Well, if you don't rely on sounds that much, good for you.
I said I don't have any issues with the sound quality on my setup. It was never even mentioned whether I rely or not on game sounds

Non-constructive feedback is saying "no" or "yes" without adding any arguments why. With my changes i bring arguments and examples, so this is definitly not the same :)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1008282#Comment_1008282
If you can in that situation the killer will be able aswell ^^
Your "argument" is that swf is stronger than the normal survivors because of the communication (perfectly true) but the way you butchered it is why the changes are too much

Sound directions are really important when you play as the Spirit. That's part of a reason why Stridor actually hurts her, sounds become so loud you can't determine the direction of it. It's so loud you can't even hear clearly footsteps! If you want to test your change, equip Stridor and play.
I don't have any issues with stridor and directional with her, maybe your sound programs or headsrt?

Yeah solo survivor with SWF is an awful experience. This is why i suggest to nerf the SWF and buff both the solo and the killer. To me it's seems you didn't read my thread.
Calling feedback non constructive when the same could be said about the absurd changes you proposed is weird

And you are surprised? There is not even Ruin nerf released and survivors are starting to cry for another killer nerf.
The fact that most survivors are whiny little shits doesnt justify you being salty in a thread where a player justs wants help

You probably aren't a fun person either, it's ok.

Hello :)
So i already posted this thread on the Steam forums and so far the feedback is mostly positive toward my idea ! So i thought it would be good to post it aswell to make it visible to the devs @not_Queen @Peanits
-----
So i see lot of threads about SWF and how annoying it is to play with and against them.
(I'm playing both solo survivor and killer in red ranks)
WITH : they usually left the solo survivor to die on hook or sandbag/farm him/her on hook
AGAINST : if there are friendly SWF, most of them are tryharding and even purposely being toxic towards the killer, and that is without taking in count that most of those groups use external communication such as Discord to gain an unfair advantage in coordination compared to a full solo group.
-----
There are lot of obvious solutions that comes to mind : remove 1-2-3 perks from the SWF but it usually would hurt the solo survivor playing with them as less perks means less chance to get saved or survive.
What needs to be done is balance the SWF while buffing the solo and the killer.
-----
Duos are not really a problem so this solution will only focus on 3 SWF and 4 SWF.
> 3 SWF + 1 Solo survivor
- Give the Solo survivor and the Killer a 5th perk slot.
- Reward the Solo survivor with 75% bonus BP
- Reward the Killer with 75% bonus BP
- Disable the perk Object of Obsession
> 4 SWF
- Make that the same perk/same item can only be equip by 2 members in the SWF
- Disable the perk Object of Obsession
- Reward the Killer with 100% bonus BP
This way, the team would actually have to decide who equip which perk, who is in charge of taking the killer attention, who is in charge of gens , who is in charge of healing/saving and who is the one doing all of those at once. That means up to two survivors of the group can equip the perk Borrowed Time, Dead Hard, etc
Communication would actually become more strategic and the key to surviving.
Example :
Survivor A : Decisive Strike + Dead Hard + Quick&Quiet + Iron Will
Survivor B : Bond + Prove Thyself + Iron Will + Sprint Burst
Survivor C : Borrowed Time + Sprint Burst + Empathy + We'll Make It
Survivor D : Decisive Strike + Dead Hard + Borrowed Time + Bond
-----
This is discussion, but please if you can, comment with some constructive idea/feedback.
This isn't a THEM vs US thread so NO "biased" "survivor main" "killer main" comments.
-----
Have a great day and see ya in the Fog !
Swf doesnt need balance
-
This game is survivor sided dev wise, since our competent management has already made their intentions of making the game "fun" for survivors clear many times. Otherwise, I agree with you, most killers now are more than capable of taking a swf with good players, except those 6 ######### ones
-
@PapiQuentin_ said:
So we all know that Iron Will hard counters Spirit right?
Well there are the occasions that a survivor doesn't have Iron Will and it's a Spirit.
They can do fine against her until they're injured, they are now a massive pain beacon for her to come kill.
My idea was for there to be a bit more fairness for the injured survivor but not stripping Spirit of too much of her strength.
My idea was to make survivors injured audio omni-directional (Can't discern where they actually are) when she is phasing.
I know what you're thinking. "You're essentially nerfing Spirit", that's not my intention and there's more to it.
After a period of time during her phase, the survivor sounds will become directional again. This idea was to make it so the injured survivor at least has a bigger chance to kind of give the Spirit the slip.
What are your thoughts on this idea? Is it good or bad?
I think the only change that should be done is to not have stridor counter iron will

I play both sides and consider the objective ridiculously easy and fast, and most experienced players would agree with me.
Keep reaching with that killer main stuff though.
Keep expecting people to make mistakes in your matches or, as you named it, "play casually".

