    Hatch shouldn’t spawn at all.

And End Game Collapse should start after 10 seconds from the third Survivor’s sacrificing.

Its fair if Survivors were dominated so much.

    What do you think?

Well, I had games where teammates killed themselves on the hook, and I should still be able to escape so the hatch should spawn with 4 gens. 5 gens though I agree

I already admitted to presenting my point poorly before, my og post was supposed to be both kinda sarcastic and an actual complaint, and so I should've specified hostage doctors and hags. If they don't commit to a chase and go back to the gens, guess what. You walk back to the gen you were on and bam, you're actually in tier 3 and can't do the gen or bam, a hag trap pops off again and now you get hit and either go down or go away to heal. That, my friend, is what I'm complaining about. <3

A 3 gen is usually about 40 meters in lenght, so while you are keeping the doctor busy people can do the opposite gens, and hag's traps can be destroyed and avoided

Make 3 seconds stun. Julie’s Mix Tape, Joe’s Mix Tape and Cold Dirt increase movement speed in Frenzy or make them prevent Legion from fatigue after missed attack.

    Please, don’t ignore.

First thing real quick, where did I say Survivor is hard? One of the lines in my original post was "I don't like being treated like someone who still needs to suck on my mom's voluptuous tatta", which implies that I think survivors are pandered to. Secondly, 3genning isn't really that powerful, and I never said it was. It's pure ass to go against, it's boring, and none of the survivors have fun. Thirdly, if the killer is 3 genning, they won't commit to a chase that leads them away from the gens, you Clown.

    (get it, clown? haha)

Yeah but them not commiting to a chase means survivors just go back to the gens once the killer goes to another gen (because remember, 1 person on each gen)

Woah bros, I thought I already explained earlier that killers can set up a 3gen from the start of the game, and that whether survivors get 3genned is sometimes out of their controoool. But apparantely killers can't camp gens from the start of the game, I probably missed that reeeeeeally obvious detail, right?

If a killer camps 3 gens the whole match, he will have no hooks until 4 gens are left. By that time, a person that simply throws pallets early and wastes resources will create enough time for the 3 remaining to work on a gen each, but yes right survivor is really hard to play lol

Another exhaustion nerf and nobody using this perk anymore. Dead hard still has bugs(exhausted btw), lithe is bad, sprint burst is okay, head on is troll. What can i do in chases? Just running straight until i die?

You can not be a bot and use the 3 thousand pallets and windows the map has, and sprint burst is not ok, it is an awesome perk.

And why is that? BHVR making a perk that outright encourages 3genning isn't a cause for concern to you? It is for me, I mean, the last time I checked most people didn't enjoy going against hostage killers.

3 genning punishes survivors that dont plan the gens they pop. BHVR encouraging punishment for unplanned actions is GOOD

Can we talk about ruin without talking about red ranks? While lm sure that most people who have an issue with it being changed are at that rank, I have a hard time believing most of the population is at that level. In my games, at green ranks, gens arent done in 5-7 minutes *without* ruin, and it's even longer in lower ranks.

While I can understand the frustration the changes *can* cause at max rank, that's not where most players, and certainly not new players, will rest.

What I can say is that I feel this change will be healthier for those lower ranks/new players as we wont be nearly as frustrated because while red ranks can instantly find the totem, or hit *every* great check, I sure as heck cannot. I had a game the other day that took like 40 minutes because the killer couldn't catch us, and we couldn't do gens. That was abysmal. These changes will make that problem significantly less likely, and hopefully get more players in and retain them.

I know this post is dragging on, so one final point. If red ranks can beat through Ruin *anyway*, I'm not sure why it bothers those of that rank anyway. If ruin only delays the game like 30 seconds, it's not that big of a deal to lose it.

The thing about leveling the game with the bad ranks is that you arent comparing mechanic versus mechanic, but rather a side commiting plenty of mistakes versus another one doing the same. The balance should be looked on the red ranks because they are the place where people make less mistakes and the perks balance becomes clearer

  • @Boss said:

Is there a Perk, or are there any Perks, you think should be part of a Survivor's/Killer's character?

As Killer, i wouldn't mind if Survivors have No One Left Behind and/or Sole Survivor (minus the Obsession mechanic) as standard, though maybe NOLB without the "quicker Altruism actions" part.

As Survivor, i wouldn't mind if the Killer has Shadowborn and/or Stridor as standard, though maybe Stridor without the "louder Injured breathing" part.

Thought it'd make a good discussion.

You got any you'd like to see standard?

I mean, I dont think perks should be base because that is extremely lazy, but I think both sides can get some interesting buffs

  • @Gummi_da_great_fella said:

As a ######### survivor main, the new Ruin has me rather concerned. I mean, are we just going to ignore the fact that the new Ruin is gonna allow killers like Hag and Doc to 3gen even harder? Because I can see the number of 3genners rising, if not because Ruin allows it to be ridiculously strong, then simply out of spite against the Devs, which they then externalize via ruining all of the survivors' fun.

