So dont use a perk because killers are toxic and wait out the 60 seconds?

Got something for you. Equip "Unbreakable" instead of DS. So they can't slug you anymore.

  • Pop is good. You have to adjust your playstyle a bit, but 25% is massive.

  • Spirit is as fine as old base nurse. And look what the devs did to nurse. I got no hope.

  • Use anti slug if you don't want to be slugged. Really it's that easy.

  • Dunno. I mean many players use chill cuz of spirit tho.

  • You don't know. You have to guess.

  • @Davidjzuniga said:

What if when the killer is next to you and your in dying state the timer didnt go down? Its so annoying and unfun to be tunneled and then DS be renedered usless cuz the killer is to afraid of a one time use DS and slugs for 1 minute. It literally wastes an entire perk slot.

Okay. If it wastes an entire perk slot, how bout not using it?

Because I was wondering what others thought about the situation and how he responded to me escaping and telling me to get gud.

I think he's a trashtalker. Pointless to discuss with those ones.

I am by no means enraged. I escaped through the hatch def forgot that part lol. I'm rank 7 after reset he was 10 so it's a pretty close match up for being after reset.

If you are not enraged, why do you created that post at all?

  • I don't really care about my rank, so it wouldn't bother me.

  • Seems like you are too enraged by trashtalk. Going after weaker survivors with non-viable killers is a good strat, because you need very quick chases to win the game.

  • @Nicholas said:

During one of the streams the developers articulated that if survivors knew who the killer was, they could better prepare for their perks or simply dodge the lobby altogether. They said the same logic could be applied if survivors knew the username of the killer because they could avoid killers that are particularly good.

I'm genuinely curious why this doesn't become an issue in reverse? Killers knowing you have an item sometimes results in lobby dodging or bringing Franklin's demise, fine. Likewise, some Killers don't like going against certain Survivor characters or certain teams but they have the freedom to see that information in advance and decide if they want to stay in the match. Why are survivors denied that same flexibility? In both cases, there's the potential for toxicity. I'm in red rank on PS4 and I always run into the same killers and there are some killers that will specifically Lobby Dodge and then there are some that will specifically tunnel you the entire time and face camp you. Knowing who you are (username) in advance is very problematic and I don't understand why Killers can still see our usernames as survivors.

EDIT: to clarify that I'm referring to the username, not the character that's being used.

So i can bring a Mori for SWF.

No, the killer is the single role and the survivors are a team. Seems not that bad to givr the killer a little advantage.

  • I'd love to get my bresth speed buffed so i don't have to smoke seven packs an hour as Clown.

  • Please burn five of the houses on haddonfield so BL is not that BS on that map. Sometimes you get a free win, sometimes you have to work for it.

  • Maybe as one time use perk or whatever.

So, you really are telling him to adapt against prayer beads? Lmao, nice bait I guess. The onky thing you can adapt as survivor is gen tapping. And who in the world enjoys gen tapping the whole match?

He's talking about prayer beads, You talk about gen grabber build.

Give survivors a clue that she's phasing after the charge time is complete when activating her power (standing still guessing games are boring and anyone that calls this a mindgame has no mind) and give her a vault animation. Boom, the game's health gets better and she's still really strong.

All of her add-ons are fine except prayer beads, I'll just DC or not play the game and kill myself on hook against Beads. It's not a multiplayer game at that point.

Dcing against prayer beads only shows that you don't want to adapt. It's just another guess in all the reads you have to make against spirit.

    Greetings,

I'm Ms. Genny from the Block.

I don't like the looping strategy that Survivors result to in order to evade a killer. It really feels "toxic" cuz it's silly that a horror game has you running in circles around broken pieces of buidlings/structures (jungle gyms).

I feel like the Devs should remove the scratch marks if a Survivor wins a chase. From what I understand, when you "win" a chase as a Survivor, you are able to break line of sight and get away from the killer for a certain amount of time.

