Why 3 different options for one thing. Tunneling and Slugging are both valid strategies, Camping is just being toxic and throwing the game to ruin a persons game 9/10 times.
-
The minimum attempts should not be as low as 1 and the maximum attempts should not be as high as 6. 3-4 is usually the sweet spot even if the Trapper is on the other half of the map so why not just fix it there, and if the killers are still struggling with it they can always use addons. As on survivors side, other people rescuing you would finally have a meaning.
-
It is fair mostly. Him getting a notification when someone is rescued is just bs. Also perks like WGLF should work on those.

because there is literally zero counterplay. They were trapped in place indefinitely, or at least would have been if not for the endgame collapse. That's taking the game hostage by definition.
Yes, if there was no timer it would be, but there was. Also having no counterplay is nothing close to being bannable.

but if i have ruin, wouldn't that just make thanatophobia kinda useless? (i don't have plague but I can get her with my auric cells i almost have enough). also i can get dying light i have myers.
Game slowdown and gen regression don't make each other weaker, they actually benefit each other. If you had full Dying Light stacks with Ruin for example it would take survivors longer to gain back the regression Ruin did to them, although I don't recommend Dying Light to you since it's not a great perk.
As a Huntress your strength are chases and pushing people off gens from a distance, Ruin would work well with this so you can combine it with Undying if you want. As for information, BBQ and Bitter Murmur are both great on Huntress since she has the ability to deal damage from very far away. I am no Huntress main though, your best bet is YouTube for this.
-
Nope, you need to heal a full progress bar worth in total, so if you healed 2 people with someone else it would work. Second Wind is nice but it's like a weaker Deliverance, similar conditions for a much weaker effect. Inner Strength is as good as self healing perks get in this game but even it is only mid-high tier.
-
Well they are technically exclusive until they come to the market, early access if you call it that. It staying exclusive for more than a year after getting it is enough for me, no one will even care you have this cosmetic a week after the rift anyways, including you.
-
Don't spend cells on it until you finish it. If you do finish it spend the cells and you will get them all back anyways. If you didn't have the time to finish it, then you didn't waste any cells on it.
-
I think this sample size is too small to look at each map and killer separately. Like you say the Oni has a 87.5% kill rate, that could mean you faced him twice and only one person escaped from one of those matches which means nothing, or you faced him 20 times and 10 people escaped in total which is a much more reliable data. These things make the data feel less trustworthy but overall amazing work though, that's less DS's than I was expecting to be honest.
-
You can work on your fast vaults and looping as a survivor in the tutorial if you want.
-
You should make an ingame report before anything else or the next thing I'm gonna tell won't even work. You can also go to the DbD Support page and create a ticket IF you have evidence of the occurrence. I'm not sure how well evidence will work as a screenshot but if you get a hacker on tape this is what you should do.
-
Of course this is body blocking but its not taking the game hostage, so it's not bannable. You didn't trap them in a place indefinetly, your intentions wasn't to troll them, you just waited for the timer to run out so they die. If it's a valid strategy why would it be bannable.
-
The truth is, none of the "waste killers time" gimmicky perks like Diversion or Deception are gonna do much. If you really want to waste killers time, bring perks to last as long as you can in chases. Sprint Burst/Dead Hard are the best exhaustion perks and help a ton in getting to safety. Iron Will makes you make no sounds while injured, if you are skilled at reading the killer in a chase you can use this extremely aggressively, like running to another loop when the killer goes for a mindgame. Combine these with things like BT which wasted killers time if they hit the unhooked survivor.
Then there is stealth, if done right can waste a ton of time but if overused it can easily become hurtful to you. Just do it for small amounts if you are not yet comfortable with it, like hiding behind a generator/in a locker with BBQ, not showing yourself when the killer approaches you etc. Spine Chill is also a very good choice for this, there is nothing more time consuming for a killer than running around in a place looking for a survivor.
-
You could also say that they can drop a pallet and hold W, or vault a window and hold W. Most times you can play around these or bring a perk to counter these if you are struggling. Personally whenever I play Pig I always have STBFL and Brutal.
-
I like em, they work like already dropped down pallets when combined with a window, but breaking it doesn't turn that area into a dead zone, instead turns it into an unsafe loop. You also have the choice of spending time breaking them to remove the risk of being looped there.
Though I gotta agree, some breakable walls are very badly placed, they could definitely have done a better job. Like the one in the Asylum which does literally nothing.
-
Tall Blight boiii.
-
Thrilling is better for information with a little bit of slowdown slapped on it, BBQ is better for endgame information and double bloodpoints, which makes it better on its own.
-
You can think of the "Break Action" as anything Brutal Strength works on.
-
I can't even imagine what I would do against competent survivors as Blight if I couldn't flick, I hope you the best fellow Blight.
-
People haven't learned anything from the last time I guess. If you forgot, this was removed from the game because the insane amount of lobby dodgers lead to much longer queue times. So no thanks, we don't need longer queue times that we already got.
-
My curse is the Swamp, whenever I play Blight literally 9 out of 10 maps I get is Swamp, the game hates me.
-
Most solo queue players don't know to split on gens and usually tail me around when I'm looking for a gen, Prove Thyself helps a bunch because of that. Also free bloodpoints are always nice.
-
No thanks. No ranged killer should be 115%.

