Anything that would make DS feel less mandatory gets a yes from me. No survivor ever sees an obsession and thinks "killer likely has an obsession perk", everyone just assumes it's someone having DS so it's not a nerf or a buff to those killer perks whatsoever either.
-
In The Game map there are around as much pallets as there was before the update, but the main problem is around 80% of them are god pallets. Either lessen the amount of make the mindgameable.

To explain all you need to know to be a good m1 killer is Time Management & Knowledge about the Maps/Loops
Time Management and map knowledge are both considered skills. That's like saying chess doesn't require skill because it's all about memorizing openings and knowing how each piece moves.
-
The playerbase is not growing right now, this means for however many players are starting to play the game, around that many veterans are leaving. If the developers don't stop with their current streak of awful updates this will get worse. So yes, I think the game will die if it goes on in its current state.
-
Bloodpoints don't mean anything if people don't have fun playing the game because of all the awful updates.

"Pretty good job so far"
They dont believe theyve done anything wrong. They believe ignoring feedback and the community in general is ok. They will do with their game, what they want. And its going to eventually blow up in their faces.
That won't happen until we get another DbD style game, and the more updates we get like this more impatient I get for a game like that.
-
This was 24 meters. I'm happy about this.
-
I relate to your taste in killers majorly. I would recommend Spirit or Huntress for you, both are very competent killers even in high ranks and both have a unique playstyle with a high skill cap. I'm not in to killers with strong but hard to hit abilities, but I would say give Oni a shot too, he is a strong killer with a downside of having to play as an M1 killer half the match but in return being insanely strong in the other half.
-
Laurie, so DS is a part of the default pool. New players need protection against that new killer tunnel syndrome.
-
I mainly play Blight, Pig, Freddy and Spirit because they are my only killers with all perks unlocked.
I play any other killer for rift challenges.
I hate playing Billy, I just really don't like his power. I love facing him as survivor though.
-
Killer - Save The Best for Last or Spirit Fury+Enduring are both my favorite setups.
Survivor - Autodidact and Head On are the perks I have most fun with.

I do notice the collision, just not nearly as much as people on here talk about.
I also take issue with his hit turn radius out of rush even more.
To turn sharply in your ability, swing your mouse first and then press M1. As for the collision, try colliding with the snow piles in Ormond, most cars in Autohaven maps, most trees in Swamp, any of the benches in Haddonfield, the boxes behind trucks. You just slide off.

I view fine polished and simply needing a rework as a bit different from one another.
For needing a fine polish/clunky: I'd say Plague, Pig, Demo, Ghostface...maybe a tiny bit Blight
They all have some things that are inconsistent, features that don't make sense, or abilities that don't end up doing what they're supposed to.
I would say a ton on Blight. He needs the collision fixed on half the objects in half the maps.
-
That Nurse didn't lose because she tunneled, she lost because she wasn't playing good and she only had 1 blink. She would have left with a 0K if she didn't tunnel, she got a 1K because she tunneled. If she was actually a decent killer, that would be 1 survivor dead after the 3rd hook in the game, just because the survivor didn't have DS.
You can't really blame the killers for this though since it is a strategy strongly in their favor, so of course they will use it. It's the devs fault for this being a thing in the first place.
-
That's what happens when the game doesn't provide its players with any information on how to actually evade the killer. All good survivors have to learn basically everything from Youtube and such which means remaining survivors have no idea what they are doing and hide most of the game, even in purple ranks. The current survivor tutorial doesn't even have a single pallet in it, that's how bad it is.
-
Breathing and grass sounds are your only hopes in these scenarios. If you get used to listening for them you will find survivors much easier.
-
If you didn't eat their DS the whole game and still only hooked them once or not at all the whole game, then I do think they deserve a free escape if they manage to go open a door before you down them. That's you underperforming.

