  • The game I played where I did absolutely everything without getting detected once. I unhooked people, I healed people, I somehow found the time to do three gens as well and we eventually made it to one gen remaining with only one other person still alive.

The killer slugged them, hoping I would come out of hiding. I did and I got the slug back on their feet right as the killer came back, which was the first time he had seen me all game. He downed me, hooked me, facecamped me and made it very clear to the other survivor that I was not to be unhooked. They tried to unhook me anyway and he grabbed them. I died and he gave the other survivor hatch.

In the chat he called me out for being a trash stealth gamer. I was so angry, because that made it seem as though all I had done that game was pretend to be a bush. In reality, I had played so well, constantly scrambling to keep the team from falling apart while also doing some gens, all the while remaining hidden, and I got punished for it. I didn't play anymore that evening.

  • This has only happened twice to me so far. It's a bit confusing with the audio playing but other than that, I'm okay with the game deciding I didn't actually get the hit.

  • I do believe you're wrong. It combines all of one person's boon perks into one totem, not an entire team's perks.

I kept having that problem too. I mainly relied on Blast Mine to help me out there, but got a fair amount of killers with Ruin or NOED who disregarded gens altogether. I had to bully a baby Freddy to get anywhere with it, which I didn't want to do. 😥

Oh no. 😓 I understand though, I had to chain blind the same guy at a pallet multiple times in one game to get to the 12/20 I'm at now. I'm sure he hated me. 😅

DBD challenges tend to be pretty miserable. Some are a fun little challenge or something simple that isn't too crazy, but the rest are either bizarre challenges that are a headache to deal with or painfully long grinds. Stun or blind the killer 20 times took me like 3 days to complete lol

I feel you on that 20 stun/blinds challenge. I keep facing the ranged type killers that refuse to break pallets. Heck, they refuse to even go near pallets.

i recognise the artist but im trying to remember if its the one where they cuddle or the one where [REDACTED]

Oh it's definitely the [REDACTED]. xD

  • I recognize where your profile picture on Steam is from. :P

  • You can keep playing without getting reset to the limit of 1 million. I played a couple of games while sitting at 1.5 million last week and nothing weird happened.

  • A friend of mine got the game and refunded it within thirty minutes because they couldn't handle the motion sickness of playing killer. I was sad.

  • I played on it last night as killer. Had two people left who were too scared to do gens. Good luck finding them LOL.

  • I once played with a Claudette and a Kate called Mlaudette Corel and Date Kenson and I don't know why but I loved them.

If you keep the box for too long, chains will start spawning. If your solving the box, chains shouldn't attack you, so this might be a bug.

Best way to get it out of the ballpark, from my experience, is to knock it out once the killer is carrying someone to a hook, is in a chase, or at the start of the match.

Also keep in mind that it is the first few days, the post I made was for first impressions so do please take it with a grain of salt.

Thanks for the tip! It does feel unfair that chains can interrupt the box solving, so I hope that's a bug. I guess I just need to face him more and practise.

  • I've been getting destroyed by Pinhead game after game with ~4 gens remaining each time so for me personally he doesn't need to perform any better. :')

I straight up don't know how to solve the puzzlebox when the random chains that appear keep interrupting me. I don't know how to dodge his portal chain. And I (eventually) go down every time I try to solve the puzzlebox and if I'm on death hook it feels like I effectively just removed myself from the game by summoning him towards me, but if no one else is doing the box...

    I need help. <3

  • I played only one game against him so far and it was not an enjoyable experience. Might be because I don't understand him yet, but anything I tried to do kept getting interrupted by random chains attacking me. I decided to solve the box to get rid of that, but I was injured and he spawned right next to me. Not a short distance away from me, like I saw in videos from streamers, but literally on my booty.

  • I hadn't seen Spirit in forever until somewhere last week. The match starts, I make my way over to a gen, when I suddenly hear the sound of a phasing Spirit, followed by the sound of a disconnecting survivor.

    Great.

I, for one, hope to not be matched with freshly plucked spuds anymore.

I don't know why but this made me snort. Thank you, sir.

