As a community killer I'm fine with Judgment being powerfull. He has tools to help people who suffer from killer anxiety. People running sabo builds? Doesn't matter. People switching to flashlight last second? Doesn't matter. People dying in pallets? Doesn't matter. Dead Hards? Doesn't matter. Antitunnel perks? Doesn't matter. It's completely fine to have a single killer who can bypass those frustrations while still being hard to play out of just shoot the aura playstyles. I tried many builds on her and hitting those beams and going for chases was so much more fun than just sitting in one place and spam beam at auras. But I understand that it's simple and effective way to play her and people will stick to this same as with Nurse when her exposed potential got removed. :)

Knight already had so much counter play. Why does he need more?
It was something that worked before and was removed. Counterplay is relative. Playing against Knight result in huge W against either only guard or Knight and guard themselves which in a lot of situations result in guaranteed m1 hits. Knight is not very strong, but he's defienetly my top 3 hated killers in the game simply by playing most of the game against bots and not interacting with the killer in other way than he cutting you from some angle to get a hit while hunted by guard. Don't forget Knight got a huge amount of buffs - from invisible orb, longer hunts, faster home in guards, longer time to spawn a flag, faster path drawing, ability to cancel summoning, ability to melee guards to despawn them, ability to cycle through guards. Like a lot of nice buffs.

There is individual MMR that is also mixed in with your regular MMR, my guess is you win enough on Pig that some of your lobbies on killers you don't play much end up with "High MMR" lobbies. Also remember most swfs are genuinely 3-4 friends who got back home from work, I tend to find them less sweaty than solo queue. (Unless its a death squad)
All people have no mmr atm so you are more likely to face diverse groups of players I have one game of squad switching to flashlight last second (they were bad just wanted to be toxic) and next game I had players who died at 5 gens. Same with solo q. One game I have team that does nothing, last 5s in a chase and second game I have team who manage to hold killer and do gens quickly.
-
A place for us, distortion, shadowstep exist. :) They are amazing to counter her power and let's be honest Judgment withou ara perks is nowhere near powerfull.
-
Take Ghost Notes instead, it makes scratch marks to dissapear soner.

MMR seems to be working for me, on killer side I've started to get more consistent matches where people know how to play the game. On survivor its probably gonna take a while as 90% of the playerbase does not know how to survive.
Which as i said will make solo q incredibly frustrating for some time. Especially if you are like me not a daily player.

Instant down undetectable wallhacks m1 is incredibly overpowered
He would be still M1 killer who has to be looped and down people. In the end you will barely notice difference from survivor pov when on any outdoor map.

He is my favorite stealth killer in the game and thats why i want him get a buff :v so i think ghostface mark can make the downed survivor have a debuff call "silent" that will make other survivor can't see his aura and also when that survivor get hooked and the "silent" debuff can only be dissapear after other survivor help him from the hook or revive him when he downed, that will make him a real serial killer and will make other survivor have some pressure cuz they need to travel far away to find the hidden hooked survivor HAHAHA >:)
I think Ghostface needs those simple changes to become good killer:
→ Ghostface now see survivors through walls within 32m and can stalk them this way.
→ When out of chase Ghostface moves 15 % faster when in NS.
→ Ghostface can instantly down any survivor when in NS without needing to mark them.
→ Fully stalked survivors are revealed untill they mark elapses.
→ Decrease mark to 30s.
→ Crouching Ghostface doesn't emit any sounds.
→ Leaning from cover doubles the mark duration.

You do realise that the survivor will still gain MMR if they played the game well like unhooking or doing gens, right?, you don't lose on any MMR if you die now (and we're a good teammate).
The OPs issue is the MMR wasn't normalized yet from the reset so they get bad teammates which lose lots of MMR while he still gains some, it just needs more time to get good.
Well, if my teammates die in 10s chase and killer has 2 hooks and only gen someone worked on is me and it's not even half done then I know that the game is already over and farming points isn't fun. I used to have quite decent solo teammates, but since reset it's horrible. They die against Bubba on Gideon without even throwing pallets. Like at this point you feel like to beat some players you can play m1 only Hag and dominate.
-
I think there is way to create M1 killers if they have good enough secondary power. I just think that M1 killers, purely M1 killers won't be able to catch with latest released and future released killers. Think of Dredge. He has quite good secondaty power, yet as M1 killer he's still weak.

