this pretty tame compared to a lot of stuff that gets unironically said here.
I did make that comment before someone tried telling me No Mither was an OP survivor perk that should be nerfed so I feel like I cursed myself.

If you don't know how to use any of the generic loop structures, run everywhere leaving scratchmarks and can't last more than 5 seconds in chase then yes - it is not a good perk.
If you play using brain though it is actually one of the better perks, because good killer rely on sounds as much as on visual queues (In jungle gyms and indoor maps even more) and so they have to track blood. No sounds and blood? You are invisible to Nurse and Spirit.
So yeah, you can't expect this perk to be buffed :).
Edit: Also noone prohibits you from using any of the items or exhaustion perks so yeah, stop crying.
Or, instead of being one hit permanently, you have two health states each time, can be completely silent (Iron Will), can pick yourself up normally (Unbreakable), Adrenaline works on you, Dead Hard is still a perk you can utilise, Lucky Break is there too just in case you want something spicier too.
And you still make sound. So terribly sorry to remind you but it doesn't make you silent, and you can still be affected by Stridor. So no Spirit counter there, neither with Nurse.
No Mither is still a garbage perk and everything it does another perk does better without the caveat of you being injured.
And me? Crying? Darling you're the one calling one of the worst survivor perks in the game overpowered, if ever there was a case of pot kettle black then you're at the top of that list.
It may be a good perk vs brand new killers but people who know how to use their eyeballs, or eardrums (since again you aren't silent and 50% volume is still very easy to hear; trust me I've faced enough No Mither's in my time to know) will kill you in... Oh I don't know, 4 minutes if you're actually doing something for your team?
I'm sure it's a wonderful perk for meme sabo squads or the baby David crouching in the corner of the map doing nothing though, so keep going 🥳🥳 you'll get there soon enough

Well since the devs fixes to prominent quality of life and some amount of game improvement are just change perks instead of basekit mechanics he is surprisingly speaking closer to their balancing language, sure its not a good change but its in a direction the devs would probably take
I know bhvr are against actually fixing issues but that doesn't mean I can't keep suggesting proper fixes over perks as bandaids

@GoodBoyKaru I don't think you understand how strong lack of blood is or how much pressure the simple fact that you can't be slugged applies. Pair it with ds and iron will and it's the easiest win ever. Maybe Spine Chill for extra safety.
This perk is already overloaded and does not need buffs. Want points? Use WGLFE, another perk which after buff is broken.
Please tell me you're not trying to tell me one of the worst perks in the game, which provides a permanent detrament to your team, is one of the best? Yes you get those benefits but having one extra Health state is better than all of those benefits combined because of how much more time it brings your team to survive when you're in a chase.

You will then lose, because survivors will just pick up the box and solve it before the chain hunt happens.
It only takes 15 seconds off with add-ons. Chain hunt takes 90 seconds to activate.
The box starts turning yellow around half way to a chain hunt. The global aura of the box tells you when to pick it up. Probably why most of the players already caught on how to counter Pinhead.
You really don't seem to understand that you use Hoarder to find and chase the survivor before they solve the box, down them, chain hunt starts and you snowball from there. Particularly with Thrilling and Ruin as other perks.

I think we should adjust the gen speeds depending on the killer being used. Ones that have low mobility and map pressure should get a little more time to compensate.
I personally think we should just bring back old ruin. That helped ALL killers. Current ruin only helps killers that can apply pressure. Let's face it, a lot of them have a hard time doing this.
If it wasn't for the fact this would allow people to know which killer it is within 3 seconds (ruining a lot of stealth killers) I'd be for it.
-
@Ssajbambusa said:
It already removes blood and gives you unlimited unbreakable... No?
It also makes you permanently injured (bad), doesn't fully muffle sounds of pain (bad), alerts the killer you're using it so they never slug you (bad) and gives the killer a permanent thanatophobia stack if they have the perk (bad)
-
I dont really hate Ruin Undying. Yeah it's kinda boring but I can also counter it in solo play and it doesn't feel overbearing unless it's on a Spirit or something, but then that's a Spirit issue.
However, the moment Tinkerer is used in combination is when it goes from "this is fine" to "bhvr what the #########" because Tinkerer is easily one of the worst designed perks in the game and stamps all over solos whenever while having a lot less effect vs coordinated SWFs. That's the truly problematic perk of the combo, and it's not like it's any better when combined with PGTW either.
-
Instead of changing how base mechanics like regression and hex functionality for lower tier killers we buff these killers to have a movement power, better chase, or both (hey trapper and legion) so they can stand their own vs the best teams.

Players usually complete the puzzle before it starts. That's when you should be completing it.
So you use hoarder and double time add-ons to interrupt them and start one manually and then rise repeat?

No offence but this is one of the worst ideas I've ever seen on these forums.