Or you could say it's a bug which the devs will never fix.
Exactly, I love him but damn he makes me wanna DC in half the maps.
-
The only difference between his ability and an actual gun is the downtimes he gets and the fact that he cant down you through a pallet (but still can injure you). You can't do anything against him, you have no information on when he is going to shoot unlike Huntress, all you can do is try to juke around and pray he misses, which also loses you distance so he can literally walk up to you and hit you. His ability is like Nurse but remove the prediction part, remove map mobility and add a lot of downtime. You don't have chases with him since there is no way you run him around for more than a few seconds if he is good, you slam gens while he is reeling in/reloading/patrolling/hooking.
-
She does have counterplay, but it is very difficult compared to playing her. You have to be a top tier survivor or a Spirit main yourself to predict even mediocre Spirits reliably. This is why most people complain about her.
She is unbalanced in the aspect that survivors should have more to go off of when predicting her ability. Also her being able to hear injured sounds makes Stridor a broken perk on her and playing against her without Iron Will near impossible.
-
That's not the killers problem actually. Most cars in Autohaven, most trees in the Swamp, the boxes behind any of the trucks, most benches in Haddonfield and most snowpiles in Ormond has literally no collision right now. Sadly it's one of the many problems with this otherwise very well designed killer.
-
This sounds like a fun challenge. I will try to buff them enough to make a difference but without breaking them.
BBQ - You can now see survivors behind generators.
Ruin - Whenever it's broken all the generators that are currently regressing will continue regressing in the default speed as if they were kicked.
Pop - Instead of 25% it's now 35%.
Corrupt - Instead of "3 furthest generators", make it the "a group of 3 generators that is furthest from you" so you wont get games where 1 gen in every corner is blocked and the perk is useless.
Nurses - It shows survivors healing in your terror radius with a minimum range of 24 meters.
STBFL - Hitting the obsession in healthy state costs 2 stacks, if they are in injured state it only costs 1 stack. Synergizes better with Slinger, Legion etc.
DS - Timer stops on ground or while in chase.
Adrenaline - Speed boost only triggers the next time you start sprinting.
Dead Hard - Can be used while healthy for double exhaustion. Good against one shot killers.
OoO - (Nope, I hate this perk, not even gonna bother.)
Sprint Burst - If you vault a window in the speed boost, vault speed is also increased by 50%.
Spine Chill - Perk gets brighter the closer the killer is.
-
Why would I not run a perk because it's strong, that just sounds counterproductive.
-
Yes, it only works well if the other survivors aren't very good at pressuring the killer so the killer can pressure the survivor on the timer.
-
A perk that rewards you for not going after the obsession but you have to keep the obsession away from gens for it to have any effect... it needs more than the 33% removed to be good.
-
I always run DS, sometimes run Unbreakable. I have no problems with it when I play killer, yes it is a broken combo but that's not the survivors fault and it doesn't mean people should stop using these until devs finally decide to address it.

The SWF people are punishing the killer for playing because they(SWF) are going to outperform solo survivors. So it is always alright to punish the killer then? No wonder this game has a killer shortage with that attitude.
@MeatBycicle said:

its only okay to punish Killer. Got it.
Instead of punishing people for playing with their friends, maybe buff solo survivor and killers to match them? And maybe learn to look at things in a constructive way rather than the destructive "nerf this and that" way or just leave the game balance suggestions to people who actually consider other peoples fun too.
-
Unbreakable or WGLF should work nicely. Also yes, if you want to work around slugging yourself you have to use Unbreakable, else you will have to depend on your team.
-
If anyone faces a hacker they should record them and send it to DbD Support on top of making an in-game report. If you provide evidence they are much more likely to get banned, otherwise it's a case of how many people are reporting them.
-
You can't use his ability on most loops and it's fairly easy to dodge. He also has many collision bugs and his famous height is a big problem for him. If all the bugs were fixed I would say he has potential to be tournament worthy but right now he is waay to map dependent.
-
Let's not punish people for playing together, shall we?
-
Record and report in DbD Support
-
Let's first fix the countless bugs surrounding him and then think about balancing him. He can't see anything in grass or corn and he can't collide with half the objects in the Swamp, Ormond and Autohaven. Please lets fix him before anything else.
-
Spine Chill will still be better since most of the time you know where the killer is around already, but you don't know what he is doing. Spine Chill tells me when he is coming towards me and when I should run, something Premonition doesn't.
Also put these kinds of threads in Feedback and Suggestion rather than General Discussion.
-
To be honest map pressure is much more valuable than any regression, and regression is only really valuable if you have map pressure. Pop can be gained back in like 10 seconds by 2 survivors, Ruin can only regress the gens you can pressure etc.
I only use regression perks on killers that have very good pressure already like Spirit and Freddy. On my Pig and Blight I use Corrupt for extra pressure at start and kind of a passive regression effect since it prevents 3 gens from popping in my first chase, and I use chase and info perks to help keep up my pressure.
-
Also you shouldn't have given the key to Kate, you should just leave it next to the Hatch if you suspect you may go down.
-

