As a furry, can we get a survivor who wears a fur suit? I mean. There is a disproportional amount of LGBT in the furry community, and thus having a guy furry character will knock out two birds with one survivor. :P

I love how your profile picture even fits with what you just said. xD

  • @smappdooda said:

And if you accuse them of it after, they all say "Nah solo" but their profiles are private. They get off on it.

Although sometimes people wrongly assume they played against a SWF when I was in fact playing solo. So then I say I'm solo and the killer goes "yeah, right". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • As a gay guy (did I just come out on this forum? 🤔), I would absolutely hate to see a drag queen added to the game. This would not make me feel included or represented because I don't relate to that kind of thing at all. It is way too stereotypical, flamboyant and over the top and I don't like that that is what people think of when I tell them I'm gay. There you go, my reasoning.

I agree with many of the other comments I've read about just casually revealing that one of the characters has, or used to have, a same-sex relationship. This would keep it small, no big deal, and would still make gay people feel included.

Yea sadly though im a meg main player and the outfit in my opinion is one of if not her best outfit and ill be annoyed if i dont get it

I saw the trailer and all I thought was "I need that hairstyle for Meg". Turns out it's on tier 70. Guess who's going to be playing a lot of DbD these next two months.

Please revert these changes. Can barely see any auras.

First game I played with these changes and I thought the killer was running Knockout and Third Seal.

    They were not. :/

I had the exact same experience on Midwich where I heard a survivor getting downed and I looked all around but literally couldn't see where they were. Figured the killer must have been using some perks. They weren't.

  • Alright, thank you very much. :) Guess I'll just have to wait and see then. And hope for his sake it's not rank 3!

I unfortunately dont make youtube videos or anything. I'm not trying to claim I'm a perfect player or anything, I'm just conscious when I make mistakes and misplays. Unfortunately in alot of videos Tru3 puts out... He's kinda oblivious to his own shortcomings and will just blame things on coordinated SWFs and such even when its not the case. Unfortunately alot of the playerbase itself isnt aware enough of the game to notice those mistakes and tends to buy into the 1 thing that True has alot of...which is self confidence. If you'd like to see me in a game sometime though, I DO have a discord and I can simply stream a game to you while explaining my thought process. I've done this for afew members of the community here and have kinda blown peoples mind on how to properly apply pressure who were struggling to do so.

This is off-topic but what you said here is the exact reason I stopped watching Tru3. He'll throw a bad hatchet, it misses and he congratulates the survivor for their 'good juke'. Like no dude, you just missed...

  • Honestly I can't play without it anymore. Massive help against stealth killers. And I can't count the amount of times it has saved me when I was the last survivor left trying to open the exit gate. It lets you know when it's safe and gives you that little extra bit of speed you need to get the gate open before you get smacked.

Excuse me? Were you dropped on your head? People use those, including myself, to allow resolutions such as 1800p coupled with gpu overridden scaling to maintain solid 60 fps with max settings on specific games. As well as using custom resolutions enabled by control panel for Vorpx. If they did that I hope the game would die and rid us of thats ort of bs and get our custom resos back. I'd take the custom resos over the game any day of the week, 52 weeks a year. How dare you demand they cripple some peoples' custom settings for literally every other game and application out there, and remove their freedom of how they use their pc and those apps and peripherals just so you can feel good about how you play a single video game. My PC isn't a console, if you worry so much go play this on console. Talk about entilement, only on a asymmetrical would I see a comment like yours.

Damn, you went to 200% anger levels really quickly.

  • I myself bought Legion recently and have been hesitant to try him out because everyone seems to be saying he's a bad killer. Could anyone perhaps recommend a good build?

Oh sometimes you'll get bad people.. but it's really not that frequent. Same how you'll get bad killers who camp or tunnel off hook when you play survivors.. they're a minority, don't let the rotten apples ruin your fun

I will try. Thank you for the nice comments. :)

People sometimes suggest to turn off the post-game chat if you can't handle it, but I know there's also friendly people out there (I've added some of them to my friendlist) and I would hate to miss out on that...

  • @Clockso said:

you didn't really have to open an entire discussion just to tell us what someone said to u in the end game chat since this survivor behaviour (not pun intended if u even considered it one) is fairly common

I know. I wasn't sure if I should post this or not, but I am kinda glad I did.

I guess I just wanted to get a feel for "is this really what killer mains have to sit through all the time"? I usually play survivor because killer can be very intense.

