Or just let survivors keep addons again. There are so many reasons for this and few against:
- Survivors get less BP than killers, addons/items (they also need items) are, as such, obtained in smaller amounts.
- Survivor has FAR more addons than killers to compete with. Alongside the items which they also have, getting the addons you actually want on survivor is far more expensive than on killer (doesn't help that, again, they get less BP).
- Survivor addons are far less powerful than killer addons in general, and any survivor addon with strength to it is ALREADY consumed upon use.
The only reason I can think of against is to bring it "consistent" with killer. No one was complaining about brown-green survivor addons except toolboxes which are already tweaked.
Yeah if a survivor has add ons and they escape with the item. Sounds like they should keep them, for doing a good enough job of escaping. Which they currently can do but that takes owning the right dlc and having unlock ace in the hole for your character of choice. Which might be a perk slot you want for something else. Along with possibly having to spend alot of blood points just to get tier one of the perk. Let alone if you want tier three, which might take even more blood points. Which heck, i would say everyone could use a bit more blood points in general, be they survivor or killer alike.
Which if they are going to keep the current system of losing add ons, even if you escape, if you don't have ace in the hole. Well they might want to boost the number of chests in a match from three to say four. One for each survivor or maybe a slight buff to plunderers, making it add one more chest to the map but doesn't stack with other survivors using plunder. So even if all survivors take plunderers, it still only adds one more chest to the map. Of course just throwing random ideas out here off the top of my head. So might just be awful ideas really.

This is in response to your second statement. I don't know any survivors who would classify you hitting the off-hooker as a "tunnel". Anyone willing to say that simply doesn't know what a tunnel is (apparently someone in this forum? LOL).
Survivors don't expect a killer to go to a far corner and hang out with their thumb up their ass. The expectation is the killer should go do the things he was designed to do...hunt down another survivor, destruct gens and slow the progression of the game, chase other survivors and destruct palettes. All the things that allow both killers and survivors to maximize their game to the advantage of their in-game currency and rank. This is not an unreasonable expectation. BT exists because camping exists. If this was a chicken and egg scenario, camping would be the chicken and BT would be the egg. Same with DS. It is not as though people are exceptionally excited to eat up perk slots to counter play styles, it is just an unfortunate necessity.
Also, you think having a safe match is boring....try getting face camped match after match as either the hooked person or the survivors in a gen simulator. It's a ######### snoozefest.
I was quoting evilJoshy, who was quoting MigrandTheGreat, who made a post on the first page. About how make your choice, a killer perk that puts the expose effect on the person who makes a save, who unhooks another survivor is tunneling. Not the person who was hooked but the one who made the save. Promotes tunneling.
No i did not say safe matches, i said risky save as in unhooking a person when the killer is nearby. The thing burrow time was made for. Which if since a case didn't exist, there would be no point for burrow time, as i said in my post. Why do you seem to think i am in support of facecamping everytime you seem to reply to me? Congrats good sir, i have been the first person caught and campface by a bubba. Would you mind telling me who in this thread supports face camping? Since i have not seen it or overlooked it.
Which here is the thing, the thing about camping relays on context. Face camping bubba, is different from the killer taking a bit longer than normal to leave the hook. For sometimes a hook spawns right next to a gen. Meaning the killer will stay in the area a bit longer, to kick that gen, destroy that pallet which might be nearby. That or sometimes you get survivors who will swarm the hook, leave marks all over the place, making it clear as day they are in the area. Giving no reason for the killer to leave the area, when they are all coming to him. Like what happens in this game, where the killer player gets called a camper. When the survivors keep trying for a basement save, without waiting for the killer to leave first or trying to lure him away from the area. Which is why this heavily depends on context. Since not all games results in a face camping bubba. Sometimes the survivors just act stupid. https://youtu.be/VEcT_AIOKco