Mediocre combo. Majority of games you'll have wasted 2 perk slots for nothing.
Not majority of games. Devour Hope just needs to last 3 hooks to be worth a slot and 5-6 hooks to basically give you a win most of the time and you can see how long Ruin lasts with Undying these days. It has a potential to be a strong combo, we will have to wait and see.
-
Billy needs many changes to be honest, this sounds like a good one. You should put suggestions in Feedback rather than General Discussion if you want devs to see it.
-
Fyi, I think it still works in a few maps. I have kept the challenge on for a couple of games and a few of the basement hooks registered. I would say leave it until it gets fixed or until you have no other challenge.
-
Since the flickering lights or their long pole don't work inside, all I have been able to rely on is judging distance. If there is a generator here the closest one should be at least 2 room away so look in all the rooms matching that. Or if you don't hear any done gens in a big area of the map, they should be at least 1 undone one in there.

I mean if you farm for the stack and dont have BT, you aren't getting it because it needs to be a safe unhook
Then I will just take 2 hits for them. Easy 3 tokens!
-
When you kick a pallet (with any killer) or break it with your ability it takes 2.6 seconds for the animation to end, if you break a pallet with Compound 33 it only takes 1.5 seconds. It's actually a very good addon.
Tag is like Deathslinger's iridescent addon, it rarely gives one shots which is more fun than strong, and to be honest, that's the way I like my iridescent addons. It also combines well with the yellow addon that reduces tokens by 1 and increases their recharge speed.
-
Why not just give all killers chainsaws. I would love one on my Blight personally, drug addict running at you with a cane isn't that intimidating, but if he also had a chainsaw...
-
Perk itself is strong on paper, it allows many areas that are otherwise dead zones to be safe for survivors. The two things that ruin this perk are many maps having very few or literally no places to use it and Sprint Burst being just better in nearly every way at its job.
-
Survivor - Object of Obsession (in teams or against Freddy/Trapper), Decisive Strike (if abused)
Killer - Noed (in Solo Queue), Undying (in its current form)
-
Unless I have a really bad team, this. But If I do, doing good in the game on my own with good amount of chases and such is a win for me.
-
Well if you mean the attack itself, it's technically an M1 attack since all of them apply Sloppy. But if you mean like "M1 Killer" in a chase then no, cause that means they have no power in a chase while Nurse and Spirit use their powers constantly in chases and most Hags don't even commit to chases. Other than Ghostface and Pig, most killers are only situationally considered "M1 Killers". Like Oni before he gets his power, Billy after he heats up, Legion/Plague after the survivor is already injured, Blight in round loops etc etc.

I feel like the intent of his low camera originally was to make it so you didn't Slam something you couldn't see beforehand, but they failed to realize how troublesome a low camera actually is for seeing things, so now they have to backpedal to restore his functionality.
Also, this is being worked on, but they have to redo the animations from square one, so give them some time.
That makes sense but they messed that up too. Your camera is low enough to make seeing around difficult but not low enough to collide with low objects like many cars in Autohaven. They should have made the collision detection on the ground level from the start without messing with his camera.
-
Sadly no, it's the equivalent of a survivor waiting at an exit gate until the end of the timer to teabag the killer, both are very toxic behavior but not a reportable offense.
-
Commodious or Brown, depends on what you are planning to risk, if you go with Commodious use the yellow charges addon for maximum efficiency. Don't use it on a purple gen toolbox because you still spend charges while applying BNP and purple toolbox has too much progress per charge value.
