As a Felix main, I'm high-key buying that outfit. Immediately.
-
I got this randomly in solo queue as well, someone had a key and we all happened to be in a chase near the hatch. I'm really happy I got it randomly like this
because I have no friends. Also you'd need to have done all five gens for the hatch to appear with everyone still alive so this in no way proves keys are broken. The killer has already horribly lost the game at that point.

yep, same for totems if you didn't know that either
I did not. :D That's nice to know.
-
You can puke on dropped items? :o
-
My biggest issue with DS was shown about a week ago in a game against a well-coordinated group, where I managed to down someone at a gen they were working on within their 1 minute DS window, and I could not pick them up, nor could I leave them because there were teammates around and they'd be up and running again in no time. This was also one of my last three gens so I had to defend it, but also had to defend my other two gens. I felt helpless.
-
I don't know if I'm allowed to say this but I believe it's been leaked that the next rift will only require 500xp per rift fragment instead of 800xp, which almost cuts the number of games you need to play in half. That would mean that just completing all the challenges would be enough to get to tier 70.
I live for this change. I hope it's true.

I had a game like this two days ago. I took the leader to the basement, as suggested. The lemmings did follow. All four of them died a horrible death in the basement. I got sweared at in French in the post-game chat. All was well.
And yes I was playing Bubba.
-
I really like your idea of not knowing what state the other players are in until you physically see them and I agree that it would make the game feel a lot more immersive and interesting, but people will still be playing with voice chat and the discrepancy between those players and solo queue players will be even bigger.

Key maybe? It might just need to be an aura item.
I also don't use keys. I actually don't use items all that often, only when I have challenges, and even then I stick to medkits and flashlights. The important thing is it worked for you and now people who try it at least have a way of completing it.

######### WORKED MATE.... Thank you so much! It makes a lot of sense now that you state that, but it isn't want the challenge says to do...
I'm really glad it worked out for you in the end! Only thing that confuses me is that I have that challenge completed and I'm certain I didn't do it with a map (because I never use maps). Oh well. It's a mystery, haha.
-
Seeing how the challenge appears to be bugged, I'm now even more sure a killer disconnecting is supposed to give you credit for 'escape' challenges.
-
I don't know about the losing addons thing, but I'm 99% sure I've had challenges completed before that required me to escape because the killer DC'd.

Idk... I get the feeling that people hate shirtless David as well (I usually wear the 4th year anniversary crown). I get camped, tunneled, slapped on hook, etc. I personally don't like Feng.
Yesterday I had a very interesting game as shirtless David where my teammate Nancy asked me in the lobby if she could lick me, then in-game proceeded to crouch over to me and move her head up and down. It was intriguing, to say the least. More on topic: I do notice that killers like to switch chase to the shirtless David, if they see him.
Personally, I hate going against graffiti Nea or any Feng.

My build is almost always Spine Chill, Kindred, Dead Hard and a perk of choice (Resilience, Iron Will, Fixated, Small Game, ...). Guess I'm part of the 10%?
-
I haven't encountered a single game-breaking bug in the past month so I find it hard to believe you've encountered so many you just have to DC.

I get a little over 1 point each game playing either side so i typically play like 7 games to level up one tier.
I havent bought any tiers and finished all challenges for this tome so far and am at 59. I wouldn't say I'm that good either honestly. I play most days for a couple hours (not every day). I work a 40 hour a week professional job and am hanging out with people most days/nights not playing the game
With all that said it's defonetly possible to finish it. I do think thought rifts should be faster to level up and if not faster, they shouldn't be time limited. (I hate time limited unlocks a lot)
The max xp you can get per game is 600 and you need 800 for one rift fragment, so I don't see how you could get 10 rift fragments in 7 games. It's more like ~15 games.

@Chchchcheryl said:
It only took me the minimum three games, I got three 12 hook games in a row though so it was quite lucky
I guess I just have to keep trying. :p It's just that I constantly face red ranks now and they often outplay me.

I agree, it breaks the game as it stands. That's why I suggest they make it balanced so then you wouldn't be breaking the game. Your ethical play is noble but unshared by most SWF groups. Why not let you use voice chat and then balance instead of break the game?
I see your point. If the game was indeed balanced around it, I would probably use voice chat. Then again, you'd be at a disadvantage for not using voice chat, and not everybody wants to do that.
-
Yeah basically what Aven said, that map has some really nasty totem spawns. I once found a totem there hidden in a hole in the wall behind a bush behind some logs. I would have never found it without my map.
-
Your first solution would be unfair to players like me, who like to play with friends but refuse to use voice chat because it breaks the game.
-
Great. The second bugged challenge within the same level of the tome. THIS GAME MAN.

You're forgetting about the people who play swf without comms.
Some people realise comms are bs but don't want to be stuck with unreliable solo teammates
I was going to comment this as well. My brother and I always play without voice chat because we feel it breaks the game.
-
I just came back here to say that I completed this challenge today by using a Dead Dawg Saloon offering (basement spawned in main building).
Big shoutout to the Meg who went down on the complete opposite end of the map and stopped struggling when she realized where I was going. Then she waited in the basement after she was unhooked so I could hook her again and even let me hook her a third time. Say what you want about this community but there's some nice people out there. <3

Probably because I did all the challenges? I play most days and some days I'll just play a single game while others I play a couple hours.
I tend to play like 3-5 games a day, but never have hour long sessions of DbD. It's probably why I'm always miles behind on everyone. 😅
-
How on earth are you at 38. :') I'm at like... 18, and I've been playing every day. Fml lol.