Wow, the overwhelming hypocrisy here is mind boggling. Saying survivors have zero incentive to hang around a hooked person is blatant BS as everybody will know. Then you say the only reason to do it is if the killer is in the area which is the exact case 100% of the time when a killer hooks somebody because in case you haven't been paying attention, they're not immediately teleported away from the map after the hooking animation finishes. Of course, there's the rampant hypocrisy of saying the survivor had valid to reason to camp if the killer is around while pretending that the killer doesn't have a valid reason to camp when another survivor is around.
There actually was a hook progression slow down test when the killer were within a certain distance of the hook at one point. But survivors would non stop rush the hook and keep the killer there (which is what still happens quite often now) and the killer would constantly be punished because the survivors gave him all the reason to stay near the hook. And of course, this was before the egc so the final hook was just an utter crap storm. Getting all 4 survivors out was even more ridiculously easy during that test phase.
I also wish this had a poll so I could watch you quickly wish this didn't have a poll. The idea of giving killers a movement speed slowdown for being near the hook for 5 seconds is one of the worst camping penalties suggested so far. Even most survivor mains would realize that's not a good idea.
Yeah last i look, a survivor could stay around near the hook area, to avoid the effects of bbq. With the killer having no idea if they are in a locker or nearby. That and once the killer leaves, will be able to unhook their buddy in safely and than go run off some place to heal in safely or depending on their perks, heal right under the hook. That and a few minor boldness points. For being near the killer. Yeah i would say there are some benefits to staying around near the hook person, for a bit at least. Long as they can remain hidden from the killer.

Is it really tunneling when your going after the person who made the rescue instead of the person pulled off the hook? You make it sound like the killer shouldn't go after anybody. If you go after the unhooked your tunneling. If you use MYC and chase the rescuer your tunneling. WHAT DO YOU EXPECT US TO DO? Let both of you go?.............on second thought don't answer that. I'm sure plenty of people in here legitimately believe the killer shouldn't go after anybody.
I find it funny when so many survivors say BBQ is OP. When in fact the devs created the perk to encourage killers to stop camping the hooks.
I love using DH. Now that ruin is crap I run DH more often. Most survivors don't look for totems unless there's a notice. DH doesn't give one until 3 stacks and by then I'm not letting you cleanse it.
Yeah some people just seem to want killers to not do anything. Like you go after the hook person you are camping/tunneling, go after the person who save them, you are tunneling. Like is the killer not meant to perform their goals of killing the survivors, by sitting in a corner while a survivor is on hook, so someone can free them with zero risk? Sounds like it would be boring for both killer and survivor if that happen and kind of defeat the point of burrow time, if Risky saves don't exist.

@SquirrelKnight said:
50% speed after 5 seconds, so you want facecamping games only then?
Yeah without knowing what counts as camping. Since going by the op idea. All we got is, standing near the hook. Which might not be camping. Since the other survivors could be swarming the hook, leaving marks around the area and other things, that tip off the killer they are nearby. That and as someone else pointed out, 5 seconds would not be enough time for a majority of killers to get out of range of the hook. Leading to punishment for the killer, even if they are speeding away from the hook. Which just punishes fair legit play. Yeah without a clear meaning of what camping is. Now if it was face camping, like A bubba standing in front of a hook to watch a survivor die. We would have a clear meaning we could talk about. Yet the op didn't give us that. So we have nothing to really work on. Since i seen people call a killer going between gens, to keep the survivors off of them, as camping. When that is one of the killers objectives, kill survivors before they can do gens and escape.

3 of us, 2 on the hook 2nd stage and me at the hatch, (hooked very close together) I could not save them, and didn't feel like trading, I'd have died anyway. I knew where the hatch was so I just left, instead of giving the killer the 4K.
Yeah that sounds like a perfect position for the killer to be in. Which yeah, with it being a nurse. Alot of things could go wrong performing that save. Be it the nurse using her power to get to you quickly. Or simply walking between the hooks and notices you.
Which as someone who has seen to many failed saves. I might be alone here but i would rather someone escape, than come back for me. If things were this risky. Since in your case, the risk was far to high vs the reward. Since i would rather one person get out, than for no one to get out.

I couldnn't save them, it was a nurse, camping and would've got me, I had no choice to leave them, so it's not my fault.
I take it you were the last one alive? Since yeah going to save someone else, if the killer is camping them. Is very risky and likely to result in your death. More so if you are injured. Since sometimes it better to just get out and escape, than go back. Since sure i sometimes seen it work. Epic last minute save. Other times it just turns into pure death for everyone and just ends up benefiting the killer more than it does any of the survivors.
Which yeah, don't worry about these unsportsman like players. I seen a lot of good sports but every now and then you just get that one bad sport that can ruin your day, even if everyone else is great.

