I haven’t mastered any of them because I consider myself to be a much worse Killer than I am Survivor. I avoided Killer like the plague (pun not intended) for the longest time, and only recently have I grown more partial to the idea of playing one. I’m still just getting the hang of the basics, but I feel like I’ll get used to it. As for which Killers I feel the most confident with, I would use The Ghost Face, Plague, Doctor, or Hag.
-
Easiest: Nurse. Most of the time, the Nurses I play against are rather green with the character, so they are not very good at her as a result. This leads to pretty free escapes against them.
Hardest: Spirit. I still have a hard time with this Killer. I really ought to adjust my build to try and increase my stealth capabilities against her, but I find that, whenever I change out a perk, I sorely miss what I had to remove for it!
-
To me it’s a very tough toss-up between Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time because I feel they both come in handy frequently. I lean slightly more to Decisive Strike because it’s a good insurance perk for me, and I slightly prefer it to Borrowed Time.

I heard about this game because word on the street was that the concept was similar to Evolve, a game I adored but unfortunately reached a point where I couldn’t find matches. I’d been passively aware of its existence for years, and then after the dedicated servers for Evolve shut down, I found I enjoyed its sort of gameplay and looked for something else to satisfy that itch. I’d decided to look more into Dead by Daylight and, after watching some matches and doing some research (and being on sale), I decided to purchase the game and haven’t looked back. It’s one of my favorite games to play now!
-
I love the Spirit’s design in general, and she has some of the cooler cosmetics to boot. The Halloween skin in particular is like another level.
-
I prestiged my main but that was about it. I may do more characters one day, but I don’t feel a need to right now. My priorities lie with unlocking more perks first!
-
I’m not really good at Killer at all, but I am the worst at Nurse by far. I’m so bad that I usually maybe land 3 hits before the match ends, and I’ve found that I get messed with a lot once the Survivors realize they’re playing against a trash Nurse.
-
I don’t play Killer often, but a Killer usually interests me with looks and design before getting into how their power plays. My favorite is the Plague, mostly because of dem acrylics and her fierce strut that she has. Having a fun power and playstyle only solidifies a Killer as a favorite for me.
-
It’s annoying to be the Survivor on the receiving end of tunneling and is frowned-upon as a result, but it is still a valid strategy that a Killer can employ.
-
I’ll run it when I’m leveling someone new up and it’s all I’ve got, but I won’t use it in any of my primary builds. I used to use it all the time, though, but then I got used to operating without it and no longer have much of a drive to equip this perk anymore.
-
I’ve played Left 4 Dead for years prior to this, so I can handle being vomited on/doing the vomiting pretty well!
-
Nope, but I don’t play Killer much, and especially not Nurse because I’m so bad at her, it’s ridiculous.
-
Jane is my avatar because she’s my main in-game. I had to rep her here!
-
I don’t think either of them are “op” per se, but Adrenaline is definitely better than Hex: No One Escapes Death. The health state and speed boost have come in handy for me quite a few times, whereas NOED is more easily countered.
-
I usually like to pound out the generator I spawn next to, and then go from there. I’ll try to go to the central generator most of then time if it’s an option to avoid trapping me and my teammates in the dreaded 3-gen situation.
-
I mained Claudette when I first bought the game primarily because I heard Self Care was a good perk. Her other healing perks were nice bonuses since I enjoy playing healers in other games. I now main Jane since she came out. I remember watching the stream and hearing the devs describe her as “their Oprah” and I was immediately interested. Once I saw her design, I fell in love with it. She’s jus too glamorous and powerful, I love it,
-
I’m neither a great looper nor a risk-taker, so I prefer to play more stealthy throughout most of a given match, but I will loop to the best of my ability if I am found by the Killer.
-
Frankly, I am never relaxed or calm, but Dead by Daylight keeps me on edge while I’m playing. It’s not often in a bad way, but there are definitely some days where I’m not feeling it and I try to play or do something else.
-
For your thoughts?
-
I enjoyed the double Bloodpoints for sure, but my matches that I have played during the event were all rather frustrating for one reason or another, like poor connection dropping me frequently or getting an annoying Killer to face.
-
The current price for the more rare skins in the store always struck me as a little expensive, but not enough to be unreasonable.
-
Very close toss-up between Hag and Trapper for me, but I would say a Trapper stopping me dead in my tracks worries me a lot more than running through tons of Hag traps.
-
I would at least try me best in the match, despite despising facing Spirit.
-
I’m no Killer main, but I would at least try my best against a SWF.
-
Demise of the Faithful for me. Both my favorite Survivor and favorite Killer came out of this Chapter, so I have a real appreciation for it as a result.
-
I peace out on sight if a Killer’s coming to my generator. I’ll allow the Survivor they’re chasing to loop while finding another generator to work on.
