Here's an answer to the original question:
Your death.

I bring moris into matches where survivors equip toolboxes. If they play normal I hook normal. If they sabo I mori in front of the sabotaged hook.I don't get the salt over sabotage. Frankly, the best thing a survivor can do to me is waste their own time by sabotaging. It's ineffective, and they're giving up gen time by doing that. Fine by me.
And on the rare occasion when one of them manages to finish a 99-ed hook right in front of me while I'm carrying someone - well, at least this requires some skilled timing and planning, so it deserves some respect. Definitely no reason to get mad about it.
-
Agreed. So funny to see I'm maxing out my Deviousness points on Wraith after a mere 3 (three!) Surprise Attacks and a bit of Stalk.
Also, I'd love to see practically ANY effect that increases BP gain on Sacrifice and Survival categories. These are the ones notoriously known for being tough to max out, especially Survival. All the others have practically limitless sources, but these two have caps due to the gameplay mechanics.

Heh, normally I would say it's an ######### thing to do, but unlike other events, this one encourages genrush so much that I feel I just had enough of it.Dustin said:@George_Soros said:

Give no indication that you're in the Dream World

Cumulating penalties for repeatedly waking up and sleeping again.
And on a small, but important note: no wake up by SC! -
I love Creeping Vines. Much of the rest looks a bit too strong, but basically anything against pallets, windows, and generators would be welcome.
I hate those things. -
Well, it's Japan. Probably sold it to a horny but shy businessman.
That's how things work there. If only I could do the same with my Smelly Inner Soles...

@PinkEricka : but they ARE free. It's not like you pay actual money for these cosmetics. And getting the first three items don't take that long either.
And if you don't like the long survivor queues: play killer! Join us on the Salty Side.

Incorrect. You do get a slight higher % chance of getting more rares, very rares, and ultra rares and less commons and uncommons in your blood web.
So more grind...
Yeah you would think this game was f2p with all this grinding hehe.
The extra "grind" you're talking about is literally like a couple hours worth of bloodpoints. I can get a p3 lvl 50 character in one week if I have a killer with BBQ and survivor puddings.
True, I think it costs about 1.2-1.3M BP to bring a lvl 1 character to lvl 50.
The real grind is when you try to get every last perk for the poor sucker. I don't even know how much BP you need for that. 30M? 40M?
I have 1 perk left to get for my Claudette (then to get them all Rank 3). Then I will work on Jake.
Is it worth it? Probably not but as a completionist in just about every game I play, I need to do it.
I'd say not very much. I'm trying to rank up two other survivors aside from my favourite Kate, but in the meanwhile feel stupid for it. It's enough to have one survivor up there, seeing as how there's no difference between them.
Killers, on the other hand... you have to level them up, each one of them that you play, since, unlike survivors, they differ. I got 6 of them on P3 all perks, with Legion on the way. Insane grind, although at least you get some serious bloodpoints when playing killer. -
@Rex_Huin said:
I am happy to speculate that the vast majority of killer mains have also spent a decent amount of hours on survivor but that there are many survivor mains who have never / barely touched killer. It would seem odd. I know I started by playing only survivor for my first hundred hours, but only because I was on a low end laptop, I didn't want to risk hosting on a weak config. But other than that, why would someone intentionally play the evil side exclusively? Killer is fun too, if frustrating at times.

Killer, because that's the side I suck at a little less.

He got looped by one guy for most of the game. Looped....as Clown!!
I trust you went ahead and offered him some non-condescending, friendly advice about how to get more effective as Clown. You did, right?
He leave chat as soon as game ended.
I used to try and give people advice but they take offence to losing and being offered advice so I dont bother anymore.
Occasionally they do though. There's a world of difference between having your ass handed to you but also being offered a bit of friendliness afterwards, or the same thing followed by caustic remarks or naughty glee. That difference makes new players stay or leave.
But I feel you, sometimes one just won't overcome his hurt pride no matter what. And I suspect it happens mostly to experienced players, the ones who expect a lot from themselves. That's when a defeat hurts the most. It's easier to handle when we can chalk it up to inexperience.

Redhead's Pinky and Garish Makeup Kit
Bamboozle
Blood Warden
Haunted
DevourI guess any offering will do, though obviously the best ones are map offerings (Jigsaw Piece!!!!)

Featuring today: Insidious. Watch how our players fight over the completely unlikely and unnecessary removal of a perk that occasionally may or may not lead to a sense of frustration of an undefined number of our players. Flames! Salt! Lols! Arguments! (Nah, I'm just screwing with you with this last one.)
Stay tuned next week too, when our hot topic is: Wake Up OP, REMOVE!... i'm gonna post a thread next week tilted "remove Wake Up"

I love the current Nurse mori (the only thing I like about her in fact).
But this one is adorable. Nice job

There are better cosmetics for every single character than the prestige ones.
I still like prestiging, if only to show my love

Not exactly though, I believe cloaking/uncloaking is not, while using a chainsaw is considered an offensive action, regardless of hit or miss (correct me if wrong though). Just for example.Orion said:@George_Soros said:
The Clown would love it for sure. Don't know if many of you know it, but a single bottle throw is considered an "offensive action", taking a token away. He's the one killer on whom PWYF is the most useless by far.All powers are considered "offensive actions", for whatever reason. It used to be that only actually offensive actions were considered as such.
To be honest, I feel OP's suggestion would be somewhat... well, OP. But there has to be some middle ground. -

Agreed. One can do amazing with Freddy, in any rank. I'm worried too that any buff/rework coming his way would just be some overly simple approach, like shortening dream transition, tweaking lullaby/TR, etc.
Guy has so much potential. I could imagine a lot of inventive ways to change his mechanics, but I do hope he will not get some simple minded steroid treatment of basic buffs. -

I want to buy it as a gift. Four sets of them, actually.