Can also pair rather well with resilience. Heal to 99. Do the gen with the extra speed boost. Than when in danger, top yourself off and back to full health when you need it.

I take 'face camping' posts with a grain of salt. Mainly because I get labeled as a face camping when I'm doing everything except that. When I play survivor, I've seen two, three face camping players in the last week? I honestly don't know where all these posts about camping come from. Can I have some? I'm tired of doing two to three gens solo per match.
Yeah playing on the pc, while i have seen facecampers before. They are rather rare, next to the number of people who simply play the game normally. For everytime i think of a face camper, i can easily think of a dozen or more matches where the game is played normally.

Where are all of these camping/tunneling killers supposed to be at? I probably play twice as much survivor as killer and I rarely see camping and tunneling. I rarely use DS anymore because I almost never get use out of it.
I try using ds recently and petty much the same results as always. Timer runs out, due to killer chasing team mate. Making my ds pointless and feel like a waste of a perk slot in a majority of the matches i play with it on. Think it only save me once or twice. Next to easily a dozen or more points where it simply never came into play at all.
-
Yeah being able to choose your daily ritual would be nice. Do you want a survivor one or a killer one. Sometimes i feel like playing survivor but get a killer ritual. Sometimes it's the other way around.
Which making say even the lowest reward be 50k blood points. That would be about one level 50 blood web, if you spend it wisely. So not all that much. Yet would still be nice if you are trying to get tier three of a certain perk.

There are no toxic killers and there are no toxic survivors, there are just toxic people.
We need to stop this damn "us vs them" mentality and realize PEOPLE are toxic not the roles. Yes you will tend to see more survivor players being toxic because you have 4 of them vs 1 killer in a match and survivors have the ability to play with friends (likely encouraging such behavior amung them) but its not the role that's toxic, its the immature individual playing it.
Yeah i have to agree with ya. I think to many people seem to run into one awful player and than think everyone who plays x is like that. When as you say, it just a individual who are being jerks. Not some collection hive mind. Since i met alot of decent people, survivor and killer alike. Sure there are few jerks, which again has to do with them being jerks or wanting to ruin someone day, due to their own choice as an individual.

Right. I don't think it's camping if the killer is patrolling gens. That makes the survivors do something risky/tactical to get one of the last 3 gens done. If you've repaired all of the gens around and you leave yourself with 3 that are nearby, then as a survivor, you've screwed yourself and hopefully you'll learn in the near future to not leave yourself like that.
That and could lead to more interactions between survivor and killer when a three gen happens. Can lead to a nice few extra blood points for both sides. That or some good team work to get the gens done. Which yeah i just think it very helpful to have a clear meaning, since some have odds idea out there about what camping is. Since when i think of camping, i think of the face camping Bubba. Who will stare at you until death.
Since the thing that often rewards camping, is a lack of information. Since if the survivors are just solo randoms thrown together. They often lack the information to know someone is face camping, until it's late and it just turns into a slaughter. Of course recently i have been seeing more survivors running kindred. Which does help to give a lot of information. Which could possibly counter camping, if the kindred user is on hook and now everyone notices the camping killer. Well going with the idea the survivor doesn't kill themselves on hook. It could at least allow the others to get out while denying the killer as many blood points as possible. Of course if the survivor does kill themselves on hook. I can't blame them for it, if they are truly being face camped. Since it just no fun being unable to do anything besides break your space bar button when struggle comes up.

You're right; those perks don't do enough imo—especially DS which only works once. I don't think there is a way to completely eliminate camping or tunneling. I do, however, consider the game could implement some determent to discourage The Killer. Imo The Killer should always have the freedom and discretion to camp and tunnel if they want.
This issue reminds me of another major AAA title faced with one side engaging in behavior that wasn't an exploit, but it ruined the experience for the other player. They did some score and in-game "soft punishments" as they called it to deter the behavior but still allowing it. It was effective bc everyone stopped. The equivalent in DBD would involve points deducting at an accelerated rate in real-time during the match, capping the emblem at maybe Silver quality, bringing the Sacrificial Sequence to a crawl (perhaps 3x the standard rate) and providing a nice BP bonus to the victim, so they are encouraged to struggle. Idk what the anti-tunnel equiv would be bc the game is so different.
Let me clarify that I am not necessarily saying this is the solution for DBD. Each game and the devs have different goals they wish to advance. I am just posting the info bc I thought it was interesting for people to read and see how some other games have dealt with behavior, not at the level of getting banned but enough that they didn't want you doing it. I think camping and tunneling are in this category.
Well before any sort of system is put into place. It might be a good idea to get a clear idea of what camping and tunneling is or to put it another way, what counts as camping and tunneling. Since i seen people call the killer going back and forth between gens camping, when that is one of the killers objectives. To keep the survivors off gens, while trying to kill them.
-
You know what. This idea sounds simple but genius. Since one of the reasons to get a character is for their perks but if you already have them. Well all that is left is for playing the character themselves. Sounds like a great idea to give a discount, if they already brought the perks, to get them to play more or spend these shards to get the character and try out something new.