I don’t know if this was aimed at me, but I was one of the ones who said about going to the opposite side of the map. If you properly read what I was referring to, it was the survivors who call you a camper because they happen to be hooked next to a generator people are working on. That isn’t camping. They’re the people I am mocking. What you went off on a tangent about is something completely different. Purposely tunnelling somebody straight off a hook and chasing other survivors near a hooked survivor aren’t the same thing, which unfortunately a lot of survivors don’t realise. I was rank 1 on both sides before the rank reset yesterday so I have in depth knowledge on both sides. I know how annoying a lot of killers can be, which is why I’m actually preferring playing as a killer myself recently. But I’ve been called a tunneller and camper plenty of time’s by people who just don’t know the meaning of the words. I never deliberately do either of those things, but I’m not going to walk away from a hook when I know there are survivors right there. Why would I?

I have to say, I've been following this thread and I can't help but agree with everything you've said. :)

It hasn't been that long since his release, and the hype for him died quite fast so it's entirely possible.

Might be different personal experience? I face Deathslinger on a daily basis. If anyone's hype died down pretty much instantly it's Pyramid Head, whom I haven't faced all week even though he was just released.

  • @ALostPuppy said:

Don't see how him being a survivor main suddenly invalidates his opinion...like everyone else's it should be respected. Even if you don't like the guy's takes you shouldn't treat his opinions like a joke just because he plays the other side. What a ######### mindset to have.

Although you have to admit that an opinion such as "I have never ever since the release of this character seen a Deathslinger that did not camp" is a very questionable one.

  • I don't see the problem in this picture to be honest. Why should he leave the area of interest, where you are most likely going to be, to go on a wild goose chase in the middle of nowhere?

On a related note, as a Deathslinger main, I can tell you that often times I don't even get enough time to leave the area. I always turn around once or twice while leaving the hook area just in case I might catch someone going for the save. If you can't wait for me to be fully out of sight, you deserve to get harpooned.

I had also never heard the term 'proxy camping' until I got called a proxy camper in one of my games. Because it's totally my fault that there are gens being worked on in the near vicinity of the hook. Guess I should have disappeared to some far out corner of the map where exactly nothing is happening.

Iirc it's technically a bug, but her glass shards change colour/transparency when she phases, easiest to see when you're close to her.

Oh, that's good to know. I'll try to look out for that the next time I'm unfortunate enough to be that close to a spirit.

  • @SaltedSnow said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1443138#Comment_1443138

When you're that close, you can see when she uses her power.

    Do go on?

  • I had this as well last weekend. I'm a rank 8 killer and I faced 4 rank 18-20s. You'd think crushing noobs is a fun experience but it's not. There's nothing to it. They are walking in plain sight, they see that I'm coming towards them and they just crouch.

You're not an ostrich, Nea. It doesn't work.

  • I'm glad to learn that it was temporarily disabled because I ragequit a game yesterday... It's not something I do often (it was the second time since I started playing this game in December 2019 and I play pretty much every day).

On topic, I have had false positives before and they are annoying, but I have to say the game is in a much better state now than it was before. People used to disconnect all the time... Now there's a disconnect once in every 25 games.

  • Played against a Spirit yesterday and lost a 50/50 at a pallet, because let's be real, there's no way you can know which side of the pallet she's going to be on. Feels very uninteresting to lose to that.

It reminds me of that saying: "I only need to be lucky once. You need to be lucky every time." Because once you're injured, all mindgames are off the table and you are bound to go down.

Luckily, I don't face her very often. It's mostly been Legion, Huntress, Ghostface and Deathslinger this week.

  • Just yesterday I was waiting in a survivor lobby when this other survivor joined and said in the chat "It's spirit, get out". Then he left.

I was curious to see if he was right so I stayed, and yes, it was in fact a spirit. Seems fishy to me.

My Ghostface already has all the perks unlocked, lol.

I've just learned to read 'GF' as Ghostface instead of girlfriend in this community and then the one team I read it as Ghostface, it's actually girlfriend. But good on you! :D

The ranks are red, but you wouldnt guess it by the way they played. Its as if 80% of the players tonight have been new players who are over at their friend's house and playing on their accounts or something. I havent had this many stomps since I was farming BPs for my GF using Bubba on her rank 20 account.

Me reading your comment: "since I was farming BPs for my Ghostface using Bubba on her rank 20 acc- oh shucks he meant girlfriend."

  • I've had this happen to me a few months ago. Was winning the game, too... They decided to 'punish' me for my earlier winning by not finishing gens and just fooling around, and there was nothing I could do but wait or disconnect.