Once you get into higher grades you need a 5 win streak to upgrade, and at higher MMR brackets that can be pretty tricky.
MMR working optimally should make it a coinfip if you win or gain a pip, so if you're 'mid-grade' then you're just not getting anywhere.
I don't think it'll be that hard. Your statement works on the assumption mmr works but it was made by bhvr so

@Ludicris said:
Still don't see the interest in Hoarder. You can't see the cube until its picked up, and survivors will only pick up the cube when they want to complete it anyways.
And when they want to complete it is usually during the Chain Hunt so if you have addons to increase solving time you can go and harass them to keep the Chain Hunt going

I haven't seen the challenge yet, and so far nobody has actually said what it is, just "tUrN oFf YoUr pOwEr lul".
I'm assuming it's: Get 10 basic hits as The Huntress.
That's not difficult in the slightest. In fact most Huntresses will use a combination of hatchets and basic hits. Usually injure with a basic hit and down with a hatchet.
Now if it's get 10 basic hits in a single trial I can see how that makes it significantly more difficult, but still not impossible.
Get 10 basic hits as The Huntress in a single trial while you have no hatchets remaining.
-
@Schardon said:
I'm wondering why there are no survivor challenges like that.
Idk...something like "Escape the trial without touching a gen and totems for the first 3 minutes of the game".
Would be kinda funny. :D
There's one like "Escape the trial without being hooked while using the perk spine chill" if that helps? Not in this tome but

Killers can be blinded from pretty close to 90° angles WITHOUT using Shadowborn. So yes, they work from dramatically bigger angles than the Killer's FOV.
To be fair it doesn't look like the killer is actually looking at the wall completely- as in, 90 degree angle. It looks like the killer is looking at a 45-60 degree angle at the wall, leaving part of their face and thus blind angle exposed.

Thank you for the feedback I really appreciate it. I agree about a lot of the bad perks would just be nothing at all but something needs to be clearly outlined so we know who needs to be reworked for the better or worse so we can be a better game for killers and survivors.

Thank you SirCracken for the feedback. That why I was just brainstorming a way to overhaul some of the issues at one time so we can maybe get some more clear data and in the right direction for perks not all being the same at all time when the meta right now is so one sided with perks and for killers their ability's.

Thank you Bran, IlliterateGenocide and Superyoshiegg for your feedback. So I want people in this community to start second guessing perks and maybe a little more craft theory for their builds. Also Yes this would divide the sea of great survivor to mediocre survivors and killers just like in any competitive game too which would mean we would have clearer data on what we should do as whole to move forward in the game and still able to keep identity's of the characters so we have some diversity and not seeing the same thing over and over.
What the ######### you took feedback like a normal person get off these forums you're too good for us

I'm low-key considering moving back to Freddy because I can't deal with Pyramid Head queue times
I love him and I love to play him, don't get me wrong, but I'm already getting rusty because I haven't played him in over 2 weeks at this point because I just can't be asked to wait an hour for a 4 key gamer moment
Though Wraith is getting tempting. I'd go for Nurse but her bugs make me sad

If they mean tomes, then yeah. Just do the challenge and move on. I had to throw countless games to get them done, especially the generator challenges for survivor that had to be completed in one game.
And op is kindly asking for whoever makes these challenges to step up their game and make things that are fun to complete and not this bullshit 🥰

Still unclear about this,
If you own the characters, will your perk icons/names change?
No. Like I said, they will act as normal. It will be as if the DLC was never removed.

As has been answered about 60 times, no you keep all characters and cosmetics if you own them. If you own the characters, teachables will act as normal. If you do not they become generic perks.

@KolbyKolbyKolby said:

Gen speeds themselves aren't even the problem. I can't tell you how many times a killer has chased one person from the start of the match for 4 minutes. They will run by my gen, and they won't even attempt to push me off the gen, yet they have ruin. No amount of gen speed reduction would make a difference if people ignore free hits and downs on survivors because they've overcommited to one chase. You shouldn't go into the game expecting to kill everyone at 5 gens either, it's okay, and oftentimes right to say "I'll let the preschool gen/grim pantry gen get done and not chase there because I can get downs easier elsewhere"
I agree that no amount of slowdown will fix bad players but generator speeds for killers without mobility, or a built-in passive slowdown, are definitely a problem at higher end play.
Gen speeds themselves should be increased, or mandatory other objectives introduced to extend match time like finding generator parts (as well as about 50 thousand solo buffs), and in return gen slowdown perks should be nerfed. Killers with poor mobility could also do with a small buff to their mobility maybe, depending on the power (for example, I'd say Pyramid Head is so strong in chase he doesn't need the boost. Trapper, meanwhile, desperately needs a lot).
-
They start off short because the system doesn't distinguish between crashes and intentional disconnections. If it began at a 30 minute penalty for a single disconnect, for example, the console dbd playerbase suddenly plummets.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:

Well not all bonuses.
I recently learned item efficiency perks like streetwise, botany and self care stack multiplicative
Wait really? I tested it before (about 2 years ago) and the results were the same as if they were additive not multiplicative
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
Here's another interresting question.
Do they stack additive vs multiplicative?
When 5 gens are done and you have Brutal and fire up do you have 40% faster kicks or 36%
Do you break it in 1.56 seconds or 1.66 seconds?
@chargernick85 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2498697#Comment_2498697
Yes good question but on Wraith with Shadow dance.....I love seeing the survivor ######### their pants when the pallet is gone before they can turn to run.
Additive. All bonuses are additive and all negatives are multiplicative. It's just after a certain point it isn't very noticable- like if Shadow Dance already increases it by like 60% then the bonuses won't be all too realised

This one, no.
Trickster is a 110% killer with no movement ability. Nurse has the ability to blink 32m every 6 seconds, as well as moving at 96% speed while she is not blinking.
Trickster has a limited ammo count of 44, and must land 12 of these for a down. Nurse's power recharges and she must land 2 hits to down.
Trickster is destroyed by large LOS blockers. Nurse deals with them easily.
Trickster must walk around thinks. Nurse goes through them.
Etc
