    Scoring Points

The Player's goal is to gain as many points towards this Emblem as possible during a Trial.
The starting value for this Emblem is 0 points, which is equivalent to No Emblem obtained:

    • 0 points:
      • added for each Survivor who died by bleeding out
    • 1 point:
      • added for having hooked all Survivors at least 1 time
      • added for having hooked Survivors collectively at least 9 times
    • 2 points:
      • added for each Survivor who died by being sacrificed on a Hook
      • added for each Survivor who died by being killed by the Killer's own hand
      • added for each Survivor who disconnected from the Trial

And you need 10 points for an iridescent Devout emblem, so you need a 4k and then also have everyone hooked once and have 9 hooks combined across everyone.

  • Thanks for sharing this! I'll be sure to try out that build, it looks like fun.

  • I just had a bot Ace T-bagging behind me while I was doing a gen he could have helped me with, then he walked off to hide behind a hill. It truly is a 2v6…

  • It's funny because I knew which one you were talking about before I even opened the post.

Then take a break for the day and try again when you're in a mindset to play well enouh to survive.

Losing a few games doesnt warrant a "the game is universallly unplayable" catastrophing rant.

He's been the killer in all of these screenshots. He's trying to show he's demolishing people at 3-5 gens every game.

I'm not commenting on the point he's trying to make, I'm just clarifying. :)

  • Or you make it super easy for yourself and just bring any other perk that exposes people and a mori or Rancor. You only have to have Devour Hope equipped, you don't actually have to use its effects. 😄

I am depressed at the lack of people with a sense of humor.

Haha, yeah. I thought I'd made a pretty good joke myself but didn't quite get the reaction I hoped for.

    Glad someone appreciated it! 😋

  • As of yesterday, Knock Out.

I played against a Blight with Knock Out, Coulrophobia, Deerstalker and Mindbreaker who just slugged us all on RPD and it was the most boring game I've played in a very long time. What makes it worse is that it really only works against a team of solo queues, but that's all I play sadly.

  • What a well-written post! I enjoyed reading it and I agree with everything you said. :)

  • I think he interpreted the X as 'Xbox' instead of '[insert here]'.

Im more worried there's too many killers.

Every 3 months survivors get +1 killer they have to re-learn from scratch to have competitive chance against and with most recent killers they also have to learn brand new tool every now and then to use vs only this specific killer.

Like, take singularity or xeno as the most apparent examples. These killers are perfectly balanced but because you have to learn specific skills vs these killers instead of using blunt general approach, people lose against them quite often and think there's something wrong with the killer.

This is a problem I have too.

People who main a killer, even one you don't typically see very often, get good with that killer. Survivors in the meantime might only see that killer maybe once a week, and it's impossible to develop any skills against specific killers when you only see them every other week.

Like, I faced a Skull Merchant for the first time in weeks and had no idea what to do. Then I faced my first Unknown and got destroyed because I didn't know I was supposed to look at him. And then I got deleted by a Xeno, whom I've only seen three times in total since he was released.

  • What I love about 2v8 is the cage system, which removes any possibility of being camped or tunneled. It's great. I played one game of 2v8 and asked myself why the actual game doesn't have that same system. To me it seems like an obvious upgrade.

Going back to 1v4 was rough, but I did it anyway because I'm working on an achievement that can't be done without perks. I'm going to miss 2v8 when it leaves.

  • @Zokenay said:

Good thing that Wesker is stupidly popular, and with Xenocat trending at the moment, this achievement isnt hard to farm currently.

But yeah, would prefer they avoid these kind of stuff, i suffered enough with the Blessing Hexes achievement.

I was just about to bring up the Bless You! achievement. I'm currently at 16/20 with two of my perks being Small Game and Boon: Shadow Step (both garbage) and I'm not making any progress because nobody brings hex perks.

    It's the worst.

  • I'm willing to bet quite a few. 😅

  • @tjt85 said:

I like to get value from my perks in every game too.

If you want guaranteed value, you can't really go wrong with Sprint Burst and Resilience. Even if the Killer doesn't chase you, Sprint Burst will get you from A to B a lot faster (and even make some last second hook saves possible). And Resilience is always helpful in a chase with the extra vault speed and great for those games when your teammates just don't want to heal you.

We'll Make It or Botany are good options for speedy heals, since you'll probably go for at least 1 hook save per game, you will get some value.

These are some nice suggestions! Thank you!

