Exciting, glad that I was correct about some things (Killer detection, 1 Boon Totem per Survivor, etc.), hope they're strong but not meta so Killer's aren't more split for pressure. I really like that the Killer can turn Boons into Dulls, makes Hexes like NOED and Plaything still viable (and hopefully some other perks like Third Seal get a similar treatment).
Perk Updates: All great, Built To Last is amazing now and No Mither may once be useful in some situations (combo with Unbreakable, Flip-Flop and Power Struggle?). Hope there's a few more like Monstrous Shrine but at this point this update is already near-perfect.
Addons Update: Maybe more changes for Survivor addons too? BNP is the main offender, everything else is either good or could use minor tweaks.
-
I think VHS has more hope than most other 4v1 horror games, but to be a worthy DBD competitor they need to start pushing out content like crazy and make the fanbase huge ASAP.
-
Survivor: Blast Mine, Flashbang, DS and Head On. Just make the Killer rage quit.
Killer: Hag with Franklin's, Hoarder, MYC and Corrupt. The first two are good for trapping and the other two are very good on Hag.

Blast Mine, Flashbang, Decisive Strike and Head On.
Surveillance, Surge, Oppression and Eruption.

Yet another masterpiece. I love the survivor perks, add-ons, power, lore, and pretty much everything else. My one tiny gripe is that Chain Reaction is sort of a different yet weaker Eruption. Unless there's something I'm missing, I think that Chain Reaction could use a little buff to get it to where it needs to be. But like I said, poggers stuff as always. Keep doin the great work you do yo!
Thanks! This is probably my favorite idea so far, I've never seen something like this suggested so far and I think its the most likely type of Killer for an original sci-fi Killer (devs have said they don't like futuristic or space-themed killers, this is neither). Chain Reaction is actually different as Eruption is more like a trap for multiple Gens, whereas Rxn is more akin to a poor man's PGTW. I could see a buff to it but that's something that would need gameplay (I think), probably would increase the amnt of regression per Token.
@lethargicsauce said:
I still don't get how BHVR hasn't responded to or at least seen your concepts yet. Stuff's bussin.