It's not really about her being weaker or stronger, I'm of the opinion that as people learn to play against her, she'll seem weaker for the most part (maybe around now for the next couple weeks), and then when some players really figure out and master her she'll be considered even stronger than before. But it's not about how strong she is in chase or her map presence or ability to snipe, it's about the player frustration that so many of your perks or even items could become completely useless with no warning encountering this killer, and even if they aren't directly made useless, other builds are already not very useful considering she is a long range sniping m2 killer.
Seeing the killer's aura with an aura build is not that useful unless for some reason she's doing m1 on a tile with high walls (but most of the time I get m1'd against this killer is at a filler), a haste with your duo build isn't going to be useful because haste will not save you from the lasers, in fact the build could just get the killer to hits in one shot, protection hit builds are hopeless because how are you supposed to get protection hits, etc. The only builds that I can think of that are impactful still are boon, genrush, and heal builds. If you run anything else your build / perks are probably either unusable or not very useful.
That's fine on my end. If you stack multiple healing perks or perks that require you being healthy and face plague or legion you won't get much value out of them anyway. If you run Steadfast and there are 3 totems out of range of any gens again, it's up to match uniqueness. You can't run same builds and expect it to give you exact value. My current build is drama, finess, salvation's cry and 4th perk I keep changing. But If I go against killers like Ghoul, Plague or whatever than most of my build is not doing anything, which is just my choice to risk that scenario.
-
Killer that forces to pay attention. You can always expect them running gearhead, nurses or celestial + nemesis and play around it. There is also insanely loud noise when she prepares beam to be sent.

What an absurd statement. This role bias mentality is what taints the feedback and ruins the game. If you're good at killer you should be put with good survivors and both sides should be able to win. Why would anyone become good at survivor and play the role if they're destined to Iose against a killer that put in the same amount of time and effort?
It's not bias. The current killers except for 2 - Nurse and Blight can't achieve clear performance even when play perfectly. But that's because all game result depends on how survivors spread across map to gens and if they sit on them all the time.
-
If Steadfast was a good boon I'd say that Shattered Hope might finnaly has it's time to shine. Sadly only Boon I think is worth running is Shadowstep, but clearly everyone will try to combine at least two of them.

??? If you are a good killer you should NOT win every game? what kind of estimation is that?
"The other side should have no chance If I am good"Yes! If you are good with playing certain killer and master them, you shouldn't lose unless you verse coordinated comp team.
-
it's boring but not OP. Thus she doesn't need nerfs or rework.

They won't revert it otherwise killer mains will whine about it everywhere especially on yt, killers should win every match - devs mindset
If you are good killer, you should win every game. That's how the game should work. The only issue I have even as killer main is that you can now bodyblock stairs from basement and with shorter bt you can easily confirm a kill.
-
Hyperfocus is also diminished if ran with Steak Out. I always said that flat speed perks are the best, such as overzelaous, deja vu or steadfast as they make gens not as quickly as fully stacked steak out but they are consistent. Imagine rolling 20 on bardic and getting no skillchecks for 50s.

This. I am really hoping that the perk overhaul buffs perks and builds that got hit by diminishing returns such as Unbound going to 10-12% or Batteries going back to 7% ect.
Gen rush perks were nerfed and diminished. Prove went from 15 to 10, stake out halfs the hyperfocus value, toolboxes diminish the gen perks. Sadly my favourite combos like save the best for last + help wanted or machine learning + rapid were affected hard, batteries + rapid or nothing but misery + knockout… yes i did play these but there is little reason to run them atm.
-
@SpyUA said:
There will be a change to 45 perks soon, half are perks affected by diminishing returns and the other half is changes to general perks which are outdated.
But buffing and reworking all perks combo killed by diminishing returns will take ages.

Hear me a killer main here who only tunnels people who behave toxic…
I believe current antitunnel is just poorly designed, it mainly served to negate farming survivors unhooking in killer face when they had no borrowed time perk equipped, yet back then killers were mostly way weaker. The main issue of tunneling is to understand why killers tunnel - speaking of killers not tunneling at 5 gens because they can. Tunneling helps gain pressure when the game is not in your favor and you need to lower efficiency of survivors by margin amount. If survivors spread on gens and pop 3 of them before you hook first survivor it's mostly only call and affects the lowest tier killers drastically.
How I'd change antitunnel:
→ remove haste and endurance
→ give survivors 20s of invincibility, meaning they can't be damaged, infected, can't be bodyblocked
This would prevent agressive weaponizing from survivors as well as help against killers with massive camping potential, such as Bubba, Trickster, Huntress…
This would be deactivated when last generator is repaired or if survivor performs any conspicious actions.
How I'd make tunneling less reasonable:
→ Each time survivor is freshly hooked you gain following benefits:
25 % haste for 10s when moving without using power, extra 5-15 % damage on next generator kick depending on killer (5 % per Nurse, Blight, Oni, Ghoul… 10 % for Nemesis, Alien,… and 15 % for GhostFace, Pig, Legion…, aura reveal on all survivors with same or less hook stages than currently hooked survivor and extra BP multiplier that gives extra bp post trial, think of old BBQ.
This mechanic would be permanently removed if any survivor is dead.
-
Judgment lethality is very low, highly driven by aura perks that allow them to hit some cross map hits. Yet she's not S or A tier, low B maybe and once people learn hot to play against aura builds as they were never popular it will be even easier to win against her, thus none of these perks will be needed.
-
It's what I don't understand. Judgment is way harder and dominating mainly with aura builds, without aura she's not that crazy. Pyramid's power has half the cooldown, can be spammed close range and there is Henry "lucky dodge" counterplay. If you can torment with his m2 he would instantly become S tier, because he's already very strong yet not super popular.
As killer I would actually love it. But do you want Pyramid Head to be able to completely bypass hooking when he's way more lethal in chase than Judgment?
-
Hot take, but I think that Ghoul has potential to be S tier when someone tries to cut you off mid loop which works insanely well if you can master it to the point where you feel that there is nothing you can do. But due to most people play him dash into cancel into free hit I think he's like low A/B tier mainly because the revault is now possible unless lagging servers.
-
Once people learn to play around her aura build she will become significantly weaker. Trust.
-
There were many ideas I liked:
→ Springtrap has infinite undetectable when leaving door untill revealed through security cameras (that would have more range to compensate)
→ Jumpscares need to be more consistent as most of the time you are not able to catch survivors before they manage to remove the axe