My point here is, both are annoying, but we can do things to prevent both of them and play around them, you people just like acting childish
The killer is camping? Just do gens and escape. Dont feed him hooks.
The killer is tunneling? Same.
You are getting "genrushed"? It was most likely you fault, just take advantage of the situation and make survivors 3 gen themselves.
The same killers that complain that about DS and BT are also the same that say tunneling and camping are legit strategies.
Yeah a good three gen [sometimes you can make it a four gen due to getting lucky with gen spawns], can make a game alot longer. Allowing you to get more blood points and possible turn it around in your favor as you get a kill or two. Did see someone call it camping once. Due to using the three gen plan as clown. Going back and forth between gens is camping.
Yeah i rarely use ds. I think it only really saved me once. Majority of the time, it never gets used. Killer waits the timer out or my team mates are nearby and get in a chase with the killer. Making my timer go to waste. Rendering the perk useless for me, of course i could just have bad luck with ds. Might work better on some of the other survivors i seen, who have a habit of always running straight into the killer and jump scaring them.
Burrow time on the other hand. Love it. Everytime i run it, it always comes in handy. Perfect for risky saves like the basement or ensuring you get tokens for we're gonna live forever. Which heck, all burrow time really does. Is just make the unhook person into a 2 hit, resulting it being the same as if you when after the the person who save them. That or you can wait out the timer before hitting them. In cases where the person unhooking the other survivor is injured, well go after the saver, for a hook trade. Now maybe there is something i'm missing here but i never understood the dislike for burrow time as a killer. Now maybe it's due to playing survivor as well, where it a life saver at times or just very handy to have around just in case. That or maybe there is some context that happen in a certain game or two i'm missing. Yet burrow time seems fine to me.

But then when my friends and I spawn next to each other and have a tbag greeting party we'll be exhausted... u_u
Seriously, though, tbags are for more than just being toxic. It's half of how survivors can communicate, and game mechanics probably wouldn't be able to differentiate. When I play killer, I either smack the person or go find someone else so I don't have to deal with it - either way, I'm not actually stuck on a screen waiting to die.
Heck once after it was clear the game was over and three survivors would escape. Killer and survivors had a dance party by tbagging and spinning around. It was rather fun, to have a silly moment at the end of the match.
-
Well, i take it by camping you mean face camping someone to death? Staring at them until they die or just hanging around the hook until their victim dies or someone comes to save them? For i think it would be a good idea to make sure everyone has the same idea as to what camping means. Since i seen people call patrolling gens camping and toxic.

My point wasn't that if you're a gamer than you're toxic by default, my point was that the gaming community is known for having people with some really terrible attitudes toward one another, and some of the more argumentative ones found and started playing DBD and might've made their way to these forums.
Fair enough.

Yeah the thing is, i don't think some people get the idea you need both survivors and killers to play the game. That and even if someone is x main. Well how does that degrade the point they make any way shape or form? Since it like how does playing the game, degrade or lessen your point about the game? Since if they make a good point, it going to be a good point. No matter if they are a survivor or killer main. For there will still be logic in it. Making it seem like these survivors were the rather poor from what little context we have been shown. That and two matches is such a small sample size, that is simply to small of a sample size and only from the point of view of a single killer. All 4 escaped (he still got a few Hooks), and instead of blaming Gen Speed, SWF or the Map, he was like "gg" and "I spend too much time on you". Like - seeing the problem right away and not blaming the "toxic 4 man SWF" which was in fact a 2 man and 2 Solos or that Gens go too fast.
There is still hope that normal people exist in this game.