Once a Killer engages in another chase or "finds" you again, then the scratch marks can come back.

I really want Survivor gameplay to move away from the looping. It's difficult for new players to understand it and that's why your entire team can be potatoes who get downed in 10 seconds or one player is able to skillfully loop a Killer who refuses to concede.

    Thanks!

But you know that chase mechanics are broken, sometimes even treated different in killer tactics? Removing scratchmarks till a chase begins? Okay remove all pallets then.

  • I just level every character.

  • I deranked to green to get my adepts.

  • Many killers like Spirit and Clown force you to drop the pallet early. I think it's a good change.

Is it just me? I thought he was okay to play against when his rework just came out.

But nowadays all i see are Freddy's that use gen slowdown builds with perks like DL, Thana, PGTW, Ruin, Thrilling Tremors, Discordance etc. with Swing Chains and Jump Rope on top of that.

And then there is the recent change that Borrowed Time doesn't work against him anymore if the unhooker is asleep. And even if the unhooked Person gets BT, if the killer decides to tunnel he will just go down anyway because of Oblivious. I find this change really stupid.

Also doesn't help that most Freddy players like to bloodlust you with snares. I can live with this tho.

I get that gen times need some fixing but i still think this is too much. No one wants to hold M1 for even longer. Or at the very least make BT work against him again.

Reminder that i don't think he is OP. Just unfun to go against, not Spirit level since you can loop him at least but still.

Unrelated but i have created this discussion before but it didn't appear for some reason. Hope it's okay to post it again.

No. No. Nonononono. Not Freddy. Nurse was first. Then spirit. Now Freddy's power get questioned? No really no.

So, this is the first time I have ever posted about a complaint but this is also the worst and most ridiculous thing I have ever dealt with. So playing trapper, with Ruin, Save the best for last, Pop, and sloppy butcher. So far one of my favorite builds that have delay and some decent strength.

So during the match I had started setting traps at loops obviously (trapper things) on my way I heard a gen almost done, and in the best interest I began pressuring the gen and instantly there was this tapp that I finished a chase in just a matter of no more than 15 seconds when he ran into a trap. and in that time the gen got finished by the second guy working it, so I hooked the tapp and began going to the barn to continue a patrol, heard a another gen almost done and BOOM it was done, this was two gens instantly. So then I began that chase which ended in easily another 10 seconds as he ran into a trap I placed in between two stacks of hay-bails. and after I hooked him i got pop and before I could begin walking away he got pulled of and right after that another gen got finished. That was three gens. And after finishing that chase by downing after he jumped out a window. There was a gen in front of me that I heard clicking and BOOM it finished, and then to follow was one more by the door to escape.

This match lasted a total of I would guess three minutes and it was over, door was open by the time I stopped standing in awe of how out of this world how fast that match ended.

How does one counter this? Or if there is no way to counter this I want to hear suggestions on what a killer can do to try and prevent this.

    juSt ApPlY mORe prESuRe

Trapper is not that good atm. I'm playing him with Sloppy, Thana, Nurses and Ruin. Purple bag and faster traps. Works okay, but not against good survivors.

I'm a Kate main, but I'm starting to get tired of playing her. I just completely ran out of outfit ideas for her, and to be quite honest her last few outfits are god awful looking.

does this ever happen to other people? I find comfort in playing other survivors because it feels like there's some sort of variety. I still want to main Kate but i don't want to play her anymore, or at least until i get better cosmetics for her.

Kate is bae. I get tired from nurse tho. That's why i'm playing all killers. Atm it's trapper.

  • I want to remember the petition "burn the corn!". Really guys, let's just burn the freaking corn.

  • It's very hard. Some killers like Plague are nearly unable to 2pip because of her ability.

  • Mettle sounds okay really. I hate that perk, but atm it just got no use.