Like it a lot, although it's frustrating: not enough offerings (that's the biggest problem I think), and even when there are a few, it's hard to find those damn vessels in the short time while someone is hooked. As survivor too, it's infuriating when I get hooked while carrying, especially when nearing endgame.
But I always say, this game is good exactly because it can drive us maaaaaaaaaaaaad. And let's not forget, more than previous events, this one offers of a chance to play normally.
And finally, there's all those clowns shrieking about how incompetent devs are, how their lives are utterly ruined because of this horrible event, how they'll never play again... such a joy to watch

-
Hope just saved my vessel-carrying ass yesterday, escaped really just by a hair. Very neat against 110% killers, in this case, a Legion. The heal effect of Adrenaline makes it superior, but still, Hope can be great.

I'm actually grateful: so nice to have nearly instant lobbies as killer.

How is it scummy? I mean, yeah it is, but head pops are so funny. I hardly ever use Pig but would definitely have a fun time doing that. And it's just as funny from the survivor side, unless one considers a game a life and death matter.fluffybunny said:Can we talk real quick about how sketchy that is? You're following after a survivor you're bound not to lose (especially if their helmet is on, just follow the noise) and the survivor is unable to do anything without being pulled off and their timer is still going off, despite being chased by the killer, technically. It's a scummy technique and I think the Devs should definitely look into it.
-
Time to prestige.
-
I agree. I got it, but at least 15 out of the 25 was done with the help of some friendly survivors who recognized what I was up to. Not only that, but the whole concept of what you have to do to register points for this achievement goes against common sense and effective gameplay. And then there's the incredibly sloppy work with description. If, for some unfathomable reason the devs are adamant to leave the requirement of the achievement as it is, at least the text should be corrected.
-
Talk to them.

There is a subtle but fatal scientific error in your otherwise very well thought over concept. The best I can explain it is by responding directly to your discussion title:"SO YOU WANT TO TRULY SOLVE CAMPING?"
No.
A lot of members do. It's not an ignorable issue.
Complaints become more valid based on frequency and always tell that something is inherently wrong about something else, but may not always communicate what exactly and in which manner.
More seriously: being camped can be frustrating, sure but it's mostly newer players, say, under 500 hours, who keep complaining about it. Anyone beyond that knows that real camping is in fact very rare. And even if it were not so, even if every killer were hard camping in every game, it would still mean that any survivor gets camped in 25% of their games in average.
Really not that stressful. A little, yes, but when it comes to the playerbase, it's quality we need, not quantity. And quality means emotionally stable players who can take a loss every once in a while, however frustrating, without giving up on the game. -

If so, anything wrong with that? Not really... but be honest about it, if they did exclude it from the shrine. I bought LF anyways. If I was one of the people holding out on the shrine, I'd be annoyed, but I would have caved long ago.
With the amount of points you miss out on.. the couple of bucks are worth it if you play killer allot and this game allot.
Yea, I completely agree that honesty is always better. Although in BHVR's defense, a lot of players are too immature to take the information "we purposefully never put BBQ on the Shrine" as it is: a sensible business decision. "The Cannibal" and his perks are their intellectual property, there's nothing wrong with trying to make players cough up a tiny bit of money for it. And like others mentioned, it comes with two other decent perks.
But some people will always cry "GREEEEED" -
@ShyN3ko said:
I rly like the NOED + Blood Warden combo.
But i never use blood warden without NOED.I think it's not a good idea. NOED is too weak, any survivor with half a brain will remember some totem spots, and you can't effectively patrol both gates and your hex totem, unless totem is in a very lucky spot.
You don't need NOED for BW: just time your hits when last gen is about to be done. Adrenaline can screw you over big time (God I hate that perk), but it's a risk you have to take. Otherwise, the time it takes between last gen popping and exit gates opening should be more than enough to down someone.

@TheBean said:
I think BBQ is worth the couple of bucks... but yeah weird why it still hasn't show up yet... well over a year now. It is becoming apparent that BBQ has been excluded from the shrine and the Devs don't want to tell everyone that is has.Sorry BHVR... BBQ not showing up still... Either shrine broken... the RNG should be tweaked.... Or you've purposely excluded it from the shrine RNG (which I believe you've done).
If so, anything wrong with that?

They don't know my pain. My sacred duty is to make them feel it.

Sounds like Minecraft. Hack, hack, hack. Not a lot of fun.
I like the other idea though: getting rid of undergrowth or corn would be so much fun.
I propose a new killer idea: The Combine Harvester. Would probably suck at Léry's, but hey, no one's perfect. -
@Chi I was about to defend this Huntress: the way I see it tunneling is great if done early, and sometimes it just does not work out well, then you're stuck between two bad choices: chase people who haven't been hooked and risk a 0K, or try to tunnel at least one to oblivion, also leading to a loss.
Until I got to where she says "you used Dead Hard". That cracked me up. DH is by far the worst exhaustion perk, and even if it weren't, so what... she wants to punish players for using perks? I understand the frustration (it sucks to chase a good looper for 3-4 gens), but still...
Some players, both killers and survivors are beyond moronic... Hope you had a good laugh about it. -
Yeah right. Do it with Wraith or Freddy, then come and brag about it.
-
Can't wait to get home and start (continue...) wasting my life! And all these grumpy comments in the forums and in endgame chat ("last event was the worst... the one before was even worse than that... but this one is going to be the worstest ever....."), well, these just make it all the more sweet