I view gen rush as an extreme like you play a non mobile killer get a huge map with three or more toolboxes and they spawn on a gen it's not likely to happen but it does happen it's the equal to say a nurse, Billy or spirit using an ebony on say a smaller map i.e the game and just tunnelling one person out at a time
Yeah, that is fair. But the term genrush is used by most people to name a survivors playstyle of playing the game without losing
-
@Murcielago said:

Expect when it happens to that extreme it puts any non mobile killer in an unwinnable state
Yes that is bullshit but you do admit there isn't a genrush playstyle then?
-
@IridescentGatekeeper said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1006562#Comment_1006562
No I think this game was designed casually (generator times and maps) and hasn't been adjusted for "sweatier" play.
Healing people so they don't go down in a single hit is a natural thing to do and the developers factor time sinks like that into the generator times.
I'm not here to argue actually, I just wanted to confirm something that I thought most killer mains think
-
@IridescentGatekeeper said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1002360#Comment_1002360
Heal themselves or others, not bring a bunch of second chance perks and abuse the hell out of them. Maybe try not bringing 3 toolboxes and doing gens in 30s as a group before the killer can even chase someone.
I'm so tired of this HURRDURR DOING THE OBJECTIVE narrative that has been going on forever, the objective is really short and people maximize the most out of making sure it gets done lightning quick with lots of time buying strategies that offer little in the way of counterplay besides "break a bunch of pallets" and "don't tunnel" .
We don't want the objective gone, we want it extended a bit and the options by which to shorten the killers agency (godawful maps and second chance perks) to be toned down.
So you are saying survivors are supposed to not do the correct play and heal in bad times to make it easy for you, or else they are "genrushers"?
-
@Murcielago said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1003455#Comment_1003455
I'll tell you what a gen rush is i spawned on the other side of the map so one gen gone before I could physically make it there so I chase a survivor and after I hook him and go to a gen to pop it three gens popped by the time I made it to a gen that leaves me with what one gen left for a single hook
The survivors spawned, and saw a gen. It is natural that they work in it. A person was being chased, they worked gens, absolutely normal gameplay

No, his bottles are legit useless without add-ons, because he slows himself down after throwing a bottle, which cancels the slow from his bottles. So the hits you got with your bottles, you would've got them anyway. Also, his base reload time is awful and he has nothing else to help him outside of a chase. I really don't see how Plague could be more add-on reliant than him.
That is a very common mistake, you dont use bottles chase survivors but to cancel loops
-
Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, I played a ton of Clown with no addons and he literally counters himself without addons that reduce his slowdown
-
@Stitch7833 said:
So i know alot of people bash clown for being the worst killer, but recently iv been playing each killer perkless and add-onless (yeah i dunno why either) but in doing so i have gained a good understanding on which killers are stronger by default and which are not. so plague is actually very weak on alot of maps due to good survivors being able to use walls etc. to avoid getting hit by your puke/most of your puke, this of course isnt a big deal with the add-ons that increase its effectiveness but without it? well you might as well just smack them and be done with it. clown however his default bottles are decent, they can shorten loops and allow you to catch up in spots you normally wouldnt making him stronger by default however when we introduce add-ons plague gets alot stronger and the clown slightly stronger, but then when using perks plague takes the lead. So do we test viable as default or with changes? either way leather face needs slightly reduced charge time and slightly increased acceleration by default and he`d be decent.
I highly disagree, default plague only takes more time to have everyone one shot or insta down madness

Gen rushing doesn't exist? So you're fine with getting tunneled then, right? Survivors are supposed to be efficient with their objectives, yes. And killers are supposed to be efficient with their objective; kill. Attack the weaker survivor. Get someone out of the game as fast as is possible.
Tell me what is gen rush

