imagine an AVGN review on fnaf if it was like that 😭

I'll help you out here. I also came into fnaf not "getting it".
The gameplay in itself is not great. However, once you start getting into the lore of the original game that started it all...and its real world allusions and inspirations from real life events, the game just became just flat out fascinating. It started with an incredibly intriguing story element which secured its fan base and then just kept going with sequels. While the sequels effectively abandoned the real life inspiration, they started filling the game world with little mysteries to uncover that aren't obvious to answer. Effectively. It's popular not because of the gameplay, but because of the lore and mystery behind the games that the community would all come together to try to solve. Its more like a detective game than a survivor game.
This video alone probably is responsible for almost all of the fan base in the original game. Its not long and I recommend giving it a watch. Just a warning, it does go over actual real life disturbing events.
I’ve seen the lore….
And ik who matpat is with or without fnaf
And I did watch a few lore videos trying to understand this franchise before so dw

I know but why are names licensed. It makes no sense to me. They took a random name that is slightly related to the license and now they have to change it. Like why do they have to change the name of the perks when they can make it free at will?
I have no idea
They could’ve just changed some icons
But at the same time no harm done anyways
You can still call them by the names you prefer
I’ll still call it deadlock
Even tho that won’t be its name it’s still deadlock to me
-
@Langweilig said:
The names are dumb. Why didn’t they keep the old ones?
because the original perk names were related to pinhead and the hellrasier movies
-
I say they merge both skins
Like add the likeness of Luke Robert’s into dbd James
Redesign the jacket/posture thing like Make it feel like he’s actually wearing an M65
or try their best to replicate what he actually looked like in 2001 -
James Sunderland just got a new voice actor that isn’t a lunatic so I say now is the best time to give James voicelines while also making it feel serviceable for SH fans in dbd
-
the dad of the century deserves to be a survivor in dbd

Outlast.
So many Antagonists to pick from, Chris Walker,The Walrider, Marta, Leland Coyle, Mother Gooseberry, Franco Barbi, Skinnernan. Good candidates for a Killer addition and Legendary Cosmetic option's.Outside of the 2 more sci-fi/paranormal types from that list, i have no idea how a power adaption would work for most of them, but Behavior have managed it for so many other's so i don't doubt it can be done.
Heck, they could be a new Killer with a general power and all of them are Cosmetic Option's for them.
Rick Trager is the perfect pick for me if an outlast chapter ever happens
-
I can only dream of seeing them in dbd 😔

give me Sam and Dean Winchester

All he has is the potd attack and that's it. It's clunky and he gets countered by Hold W hard. So he needs to fall back on his tunelling aspect which is just awful design and needs to be replaced.
then the devs should buff/adjust his POTD
not rework him
And another important factor is that the clunky aspect of his POTD isn’t even as bad as people bring it out to be once you understand how to play himWe don’t need to rework him
-
@OrangeBear said:
Hard to make add-ons for tunnel head. Kinda needs a rework tbh
I disagree
There’s many other elements in his kit outside of the tunneling aspect
He doesn’t need any reworks

I would be much happier if the mangled nerfs were reverted too, tbh.
But, I doubt BHVR will revert it anytime soon, so I used the cards I was dealt.
they should atleast buff GOP
Out of all the anti healing perks in dbd
This one got the hardest nerf of all due to that the main element of the perk (16% penalty) can be easily avoidable with 99 healing
-
gift of pain should be reverted or have perma hemorrhage
The hemorrhage was what made that perk strong in the first place
-
just bring back the blue tint

Nice idea!
I am a bit hesitant, since Vigil is already good enough. It would depend on the numbers, but most people would still run Vigil over a boon because it's completely passive and covers more status effects.
what if we make dark theory 50% faster and make it stack with vigil
And if the combo doesn’t end up being problematic then it’ll be good
But if it does then I guess remove the synergy
-
rework it
And instead make it like the perk vigil
So whenever survivors step into the booms range they recover from exhaustion or any other status effect faster