  • I was ambushed by an undetectable Leatherface yesterday and jumped out of my chair. He had a perk I had never even seen before, Machine Learning, so it really came out of nowhere. He really is 100% silent.

    I died in-game and IRL.

  • @Nazzzak said:

I'd chuck in Alert and Bond and just light that map up 😅

I've considered it before. 😂 Maybe I should give it a try haha.

  • Can confirm this happened to me too last night two games in a row, but not in all of my games. Very curious.

Both times it was the second to last gen being completed that also completed the last gen out of nowhere.

  • I don't think that's a controversial take at all, in fact, I've seen it numerous times over my years on this forum. I completely agree, too. I hate that an added downside of solo queue is that I have to sacrifice some of my perk slots for must-have things like Kindred or Bond or play without them but feel at a serious disadvantage.

  • This looks really cool but I'm also not really sure what I'm looking at? Could you explain a bit more? 😊

  • The problem I have with this is that even if you learn how to run a Nurse, your entire team needs to be able to do that to stand a chance of winning the game. It doesn't matter if you can last in chase if your team falls in three seconds. You can't win alone, unfortunately.

  • @please_explain said:

I think you should be grateful for the state that gen regression perks are atm or did you prefer to have 12 hits of pain res instead of 4 or pop taking away 20% out of gens entire progression bar instead of 20% of it's current progression or corrupt staying up even after first down happened or the 200% regression that old ruin had and S and A tier killers get little to no benefit from Surge. This is the weakest gen regression meta that dbd has ever had and ppl still complain about it amazing.

You've conveniently left out that gens were raised to 90 seconds and toolboxes were nerfed, among other things. The perks themselves might be weaker than they once were on paper, but that doesn't mean they still aren't too strong together today.

My friend just got it. You have to be 24 meters away from the killer at the time of aura reveal. Try Alert, Kindred and Wiretap.

    Thanks for the clarification! 😊

  • @jmwjmw27 said:

Some advice for this challenge: blinding the killer while they're in the hooking animation counts, as long as you finish the blind before the hook animation ends. Since you're still blinding while they're carrying a survivor, technically.

If you are not confident in your flashlight timing, I also recommend going for pickup blinds as early as possible, you probably won't get the save, but you will not be too late and therefore at least get a blind for your challenge.

    Best of luck!

Basically this. You don't have to get the save, you just have to get the blind. Which is a lot easier than it sounds with the two strategies you mentioned.

  • I actually don't understand the wording of this challenge? What does '24 meters away from you' mean? That he has to be further than that? Because my first interpretation was within 24 meters.

How are they so bad at writing. D:

Chucky released in a state that makes me guess if they even playtested it, no flaw, multiple powers, ends chases in matters of seconds; it's like they realized only on being professional survivors with flawless looping skills and perfect map-knowledge and didn't take account for the vast majority of new and average players

I've been waiting on the counterplay video on Youtube but all I've seen so far is 'omg Chucky hype, we've been waiting years for this', 'haha, smol killer, funi' and 'THIRD BEST KILLER??!'.

I played against him earlier today and I don't see what I'm supposed to do. He's tiny, he has stealth, he's mobile and he ignores pallets and windows. I don't understand where all the hype is coming from. Is it only franchise-wise? Because from a game perspective, he seems busted to me.

  • I'm responding here because your other discussion is 100% going to be removed for not blurring players' names.

The fact that you went against not-so-subtle cheaters doesn't confirm that everything else you thought was suspicious, was also cheating.

  • The number of times I've thought the same thing! I get it, I've lost, I want to move on. But instead I have to watch a ten second animation of me being sucked into the sky.

  • No you guys, you don't get it. He's a beast at this game and his mmr is so high he only faces comp teams match after match. It's exhausting!

  • Yeah so I still don't know what to do against her if she plops drones down on the three closest gens and refuses to leave the area all game.

  • The timing of this post is comical to me because I literally just faced a Clown on Hawkins who got angry at a Claudette for having MFT and 'gen rushing' while injured.

You know, even though she died in the end and he got two kills. 😐️

  • Mine is apparently an unpopular opinion but I dislike the swearing and would like to see no more of it. I find it off-putting and immature. I know it's accurate for the character, I just don't like it.

  • @Mushwin said:

I think it's funny people saying chucky would make this game silly, yet we have a naughty bear, big rabbits, a walking elephant, not to mention a dating game of DBD, also fact of kicking victor as he launches himself at you, and if it is FNAF which I am myself not overly a fan of, be adding grinning weird animatronics which look like they have been on a night out bender.