I don't know. People talking about how balance certain things are in a game sounds normal to me. Since it happens in every game i can think of. Battle for middle earth series had balance patches. People talk about how balance or overpower things were in dragon age origins.

Well in the case of tf2. You can harm your team if you over stack on a class, like to many snipers or spies. While the same cannot really happen for survivors or killer. Since you are part of a team which has all the same basic features as you, with perks changing that up. While Killer you are solo, you are the only class. So no matter if you like one or the other more. You can always enjoy it, without having to worry about having to many of x class.

On top of that, it is surprising me when Killer mains complain about a key when they have Ebony Mori. That thing is basicly a free win, but not the key (down one person, tunnel him off the hook, make the game early a unwinable 3v1 situation, gg)
That only if everyone is alive. Only 4 gens are needed for three survivors. Three gens need to be done for two and well a single survivor left, it doesn't matter how many gens are done, the hatch will spawn if only a single survivor is left.

A lot of those times, it's the killer that finds me and if I'm on my last hook, you bet I will just run to the hatch and use the key to escape, leaving the others behind.
Yeah depending on the context, sometimes it just better to escape than risk it. Since i seen a fair few games go south, due to everyone trying to save one person. Turning a game from a three man escape, to one person escape or just a total slaughter. Sometimes it just best to escape with what you have on hand.

From what i seen. Na most people you meet will be rather chill. At least from my experience playing on pc [in game that is]. Once here and there, you will come across someone who will be less than friendly. Yet that is the normal, whenever you gather a big enough following. Yet if you want to avoid it as much as possible, just group up with friends. Play a bit of survivor first, to get use to the maps and common loops you will find. It will help if you ever play killer. Which odds are in your first few games as survivor, you are not going to make it out alive. Don't worry it happens. Which if you are looking for more blood points, starting with David King might be a good idea. Since one of his perks is we're gonna live forever and you only need to get him to level 30 to unlock it for other survivors. Which rewards you more blood points, for taking protection hits or saving people off the hook.
Which if you are going to play killer, leatherface dlc might be worth it for the perk bbq and chili. You get more blood points at the end of the game, each time you hook a survivor for the first time. Along with giving possible useful information to find out where other survivors are. Making it have uses for more than just blood points. Which as for killers, well depends on what you are interested in. Some are sneaky sneak like Ghostface, others can surf across the map like Billy.

Well obviously survivors shouldnt appreciate hookfarmers.
Sorry but it isnt just the killer to blame for this "cheap play". IF they're even partially to blame for this.
Yeah depending on the context, sometimes the fault has to lay with the survivors. Since sometimes survivors do rather poor plays or make a unsafe save. Like sometimes healing under the hook might be good if you know the killer is on the other side of map, other times not so much.
Since sometimes it the survivor who runs straight into the killer, jump scaring the killer. Due to not looking at what is in front of them. That or they make it clear as heck, that yeah they are going for the save by doing something to tip off the killer.

Apparently you've never heard the expression "agree to disagree". I can disagree with your opinion of how that match scenario would play out without haven't to educate you on why. I don't know why you think I need to spoon feed you the details of my opposition to that part of your commentary, when that part of the commentary was secondary to this post's topic in the first place. Trust me, this whole forum is a waste of time (yours and mine)...so that's not the insult you think it is. I never claimed you said it was unsportsmanlike...in fact, my original comment was not even directed at you. Your obsession with conversing with me about something off-topic to this thread is weird. Again, I am not lazy, although I appreciate your cheap attempts to insult me in that way, I just choose to stay relatively on topic and don't have any obligation to educate you.
Agree to disagree is different from saying my logic is flawed. That and you quoted me more than once now. You are replying to my words sir. That what quoting is about and used for. That and if the forums are a waste of time, if you truly believe that. Why are you here and not making better use of your time else where?
Your statement of "don't have any obligation to educate you", just proves you are 100% a twitter feminist in mind set. That what they do. They bring up a point they disagree with, laugh and mock at it or say it flawed somehow. Yet when challenge or ask to state their point of view or merely ask how is this point of view flawed? They refuse to give an answer. Than give a reply like your own, go educate yourself or they don't have any obligation to educate others. That and if you have been reading this thread, others have brought up the idea of if someone is being faced camped, the other survivors can just do gens and escape. Showing others agree or think like myself. You say this is flawed but never why. Hmm why would someone who has this knowledge as to why this point of view is flawed would keep it to themselves. Hmm, maybe it due to you having no point, no argument to make. Which is all it seems like by keeping it to yourself, making only you look bad as if you have no true point. Saying this logic is flawed, is so vague of a statement, it relays on others having to read your mind or make up their own meaning for why this logic is flawed, that survivors can do gens and escaped if a killer is just staring at someone they hook until death. Sir in a debate, it not my job to make your point for you. That is your job, to point out why the logic of "Survivors doing gens and can escaped the killer, if someone is being facecamped" is flawed. For by refusing to make any statement, not only do you deny any chance of people agreeing with you, but also deny any possible chance of people changing their minds and only makes you look bad, by making it seem like you have no argument. If the point of view was so flawed. Surely it would be simple and easy to point to at least one or two statements of where survivors doing gens to escape a face camping killer is bad logic or flawed in some way.