Yeah I even had trouble doing this challenge as well, the most tedious one so far has to be the totems one too.
I actually enjoyed the totem one because I did it with Small Game equipped and found hex totems every single game. That made me feel at least a little useful. Haven't gotten to Heroic Cause yet but I'm already dreading it...
-
We all get these games, my man. Perhaps even that Bubba had just had a bad game and wanted to take out some frustration on the survivors. You just have to brush it off, perhaps play something else until you've cooled down, and give the game another go another time. :)

Exactly. Anyone who has enough hours in survivor almost has a 6th sense for a NOED build anyway, so you just hold the last gen and knock out all the totems and then pop it.
It's funny because it's true. There's been many games where I just knew the killer was going to have NOED, and they did.
-
Yeah, whenever I'm working on a gen and I see someone cleanse a dull totem right next to me, I'm internally screaming at them to come help finish my gen instead. I don't know, doing dull totems just feels like a waste of time. If they do end up having NOED, I'll look for the lit totem then and there.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you have to be doing something to get Bloodpoints do you not? Just hanging out in the exit doesn't give any.
For bloodpoints, yes, but what I'm mostly after is xp. Like, the stuff that counts towards your player level and rift tiers. The xp you get from a match of survivor is based on how long you were in that match (capped off at 10 minutes or 600xp). Most matches don't last 10 minutes though, so I stay for as long as possible until the killer physically boops me out of the gate.
-
I tend to stay until they smack me out of the door because you get more xp the longer you're in a match.
-
In the meantime, I'm not really on social media and I had no idea there was a new chapter coming up. :') This is the first I've heard of it.
-
As the comment above mine said, all rift cosmetics will eventually become available in the store.

There has never been one in the past, so I wouldn't expect one this time either.
I'm actually pretty sure there was one last time, they extended it by a week.

I've played Oni only twice after I bought him because I would aim my hit perfectly and right before it lands it gets super sensitive for some reason and flicks in a random direction. Like the person I'm trying to hit is running in front of me, I aim straight ahead but right at the end my hit randomly lands on the wall to my left. I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this...

I think it's because a lot of people are not playing the game due to the bugs or issues with the UI. You could try turning crossplay off as well, sometimes there are more people looking for a match on just PC.
Wasn't the entire point of crossplay to make queues faster? I'm confused.

Felix and David for survivor, Legion for killer. :)

What's Nea doing in the survivor tier list?

Well you decide if a default hillbilly pant and five recolours are worth your time. That’s your choice
But the Felix outfit looks so good. ;-;

If you’re really unhappy then just wait until said update comes out. It’ll be like 2 weeks max
My main problem with this solution is that finishing the rift, which I like to do, is really difficult if you take a two week break from the game. :/

I kill who I see, often times that means tunneling the weakest link. If I see someone got unhooked and the person I just had on the hook is the easiest target I'm going for it. This leads to a lot of tunneling from me. I feel badly, but hey if they didn't want to get tunneled they shouldn't be the most obvious target.
Like being chased by a bear with a friend, "I don't need to outrun the bear, I need to outrun you."
Oh it definitely makes sense from a killer perspective to do what you need to do in order to win (more easily). It's just not exactly fun from a survivor's point of view and I try not to do this myself when I'm playing killer. At most, I will down the easy target to buy myself some time but not hook them. If I find them again after that, though, they're dead.

just some ideas, not sure if any of these apply:
- try not to be the first one spotted by the killer which increases your risk of getting farmed off the hook if your teammates are bad (i.e. don't jump on the first gen you see, learn how to hide, learn how to loop)
- try not to be the bad teammate mentioned above and don't go for farms (unhook in Killers face) or unsafe unhooks (unhook when you suspect the Killer is proxy camping, or you don't know the Killer is pressuring another area of the map or chasing someone else)
- don't overdo stealth, if someone is hooked and you know a teammate is going for the unhook, don't hide from the killer, try and make a diversion (e.g. pebble, fail a skill check on purpose, vault a wall) or just take a chase (again, learn how to loop)
- don't teabag or click flashlight, I mean you could, it's up to a killer if they want this to offend them, but it will increase your risk of being tunneled
Thanks for these. :) Three of them don't apply to me, but I am often the person that gets found first, mostly because I don't bother with hiding in a bush until someone else gets found. If this keeps up though, I might have to consider becoming a bush for the remainder of the event...

Because generally speaking, survivors cause a lot of what is called tunneling and camping by very bad play. Due to the imbalance that exists with points/time in getting a safe unhook, survivors in solo q 95% of the time stop everything and hump the hook. Anyone who plays killer knows this.
I asked because it seems like 2 of your teammates understood that the person on the hook has a large amount of time that they can hang there. They probably understood that getting gens done instead of humping the hook was far more beneficial than grabbing immediately for no reason. It’s a good thing you had them on your team to do gens

And what I'm saying is yes, you (or your teammates) are doing something wrong. I do something wrong every match. I watch the videos to record what I did with a less biased eye, and what I could do better. If you like more positive language, there are things you could do BETTER, if you prefer that to saying "I did something wrong." It amounts to the same thing.
What I'm pointing out, which is the same thing the superstars of this game say, is that most tunneling is the result of Survivor behavior, NOT Killer behavior.
I feel like you both assume that I'm at rank 15 and don't actually know how to play the game, but I've been playing for a little over a year now, watch streams and videos almost every day and very much know how the game works. All I'm saying is that, yes, I can agree with the OP that as of the event, killers in my matches are relentlessly tunneling the first person they find out of the game and it isn't very enjoyable, especially with these horribles hitboxes as of late. I played four games tonight and the tunnelling happened in all four. Twice to me, twice to my teammates.
And I really don't agree with the 'you're doing something wrong' theory. Because how can it be my fault if the killer decides to tunnel my teammate? Or is it my teammate's fault then? :^)
