ARP is horrible.
The gens always either spawn with 2 3 gens and 1 in the center
or 2 gens on one side, 1 in the center and 4 on the other and if youre REALLY unlucky, 5 on one side, 2 on the other.
Grim Pantry also has some terrible gen spawn sometimes, with only 1 gen at main, 2 on the dock, 1-2 in or near shack 1-2 in the corner by the tower/on the tower and 1-2 in the middle. This setup can often arrange itself into 2-3 different 3 gens if you dont do the gens in a very specific order.
I've had a 3 gen were two were on 1 side of the shack like 2 seconds away from each other and one on the other side of shack. How is that in game.

Dead zones who brought up that?

And everyone gets like 11k bloodpoints....yawn. I'd rather try to unhook into a camper. If I die, I hope my next match doesn't have a killer like that.
See that's the thing your teaching them that camping is effective and they will continue to do it more and more.
What are you going to get for unhooking in front of a camper 11.5k BP?

If you don't feed a camping killer you get no BP. With BHVR making the grind even worse, that's a no go.
You don't get BP for unsafe unhooks either and you lose progress for piping.
Unhooking in front of the killer gives you less BP then sticking to gens and opening the gate. Your not gaining much case in your going in and getting hit and running and going for unsafe hooks just removes that player faster and earns nothing.

Took me a while to re-adjust to the new DH but honest this new DH is good too, and whats best it requires timing and actually little bit skill nowdays than just pressing E. Ive had matches as a killer that i still get 0 or 1 kills since survivors are doing gens very fast and in many of my matches i see at least 2 prove thyselfs.
Good survivors have learned how to use Dh again and im coming across that perk more and more and its being used right which prolongs the chases.
Biggest issue right now in survivor side is the DCs and people hiding and not doing anything, and thats not the killers fault.
Edit: cant write
I've seen quit a few using it as well and the funny thing is now when I get hit with a DH normally I'm like dang good DH or s*** I forgot they had DH. It's still an effective perk if used right just not completely busted like it was.

Yeah, the main advantage SWF have is comms, which is something BHVR can't control anyway.
Buffing solo is the next logical step for them to take.
Exactly having comms is like having 3-4 perks that don't need to be equipped.
I think the biggest problem there having is trying to figure out how to buff solo without buffing swf.
-
@Man_of_triangles said:
Them giving up isn't even unjustified. Most killers are getting a down in the first 30-40 seconds and then camping and tunneling. Survivors need unhooks for BP, so they rush the hook. Killer exploits this and turns it into a 3vs1 very quickly, or use instadowns to constantly swap hooks. No gens get done. This is a normal solo queue match, and even with a team like this you still get competent Nurses in at least half your games.
Survivors need to learn to just do gens when the killers camping. I recently put kindred back in my built and the times I got camped I watch the whole team get off gens knowing I was been camped and knowing no was doing gens and swarm the hook for no reason.

I wouldn't say it's survivor sided overall, but don't discount the ways survivors have benefitted just because the killer has received a few minor buffs.
The 10 extra seconds of gen time has done absolutely nothing. 'Genrushing' is as real and effective as it ever was (in as much as it requires the same level of devotion to repairing gens as it always has). Especially now that most of the slowdown/regression perks have been nerfed into the ground. Ironically all the healthy ones that stopped killers camping like Ruin, Pop and Pain Res. Oh well.
The next most effective killer buff was the reduced speed boost survivors get after being hit. But this alone doesn't make much of a difference if the survivor still has time to make it to some kind of obstacle, which they often do, at which point the chase is reset anyway and you're not saving any extra time. Combined with the DS nerf this makes DS much less useful, but that doesn't really matter because now OtR is much more effective anyway.
Finally, the 0.2s reduction of basic attacks is virtually unnoticeable. It makes animations feel slightly smoother, but it doesn't give any tangible benefit. It makes hook trades easier? They were never difficult.
Don't downplay how effective a basekit BT is, or how prevalent all the new Endurance effects are. I find myself hitting an Endurance multiple times every single game, whether it's Dead Hard (evidently not dead at all), or an OtR I didn't expect, or maybe even a styptic or MoM.
I've noticed alot of survivors when they talk about the buffs they Luke to use the 10% ad the example which looks like a decent buff. But when you put it into context and say that it's a .2 second buff I find nothing but silence.
The problem with the buffs is they only make an impact it a small amount of situations. 9/10 the survivor will still make the next loop when you break a pallet or hit them. The 10 seconds on gens means nothing when you have 3 survivors on 3 separate gens. Survivors also got a few extra gen speed perks overzealous is definitely slept on.