Like, just think about every 3gen situation you've won, and try to imagine winning it if the generator regression speed was twice as fast. If that doesn't send a chill down your spine, then maybe you haven't actually won any 3gen games, and I can't blame you for it.

Also, Devs, your clear survivor bias was obvious as ḿerde in the dev blog post, and the fact you even thought it was ok to hide the ranks at the endgame really does show just in how much of an ass direction this game is going. I don't like being treated like someone who still needs to suck on my mom's voluptuous tatta, even if most people who main the same side as I do still need to do that. Maybe it would be better to force them to let go of it instead of pandering to them, food for thought. Even though they can't eat yet becau- you get what I meant.

I really hope you are being ironic there

He’ll also have a Power Bar that the devs seem to love to put on killers. This Power Bar gives you survivors chances to escape chases since the killer has a cooldown to some degree, look at Nurse, and now Doctor.

    Nurse is fine

Do you have a favorite perk build that would be considered non-meta, survivor and killer?

The latest build I've played with is Spine Chill, We'll Make It, Urban Evasion, and Kindred. Works well for a stealthier play style and forgetting hooked teammates back into the game quickly, but at the expense of exhaustion perks and other useful ones such as Borrowed Time.

Every non meta build fails in something, so I just keep away from those perks

The thing is, YOU should prevent the Gens from popping, not any Perk. And well, of course a Gen pops in 25 seconds, when the Maps are big and Survivors spawn together (which cannot be correct, almost every time all 4 Survivors spawn at the same place, this was not the case a few patches ago...).

I mean saying you should prevent is such a dumb argument because you should heal yourself, not adrenaline. You should wiggle out, not DS. Perks have effects, gen regression is just one of those

  • @Rivyn said:

I figure it would be a fair compromise with Ruin being removed, after all.

Edit: Yes, I'm joking. But then, since 80% of the survivor playerbase does it, and new killers might find it frustrating and insulting, why shouldn't it be removed? Or limited? Only allowed to crouch once every three seconds.

Might as well remove pointing, flashlights, waving, turning your character, vaulting, dropping and every single survivor action so people can't be "toxic"

  • @BenZ0 said:

Here some words of an random bypassing ex doc main.

I saw many ppl in twitter, youtuber videos of some youtubers and here talking about doc's delayed shock. I am not talking about the 3 sec cooldown, I agree that this should get reduced because its just annoying. When you shock, the survivor will just get shocked kinda 1 second later. Ppl think that this is bad and might cause doc to be even worse but the truth is that is a genius 500IQ move from the devs. I know how could I say something like that??

So the problem at the old doc was, with the shock mode you are slowed down plus the extra slowdown from charging your power. So if you shock a survivor with the old Doc you have to switch stances to hit them after a shock and that costs alot of distance to you cause of the missing movementspeed. Thats why you end up running another loop to catch up again and this will be a endless circle. With the new doc that stays at 4,6 M/s this problem is getting fixed KINDA, you still struggle at some loops but on most of the loops like autohaven car pallets are not a big deal to you anymore.

The delayed shock gives you the extra time to shock WAY earlier and THEN to catch up because you speed up after you got slowed down from the charging action faster.

So basicly what happens with the new doc shock: Shock charge=90% movementspeed --> 3 sec after charging and 1 sec shock delay survivor gets schocked --> your full movementspeed is already back and you can position yourself to get ready for a hit.

I hope my wording doesn't confuse that much and you guys understood kinda what I meant, if not feel free to ask. Last conclusion, new doc shock is not that bad and this MIGHT be not that bad as many ppl think. But I still agree that the 3 sec cooldown sucks and after you snap out you will go back to T1 is a HUGE nerf to doc to is stall potential and his addons. And the shock range is way to small still, the 10% buff is to low aswell.

Yes, it is a huge nerf

whats the point of having a key if the hatch is only spawning at the end of the game. we've all seen it you look for that hatch and then when you find it you know you already checked there. keys are now a joke. might as well just delete them

The point is to have people use their keys when it is fair. On the endgame you had plenty of time to react to the key, by looking at the survivor and tunneling him. The only unbalanced thing of keys is 2 people escaping with 2 gens left, 3 with one or even 4 when you have a full endgame build

With The upcoming Ruin nerf, Clown will suck even more but his playstyle does look like fun. I'm in a dilemma should I buy Clown to test him out or should I just save my money?

Hey, 600 hours on Clown here. Honestly, no, he is sad to play and has possibly the highest skill cap in the game. Sometimes a single missed bottle costs you a game and even if you play perfectly, you are rewarded almost nothing. His power pretty much only forces a pallet to be dropped early, but does nothing against infinites and if you want to decrease the distance between you and a survivor, the slowdown post bottle will literally cancel the hindrance (Yeah, balance, bhvr).

