I don't know if is a bug or something but always the killer appears next to me, and it's a #########. Devs should really fix the spawn distance between killers and survivors, i mean basically all recently patches are killer sided (healing speed nerf, exhaustion nerf, some windows in some maps are gone forever, the pallet distance, the Leader's gen repair speed nerf). They should really do sometime for us. It's boring to be the first that the killer sees
1. Healing speed gets buffed soon.
2. A needed nerf for survivors i agree.
3. Infinites get changed. A needed nerf too.
4. Pallet distance got a survivor sided buff lately.
5. Leader + Prove was too strong, especially with a toolbox.
Balance is not about: "They got this so we get this." It's about actually balancing the game.

Never assume that the Killer not being in a chase means that no Survivors are being chased.
So true.
-
Honestly Bubba and Legion are themost urgent ones.
-
Can we discuss the possibility of breaking vaults so killers can just create new passways?
-
I like it. The time limit can be triggered by the killer too, so no hostage by survivors is possible anymore.

OoO destroys her. I agree, but flashlights are completely hyperbolic against Hag and it needs to stop lol, it's a just a soft counter like urban. If you don't have OoO then Hag can usually hold her own against a ton of strong SWFs granted you're playing her correctly. You don't think Hag is great because you've probably never played against a really good one. But honestly many people haven't.
If you play hag yourself you learn much about the placement. Minefield Hag is scary tho.

That's a big Hag misconception. Flashlights do not destroy her, a flashlight will rarely help you in chase against her and literally 3 or 4 survivors would have to be running it for it to mean anything. Ontop of that, as killer you have prep time.. If you see 4 flashlights then run franklins and it's useless.
After Nurse and Spirit, it's Billy, Hag, Huntress/Freddy, Plague and probably Ghostface/Demo.
A Flashlight + OoO. Not that uncommon. A swf will callout your traps and destroy the important ones or just crouch. I don't think hag is that good. Just my opinion.

You don’t have to use corrupt at all. Flashlights don’t destroy her. More than two can be annoying, but I’ve never seen that in my Hag games. Most is usually one or two, which doesn’t destroy her.
If you think so.
-
New survivors shouldn't get the tryhsrd treatment. Maybe they will come to the forums and cry about spirit and nurse then.
-
I heard he also got old DS and the release MoM. Just rumors though.
-
Seems like a good build against spirit.
-
It's intended. Don't get stunned. xS
-
Best exhaustion perk, if not best perk at all, in the game.
-
Honestly pipping is the only thing that really shows you won. As survivor you can be super stealthy and do nothing till your team is dead and as killer you can just camp.

Absolutely disrespectful towards HAG :(
Hag is a setup killer and that needs time. So you have to use one full perkslot for "Corrupt Intervention". And Flashlights are destroying her.
-
It's fine atm. No one uses it and with more disadvantages to it, why should i even consider using it?
-
#3 Freddy
#4 Billy
#5 Plague
#6 Ghostface

This is an idea I thought about to counteract killers slugging a survivor in order to get a 4k.
This in itself is not a huge problem when there is one or two generators left, since it is still possible to win. But the problem arises when there is 4 or more generators left, and only you and another survivor are alive.
If the other survivor get downed and the killer decides to slug that person to get the 4k, there is literally nothing you can do. This makes you feel truly helpless.
Worst is when you are the one who got downed, it feels utterly pointless to wait on the floor while the killer chases the survivor around. Especially if the survivor is good. This is when the ability to end yourself would be less frustrating for both you and your teammate.
However on the other side it could pose a problem for the killer incase you can do it instantly or whenever. There are many survivors who dc over the smallest things and this would just be better for them since they wouldnt lose bloodpoints.
Thats why I think in order to ######### you need to be downed and either:
1) You need to have been slugged for a while (maybe 30s-1min).
2) There is only one other survivor and like 15s have passed (so you cant end yourself just to prevent a hook)
This is some conditions I thought about the top of my head, but it feels like this idea would be an improvement to the game quality and would prevent the killer from keeping a survivor hostage.
It's a game mechanic problem actually. When you want to kill four people safely as killer, what do you do? You slug the third one and hope he not dcs.
-
Interesting idea, but maybe they should just enable a slow rank decay.
-
I think the mapsets should have one chance to be selected. Like not one chance for every Coldwind map, one chance to get a random Coldwind map. Maybe i wouldn't play 90% of my games on Coldwind or Macmillan then.
-
The third point is probably the most important. Why da heck should i use "Surge", when it don't even triggers on 75% of my downs.
-
Haddonfield, all Corn maps and all red forest maps probably. Would find some more when i think about it.