Bad idea, Survivors cant defend totems or stop the Killer from breaking them and once someone memorizes the spawns it will be easy to just get rid of them while patroling gens.
I mean they can make perks like that but after the initial rush nobody would play them at higher for the same reason Hexes are not that good past green ranks except on high mobility Killers.
But what if, they didn't know it was their totem. So by breaking a Hex they could be breaking their own or the killers!
-
Proxy isnt, since it's easily punished by those survivors. Tunneling? Debatable with everyone runnig DS. Slugging? Of ######### course, I don't even get how people compare slugging to camping/tunneling. Slugging is a completely fair strategy, you are literally not getting hooked so where's this hate is coming from.
-
@Kirkylad said:
Tunneling is only viable if they go after a weaker player. If they make the mistake of going after a strong looper they can be lucky to get a 1K and In some cases get 0 kills if the survivors a lot better than them in chase.
Many killers can basically bypass loops like Spirit. This sadly doesnt apply anymore.
-
I don't know about others, but personally I was kicked a lot as a baby. When I asked them why they were doing this, I was always told that I could kick babies when I grow up so I should shut up, but when I did eventually grow up I learned that it's actually illegal to do so. I was devastated. I searched far and hard and found this game as the only chance I had to satisfy my need to kick babies. This is why in any chance I get, you can be sure that I will kick that babeh no matter the cost.

If we are talking about full power reworks I say Legion maybe, his power is just so meh in every way possible. Meh in chases, meh in pressure, meh in mobility. Secondly Myers, you get his power a few times in a match and it only gives him instadowns and makes him do some things like lunging and vaulting slightly better.
If you mean changes to their existing powers;
- Trapper should get a bag increase,
- Spirit's power should be more easily counterplayed without nerfing her since she is absolutely balanced against good teams. Personally I would add levels to her phasing sound, very quite if she is far away and very loud if she is right on top of you. Also injured sounds should be inaudible while phasing.
- Freddy should be made harder. Everyone saw him dominate the killrate table and everyone knows he is far from being the strongest killer, so the reason for that killrate is people winning with him in lower ranks. Increase the skillcap and it will balance out.
- Pyramid Heads attack should be more punishing of letting go. Right now his power is as strong as Huntress's hatchets at windows and pallets on a 115% killer and without the need to reload. I think he should have at least one thing going against him in those scenerios, so letting go giving him a bigger slowdown or increasing the time he can't attack after would be a good change in my opinion.
These are what comes to my mind for now.
-
I don't think either side is boring. Playing survivor is fun but only in chases, otherwise it's meh. Killer on the other hand I think is the most fun role in the game, but it's very stressful. I have realized that the less I care about each match the more fun I have from killer. The reason for this stress is the general unbalance around the game. I don't feel stressed when I'm using Spirit against survivors with no items but I do feel very stressed playing Legion with full addons against 4 items or Blight in a match with Swamp offering (at least thats getting fixed). If these imbalanced were to get fixed I don't think killer role would need any more changes.
-
Feng and Cheryl has the best perks. Yui, Felix, Zarina and Ash has some fun perks that you can use once in a while. Jeff, Steve and Quentin I say leave for late.
-
Using keys on hatch is unfair already, this is just icing on top to be frank.
-
I made a thread about this a while ago, as far as I understood devs don't want prestiging to give any useful rewards whatsoever and want to keep it more as a bragging thing.
-
A "safe rescue" from the ground with this would go well. I completely agree with making WGLF stacks easier to come by but survivors shouldn't get them in scenarios where they up a survivors just to make killer hit them and get distance.
-
STBFL is one of the strongest perk on some killers. Also no, a perk doesn't need a buff if it's not meta in every single killer.
I play Piggy all the time and I never leave home without STBFL. Most games I usually have 3-4 stacks by the time first gen or two completes and the increase in pressure I get from it is tremendous. It's an amazing perk.
-
No. Rift and event cosmetics already get added to the store after a while and no one else is getting legacy other than people who got them at the time. You can already spend your shards on the actual store, its not like we have a surplus of them.