How many times has gen rushed been described as the speed in which gens get done vastly outstrips many killers' ability to compensate, rather than survivors doing their objective? Any decent killer will tell you that you doing your job is not the problem. It's about the issues of the gens themselves as it relates to other factors that work against the killer, the main one being time.

gens can go in 4 minutes even if the killer is a great one lol I’m not saying I’m a great killer but I’m not terrible either
For the gens to pop in 4 minutes it means you havent patrolled them once, since it is the minimum amount of time
-
@DBD_Pinhead said:
So the devs nerfed Ruin. It's really not that much of a surprise from my experience playing so far how changes have been mostly in line to help survivors. We all know gens will fly faster without it and destroy certain killers. Now is the time to prove gen rush exists: switch to survivor, arm your toolboxes with second chance perks, and burn through gens.
With not having to deal with Ruin on the survivor side, this will make things easier (i.e. fun) for us to give the devs all the data they need to make the changes to the game to improve overall health and experience for both sides. If they are not biased, then the issues we have about speed, mechanics, and maps will be addressed, which is more than going on forums and talking about the same thing ad nauseum. We know the issues and the flaws. It's time to exploit it to our advantage as survivor mains have.
I don't know if it was done in the PTB but if it's data the devs want, then let's give them the data they need. Just an idea.
So you say genrush exists. What are the survivors supposed to do?
-
@GHOSTfaceP3 said:

Obviously they'd have to add a "select mori" in the customization menu.

Yeah this is awesome actually

It seems to have gotten so bad lately I just want to uninstall and never look back. I kept going against red ranks and getting mercilessly trashed with 0-1 kills, gens all being done and egc in an average of 6 minutes and sometimes getting less points than the survivors. Now I'm rank 15 and with the reset still going against pretty strong 5-8 ranks that were probably purple or reds. I stopped using ruin so I can get used to not having it, and never camp or tunnel. I have more fun as survivor but can only play survivor in the late mornings and then it becomes a 15 minute average wait. I play Trapper, Clown, and Wraith.
I just started Sea of Thieves, the ultimate game pass was on sale and the game seemed tempting. I havent opened DBD is 12 days, so you can refresh your mind with other games

Thinking corrupt, thrilling tremors, discordance, and pop. Or, corrupt, surge, surveillance, and something else... Maybe pop? Seems weird running that work surge though.
Give me suggestions please.
Wraith has a ton of map pressure so maybe fix chase instead of a ton of regression. Imo STBFL is a great perk on him because you surprise attack people and have a bigger chance of hitting them again with the smaller cooldown. Nurse's is a great pick on him as well. I would go with Pop, discordance, Save the Best and Nurses/Sloppy

Borrowed is only really beneficial if you are against a camper. Farming with borrowed usually results with 2 downs, forcing a borrowed makes you have to mend, hook tech usually makes an exchange

I mean this is basically it that and the devs are potatoes at DBD. Regarding their gaming experience most of the devs seem only casual and not into overly challenging games. If you think a skill check is hard than you haven’t played a soulsborne game or any high learning curve multiplayer game. If you win in those games you feel accomplished like it was all for something. But skill checks are op according to the devs they are the equivalent to a Bloodborne boss 😬
Yo you can't offend devs by calling them potatoes they have like 80 hours in their game

Hi!
Just wanted to address one common concern I've seen from the community. "They nerfed Ruin so it wouldn't be hard for new Survivors."
That's not quite what the intention was. This is subtle, but bear with me.
New Ruin is in fact really brutal for new Survivors... because it is insidious. They have no idea what's happening, and they struggle to get gens done at all. That little zap effect when you take your hands off a gen? Barely noticable to a new player who's panicing because of the L3 Terror Radius they are hearing. It's not even noticable that the gen is regressing twice as fast as if the Killer had damaged it.
What we wanted to do was not "make it easy for new players" but "make it less frustrating for new players". In playtests with newer Survivor players, it was 4k with 4 or 5 gens up almost every time. But they didn't hate their time in the game as much because those red skill checks weren't in their faces.
I'm looking forward to playing on the PTB with some of you tomorrow; see you in the Fog!
Hi, the patch notes were clearly sided, and balancing your game around mistakes terrible/novice players make is very stupid. These recent changes just made the game extremely easy for good survivors, and took out the little punishment players received for failling skill checks. Really, you don't butcher a perk because it is hard for players with <20 hours to understand what is in the match, because that basically screwed the rest of the community

