If it makes you feel better rank isn’t important. If you feel like you’re not having any fun, or need to leave then you may leave. You only get a derank penalty, but you can always rank up again if you can.
Personally I think ranking up as killer is quite easy in my experience.
-
Okay so once I was trying to save the last person who was getting camped while all of the gates were opened. Basically 2 people escaped leaving me and this person behind. I tried to unhook but they ended up getting downed and I was trying to save them again (with my borrowed time) and they ended up dying on the hook.
I knew exactly where the hatch was as well, it was in one of the the killer’s shack right nearby the basement. I was already injured at the second attempt of trying to unhook that person so I jumped over one of the windows (got hit while doing so and basically I was in the dying state) but I managed to go away in the hatch.
I felt so happy lmao -
I was thinking of making it perk but I thought we were lacking of offerings but yeah you’re right.MasonHugsCats said:Maybe if it was a perk I'd use it, that does too much as an offering. -

Imagine getting killed by an edgy teenager epic gamer fail *sad face* :^((((

A lot of survivors would most likely include that they’re a “camper, proxy camper, they tunnel, or slug in games” etc to most killer’s profiles. They might even leave insults I feel like this would be more of an issue tbh.
I don’t camp, but even the devs support the fact that camping is indeed considered a strategy. Despite how poor it is, it’s still part of the gameplay.
I understand it’s frustrating; it really is. When I get camped at the worst times (literally not being hit all game as well) it boils my blood lmao. But you can always just move onto the next game and just deal with it.
BIG OOF! -
I think it’s fine the way it is lmao.

L for killers
-
No, honestly it makes longer chases which means more gens can be done more faster. At first I thought it was kinda new but it doesn’t really make much of a difference aside from taking longer to heal.
Mending isn’t even in affect by nurses calling either so L again for killers.

It’s just frustrating. That’s all.Malakir said:

Oh yeah I know that it’s just, this game has been the most toxic by far. Every game has those sides, especially games like COD or Overwatch but still it’s just so frequent I’m so glad this game doesn’t have voice chat for it lmao.Fibijean said:I mean, expressing your opinions about a game on a forum dedicated to just that I think is perfectly fine, as long as you can do it in a calm and rational manner. It's perfectly okay to disagree and discuss different points of view. Just because we enjoy the game doesn't mean that people can't/won't have complaints.
Having said that, I do wholeheartedly agree that there's far to much toxicity, name calling and general unpleasantness around here, not to mention the whole "us vs. them" mentality. If someone makes an argument in defense of a survivor or a killer mechanic/perk/build/strategy/whatever, there's always going to be someone saying something to the effect of "you entitled [insert role being defended here] mains are all the same". It's pretty sad. But as for people who abuse people ingame, those kind of people are always going to be like that no matter what they're playing. Just ignore them, and feel sorry for them because they must be such an angry, bitter, pathetic person to find enjoyment out of hurling abuse at strangers over a video game.

Right now the layout for this game is great. It's never been better. The shards for cosmetics (80% of them) is awesome. However there's a few things that are lacking. I'll explain some things that would really enhance this great game further and spice it up.
-EMBLEM XP bonus. 0-18 XP for the highest emblem earned? I don't get it. It should be 0-100 bonus AT LEAST. 0-18 XP is way way too far small to even be worth noting. 0-100 is also small, but obviously a larger amount.
-Shards - Having them as a currency and not capped is great. We should have other ways to obtain them, OR maybe have the quarterly SHARD event or something where it is 1.5x or 2x? That would be awesome.
Prestiging - When someone prestiges a character, the bloody cosmetic is very cool yes, but we should get a shard bonus of 2k or something. So at the very least we have bonus that we can use to either buy something in the shrine, exchange it for BP or... save up for that cool cosmetic. The reward for prestiging just isn't that good. It needs something else at the cost of losing EVERYTHING for a bloody cosmetic.
XP - If the shard event would be off the table, how about keep everything alone and just do a 2xp event for a weekend every quarter? And the REWARD for hitting every "Devotion" level should be a substantial amount of shards. 300 shards from level 75-100 is just bland. 300 shards from 75-90, then 400 shards from 91-99 and then at the next devotion level or "100" you get a bonus of 500 shards. Or preferably 1,000. You do have to be dedicated to play enough to reach 1 devotion level (100 levels).
And lastly...
Ranked Rewards - It is lacking tremendously. It is just for bragging rights at this point, and it is to shake out skill levels and who plays who. There's not even a trophy on console for being rank 1. PS4 should have a Rank 1 trophy and a rank 4 trophy. 1 trophy for getting into the red ranks and 1 clearly for being top rank.
The ranking system is fine. The 15 threshold is a good idea, but we're not getting anyone for playing for X rank. Rewards can either be shards (preferable) or a seasonally (monthly) cosmetic for people to get.
I would do something like this:
Rank 1 - Exclusive Cosmetic for survivor/killer AND 1,000 shards when rank resets as a bonus.
Ranks 2-4 - 500 shard bonus with a plain, simple cosmetic for killer/survivor
Ranks 5-8 - 400 shard bonus. Nothing else.
Ranks 9-12 - 300 shards
Ranks 13+ NOTHING. Or maybe give the lower ranking players 150 shards?
My point is that high rank players should be rewarded, it would create drive, more people playing even than now and more competitiveness.
My suggestions for rewards are very conservative and I would prefer a bit more.
With all the new cosmetics constantly coming... it would encourage people to play more, and probably buy more cells anyways.
What you guys think?
You say that 80% of the cosmetics can be bought through iridescent shards. However, if they implemented everything that you have mentioned; it would be completely over the top. There would be no point in buying real money for these items.
However I do agree with the fact that we don't get AS much or leveling up does take time. You literally have to level your profile level all the way to 100 + prestige to obtain one full cosmetic outfit which does sound a bit much.
I think the best option would probably be once you prestige you get 2k of these. But that's just my opinion.
Then again, if you got iridescent shards every rank reset it would most likely encourage players to play more and be in better ranks.
Edit: spelling errors