-
I’m cool with either because it’s content either way, but I feel like original Killers are where they have the most freedom to be creative. I mean, look at stuff like the Plague. I haven’t really seen anything else quite like it.
-
If you’re doing it just for perks, I would recommend Bill because his are overall stronger than Steve’s. Borrowed Time is one of the better perks in the game, and Unbreakable isn’t anything to sneeze at either. Left Behind is a little meh, but it did just get reworked to be a little better, so it would be at least fun to try out.
-
I would say Jane.
What? I don’t have a biased bone in my body. Perish the thought!
-
Claudette was my first main when I first picked up the game. She was a cool botanist, and a healer to boot. Since I enjoy playing support and healer in games, I was drawn to her immediately. I will say that one downside of playing her was that I developed a bad habit of being over-reliant on her perks, especially Self-Care.

I don't see her often and I'm quite frankly not interested in her.
However my boi Quentin could do with some thicclicious booty
The world could do with more Quentins! I hardly match up with any of them.
-
You know, prior to the Demogorgon, I probably would have said no, but now since it establishes the precedent that the Killer does not necessarily need to be human, I could see and undead Killer being added. I am interested in what they could be.
-
Placing Jane in anything less than S-tier is fallacious and blasphemous. She’s the queen!
-
I don’t main her, but Nancy would probably be my choice if I had to select a licensed Survivor.
-
I love polls, so I feel like I’ll browse the section regularly.
-
I’m a really altruistic Survivor, to the point where I like to run healing-focused builds. Since I’ve run into a lot of Legion or Plague, I’ve adopted more of a generic all-purpose one. I’m usually the first one on the site to unhook and heal teammates. I do focus on generators as well, and they may take a small priority over saving a hooked Survivor depending on the circumstances. I like cleansing totems where I find them, but I seldom actively seek them out, even when Hex: Ruin is in play. I usually ignore chests unless I’m lacking an item. My play style is usually without regard to how many Bloodpoints I will earn for actions. I am, however, extremely risk-averse, so I’d rather try hiding from a Killer than looping them if they’re nearby. I won’t usually unhook if the Killer is nearby despite usually running Borrowed Time and I would prefer to wait and see if the Killer will leave the area first.
-
Doctor, Pig, Demogorgon, Huntress, and Wraith all probably have my favorite voices one way or another in this game.
Least favorite is Spirit because I can’t stand the sounds she makes.
-
I’m using Jane’s Magazine Ready skin without anything else to swap into it. I mean, I just love all of the default components of that skin, so I couldn’t imagine swapping anything out on it.
-
I disagree. You can deny her power entirely by not cleansing from the sickness and just powering through it. It’s generally better to just stay injured than cleanse and heal only to be punished with her Corrupt Purge.
-
I think it’s simple: some people just want to watch the world burn. Both sides have those that are guilty of it.
-
I like the one generator that spawns on the top of the building in Disturbed Ward. It’s relatively safe, and I can hide or peel away with Balanced Landing if the Killer comes near.
-
I dislike camping, but there are definitely times where it is legitimate. There are also plenty of counters for it in the game through perks. Killers are already penalized for camping due to giving up patrolling the generators on the map and letting the other Survivors having free reign.
-
My best guess would probably be licensing issues that they’re still working through for those two since they’re licensed characters.
-
I started playing the game during a Double Bloodpoints event and did not find it much of a grind for perks and items at first, but once the event passed, I realized hard and fast that acquiring perks is much more of a slog than I had originally known. Now that I know how valuable these events are, I love turning around for them to try and lessen the grind I normally experience for perks. I’m a Survivor main, too, so I can’t even imagine what the grind is like for Killers who enjoy playing multiple different characters.
The grind definitely needs an adjustment, in my opinion.
-
I wonder if it would be better for the Bloodpoint economy if they just scrapped perk tiers at the moment. We simply have too many perks to unlock in addition to having to max them out to get the full benefits, and that’s not counting prestiging and having to start the grind all over again. Maybe that will help lessen the grind?
-
I’ve had a pretty hard time thus far. I lost connection for over half of my Bloody Party Streamers games, and outside of that have had a harsh time against the Killers today.
-
I keep Decisive Strike for insurance. I find that I may not use it all that often due to being slugged or being a bonehead and missing the skill check, but I am certain that the second I take it off, my next matches will all be times that I’ll need it but won’t have it anymore. Even if I try other builds for fun, the first thing I’ll think about is “I wish I had DS” after a few matches. As a result, I never take it off.
-
Usually stuff like camping or tunneling, but I find that it’s the worst when a teammate tries unhooking me right in front of the Killer without Borrowed Time and just farming me to them. It’s particularly annoying because I can’t really do anything about it in those instances.
-
I don't think it does, no. I think the closest thing that considers it healing is Adrenaline healing the Survivor from the Deep Wounds to Injured states.
-
Ace, I mean, ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) is practically his default facial expression anyway.