You quote me sir. If you were not speaking to me. There would be no point in quoting me. Sir if you think these forums are a waste of time, why are you on them? Sir you said my point was flawed to make my point look bad. That is not agree to disagree, that is saying my point is weak or flawed somehow. Questioning the logic of my point, is far from different from saying i merely disagree with this statement.
You don't have any obilgation to educate me? You do know you just became the twitter feminist i spoke of. That what twitter feminist do, they bring up a point they disagree with. They have no counter points and so refuse to state them, for they know they have nothing to counter with. So they state something akin to go educate yourself. I am not the only one in this thread who brought up the idea, in the time it takes for the person on hook to die. The survivors can get the gens done and escape. So clearly others agree with my point of view. Yet your refusal to state any counter point only makes you look bad. For it shows you have no point, no argument. That and how i am meant to learn something that you clearly know the counter point to, yet refuse to share. Hmm, if you had a good counter point. You could of shared it and get people on your side or at least see a different point of view and yet refuse to share it. Hmm, i wonder why. Oh right you have no point, you have no counter to it. Otherwise you would of said it by now and stop acting like you are better than other people. Sure i do not need to be educated. In a debate sir, it is your job to make a case for your statement. I am not here to make your point for you sir. That is your job, to point out why the logic of survivors can do gens and get away if the killer is face camping one of them is flawed.

No, you missed my point, which - again - was that face camping is unsportsmanlike and unfair for the person its happening to. That was my ONLY point. My original point and the point I have reiterated SEVERAL TIMES now, but you don't seem to grasp.
My second post literally said, "I WON'T EVEN GET INTO ALL THE FLAWS....". What part of that statement meant do you think meant, "Please, ignore my point and focus on this exactly thing I clearly disagree with but don't want to debate in a thread that's not intended for that topic - one I have already discussed till I was blue in the face."
Again, just because I don't want to engage you in the conversation you -want- to have, does not negate my original (and actual) point at all. I'm glad we agree.
You do know, most people won't don't want to talk about something. Don't bring it up. Why did you take your time to point it and bring it up. If you didn't want to talk about it. Why did you waste your time bringing it up, if you didn't want to talk about it? Wow this is just like a person on twitter. Lolz go teach yourself, might as well been your reply. Since you disagree with point i made but are to lazy to counter it. Sir you are the one who started my point was flawed, you are the one who started that conversation and brought it up as a point, not i. Congrats sir on wasting your own time.
I never once said it was sportsmanlike to face camp a player. So you just like to hear your own voice and choose to disagree with me for no real reason then. Since you are to lazy to make a single point against the thing you disagree with.

A majority of my games have been rather normal. Have not seen very many trying to farm on the pc.

It's not lazy, I'm just not engaging you in the conversation you want to have because it's unnecessary. My comment was a very simple statement. It is unsportsmanlike, and unfair to the person it's being done to, to face camp. There's really no debate in that. It just is what it is.
Yet that was not the point you were trying to make in your last reply. You said you had points against the other survivors will win the game if they do gens, while a killer is face camping someone. That was the point you were trying to debate from my original post. The one thing you pointed out that you had a disagreement with.