Okay so I join a game that literally took 2-4 minutes to even load in. It’s super laggy and I can’t stand teleporting everywhere it’s just unplayable, I try to literally leave and I end up getting downed so I just left at that point. My PS4 settings messages are set to friends only, and someone who was on my team ended up messaging me calling me names and stuff.
God this community is so toxic lmao
So you already got downed, but you still DCed? Classic

Yeah you’re right actually but I was playing at around 3-4 am at the time so I was way too tired to think properly lmfao.Damarus said:NOED is for people who have to rely on end game, because they couldn't kill survivors before they got there. In other words, it's a perk noobs use. Besides, there is no reason to use NOED if you're bringing an Ebony Mori. Spirit Fury would be way better. The rest of the build is pretty fine, I myself use Sloppy Butcher. I would swap Iron Grasp for Ruin or Enduring, the latter especially if you plan on adding Spirit Fury.

Most PS4 red rank survivors are boosted. I derank myself all the time just to avoid that section of the game. Its so bad, imo purple ranks are the best place to be. The survivors play better and the Killers are much more fun to play against.Gamzello said:Hi. If you're like me, a moron, don't derank. You get new survivors, or people who play very poorly at the game. Along with killers who are likely more to camp more than ever. I'd take a mori over camping anytime. The game doesn't even become challenging, it just feels like smurfing and I almost feel bad because I feel like I'm bullying bad/new killers.
DON'T DERANK!
(I only deranked because I play solo, and when I was rank 8-11 lobbies would literally take 15-20+ minutes to find so I couldn't handle it anymore LMAO.)

I don't think you should've stayed in a lobby for a complete hour my guy. You should've at least cancelled and research lmao.

He gets me every time yeah im a noob and stuff but any tips I know how to break the dream but he still gets me always it seemsI don't think I've ever died from a Freddy but what I usually do is find a generator and attempt to do a failed skill check then leave the area once I'm no longer in the dream.
If you want to be more on the safe side, use the 'Bond' perk. Dwight has it, and it basically locates your teammates around you. They can wake you up if you're in the dream state.
For the doctor, the only thing you can do is just stay away from his shock therapy. It's normally on the ground and the best thing to do is just run out of it. It's the only counter.
Good luck!

Honestly I'm still playing even with all of the nerfs added. I'm a survivor main who occasionally plays killer but I still have a lot of fun (most of the time) playing this game.
Still really love this game still after 4 months of getting it! Trying to learn how to use dead hard properly.

I got that bug where the survivor rescuing me on hook got hit, and I bugged out in the hooked animation, so even when he healed,-I was Meg at the time- I was stuck in the hooked animation. I went across the map floating in the air and leading all the players to gens like a mother goose with her goslings, until I got hit by the killer and he brought me back down to Earth, briefly, but I went back into hook animation after I was clearly in the dying state. I did make it out of the game, but my feet never touched the ground again.I KNOW WHAT BUG YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. The same thing happened to me when I was on the Coldwind Farm. I don't know how it's triggered, but it's only happened to me once.

I literally have these 4 perks for my Dwight: borrowed time, self care, leader, and sprint burst. People call some of these perks 'toxic' and I'm not even sure why they do. It's part of the game. What isn't part of the game is bad sportsmanship, or calling someone names, literally taking your time to message the other person all cause they killed you in-game (just to harass them). That's toxic.the decisive strike should be an auto perm-ban. change my mind.
I don't like decisive strike LMAO.

Self care is considered the best perk in the game at the moment. It is def a 'must have' perk, and it always will be until there is something actually done about it (if there will ever be a future nerf on the amount of times you can heal yourself.)
Honestly its really risky to not run self care, at least in my opinion.