Pyramid is not a weak Killer. He's probably in top 15. No what I'm saying is he definitely needs an addon pass and honestly that's all he probably needs.
But his Torment is unremovable unless you get caged or rescue from cage. There could be another way Survivors remove it but there could be other ways he applies it to such as with his special attack that they had in that one PTB. You are able to remove other Killer effects/abilities such as Plague sickness or Onryō condemn.
the best way to remove torment when playing vs pyramid head is to NOT step on his trails
Getting your perks denied? Yeah that’s on you
-
>you stepped on his trails
>you should face the consequences of it
And also
>hold crouch to avoid getting tormented on his trails
-
more pyramid head
Less huntress
Huntress is fun to vs but when you see her way too many times it just drives you insane
-
a little endurance off cages is the only justifiable change he needs and that’s because survivors shouldn’t be denied a second chase
We don’t need to gut a killer that is barely played by nerfing the one thing that considers him strong
If you wanna use your second chance perks
Maybe just don’t step on his trails lol
-
JAMES SUNDERLAND
DECISIVE STRIKE: he decisively likes doing pillow fights
BALANCED LANDING: He jumps through dark deep halls yet maintains his balance (sometimes)
NO MITHER: in water isn’t cannon but the pre-silent hill 2 lore was building up to it and one of the conditions to that ending is to stay injured 60% of the game
EMPATHY: he is a very sympathetic person, even if he’s known for doing a terrible thing you literally can’t say that he isn’t redeemable because he’s very redeemable as a character and he’s empathetic towards others in game
-
it’s funny to use
Survivors rarely expect it
It’s more fun with a build like starstruck + agi or the backpack build in general
-
liminal space styled maps
Maps that resemble hell
Red filters
More red filters
insert the other world from silent hill
Maybe a few maps that have a slight resemblance of old maps in dbd

I am beyond myself with gratitude. 💐💐💐
Sincerely, I love horror. I love this game. And I love this community. I’ve always found a home in the horror genre- I’m sure many of us can relate. For one reason or another we are all here enjoying this game together.
@TheSingularity (pre and post 😊)
@C3Tooth We all miss you
@CountOfTheFog 😊😄💐
@Shroompy 😊😄💐
+ Everyone else I didn’t list!!! 💐💐💐
I’m a huge fan of being the change you want to see. The above people have demonstrated a willingness to be that change while remaining their authentic selves. I see Dbd reflected in every single person listed and on this forum. These people will give you the best that they have to offer. Why not match that passion and be the change you want the dbd community to become? Why not? It can happen. They can help you get there.
I wanted to thank @For_The_People for being the first person from the forums that I’ve ever played Dbd with. He is a very sweet person who will give you his time of day in earnest if you need him to. He’s one of the prime examples of politeness in this community. Thank you for being a positive force in the community. 😊😊😊
Lastly I need to thank @solarjin1 . What can I say? When you meet a friend that gets you, you both just know it. Her courage to be funny and humorous is so infectious. She told me that the small pallet in rpd was the most op pallet. I was so naive of game knowledge that I believed her! LMAO! After that I realized that it was anything goes when it came to humor with her. I’m at my best when I can be silly. Solarjin1 is that friend who brings out the best in me. Thank you Solarjin1 for all the laughs and for the laughs to come 😂 I’m going to be collecting🤣🤣🤣
None of this would be possible if we didn’t have a phenomenal community team here to support us discussing this twisted hobby we all have. Thank you again to everyone at Bhvr for putting your hearts and souls (ha!) into everything that is Dbd.
They say you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar…
Let’s just use blood instead 🩸😈🩸
Happy Holidays everyone, I hope everyone stays safe and has a wonderful New Years 😊🎉
oh my god I haven’t even been active on the forums in ages but thank you so much for including me on this list

Watch out for the extra endings they put in!
I already just did about a day ago
Not triggering any ending until I do it in my own preferred order
(Rebirth ending run rn)

That's such a nice addition, Born From A Wish. It was an unexpected DLC to Silent Hill 2, which made Maria's story even sadder. To James, she was simply conjured as a delusion to him, but she was a fully-aware individual, a little like Lisa Garland from the first. Both were products of the town, used for pawns, and whilst Lisa as alive before the events, both were sentient and unaware of what they were. Imagine the trauma of that!
I may not have explained it clearly, but hopefully you get the jist. Anyway, I've been watching CJUgames playthrough overtime, and just seen where James survives the first boss, Pyramid Head. Blooper have done such an amazing job; that trip through the apartments was absolutely smack on the atmosphere, and so well done!
I played born from a wish in OG SH2
There’s also a subtle reference to it in the remake
At first glance it seemed like a teaser but new game+ says otherwise
and I wouldn’t call the OG born from a wish a DLC….atleast not until the actual dlc comes out it was more of a directors cut content for the game
And dw I’ve played the OG trilogy so I already know most of silent hill and the lore regarding Lisa and Maria being manifestations and how Lisa wasn’t aware of being dead
I’ve went through this before
And nice I’ve rarely watched any let’s plays besides like a few and right now I wanna get the game achievements to 100% and then I will view all content online
So far I got 3 endings which are the default ones from the OG and now I’m doing a rebirth ending run

That's the gutting thing about this. As it seems you already know, Playstation have an exclusivity package in place, that no other console can access this for up to a year. That means the 8th October 2025 is currently the earliest it will come to Xbox. It's quite disappointing, and I'm not likely to buy a Playstation just for the game.
At least I have the original and Born From A Wish. Just wish I could have my favourite franchise's latest entry sooner. "Patience is a virtue", apparently! :D
Yeah it rlly sucks how Konami is with porting its game on certain consoles
I already heard bloober demanded them for a PC release for the remake
And also nice! I also got Born from a wish on my copy of OG SH2 on pc!
-
@Marc_go_solo said:
Let's hope it's not going to be long!