I sort of agree but the affects invocation give are actually decent. Ideally no broken but I don't know if that would be very balanced.
If you think that the effects are decent than you are wrong. They are very bad. Specialist, perk from Lara considered being very weak will give you more value with way less time unefficiency and downsides for equal time saved if not better. Most common thing I see is that people bring no mither along with invocations which to me is a huge indicator that those perks migh be in play and I can't count how many times I confirmed win because of that at the first minute of the game. Even if the invocations have no downsides, change in number it won't be good perks as you have to travel to basement, set it up, leave team in 3v1 scenario and risk basement hooking which on a lot of killers will result in cycling hooks within the team.
-
@Yoshirama said:
They also need to nerf her on some way to no abuse with aura reading perks
That's rough. She can't utilize many perks. I believe there is way to play around aura perks with with their additions I can see the "you are revealed" mechanic from 2v8 to become basekit in 1v4
-
@T1MEXII said:
Invocation is cool idea, bringing someone new to dbd. The problem I have is the downside is much bigger that the upside. So I have a big rework.
An Invocation should not be infinite, that also goes the same for the duration. Once an Invocation is completed, the duration should be a few minutes. Once the minutes expire, the perk effects are removed.
Once you are downed, the perk will have a 60 second cooldown. It will deactivate and you lose the Invocation but also the Broken. You need to be Healthy to re-draw the Invocation and it will only take 10 seconds.
One more buff, your aura can not be read while using Invocation.
Huh? Why? Invocations don't need downsides at all. Sitting in basement is not woth any of current perks even if perks have no downsides. Weaving spiders… time to travel to basement + perform invocation in best possible scenario where you get there at teh start of the trial, uninterupted by the killer, performed without any gen being blocked may take about 90-100s so you would have done a solo gen while you also leave team in 3v1 scenario creating no early pressure. Treacherous Crows is not worth any comment, that perk is killer's perk.
Speaking of that, if killer finds you in the basement you will most likely lose game to your entire team, some of the killers might easily confirm a kill from that.
-
It is true, killers been weaker side for years and the balance is still somewhat ok around pinch of the content. While I don't think that survivors need heavy nerfs, some nerfs to healing, repair and looping has to be done.

lol spring trap.
His axe will get blocked by walls, tree branches, invisible walls. Much shorter range, much harder to aim, and the axe only ever hits one survivor at a time.
Hitting survivors with an axe also does not give the old hex ruin effect, nor give him a free pyramid head cage effect….
Doesn't change the fact Judgment is B tier at best with full aura build.

Not anymore as aura reveal is centered around the gen so its not going to be that useful anymore but still it is viable.
I had Nurses, all with Nowhere To Hide, it's still insane perk on her.

C tier is reserved for weak killers that don't even really have a power and are powerless at strong tiles.
This killer has an attack that pierces all obstacles and can hit multiple survivors at once. And built in moris and hook bypasses.
This killer is never, ever dropping below S tier unless heavily nerfed.
S tier is truly a hot take. She sucks in chase and if you chase you lose. The point is if you manage to play around her aura perks and listen to woosh sounds when she charges beams she truly has nothing much to help her. Trust, she's nowhere near the S tier. Springtrap can hit you with orbital no matter what potentialy and yet he's nowhere near s tier either.