U have to wait like an extra second to blink twice, why do people act like this nerf is huge
3.5 seconds without addons. You have to wait 3.5 seconds after a double blink. With two specific addons you get back old base nurse, the (nearly) only viable way of playing her.

this post says rank reset no one is red ranks
After rank reset nothings changing, if you play regularily. Survivors and killers get equal reset.
-
They killed nurse for red ranks conpetetive gameplay. So whst was the expectation? Leatherface? Wraith? Of course they get spirit all the time.

Walk away from the loop. What's that got to do with the Spirit bumping into a survivor during phasing?

Walk away from the loop. What's that got to do with the Spirit bumping into a survivor during phasing?
Because you are able to predict where she's phasing. Walk away sometimes. Stand still at some point. There are a few mindgames you can play with her, but some people seem to refuse to do it.

So apparently we know what happened on PTB, Nurse get reworked addons and a little bit base kit changes, and you know what? The one of the biggest shitstorm's begun, even PreRework legion not was powerful enough to do this. And people still saying DBD community changing? No, Nurse is still OP. And people actually complain about this? Yes, but they never complain so hard about survivors nerfs and change's. And by now they already resting other killer's (while Nurse after so many times of complaining is only get it by now) Spirit, Freddy, Billy, they seriously thinking they nerf them? (Yes, they can nerf Spirit, but not Billy or Freddy)
And you know why there was a shitstorm? Because BHVR announced an addon rework with maybe some slight changes to her base power. What we got was an addon rework and a massive nerf, what made her a plaything for survivors, if she don't got two specific addons. Her base power was completely fine, that's the most sad thing about it.

i play a survivor and i feel as though the game benefits killers too much ill give a few examples
- downing someone with one shot. they're down to the ground from a singular shot. ruins the fun for a survivor big time, basically just a killers game at that point,
- 2. cant recover on the ground without help. once you're down thats it. if someone else is down too you're finished,
- killer using offerings that overrides survivor offerings. for example my cat tingling sense offering is over ridden all the time and the killer is just there with no warning, if they have an offering that overrides it then its useless to a survivor
- warning music starts waayyy too late now.
- using weapons to kill not hooks. in my opinion this shouldn't be a part of the game, ruins the fun completely and destroys what the game is about , how can you survive if they just kill you on the spot giving no opportunity to be rescued?
- being able to see exactly where someone is on the map . ive had a killer put a survivor on a hook not even close to me and ive been in the basement already in a cupboard yet he comes all the way to the basement and to the exact cupboard, no offering should give a player that much advantage
and those are my examples .
I'm playing dbd for a long time now and i can just say: stick to the game, play both roles and maybe inform yourself over certain content creators. I wish you the best. <3

This would be fair. What do you think?
Keys are not usable on a hatch closed by the killer anymore. Fair trade.
-
I mean lets use this on stealth killer right? No exhaustion perk would trigger EVER.
-
Instas getting nerfed, that's good. Now keys and moris have to get changed.

I recently purchased the Clown and while I'm still getting a feel for tossing his bottles at survivors, I'm more curious about his perks. Especially Pop Goes The Weasel. Is it a viable perk? His other ones seem kinda meh to me while I can see myself using PGTW in my killer builds.
Thanks for reading!
PGTW is one of the best perks in the game, IF you get it to use. It's a perk you have to actively use in your gameplay, but the massive slowdown on gens is very worth it.