This is such a long explanation for nothing. What you're describing doesn't negate my point at all. It is still unsportsmanlike game play and unfair for the person being face camped to death. Period. I won't even get into all the flaws in the whole "zomg, if the killer lyke face campz, yall can do all the genZzZzZz!!". :|
See you said it right here. Talking about the idea others can do the gens and escape, is flawed but never stated how it flaw.
That and if you took the time to read my original post. You would see i would agree with you, that it not fun for the person getting camped.

The op was talking about face camping. Where they hook their first survivor and just watch them die on the hook. Which is normally a losing tactic. Since it just gives time for the other survivors to just get gens done. Leading to 3 people escaping if not four. Like in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWLf0ezuvNg Well unless everyone tries to make the hook save and die.
Since while the killer is doing this, they are not getting into chases, getting hits or using their special ability. Denying them blood points. So yes it no fun for the person being face camped. Since they can't do anything at all for what might be most of the game. Yet as long as the team mates are doing gens. The killer is only really harming themselves and one other person. It could be the killer is new or they want to face camp someone for reasons. Yet if they are face camping like in the video i link, all they are really doing is throwing the game and handing it to the survivors. In terms of letting them get away and pull off a successful escape for the majority of their team.

Killer side, been going rather well. One or two matchs that simply didn't happen due to someone dc while the game was loading. Did have a few where someone crawl out, due to them playing rather well and getting the gates open. Only had time to grab one of them before the other left. That and one funny game, where i was wondering where the last survivor was. I closed the hatch, time was almost up and than finally as i'm going between the two gates. They show up and pop up out of no where. It was like seeing a ninja show up out of the blue. It was rather funny.
Survivor side, same as normal. Doing the gens. Team mates have been rather decent i dare say. Have not seen any face camping or tunnels in awhile. Of course do see a mori from time to time. Yet the majority of killers don't have a mori, from the games i played at least.

So you have the knowledge i seem to lack to make counter points but won't. This is as lazy as someone on twitter going, do your own research.
Since how is anyone meant to agree with your point of view or have it change, if you are not even willing to state a single counter point?

No. It may be allowed, but it is NOT sportsmanlike nor is it fair for the person it's happening to.

You know, i have no idea why but i feel like i would love to eat some potatos right now. :P
On a more serious note. Yeah we all mess up sometimes. Like i will go and do something in game and than i go ah right, i mess up. Should of done x rather than y.

Sending a "gg" in the post-game chat regardless if you won or lost is a nice gesture.
I also went against a Killer trying to do the Grabbing Challenge of the Archives, I noticed he was trying to do it, and let them grab me. They then started farming with me, gave me the Hatch, and we started playing SWF together.
Yeah i just see gg as a sign of good sportsman ship. Why i normally say it and than follow it up with good luck have fun everyone.
That or a personal thanks, when the killer gives me the hatch. Since they didn't have to do it. Yet did it anyway. For a bit of good will and sportsmanship can go along way.

They don't get rewarded for it.
Unless you count way less BP and pretty much an automatic de-pip as a reward, which I don't think most people do.
What's weird is this is clearly the fault of the survivor teammates who played the unhooked situation in the dumbest way possible. No attempt at an unhook, doing it right in front of the killer, etc. But somehow you resort to blaming the killer? I'm a little confused.
I agree, face camping bites a big one, but outside of coming to every killer player's house and giving them a spanking if they do it I don't know what else you expect them to actually do.
Yeah it does sound like it might of been the team mates. With how eager they were for the save. Since they might of tip off the killer they were nearby. Making hanging around the hook a good idea or doing a loop around.
Unless it was just stare at the person until they die. Like in this video. Which would be a different case. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWLf0ezuvNg
-
Yeah i seen a few people die to it. Normally due to wasting time before going to the boxes or the boxes being spread out across a large map, that they just had bad luck and was unable to get to the right one in time.
-
Well the true question is, do you wanna be a space cowboy who plays a lot of fps or a honor or rather not so honorable samurai who speeds across the battlefield after channeling the power of the blood god by collecting blood orbs?

@FFirebrandd said:
I've only played killer since the event started. Closest thing I've seen is that survivors seem overly eager to get protection hits.
Sounds like they might be running we're gonna live forever. That or just want the blood points for taking a hit.

I have not notice a single one so far, since the start of this blood hunt. Everyone been playing the game normally.