-
trust, once you get out of loww mmr and people learn this killer will be considered C tier.
-
Potential of the ability is crazy, while everyone plays the braindead shoot the aura builds, which drastically reduce any skill performed in the game while killer itself offers insane learning curve. But you know same with Ghoul, killer who can be busted when used well is played is braindead way by 99.9 % of players.
-
You can play around auras, rather go against aura than full slowdown.

Spoken like a true crybaby killer. Nerf this.. nerf that. Flashlights make me cry!!! DH makes me Cry... DS makes me cry. BHVR there we gave you this that don't cry..... You. Get better!!! Get new perks. You make me laugh
She's mid tier. If you play around aura builds she has rough time winning.
I'm killer main with deep sympathy for the survivors but if my whole team dies because they can't understand killer has nurses, don't dodge then who's fault is it?
-
Tbf both sides already start learning.
Judgments - how to curve lights in the loops.
Survivors what aura perks they usually run and how to avoid getting hit.
Judgment's snipe the aura playstyle will sooner become way worse as people will get used to it. Let me give you some advices. Most Judgments run Gearhead and Nurses calling. So if anyone gets injured you can avoid getting skillcheck for short time and you can't be revealed. Nurses calling have 32m range, so unless you have TR indicator, she can't see you. if she runs witness + nemesis you will be revealed to 6-8s if you avoid that time you will be fine. Trust, she's not very good. To me personally low B at best if people know what to do.
-
All Aurora perks need buffs tbh. They all have their more responsible alternatives that atm are not worth to be replaced with new perks.
-
It's hard to hit good people on gen I always try to predict where they dodge and get more hits from that than sniping gens. But bad players will be demolished by perkless trapper. So being OP killer in this game is irrelevant. Only OP killer was prayer beads gengrabbing spirit and 5 blink Nurse with old ebony mori.
-
Like most of open maps are rough for her as your light will be visible from so far away before even sent.
-
It is, they nerfed Judgment from PTB.
- Made her Zelaous curves bad
- Increase observation range
Result? Everyone runs aura builds because half the perks don't have synergy with her power.
-
Unbound my beloved, it was meta for so short and felt pretty nice to get hit while vaulting shack on weak killers.
-
Judgment brought something new to the game and that's a need to pay attention constantly even when the killer is quite far away and in survivor's style this is not something they accept. They don't want to dodge an easy projectile that they can see from mile away because they are used to focus on skillchecks with hyperfocus or just looking at gen progress or HUD. I always said that the issue of this game is that neither side wants much effort to do well. People complained about hex perks yet I've not seen any Counterforce, people complained about aura perks yet no one runs shadowstep or distortion. I just don't get. Base game shouldn't be auto-pilot. We have Judgment now who punishes survivors who don't pay attention and getting hit by her beam cross map is nearly impossible if you watch your surroudings. If she hits you as you run away than good prediction on her side. But she's by most community considered quite weak. With her exile not synergize with hook perks you can't expect people to run much else than aura perks and tbh I love it. One less killer to run corrupt, pain res, dms pop and eruption every game. And from my survivor games we did well against Judgment and if we didn't than it was well deserved victory for her.
-
You have to be away from the killer and you know that killer can see you thank to nemesis. What more would you want to play around it?
-
That's something I've noticed too. Both of us got rescued from Exile and was spawn 0.5m in front of the killer being immidiate most reasonable target.
-
@Wezqu said:
It only works on slopes or open areas where it drops from one to another. Badham has floors on top almost all of the undergournd sections. Like when you start charging Judgement's power the pilar of light end spot is the level you are standing on. You can move it down slopes or drop it through holes or elevation differences but it will not go to lower sections if there is a same level floor on it that you started charging it. Like only ways to get the beam to lower level of Badham's main building is either guiding it through the drop or either stairs. Like she is better with elevation going up than down. The pilar does not hit anything under the pilar and the pilar stops on the grounds level that you are charging it or launched it on but if it hits anything open that would drop it during its trajectory it drops to that level.
Like if you are second story of a building and you send it through a wall. It will stay on the second level until it goes through the wall and falls to the level that is on the otherside of the wall, but even if there would be a lower level under that it will not go there because it follows the ground level all the time.
You can hit stuff above the level you charge not anything under it if the beam does not drop to that level.
Yeah I noticed. It seems like you have to ignore those gens at all.
-
I said before, give survivors 30s of invincibility, at that point they can't be bodyblocked, can't be attacked and can't receive any form of infection or anything at all for that duration, also can't block for the teammates anymore. Deactivate it completely in endgame collapse and give killers rewards for hooking - regression, aura and bp.
-
No he doesn't. Jason is at perfect spot where his stupid add ons got tweaked and people learned more to play against him. Eventhough the Sauna Rock is kinda annoying it's equivalent of languid touch in form of triggering so I'm okay with it. Otherwise Jason is fine. There are currently no killers in urge to be nerfed only to be buffed.