That's exactly how is my solo-q exp. I am hardly seeing people are dc'ing or giving up on hook. But yet, escape is so rare.
I just had someone kill them self on hook last night because I hit a nice huntress hatch 30 seconds in.
On a positive note the 3 left were awesome and I ended up letting them do gens and leave but they didn't want to they stayed and gave me the kills.

Hello everyone
Is it only me or in every game all survivors always bring strong items ? Especially super strong medkits or toolboxes ? Playing some killers can really feel awkward going against this and before you say bring Franklin's sometime you really need 4 perks, and I don't really feel like going Franklin every game especially on some weak killers
Do you guys have the same thing in your games ?
Before the I seen items around 50% of the time even had quit a few games where the survivors brought nothing. A week after the patch though its been toolboxes or high powered medkits like 90% of the time.
I think survivors feel like they need items now to win but some of them still need to be adjusted because they are a bit to strong.
Ps not sniper flashlights though I think fun stuff like that should be encouraged.

They are never going to nerf SWFs. While SWFs have some huge advantages the devs aren't going to nerf survivors for playing with there friends. The best we can hope for is the devs to bring solo as close to swf as possible and adjust killer to that.

This perk needs a heavy nerf, it doesn’t even show up in the post game screen! Unacceptable!

Omg yes I can't believe that the perk has been left in this broken state as long as it has it definitely needs some heavy nerfs.

Killers complaining about pallets being too close to each other but GOD FORBID Survivors mention that the hooks are side by side and conveniently placed xD That’s the game, you need to play it. With boil over nerfed it’s easy to down a survivor and take them to the hook.
Want the survivors to jump on hooks themselves next time?
The thing is hooks can also spawn so far away that it's almost impossible to make a hook from certain areas. I do how ever agree they can spawn way to close at times.
And yes 2% of the killer population would probably like that and even call it a win but the other 98% want to play the game

It's not just the artist, this is precisely why most killers are bad. Shift + W is so strong that without vaulting, pallets, windows, anything it will take the killer 57 seconds to down the survivor with both hits, pick them up, walk to a hook, and hook them.
Now look at the killers everyone agrees are really strong:
- Nurse
- Spirit
- Blight
Notice the trend? Their powers counter shift + w.
Not really those killers have the ability to close ground fast and can catch up but even when countered correctly there powers can still be used for mobility and map presence. Artist has a bit of map presence but smart survivors won't take more then one damage hit from a snipe.

If they leave loops, try and point the birds in a direction they'd run. This way, if you can't get the flight path dmg you could get the 2nd bird dmg.
She's more complex if you think outside the loop 😁😂
I do get that she has a higher level of play I just don't enjoy her to get there plus it seems alot of her higher level skill shots rely on luck or bad survior play.
-
@danielmaster87 said:
I used to think she was like D tier. Then I started getting those direct bird hits and predictions to get hits through walls and across maps, including shotgun strats. She's A tier. It sucks to face holding W people, but you can shoot birds across maps/through walls to where they're running, because eventually they're gonna have to come into your bird's sights. She's not viable at top level, but she comes close.
I can hit those shots to sometimes but I just so don't enjoy playing her I don't want to get better with her.

I completely disagree with this assessment.
- Trapper exists.
- Onryo exists.
- Artist is...upper A tier, pushing into low S tier in the right hands. She's been one of my favorite killers from the start, only held back by her meh addons.
A few tricks:
- Run Discordance. Line up staggered triple bird volleys, you will hurt people.
- If they hold W, you can often tag them with one bird then hit them with a full volley. Tar helps.
- At the highest level of Artist play, it's all about putting down crows and then pushing people into them to injure.
I don't mean she's not strong she definitely is if your good with her but I don't have fun playing her and I've played her a good amount but I just don't enjoy her gameplay to try and get any better. I will play Trapper and onryo any day over artist.