The thing is that people do talk to the devs about things in the game that are unfair and unbalanced but they just ignore them. Freddy is getting nerfed because he's apparently too op and boring to play against. All people can do is try and make the game balanced by not running all the open stuff until they balance them out.
It still won't do anything to complain to other people for using these things because most people won't limit themselves just for you and the people who would, already do. You can either complain or give feedback to the developers, just accept that "it is what it is" or stop playing. Sadly we got no other choice.
Also I believe Freddy only needs a higher skill cap, not a nerf. His only problem is how easy he is, his actual strength isn't even close to S tier killers.
-
You should be telling this in Feedback, not General Discussion. If there is a strong item, of course survivors will use it until it's changed or removed. Expecting them to not is meaningless since this isn't their fault, it's the developers fault who still haven't fixed them. Many people play to win, not to mess around or chill.

Past 3 days it's been nothing but haddonsfield, corn maps, gideon meat plant, and 2nd chance perks. How are killers supposed to have fun when the survivors want full control at all times? Let me pick freddy and slap on a dead dawg saloon offering, I'll get called trash and boring.
And you are calling survivors boring right now, it's the same deal. If you are complaining about survivors using their best tools to try to win a game then you don't understand the concept of a competitive game. You are allowed to do the same thing and they are allowed to complain just like you are right now. If you have a problem not with the players, but with the mechanics, complain to the developers who made them instead.
-
Because there is no tutorial. People play this game for a few hundred times crouching around everywhere cause they don't know any better, of course those people won't know how to loop.
-
If you are being nice, don't do it for other people, do it if YOU think they deserve it. When I play survivor I only play nice to people who also play nice by not tunneling/camping or being toxic in general. And as a killer I only give hatch to survivors who I thought deserved it because of a ######### team or me tunneling them too much in the game because of not being able to find anyone else. My point is that do nice things if YOU think you should, so if they turn out toxic at the end you wouldn't feel betrayed, you would just be less gullible next time.
-
To be honest this isn't even a discussion. This would literally kill the game because no killer in their right mind and below 3k hours would face swf, which would ruin the matchmaking times for both the killer and SWFs and discourage people from playing with their friends and most of the time playing in general. Also people here are underestimating how many SWFs are there in red ranks. +10 minutes is a very reasonable assumption.
-
As a survivor anything other than red is full of potatoes and everyone else will go down in 5 seconds every game. In red ranks this is more like one in every two games so its much better.
As a killer like me, I find purple ranks too easy because of how most SWFs are in red ranks so I have to face Solo Q people, which are fundamentally very weak in comparison. Red ranks is where I need to actually try hard in some matches while I still get plenty potato matches too so I find it preferable.
-
I say high B tier, amazing mobility and good stealth potential both of which improve drasticly with addons. Chase potential is an issue but even killers like Ghostface who is an A-B tier killer face it, map mobility and being able to quickly switch chases should make it much less of a problem.
-
Technically yes, I mean even a system that matches people according to how many times they vault a window would be better than what we have now which means it would work.
-
You have to either go directly behind the unhooker or wait until the unhook is just about to complete. Hitboxes don't move fluidly with animations, each animation usually has a point where the hitboxes actually move but if you hit them before that like you did here shouldn't expect their hitboxes to be exactly where you see them. It's like hitting a survivor on a window or pallet, if you hit after their feet touches the ground their hitboxes will be on the other side and it will likely be a miss for you
-
A nice idea to test in a PTB but I think his non-Demon form is what actually needs buffs.
-
Either the perk needs a rework or totems need to be made easier for Solo Queue, like a totem counter or being able to mark totems for teammates to see. Doing every single bone is not an option when you are playing with green-yellow ranks every match as a red rank... and don't forget that you need to do every single one, even doing 4 of them on your own may not be enough to prevent this perk.
-
I don't want lightning fast matchmaking if there literally is no matchmaking, and I don't want a pinpoint accuracy mmr system if it takes a year to find a match. They need to just do a combination of both, it can't be THAT hard, every other competitive game has done a better job than them.
-
I haven't seen a survivor grief/afk because they don't like the killer in months, but I see people kill themselves daily. You can't do much about it as the killer, I usually give the last survivor hatch in those situations so at least they don't depip.
-
Anything more than 15-20 seconds is overkill imo. A Huntress shouldn't be able to hit you with a hatchet to disable your exhaustion perks until you get hooked. On the other hand, Mindbreaker's 5 second exhaustion feels a too short since survivors with Sprint Burst can get rid of it after 1-2 pallets/windows. 20 seconds would be good to me, it would remove the survivors exhaustion perk for that chase but you would need to reapply for future chases.