  • I'm not going to add anything useful to the discussion, but I wanted to say that it's very tough to read one giant paragraph like that.

This is not being passionate. They say everything that is not that robotic rabbit is lame.

    This is toxic.

How is this thread not toxic?

  • All of these theories actually kinda make sense so now I've gotten my hopes up for a FNAF chapter. I don't want to be disappointed. :')

Anything that is changing the game from its default settings or settings available on all platforms is "cheating"

Even filters and low graphics provides advantages and visual benefits so I guess it depends. People that use it will say no, people that cant would say yes

I can use it and I still say yes. :p

  • I don't know about y'all but David looks even better to me now than he already did. They even gave him a little bit of chest hair.

    squeals in gay

  • I'm prestiging David and don't have any decent perks, so I was actually using Visionary and Open Handed for lack of better perks. And even then I couldn't find my way to the gens I was seeing. Fun was not had.

  • I had fps drops when trying to use my tentacle on pc yesterday, making me miss pretty much all of them. Ugh.

  • I'm not going to convince you of something I don't believe in myself. :^)

  • I don't even think it was a 'shadow' buff. I actively remember them changing it so that you can only see Bloodwarden when you're actually trying to walk out. I don't remember where I got that information from though.

  • I don't know why but Nemesis is the most fun I've had as killer in ages. I don't even mind losing as long as I can slap people with my tentacle and straight up punch them in the face.

    Lot of people are experiencing...

•Gens not being able to be worked on

    •Pallets disappearing only visually

    •Constant FPS drop

•Terrible lag even with good connection

•Killer gets a DC forcing survivors to restart app

•Consistent DC when touching a gen around 80%

Few others as well. Just the most constant ones.

Now that you mention it, I did see some dropped pallets briefly vanish and then reappear yesterday.

Nothing rng about it lol, just gotta learn the timing but sadly cant do customs so it's rare to practice as often as I'd like. Just need to see it once so I can see the frames lol

Well, that person refused to believe they mistimed the blind and insisted I got lucky. You know how it be.

  • I might sound dumb but, other than not being able to play on the new map, what issues are people talking about? My game's been just fine.

  • Now that you mention it, someone tried to blind me during a pick-up yesterday and they missed the timing ever so slightly. I was blinded but still carrying the survivor. Got flamed for it in the post-game chat too.

hOw DoEs It FeEl To WiN bY rNg?

I got it on my 2nd game, because dbd crashed as I was carrying the last survivor to the hook on my 1st :')

I would have been so mad. :')

  • I hate Tinkerer on any killer. Yesterday I faced a Trapper with Tinkerer in solo queue and we were unable to finish the last gen because of it. There was only two of us left and nothing we could do.

  • I thought it was going to be bad but since it's all I have on Nemesis at the moment, I'm running it. It got me in chase with a guy that spawned super close to me within like five seconds of the game starting. I can appreciate this perk.

  • I got my Adept Nemesis on my very first game as Nemesis because the survivors were potatoes. Two of them randomly died on second hook while I was on the other side of the map. I'll take it though. 🙃

  • @Dhurl421 said:

Solo que man here. You have the greatest counter to tinkerer without picking up the game: Eyes.

If you have headphones (this game is next to unplayable without headphones) you can still hear the killer walking / running your way.

And it's one of the few perks to make survivor scary when you know they have it.

    This perk is fine.

You're kinda missing the point though. People aren't complaining about the undetectable part of the perk, they are complaining about it being extremely difficult to complete gens in solo queue when the killer has Tinkerer combined with Ruin/Undying/Pop.

  • All of the above, basically. I'm usually either dead or already healthy when it procs.

  • If you mean the one where you have to teleport and hit each of the four survivors in one game, I randomly got that while trying for Adept. In Midwich, I believe. They were all being super altruistic and triggering my traps near the hook.

And I know excessively trapping the hook sucks, but I can't play Hag for sh*t and it was the only way I didn't get destroyed. I'm glad it's over.

  • I just got Adept Hag an hour ago. I'm a rank 1 killer so it was hell. I got demolished most tries, and the games where it was close I got ruthless killer where all I needed was a tiny bit more Chaser... It was infuriating and I will gladly never touch Hag again.