  • If the decision is: save a teammate or do a gen, i would always save the teammate. Look at it like this: You can do one gen, but your saved teammate can possibly do multiple gens.

It’s not always the players fault, though. Some killers like clown don’t have good map pressure.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/763778#Comment_763778

Don’t straw man what I’m saying. There’s plenty of ways this problem could be gone about but you can’t punish survivors for doing their objective, you can’t. You CAN however buff killer map pressure. Extending gen times would make survivor feel like more of a chore than it could be, especially with the aggressive play style being pushed for.

I think gen rush is a symptom of a more major survivor side issue, the lack of alternative objectives. If we had something else to do other than generators we wouldn’t have this issue.

I agree, that's why i said certain killers or strategys. Wraith can be pretty good in high ranks with anti heal for example.

"As a Killer, your goal is to sacrifice as many Survivors as possible". "As a Survivor, your goal is to escape and avoid being caught and killed."

First of all I respect all your opinions on this topic but I'm going to share my reasoning on why people shouldn't worry about pipping as a "win" condition. The two quotes I just stated above are my first reasoning as to why pipping is not a win condition. Nowhere does it say that you have to gain "pips" to win. It says that your goal is to sacrifice or escape. Nothing more. All pips really are stated to do in game are to make sure you are ranked within a certain skill group of players. To separate the noobs from the red ranks mainly. My second argument is that if your a survivor/killer and everyone is equally skilled then you can still win and get a black pip. That doesn't mean you lost or tied. You still won because you completed both your objectives. People who think pipping counts as winning can you please leave your thoughts on why you think so? Feedback is always appreciated.

Y'know technically the killer's goal is to please the entity, not just kill everyone. If you please the entity by doing all the emblem scoring events you double pip. Which means you were merciless, yet you still did your main job. Kinda why the game doesn't always say "entity displeased" if all 4 escape. If you did your job well enough to do what the entity demanded then you "win" hence a double pip

You are not a real killer naaaaah. The entity is too often displeased by tombstone michael.

  • @Watery said:

There’s a difference between doing an objective and not enjoying playing against a certain killer. Also, if you get gen rushed, that’s usually the product of bad map pressure. Plus, holding M1 for 80 or so seconds is super boring.

You didn't applies enough pressure. Good one.

Anyway, if survivors in your rank are playing good and doing the objective fast you have to find ways to stop them from doing so. A certain playstyle or killer as example.

The nerf gun nailed nurse in the face this time around...

    Is she dead?

    Is she balanced?

    Is she still OP?

I think Spirit will be next... then possibly billy...

Let me know what what you guys think!!

The new PTB gives us ups and downs.

But let's see what comes out of this!

That's what i'm waiting for. The final Q&A stream and the Mid Chapter Patch. I really hope they don't ######### it up.

  • @Awakey said:

To those of you who want to nerf Ebony Moris by making them work after 2nd hook, what would be the point of bringing a Mori? And don't say cosmetic, because that doesn't count.

I think it would actually hurt because it takes time to do the animation, when you could just hook them.

Moris are not fine, we can all agree on that. Keys are not fine too. Both shorten the objective and give one role a decisive advantage. Just change both to something more fair. I think the devs did a good job with instas, so i believe in them doing an equally good job on those both issues.

  • Obsession DCs, no killer perk get's deactivated, all stacks stay the same till the end of the match. Easy fix.

  • Usually i'm sweaty too, when i see a 4man swf in my lobby in red ranks. I think omega nurse after rank reset with a mori against randoms. That's exceptionally sweaty.

  • Some members of the forum had excellent ideas for the gentapping issue. Gens need a time to get ready to be worked on, equal to the time needed to kick a gen. Boom! Fixed.

Thats the point though. According to the video, removing OP addons will help with ppl DCing, but...we cant really agree on whats OP. While Iri heads and prayer beads are gonna be popular answers, youll have ppl that throw in answers that are REAL bizarre.