It's objectively more skillful to 2 hook everyone than to tunnel someone out at 5 gens.
It's incredibly unfun for the player in question and it really isn't needed at most levels of play. People just use it as a crutch a lot of the time.
I don't think is really a skill thing for killers I actually think it more about how skilled or smart game sense wise the survivors are. More often then not I find that it's survivors just not been as good as me or they are doing dumb stuff like unhooking right in front of me as huntress before I'm even 10 feet away. There is still skill on my side but I feel like more often it was just bad survivor play in general that allowed me to 2 hook everyone. Just my opinion though

tbh being able to deny hooks with so many methods just kinda discourages killers from going for hooks at all. why risk all of that in a 1v4 when it has less impact in a 1v3? or 1v2? Its just yet another argument for getting individual survivors out asap.
Flashlight and pallet saves are one thing, since they require a separate survivor to make a timing specific interaction, and even they have their issues with stuff like corner lockers. But making wiggling stronger in any capacity just encourages slugging and camping. As usual, until better strategies than those are allowed to be more viable (or even preferable) for killers, perks like that end up working against survivor's best interests.
This is so true. I don't camp or tunnel unless it's a necessity but if you were running BO and running to a specific spot on a few maps I'm Just going to slug you and keep coming back and downing you because that's the only choice I've been left. Same thing goes for sabo squads I'll just slug everyone then hook them all after. The original CoH made tunneling almost a necessity because how fast survivors were healing and how many times.

10% off pallet breaking time, gen kicks, the basic attack cooldown, and survivors' speed boost on hit, an extra 2.5% off of gen progress upon kicking gens, plus an extra 10 seconds per gen (notwithstanding any potential regression perks) adds up to quite a bit of time, actually.
That 10% is only .2 of a second and don't for get that that 10 second per gen is split between fm4 survivors

You can't be casual anymore. You either tryhard to have an attempt at winning, or die.
Unfortunately thats been the killer experience for years now. It's the reason I started playing survivor because I could have a decent game and not have to go full sweat. I definitely find a bit more sweaty but that has also caused killer play to go back to sweat or 4 out.
Survivors are generally running gen speed builds which makes gens go fast which makes killers run slowdown. I'm not saying Survivors started it but I've definitely noticed and increase in gen speed builds in most my survivor and killer games.

I've never understood this. You played almost the whole game and got hooked on death hook then dc and lose everything you earned even know you were about to exit the game in 5 more seconds. It's the same for killers who dc after gen 5 just pop the gate open and start egc.

Honest not here to say why you do this and that as it happens on all platforms and am sure you are sick of it, as I am too. But I just want to ask as you guys play on the controller are your binds different?
The reason why I am asking is many times when I have been down near a pallet a console player in my game would try to heal me and end up throwing the pallet. It's like when I use to play killer when crossplay came out I wanted to play killer to see what console players were like. I would be chasing some good loopers but when it comes to the shack lol I would chase them around but if they were a gen in the shack they would try and vault and accidentally jump on the gen.
So yeah I have been curious to ask for a while, and honest I love console players. There are some good players on the console.
Because heal and throw pallet are bound to the same button by default. I changed mine to triangle to I can heal at a pallet.

I wish you guys would be MORE specific- it’s SWF sided, not survivor sided. Yea SWF’s are a part of survivors, but so are solos and they’re two completely different worlds. Trust me. And yes, I know there are sucky SWF’s and good 4 man solos, but they’re the minority matches. Your average SWF is actually pretty decent at the game and they benefit from the comms advantage, while your average solo are mostly super casuals who are entitled potatoes, making the games miserable for decent solo players. I resent the whole “survivor sided” statement, because it’s usually coming from killer mains who don’t understand the solo experience, & just lump us all into one basket.
It's not completely true if you have 3 or 4 decent survivors on a survivor sided map it's still extremely survivor sided. I found that the survivor sided maps are still way survivor sided, killer sided maps are more killer sided and the few even ones can still swing each way depending on range.