@The1Switchblade said:
So I know Nurse is considered Top Tier and really OP to those who know how to play her. But then there are some of us that just can't play her, either as she's difficult or due to her actual screech causing real life pain! Since she has a split community side, and neither side can usually agree on her, I've been thinking about how to make her fun to play against and to play as, as right now many can agree she's neither.
Much like the Freddy rework, I want her to change a lot, but not change her characteristic!
So I read her biography, I've checked what people find fun about her, what people hate about her, and what makes her unbalanced. With these checks I believe I've made a fun playable version of Nurse that I would really appreciate feedback on, especially from Developers as I'm a big fan of their game and want to see this game stay alive.
So this change ignores her perks, keeping them the same. Everything else is different.
Nurse has 116.5% speed, she floats which is why she is faster. Her lunge is short. Her terror radius is between normal & large, so moderately big. She has two abilities, one is passive & aggressive while the other is defensive.
Her defensive ability is called Fading. When about to be stunned by a pallet, firecracker etc. or be blinded by a flashlight, she can trigger the Fading to become a black smokey figure that ignores the stun and any stun during. While in this mode she can also still pass through objects. (If in a object when Fade ends gets kicked out of it and stunned as if by pallet so avoid staying in things!) This process is a simple button press. After 6 seconds of being Faded, she will return to normal mode. She cannot attack in Fade Mode, she moves at a slower pace in Fade Mode. It has a 40 second cool-down. She will do a quiet screech to acknowledge the Fade worked. Being stunned whilst in the process of Fading will lead to her not Fading but suffering the cool-down, while also being unable to move and looking directly down. She will screech loudly when stunned in this style. Normal stuns have normal stun duration and do not prevent movement or cause her to look down, and she will screech normally. This means that you must use Fade correctly to gain reward, and timing is everything meaning she is skill based! Pallets will not break by Fading, nor will the perks Spirit Fury & Enduring work while fading making these perks pointless for Nurse for this part.
Her passive & aggressive ability is called the Choking. Her normal terror radius is moderately big, but half of this radius will be the Choke Zone which is deadly to survivors who stay too long inside of it. When the match starts, survivors have a smokey circle around their icons indicating they are facing Nurse. When in the Choke Zone it will fill up within 10 seconds. If fully filled it will injure a healthy survivor. If already injured then this will lead to the survivor being downed. When injured, it takes 5 seconds to recharge before the second Choking happens which will down you. To avoid this escape the Choke Zone and wait 20 seconds for the Circle to empty. Nurse cannot see these effects happen, and only is indicated when survivor becomes injured or downed. This means Nurse is a strong Anti-Body Blocker Killer while also making her deadly in close distance chases. A stealthy nurse can also cause trouble, meaning watching your icon is important. As this is a passive ability there is no cool-down for when it starts, it starts once you actively go too close, or she gets too close. This also gives Nurse more interesting perk combos to try out.
Her Add-Ons remain at their current rarity & story based description, and are as follows:
Wooden Horse: If stunned during a failed Fade, reduces stun time from 8 seconds to 5 seconds. White Nit Comb: Increases Fade duration from 6 seconds to 8 seconds. Does not stack. Plaid Flannel: If stunned during a failed Fade, will allow you to move camera during stun instead of being stuck looking down! Metal Spoon: No matter the type of stun, always makes your screech quiet. Pocket Watch: Increases Fade duration from 6 seconds to 10 seconds but increases cool-down by 5 seconds. Does not stack. Dull Bracelet: Reduce Choke Zone Terror Radius to Small (devs know sizes) but increases Bloodpoints in Deviousness for each choke attack score. Dark Cincture: If stunned during failed fade, allows movement at slow pace, but camera remains fixed to floor during the stun duration. Catatonic Boys Treasure: Reduces Fading time by 1 second, allowing for faster reaction speed. Bad Man Keepsake: While in Fade see the aura of all injured survivors, even in lockers. Spasmodic Breath: When stunned in any way lets out a loud screech that can be heard all across the map. Heavy Panting: Increases the speed of Choke