It just goes to show people will say anything to ward off stuff they don't like from joining the game. FNAF is too childisch, Chucky is too silly, [insert killer] would never work in the game, ... It's just their way of saying 'I don't like this and I wanted something else'.

I just do when I can and matters this specific achievement. Anyway, cleansing/blessing a Hex totem is always a positive thing! I play as Mikeala with her 3 default perk + Small Game. I repair gens, bless totems area which the team are so I sorta support class with this loadout. You can saw the curse icon beginning in the match or when repairing gens. Still, like others said don't rush and dedicate yourself for this single achievement.

With my method I'm on 3 or 4. Still fun to play and try to get the best of the perks. I just bought the character.

Yeah, I spent the evening yesterday playing normally, but with a boon in my build, and came across a Plague with Plaything. Sadly, I was only able to bless my own hex totem before I died, but at least that's one hex totem closer to the end!

I'm definitely not going to hard focus on this achievement anymore. It will come when it comes.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Best advice honestly (& this goes for quite a few achievements in this game) just play normally & eventually you'll get it.

Of course for that specific achievement you'd need to bring a boon perk but otherwise I wouldn't dedicate loadouts to an achievement in most cases especially something like that because as you already said what if killer has no hex?

    Loadout largely a bust!

& again goes for a lot of other achievements too the vast majority will eventually pop playing normally on both sides. I'd also personally use exponential over circle of healing.

Certainly more situational but can provide a game winning boost every now & then & give you more long term value at least from all the slugging I personally see

Interesting take with Exponential! I'm not a huge fan of CoH because last time I ran it, I was dancing around injured in the totem range but nobody came to heal me. It didn't seem super useful to me, at least in solo queue. Whereas Exponential could potentially turn a game around.

And of course you're right that playing normally, albeit with a boon in my build, will eventually get me the achievement. I guess I was hoping there was a way to speed up the process. Thanks for your advice!

  • @UndeddJester said:

What you want is survivability and a means of helping your team as much as possible, cause focusing totems is a bit of a throw. Since gens take longer than totems you'll be best served as either the person distracting the killer or saving teammates instead if doing gens.

Circle of Healing, Small Game, Sprint Burst and We'll Make It would be my suggestion.

Circle at least means your team can heal in the boon circle so you aren't crippling everyone else by taking the time to boon. Small game ensures you can find totems and be helpful with COH regardless in a timely manner.

Sprint Burst is your get totems done and get moving perk, it allows you keep moving quickly between objectives and give the killer a decent chase if you're found.

We'll Make It allows you to save people off hook (since you're roaming for totems anyway), and get them quickly back in the game.

Other than that, you can do gens until you know a hex is in effect, and once you do abandon all gens to findbthe hex. Also remember your own survival doesn't matter... only totems matter... be willing to die to find NOED 😁

Ooh I really like your build suggestion! I hadn't thought of it this way yet, but you're right that I probably shouldn't be the person doing gens in this case. It's just that I'm so used to that playstyle because typically, if I don't do them, they don't get done.

I will definitely swap out Dark Theory for Circle of Healing as soon as I'm done with the other achievement. I was also considering Shadowstep but CoH is probably more useful. I really like the suggestion of We'll Make It so I can be more useful to the team.

Thanks a lot for your advice! 😊

I did it with counterforce for the stackable cleansing speed on the dull totems and the better accuracy in locating them. It will bring u back into the game a bit faster than going for the totems normally. Still took me several days to complete since hex totems arent really that super popular for some reason (cough)

I also tried Counterforce before Small Game but then I saw a totem in the distance, went to get get it and couldn't find it anymore. 😂 I will have to give it another try, the speed boost might help me waste less time. Thanks for your advice!

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Back in the day I just switched one of my Perks with Circle of Healing and played normally. And I would advise to do just that. Yes, it will take ages. Yes, Circle of Healing sucks. But IMO it is not really worth to dedicate an entire build for such an Achievement, especially because it will roughly take the same time compared to just using Circle of Healing and three other Perks you usually run.

It is just one of those Achievements which got way harder to get. You can still get it (which is the reason why it will not be changed), but it is harder than before. You will not encounter many Hex-Perks anymore (back in the day you had at least Ruin in almost all Killer Builds, so there was one Totem to bless) and you have to hope for a Killer running Plaything or stuff like that. I would also not say that you really have to look for Totems in advance. If you see a Hex because you stumble upon it, great, but I would only search if you know that there is a Hex in play.