And from what it seems they might be looking forward to bigger things and maybe an Xbox release could be sooner or maybe until October 2025 (probably)

I'm not so worried about spoilers, since I played the original a few times in the past. It's nice seeing some of the new ideas (the Abstract Daddy fight is pure art, and a lesson in storytelling within a single fight), and possible hints that James is in a spiral. It's a little like Silent Hill is an eternal or at least long-winding purgatory, but that's one interpretation of many, and I hope they don't confirm any concrete lore because mystery is what makes this game best. People don't need the full picture.
ahh well so did I play the OG and I won’t deny experiencing the remake for the first time without spoilers as an OG player was still one of the greatest experiences for me and yeah I love the new direction the devs went in with the new several ideas and let alone masahiro Ito also fulfilled some ideas in the remake he couldn’t do in the original (ex: BH nurses heads popping fluid I’ve you’ve seen it)
Ans regarding the mystery parts of SH2 well they did confirm nothing but they added more stuff into the mystery element and you’ll find several of it when you hopefully get to play it (when it releases to Xbox hopefully)

I'm quite saddened to report Xbox players won't be getting this until 2025, but I have watched some videos about it, and it has to be something of a complete surprise to everyone how Blooper managed to pull this off so well! I'm hoping they use this experience to make some cracking games in future, both original and other Silent Hill remakes, because they've appeared to have proven themselves beyond any doubt.
I especially liked the attention to detail, the rather brilliant coding to make the blood trails the Lying Figures produced when they squirm along the floor, the extra exploration, but mostly the boss fights and how they've changed them to make them a new experience. My only niggle is that I'm not sure about Flesh Lips being made into a crawling thing, but fair play for them to make them far more of a challenge than the moving target practice the original was.
The unexpected extra boss fight also looks like a fun way of tributing something which was kinda swept under the floor in the last one. ;)
yeah I‘ve already heard of that
I don’t even think Konami were planning a PC release either apparently bloober team demanded a PC release
Hopefully there’ll be one sooner if the game does great with sales
Honestly I loved everything bloober contributed and added to the game. The remake is perfect as it succeeded and doing multiple things at once. And as someone who hated layers of fear and pretty much despised bloober for the abomination that was the medium. Honestly good job of them for gaining redemption with SH2 remake
They did a really good job with a lot of the enemy designs and interactions it’s almost perfect
And regarding the flesh lips personally I think for a remake and OTS gameplay…the new take on the flesh lips is great cause in the OG is relied more on claustrophobia and camera angles combo’d with the low health that they have (that not many people know about)
And yes I love what they did with the mandarins in the remake many monsters pretty much had a glow up and became quiet the threat
also good luck avoiding spoilers for the game…it was already quiet the experience for mehopefully the Xbox port will be out soon enough
I finished it twice and I cried several times out of nostalgia
-
pyramid head
-
I’ve always been a silent hill fan
I’ve mostly played the first trilogy and a few of the late 2000s games which weren’t that good
I mostly main James and Lisa
Lisa is basically the one character in silent hill 1 that stuck with me the most mostly because of how the interactions you go with happen but most importantly it’s that one scene where she dies infront of harry
Meanwhile James….well silent hill 2 has been my childhood and I’ve played this game since I was young so it meant a lot to me
Especially with a character like James he’s very well written (and became even more well written in the recent remake)
-
ruin
-
I’d rework both of pyramid heads iris and change them as a whole even art design wise
But for now I’ll just make it this
Iri seal of metatron
Any pallets and breakable walls hit by punishment of the damned instantly break
Obsidian goblet
Increases range of punishment of the damned by 20 meters
Increases time to charge rights of judgment by 2 seconds
Sending out a punishment of the damned consumes 50% of rites of judgment
Setting up trails consumes rights of judgment 5% faster
-
I think it’s a normal thing to see legendary survivors rarely in lobbies
As someone who mains a few of them myself

just don’t step on his trails
He’s also denied from using hook perks
No pop, no grim, no slowdown
If anything the meta doesn’t even favor him as a killer with how all best gen slowdowns are hook perks only
-
@Dreamnomad said:
I simply disagree. Words matter. A cage is not a hook. There isn't even a balance issue here. When players are caged, they are caged about as far away from the killer as possible. That means survivors should easily be able to rescue the player. Also, survivors have built in counter play by simply avoiding running across trails. It's not like Pyramid Head is a new killer or that he has an inflated kill rate. Why is this an issue now?