Damage, now takes 6 seconds to injure/down instead of 10. Fragile Wheeze: Choke Damage takes 15 seconds instead of 10 seconds but when someone is choking, reduces swing cool-down of missed attacks. Ataxic Respiration: When a survivor stuns you they become exhausted for 60 seconds. Anxious Gasp: When Fading all Survivors screams showing you their aura, excluding those hiding in lockers or with Calm Spirit. Kavanagh's Last Breath: When a survivor stuns you they become exhausted for 30 seconds, stacks. Also their aura is shown to you until next injured or if already injured, downed. Jenner's Last Breath: While in Fade, all skill checks become small great skill checks only until Fade ends. Campbell's Last Breath: Increases Fade duration to 15 seconds. While Faded block all generators but doesn't cause regression or kick. If a gen is being worked on they will be kicked of off it. Increases cool-down to 60 seconds. Bad Man's Last Breath: Become invisible upon fading & increases Terror Radius by 10%. Torn Bookmark: Transforms the entire Terror Radius into Choke Zone. Matchbox: When stunned in any way, the stunner gets injured. If already injured, gets downed.
Those are all her add-ons, and here's some good combos:
Ataxic Respiration & Kavanaghs Last Breath -- Bad Mans Last Breath & Torn Bookmark -- Ataxic Respiration & Matchbox -- Fragile Wheeze & Torn Bookmark -- Heavy Panting & Torn Bookmark -- Dark Cincture & Plaid Flannel.
If you can see more, by all means leave comments on it.
With these changes to Nurse, we can't just ignore one other thing, which is obviously her map, Crotus Prenn Asylum. So here's the changes I envisioned for her map!
The lore description remains the same, and so does the Map-Tile-Layout I'd assume.
The design on map: Most of the centre map is taken up by the large two-story cylindrical building of Crotus Prenn Asylums core, where the patients were held in solitary cells and where the centre was for treatment. On the left of the core building was the Nurses Building, a one-floored area where Nurses kept files etc. and where Sally was found rocking after the incident. On the right side of the core building are remnants of the Original Hospital that has become a Jungle-Gym for troublesome teens. Large barbed walls cover the courtyard, along with a lonely tool shack (killer hut) and a few outside smoking shelter zones for the nurses. The walls are covered in graffiti from teens who dared set foot within, including Nea's signature sign somewhere. As for the fire, well, it started in the now destroyed attic which can be seen from the courtyard as burning timber beams with black smoke still rising and the damage can be seen on the second floor where the attic stairs once stood.
But that is everything. The Nurse rework in all her glory. What do you think? I doubt it's perfect, as things always need tweaking, but do you think it gives her more fun and a horror factor?
I made these changes with a real heart-felt process and really want to see something good for the Nurse come out of this as right now she is either too powerful or too weak, and quite frankly, no creation should end up un-played due to circumstances like that. It's another reason I came here with this idea, so like Freddy, she can come up and be accepted and played by everyone, rather than only being played for crutch reasoning or memes.
And to a developer if you're reading this, keep up the good work. I know this community has it's bad seeds, but with progress and working together, I doubt there's anything you guys & girls can't do. And too the community reading this, lets just enjoy the game we have in all its uniqueness. It may have bad days, but it is unique and ever changing, and I love being a part of it! And so should you.
See you in the fog!
Look, very cool concept for a new killer, but the nurse is very close to being balanced. All it needs to happen is for the carge to continue even if you are using your blinks and the double stun be removed

Honestly discordance is probably meta now. Can't wait for it to get nerfed because it is frustrating to go against

I’m trying to figure out what ranks most of the people upset about the ruin nerf are on. What is your current rank, and please be honest? Thanks.
Also, and you don’t have to share, but what is your age range? Like 12-15, 18-25, 25-30, etc. I sort of am wondering if this forum is mainly teenagers by some of the posts.

For survivor i once mistook No mither for dead hard. I just saw David and said yeah that's the perk i want. You can imagine my surprise when i entered the trial injured
For Killer i once started a match and i did horrible. I could find any survivors constantly lost them in chase. It wasen't untill one gen was left i realised i had my headphones on backwards so all the sounds were reversed