He needs some addons, and his recharge time is to big. If you really want to play him tho, use perks to shave chase times and gen regression. I like Pop as my main perk (my fav one in game), Discordance/Corrupt/Sloppy (new ruin is terrible imo). To decrease chases, I use Brutal and Save the Best for Last (M&A is a great pick on him as well). My favorite addons are the starling feather and the thick cork stopper.

The only people bitching are red ranks. Stop ruining the game for one another and you’d actually enjoy it.

Red ranks are people complaining because they actually know how to play. Also, no one is ruining the game for one another by wanting unbalanced things removed

  • @LustForBP said:

Just why? These forums are constant bitching that the devs are “survivor-biased” or “killer-biased”.

From my observation, the majority of you bitching are the entitled red ranked survivors or killers.

Ruin nerf is not that big of a deal. Most good teams can go through gens easily with it and they usually find it within the first minute anyways. Essentially, it’s a waste of a perk slot.

Killers want: Slower generator repairs, Automatic 4ks with 0 generators repaired every game. Small one-sides maps. No DH, no DS, no BT, no Adrenaline, no nothing.

Survivors want: No camping, no tunneling, faster generator repair, no killer on the map.

Both sides have counter-plays to the others. For all you Superior Red Ranks to be so much more intelligent and experienced in the game, you sure ######### a lot.

Probably 1 in 5 games on Xbox I play a Red killer that runs ruin.

BHVR might as well remove Teachable perks from the game so everyone is limited to Unique Play-styles of each Character instead of meta-builds.

While there are people that do behave like you said, there are people who have knowledge on both sides and still think devs make mistake. Also, the bias in this game is obvious, just read the ptb patch notes. "Doctor was frustrating to play against" Doctor was literally one of the weakest killers in game, and the reason for the changes are survivor complaints and not the obvious unbalance. Also, Ruin was used by 80 percent of killers, but the same is true for DS, DH, SB and other perks that are seing no changes. So it is quite obvious that the devs can't balance things and do have a tendecy to favor survivors, and complaints aren't "bitching", they are real feedback of a situation of unbalance in the game. The PTB is a real nightmare, 4 survivors spawn together and before a killer can even reach the gen it is popped because of map size and the ruin nerf.

More bloodpoints for survivors means more to spend for key, flashlights, toolboxes, with powerful add ons like brand new parts, insta flaslight or white wards etc.

Which are so annoying to go against.

See the irony of your post there? 😉

Survivors also have 2 perks (maybe more but i have to look at it again), which gives you extra bloodpoints without an offering.

Don't forget, a killer have to go against 4 people while survivors have to go against 1.

So it is in place that a killer is awarded more bp than survivors.

And any decent survivor in red ranks get about 25k most of the times, which is about the same as a killer gets when 2 escape.

Hell i have had several games as survivor where i got 31k alsmost 32k without any offerings or perks that award extra.

So imo i think killers should get more than they get niw tbh as base.

This is coming from a survivor struggling to stay in rank 1. Stop it. The new ruin changes are needed. Almost every game I play the killer gets 2 or more kills. But no, the killer mains are gonna complain because the devs are starting to realize the game shouldn't be balanced around the killer getting 4 kills every single game. It should be balanced around 2 kills/escaping half your games.

Gen rushing doesn't exist. The survivors are supposed to want to get the gens done as fast as possible it's our OBJECTIVE ffs. The gens already regress pretty fast if they've been kicked but with the new ruin they're going to regress automatically as if they have been kicked. It's like all generators are automatically kicked with the new ruin. Oh, and I haven't even mentioned what it's going to be like if the killer kicks the gens and ruin is up? It probably will regress as fast as one survivor's base repair speed.

TL;DR: We haven't experienced the new ruin in game yet so we shouldn't be complaining right now. Also, gen rushing doesn't exist. Survivors are supposed to want to get the gens done as fast as possible.

Demogorgon is an insane killer, even on red ranks. His ability allows him to protect hexes extremely well, and he literally shuts down almost every infinite because of Shred. So. Doctor is in a bad place because he has a high skill cap for a relatively low reward and passive which only really works once for guaranteed tracking.

So. They didn't do anything to help him in a chase...well....idk how the no stance changing thing is gonna work but....they put that passive on a 60 second cooldown. A non lethal skill on a sixty second cool down. From the leaked add ons it looks like your going to HAVE to run distressing and the terror radius increasing add ons to even hope to use it.

Unless it's a guarantee tier of madness up. But even still, 60 second cooldown. If it's going to have that long a cool down idk. Put them on a timer to snap out of it if they're in tier 3 or else take damage or get downed or something. 60 seconds is an entire evil within 3

I think being in doctor terror radius should make you scream everytime and his shock therapy should have more range and be more threathening.