I think people mostly just want Prayer Beads to be dealt with.
And even prayer beads are fine atm, just annoying. You can hear her footsteps and start gentapping after you found out it's the gengrabber build. Its hardcounter is "Spine Chill" btw.

Yes, very easy to not bump into a killer you can't see.....😑
Okay...much work to do here.
Example: You stand behind a dropped pallet and she stands still, what do you do?

Im curious what is your worst killer to play as and whats your reason for me its the nurse im not good at the the blinks and she gives me a bit of a headache whenever i play her but what about you
For me it's Wraith. You can do something with him sometimes, but he got so much counterplay it's insane.

Typical response from Spirit mains towards people who have a problem with her.
Yep. Because collision is so easy counterable by just not standing in her way. You just need a brain. xD

Head on is the one exception to this if there was ever a way to fight back here would be my concept of how it would work in item form:
Steve's bat
Very rare item
1 charge
Can be used to stun the killer for 5 seconds the killer will drop any survivors they were carrying at the time and the user's aura will be revealed to the killer for 20 seconds.
Do you think this is balanced?
What are your idea's for how survivors could fight back but not be given too much power.
Imagine 4 Bats. It's not balancad at all, except if enduring would cut stun times in a fourth. Even then is a random stun, usable whenever the survivor wants without any skill at all. Flashlights are balanced, "Baseball Bats" not.
-
I probably won't use em, but it's cool for players to show their time on the game.

I think by now Freddy is the one of the best killers in the game, he simply got all important powers of other good m1 killer's, he got map pressure, loop counters, mindgame potential, and stealth potential. Is Freddy is number 5 in killer tier list? In my opinion - yes, what is yours?
He's #3 after Spirit and Billy.

@GrootDude said:
I don’t think he’s weak, I usually use both chainsaw speed add ons so I can use my power around loops and my normal build is BBQ, noed, PGTW and bamboozle. I usually do pretty well with this build.
Instead of NOED Ruin and you got my LF build. His speed addons give him some anti-loop, like you mentioned.
-
If you are worried about collision, stand in places you don't think she'll go to.

@ShadowRain said:
Nurse has really bad map pressure now, at the very least make her faster than survivors
That's it. Without cooldown addons you are a plaything for survivors now.

Problem with that would be that then everyone would just slug so they never lose any.
Though the Dying Light rework is better than what we had previously it still is underwhelming. It shouldn't deactivate if the obsession dies.
True. Loosing all your stacks when the obsession dies hurts this perk massively.
-
@kate_best_girl said:
Do you think its a good exhaustion perk at all? If it is good is it better than any other exhaustion perk (Discluding head on, adrenaline, and dead hard).
Pair it with "Fixated", "Iron Will" and "Spine Chill" and you got a pretty good stealth build.
-
@Blueberry said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/754406#Comment_754406
Which is how they felt on every single new "slow down" perk they released which is why even after we have had multiple releases everyone is STILL using Ruin. They keep them all on such a weak power level and never to be seen.
Even "Dying Light" is situational. Imagine "Dying Light" to work reversed. Everytime you hook a survivor you loose one stack of your nine "Dying Light" stacks. When a survivor dies you loose automatically as much stacks as the survivor got hooks left. So it works as Ruin. It slows the game down early game.
-
@CrowFoxy said:
Honestly that's a big waste of a styptic imo
Not if the killer is not able to hook afterwards hahaaaa.

They got the fear that "Surge" would become too powerful. Now all perks are trash lol.

After the nurse funeral? Only spirit. Every other killer is likely a pip and an escape for me as survivor.

There's exhaustion in every single build sorry.

Lots and lots of practice. It honestly just comes down to muscle memory.
You're going to mess up with her at first. A lot. Like more than you even think possible but you get somewhat of a feel for her blinking, the things you can do are insane.
* were able to do *was
She git massively nerfed, because players played her.