  • Yes, I believe it contains a clue as to where to find the golden toolbox on Hawkins.

  • I think he looks a lot better and will gladly continue maining him alongside Felix. I really don't understand what everyone's complaining about.

  • Played one game of Demogorgon and accidentally demolished a bunch of rank 15s. I thought to myself 'yo, this is a great time to go for Adept Demogorgon'.

So I load up my Demo with just his three perks, thinking I'd be in for an easy time. I WAS WRONG. The second game started with me losing two gens (and soon after, a third) without even finding my first chase. Managed to get the Adept in the end but it was the sweatiest I've had to play in weeks.

I'm talking hardcore tunneling and slugging for hatch, two things I like to avoid.

  • I honestly can't stand reading comments on Twitter anymore. I've been scrolling for five minutes now and I haven't read a single positive comment about David's rework yet. I think he looks great...

Same goes for the other reworks btw, not a single positive comment.

I like playing Twins but they are very clunky, unreliable, difficult to play and can be very easily countered but survivors refuse to do these counters. Genuinely, I'm convinced people don't even know you can kick Victor after he misses, let alone after a successful pounce.

If people actually used the counters like looping dropped pallets, sticking in pairs, healing, going in lockers, running Victor around round objects, kicking Victor, I would enjoy them a lot less. They remind me of Bubba if nobody pre-dropped pallets when he's revving.

It's more like I have no idea how to counter them because I've played against a whole three Twins in my entire life.

Sloppy Butcher (I know it's healing slowdown, but that's extremely valuable as well), Surge, Corrupt Intervention, Ruin (even by itself), and lots and lots of slugging. If you down someone and there's someone else there, take the chase. My current Trapper build is actually Surge/Sloppy/Infectious Fright.

    @DawnMad said:

Corrupt is your best choice by far. It is completely passive and has a huge effect on matches. It makes up for bad spawns, lack of mobility, having to waste time setting up etc.

Surge is a good choice on M1 killers but unless it's a killer that can catch up or end chases quickly Surge isn't amazing. Many times survivors will run a mile away from the generator after getting hit the first time.

Ruin + Undying and Pop aren't very good for low mobility killers but they still are good choices if you are planning to dedicate yourself to a single half of the map. This works well on maps like Glenvale where you are better off completely ignoring the half with back to back to back loops.

Sloppy is an okay choice but it is more of a compliment than anything else. It is good at slowing the game down but it doesn't give you control over the generators unlike the other perks.

    Thank you both. :)

  • @MadLordJack said:

The fact that you're getting away with using Pop on slow AF m1 killers is rather telling. Surge? Absolutely. Pop? No, you're relying on survivors to screw up a fair bit and 3-gen themselves while you massively drag out the trial.

Out of curiosity, which gen protection perks would you recommend on slow M1 killers?

  • I've been using Fixated with Iron Will lately and it works great against everyone. You break line of sight, you start walking, they lose you.

    I love it.

You can tell when ppl are in a swf. They were very coordinated. My point is that it's unfair if red ranks can swf with one green/yellow rank and still get yellow/green rank killer.

I understand what you mean now. That does suck if their entire goal is to sh*t on low rank killers. However, my brother barely plays this game, so he's like rank 16. Whenever I play with him, we get matched up against rank 15-20 killers that are no match for me (rank 3 survivor currently). Our goal is just to play together, I'm not going out of my way to find easy games.

I don't think there's an easy solution to this.

  • Not sure what you mean by 'willingly queueing up with rank 11s as red/purple rank'. It's not like anyone has any say in who they get matched with?

  • As a survivor, I'm a stealthy boi that actually does gens and goes for saves. I'm often the guy that's not been hooked yet while everyone else is on death hook, just doing gens in the background. I'm aware I should probably take a hook state or two to make sure my team survives longer, but I don't trust other people to save me and I hate getting found on purpose.

As a killer, I try to play nice unless survivors actively try to annoy me (I'm thinking clicky clicky). I also tend to spread the hooks instead of focusing on two or three people, which may not be the smartest move.