And well, obviously it also got harder because all Boons are trash.

You're right, I probably would be better off just bringing a boon and playing normally instead of dedicating all my efforts towards this achievement. I just have this tendency to get super fixated on something and then I have to get it done. This is one of those things.

I will try to take your advice to heart and stop focusing on it so much, but I will also try some of the ideas other people have mentioned here. Thanks for weighing in! 😄

I consider Distortion an unhealthy perk because it can counter several perks (and even addons) at once and his tokens can be reloaded.

Imagine you equip Lethal Pursuer and BBQ (common combo due the synergy), two of your perks are useless against a survivor with just one perk slot, which activate passively and can also be reloaded. In fact the problem has worsened lately because it has become more popular. I've even seen a match with three people equiping it.

I had a match last week where all four survivors had it equipped. I was so confused when I never saw any healing being done with Nurse's. That explained it lmao.

  • Like everyone said, it's ending soon, but I did think it was funny when I played one singular game as the Knight, since he's literally featured as the killer getting a super cool outfit in this event, and I found out the hard way that the void completely deletes his power from the game.

Yep I'm one of them! I throw up from first person games, even just watching them, and with how ridiculously narrow dbd fov is on killer I threw up right next to my desk first time I tried killer. It was great!

My health and well being is worth far more than a lolgame.

Unfortunately, I've seen this happen before. I tried to get some friends of mine into the game, a couple, but they both refunded after it turned out the girl had severe motion sickness from playing killer.

Let's hope the rumored FOV slider that should be coming soonTM can help you!

It's mega boring to play killer. You either stomp are get stomped. No in between games. More so you stomp because 85% of survivors are terrible at this game and give up if even the slightest thing goes wrong.

As survivor where is at least few thrilling matches in between 5 tunneling weskers I a row.

I mean, I feel you, I also prefer to play survivor, but I do play killer so I can get all the challenges done. I'm just saying, if you hate Dwight that much, it's only two killer challenges to reach the end instead. You got this, friend!

Also I literally just got out of a match against a tunneling Wesker lmao. How did you know? :^)

  • Or, like, play killer as well so you can finish the whole thing? Are there really people out there who only play half of this game?

  • I'll admit I had no idea I could crouch through the drones. That's definitely going to be helpful.

  • it's the other way around for me (also Europe). Killer is instant, survivor takes more than five minutes.

  • Considering the third milestone reward requires you to buy everything that's available, I'd say you will be able to buy everything.

What do looping got to do with eventually going down and getting stuck in endless cycle of box interruptions?

Obviously you just loop the Pig for 5 gens because she's an M1 killer. /s

  • I quit the game not because I didn't enjoy it anymore but because the rift takes too much commitment for me to complete and being the perfectionist that I am, I can't play the game a little bit knowing that I won't complete the rift. It's all or nothing, sadly.

Having quit though, I must say it's refreshing how much time has freed up, which allows me to enjoy other games I never had the time for.

POV: You disagree with me, ergo, I must be a Survivor main.

However, I'll humor the both of you.

The reason I am normally fine with Survivor things is because I don't find them to be issues. I watch footage, I play games, I speak with other experienced players. The nature of DBD is that, generally, things that Survivors do can be countered via skill by Killers. As Survivor, you are often limited by your teammates and the attitude of the Killer you play against. You are beholden to no one except yourself as Killer, and the mighty RNGesus.

Please note, I said that medium-old DH could be countered and that I had no issues with it in my matches. People argued it was completely uncounterable and it wasn't. I also protested the PTB changes, which I still think were bad. I do NOT like the idea of completely killing perks. It shouldn't have happened to DS, DH, SC or to perks like CoB or Overcharge

    Anyways, here's some threads.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/377147/pov-fast-gen

And as for my own personal stats, I've competed in various smaller tournaments. I was in Tofu's scrim nights, I've competed in the Community Cups and I've played against Team Misery.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1FQ0KRFJ4J22/dbd-stats-png.png

These are my stats on my main account. I think I've probably got another 300-400 hours elsewhere.

A Feast For The Entity is how many Kills I've achieved. 13K puts me at about 30th on Xbox.

Made It Out Alive is how many escapes I have. 1600 escapes puts me well below 1500th place.

Unfortunately, the argument that I'm a Survivor main in disguise simply isn't true. I understand that arguing points can be difficult and it's easier to resort to ad hominem attacks, but I expect a little better.

You destroyed them with politeness and facts. I admire you for that.