At the end, only the devs decide what's op or not. And they also decide to punish DCs or not. I think the balance and the dcs should't be brought in any connection, or any killers plus their addons will be trash after a while lol.

  • They wouldn't do it, if they can't do it. I think they ######### up pretty hard at the beginning, it's their first own game, but they are getting better and better. They care about the playerbase.

  • I play fair as long as survivors do the same. Teabagging? Clicky clicky? Get ready to get focused.

  • People think that iri heads are op. People think that prayer beads are op. People think that fragrant tuft is op. People think that styptic syringe is op. You will always find someone, that thinks some things are op.

In fact, only prayer beads are questionable.

  • The duration addons are so good for him. Duration + Full map TR is my favourite combo on them. But yeah most addons are useless. xD

  • I think the devs should use slightly more time to give the players considerably more information about the numbers. This would increase the happiness of many players tremendously, im pretty sure.

  • Thomas the Chainsaw Engine found his next victim, i see.

Classy, I'm actually a red rank killer player, and just because not all of us only play games by finding the most overpowered thing and spamming it, doesn't mean I'm a survivor player.

Nurse needed to be taken down a notch.

Longer her fatigue about 0.x seconds then. The cooldown, especially the complete reset of the cooldown after a blink, is not a slight tweak, it's a massive nerf.

  • @justarandy said:

    1. Basekit chase power NERFED

    2. Basekit map pressure/travel NERFED + PUNISHING

    3. Basekit finding survivors NERDED + PUNISHING

    4. Reappearance on survivors side chase power NERF

    5. Dedicated servers (not even counting the bugs. that's something every killer hurts but so far it's hurting nurse the most with my experience)

    6. Addons nerfed and replaced with really bad ones (necessary and actually the only thing the community wanted)

    7. Fun factor. Yes, it's not fun to play m2 with a power bar.

Is there any other way to butcher nurse more? Any other "minor" changes we can add to her? Any "slight" changes she needs so everyone can be "happy"?

It's really insane how the devs use the words "slighty" and "minor" in terms of her basekit change. This isn't minor. This is big.

And STILL, absolute SILENCE from the side of BHVR. Majority wants the BASEKIT CHANGE REVERTED! It's already insane how the devs touch exactly the stuff noone wanted, at least show us that you care about our opinion and that you listen to us and finally give a statement and revert it back..

Literally what i said in my review. Revert her basekit.

  • Some killers completely rely on addons to be usable at all. I mention Leatherface, Doctor and Legion for example. So no, the game wouldn't be as balanced as it is now, definitly more survivor sided.

  • @anarchy753 said:

They probably got told "Nobody says anything until the dev Q&A."

This is a major change that has annoyed a lot of people who enjoy abusing the most broken killer in the game, and it's probably best to not risk saying anything until the devstream Q&A which is basically scripted.

"abusing the most broken killer". Your words tell me very much about your role and your rank, also your knowledge about the game.

I think hardstuck purple/low red survivor, refusing to adapt your playstyle. Because many many people showed that the current base nurse is fine. I did a review about the current PTB nurse if you are interested.

Now before any Billy mains come chainsaw sprinting at me, just look at the facts.

Okay, so we all know that most killers that have high mobility tend to have speed nerfs. Nurse can teleport and moves at 98% speed or something, Spirit moves at 110% (due to her Yamoaka Haunting Speed), and the Hag also moves at 110% speed (considering she can teleport to her traps). The Huntress has 110% movement speed on account of her range but that's not really relevant. So why doesn't the Hillbilly have a decreased speed? He has probably the highest mobility in the game (depending on the map) and that mobility doubles as an instadown. Naturally, that warrants a speed reduction. I'd like to hear your opinions. I know the Chainsaw is hard to use but I mean, look at the Nurse. She is harder to learn, takes more skill, and doesn't have an instadown. So like, seriously.

He got no effective anti-loop. That's why he's 115%. Easy like that.