  • After the changes were announced I kept reading that 'any player with a brain will tell you that Billy was the most balanced killer in the game and did not need changes'. I suppose I don't have a brain, then. I've always thought it was a bit ridiculous how he could freely zoom across the map and instantly down you if you happened to be caught out in a bad spot, which is not unlikely to happen because some gens are placed out in the open and he moves so fast you don't exactly have time to make it to safety.

Most of my games against Billy also feature one or two of my teammates hiding in lockers all game because they are too scared to move (and yes, I'm talking red ranks... Sadly). All it takes is one potato and the rest of the team doesn't really stand a chance of escaping.

  • Yeah I made sure to log in on the 29th just to be sure. I don't take risks with things like this.

Most killers good hearts got smashed by butts shaking at exit gates. Don't even pretend you've never done it.

I have in fact never done this before. The only time I use the crouch is to thank them if they're letting me go or to signify they can get a free hit on me before I leave, and always exactly once so it doesn't come across as T-bagging. But oh well, believe what you will. :)

I do agree that it can be disheartening when you experience this as a killer and it may lead you to want to take it out on the next survivors you see, but you should always remember those are not the same people that were toxic to you. Spread love, not toxicity (as far as that's possible in a game that requires you to kill people).

  • Just got basement camped out of my Nea crown. Fun design though. I should probably leave the forum while I'm this frustrated...

  • @Bovinity said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1380216#Comment_1380216

I hate to sound jaded, but survivors pretty much never, ever, not even once, are considerate of killers in any way.

So yeah, constantly hearing about how killers need to be nice about every little desire that survivors have gets old.

I get where you're coming from. This game has some pretty nasty survivors. This just annoys me because it's something nice that I would personally do for others, so it makes me judge people who don't. And I just had to get it out, so I guess this was the place. I even went out of my way to point some teammates into the direction of the crown, only to have us all die...

  • I'm not so much complaining about not being able to get the crown, I'm complaining about killers being mean and killing you while you're the last survivor, halfway through opening the exit gate while you have the crown. I guess I just thought people had more of a good heart than that. Maybe this explains why this community is always so toxic.

Inb4 It'S tHeIr JoB tO kIlL yOu.

  • I just had a game where the killer destroyed us so hard someone disconnected almost immediately. Killer still felt the need to kill me instead of letting me walk away with my crown. Was pretty bummed because if I was the killer in that situation, I'd just let them go. Guess not everyone's like me...

  • It makes me sad to see Plague so high up on this list because I recently bought her and I've been performing horribly and now I just feel bad at the game. :D

I can agree with Deathslinger though, I've been performing very well with him despite pretty much every post I've ever read saying he's not that good. Performing "very well" means I somehow managed to beat a rank 1 SWF with him. Ofc they called me a camper afterwards. :)

  • Why would anyone think it's a bug? When I see a message that says I've been awarded 50k points I think "oh, sweet ^^" and not "oh my god a bug".

  • It is true the PH himself can work around this by just not equipping any hook-related perks or by deciding to hook instead of using the cage. Survivors could be running hook-related perks and they'd be useless.

  • What I wish they'd remove, which kind of ties into this, is the breathing on the main menu. I always select Plague when I'm done playing killer because at least she's quiet. But yeah, Myers for example breathes very loudly which often gives him away, even in Tier I.

  • Yes, that's basically what you do. Someone just has to leave the game alive before you do and that should complete the challenge.

  • For the same reason swf using voice chat is not bannable.

  • Very recently my game crashed in the middle of a match and I had to wait 5 minutes before I could queue again. I stopped playing for that evening. I was angry that the game punished me for something that really wasn't my fault, even if 5 minutes isn't a very long time.

In general though, I dislike DC punishments in games where you can't reconnect because sometimes my internet decides to peace out for two minutes for no apparent reason. In other games, that's not that big of a deal. You just reconnect and you and your team can still win. In DBD though, there's no way to reconnect. So basically I feel like the punishment should only happen if you DC and don't reconnect, which in DBD does not exist. Sadly, there's nothing we can do about this...

  • Thanks guys!

I was indeed considering Clown because Pop seems like a must have perk these days, but it felt really bad spending my shards on a killer I would probably never play. I think I'm going to follow your advice and buy Plague, she does seem like a lot of fun!

  • I believe that's the same thing. I think you are confusing the exit gates being powered (which is when all the gens are done) with the exit gates being opened. Hope is supposed to help you open the gate faster, which would be rather useless if it only activates after the gate is already open. ;)