Where have you heard this from? Oh god how would that even work on a game like this.discord and lobby chat, maybe works for championships
I mean if there's no game chat in this game that would kinda destroy the whole concept of this. It's been two years that this game has been out and there is still no game chat. However that would still be pretty interesting considering the fact that people still do talk with their friends when they play SWF lmao.
Probably rumors then if there's no proof so that's an oof.
Clan system with 8 vs 2 in 2 teams makes sense to me:
RED team "fat_kidz" clan vs BLUE team "not_queenz":
- killer can only damage the opposite team (killer hitting killer causes stun)
- survs can only make their same color gen and can sabotage different color hooks, bodyblock other clan...
That seems pretty interesting! I'm not gonna lie. But on the flawed side; there would be more gens to be completed, possibly around 8 or 9 and I think the game would literally take a loooong time to be done. Literally around 30+ minutes at max. I can imagine like, if the winning team gets doubled bloodpoints while the losing team gets at least average bloodpoints like they would in a regular match. There should be some rules applied to it as well.
I really like the concept of your idea, but with how toxic the community is; and how the devs can be at times; it could probably cause a lot of problems sadly.
yes so interesting :=) very competitive and with a lot of intensity
the matter u mention about number of gens is just smth to balance with the size of map, gens to do etc... after beta tests
Hope the devs can maybe read into this and think of it as a consideration or give their official opinion on the topic. I wouldn't mind taking part of this at all honestly, it can create a clean slate on the game.

Its basically worthless at Red Ranks. So just take the thing off a totems.Survivors: No! Its so powerful and what about lower ranks!
You'll get over it and learn to get better at skill checks
Okay, I understand your frustration but...with this new patch gens literally take a bit longer to be than before. With self care taking even longer, esp from 12 to 16 seconds plus sloppy butcher slowly coming into the meta which would take a good 30-40 seconds(?) it would be literally impossible. This seems so unbalanced and broken, and you'll eventually get bored of getting 4 kills every single game. Sure you'll feel unstoppable but eventually it just doesn't even make it challenging at all.
Not to mention the fact that hitting those skill checks aren't really that easy. Lots of killers would literally add ruin as a "must include this perk" if the case were to ever be like that. Doing gens with ruin on already takes so much time.
Super unnecessary, keep it as the way it is or make ruin hexes a bit harder to find at least.

Honestly I wish there was an option where you can choose what themes you would like to listen to expect for event themes to make it more fair? Idk.
-
Where have you heard this from? Oh god how would that even work on a game like this.

Patch is pretty balanced. I didn't realize how long 16 seconds actually was until I was in a game myself. Overall, pretty good! There's a chance that you can wiggle out, hooks don't spawn so nearby each other anymore. I honestly think the chases are a lot longer but with gens taking more time to finish now, (unless you got a good team).
Flashlight has been actually fixed, I remember where you actually had to aim down a little bit more than just the head (around the neck) so thank god they fixed that!
Other than all of that: really liked this patch so far, I'm satisfied.
-
No way, I think survivors are having it a lot better tbh. Skilled survivors, if they know what they are doing can be so annoying. I play both survivor and killer to understand this, and playing killer is pretty hard. I mainly play more survivor though because I genuinely find it more interesting in my opinion.
Whenever I play killer, getting stunned during a chase enough is already frustrating enough. Then all of a sudden; a gen is done, or two gens are done. That's why I try to be careful with the time I take on this game, I do lots and lots of roaming, quick chases I eventually stop if I can't get them within 20-30 seconds (rare case but it's happened before).
I try my best to back up from pallets as killer, (esp now that they're going to add even more pallets in the near future.) This is more survivor-sided. I mean they're even nerfing bloodlust which I don't really understand why, and this is coming from a survivor main.
I'm a rank 9 killer, and so far I've encountered tons of SWFs, have been accused of camping when I literally roam afterwards, I try my best to dodge flashlights whenever I see someone trying to aim it at me, flashlights aren't even that hard to dodge though if you're fast enough to do it. Yet it's still really frustrating to play as killer even with all of those changes. I've heard in the higher ranks of survivors people literally can get all 5 gens done within 5-10 minutes or even less, and that already sounds like it wouldn't even be a fun or decent challenging game for killers.
Again, rank 9 killer. Rank 10 solo-survivor main.
-
I have played against SWF groups and I can understand your frustration. However, they are so much more altruistic that it actually makes it almost easier for you. Playing against a decent-skilled SWF group can even improve your skills as a killer. I play more survivor so I tend to understand how they usually work, but then again everyone plays differently. I sometimes play as killer, and when it comes to body blocking the best thing you can do is just hit them. -(Rank 9 killer on console)
-
Honestly it's super rare to wiggle out, it's literally a 1/5 chance of wiggling out the killer's grasp. The mechanic is fine but I think they should add some bloodpoints when you do attempt it.
