I've been using DMS / PR / Pentimento / Plaything - If they're not on gens, then they're on totems. and with the recent CoH changes, more and more people are cleansing. DMS and Pentimento's 30% slow must be so frustrating XD
-
Smite is just the better option when it comes to obtaining licences tbh. In recent months they've had Avatar,TMNT, Stranger Things, Slipknot, Transformers, and i'm sure there's more on the way. Whereas this game is pretty limited with skins, let alone if they can hold the licence.
-
Definitely needs changes with him around.
Manifesting needs to add condemned progress to those that witness it, on a 30 second cooldown.
More speed boost bonus after projecting
Condemned adds exposed
De-manifested offering some kind of anti-loop being able to walk through dropped pallets or something.
-
Survivor - I'd say Dead Hard to bring it in line with other exhaustion perks.
Killer - Doesn't really have a strong meta but i guess Ruin and Pop's requirements or regression can be looked at. While not Meta, NOED is more troublesome and more deserving of changes.

Dredge doesn't get the option to remove someone from the game by teleporting to a locker next to them hello?
Condemned is not a threat unless you're careless or clueless.

If I had to guess a Resident Evil character as the new killer, it'd be Lady Dimitrescu. The internet went nuts for her (before the game even released), she has a distinctive look and personality that doesn't really overlap with any existing killer, and she got relatively underused in the game where she appeared.
Well it could always be a first to introduce 2 killer's at the same time, like how they did Leon and Jill as survivors. Both unique in their own right, unlike Wesker who doesn't really bring anything new with his speed power.
-
Meh, rather have Heisenberg.
-
Also misleading where it says can be found where totems are, but most are several meters away.
-
What i would do as a former Twins main:
1 - Revert Victor's successful pounce downs to 3 seconds, switching is now instant, Charlotte can't swing for 1.5 seconds after switching.
2 - Charlotte can now Launch Victor as a projectile up to 15m, If hit, Victor mounts a healthy survivor as usual or downs an injured survivor, if he misses, control instantly switches to Victor. Victor applies Mangled when attached from 10m or more while using this ability.
3 - Victor now shrieks after downing a survivor, granting Charlotte a 5% Haste effect upon switching and ending when reaching the shriek location. Haste effect is lost if you hit or start a chase with another survivor.
4 - Charlotte gains a passive whenever Victor is kicked by a Survivor, Kicked once her basic attacks now apply Deep Wounds, Kicked Twice she gains Killer instinct whilst she's idol, Kicked 5 times, upon waking up and a survivor is within her terror radius, they will be exposed for 15 seconds. This is somewhat an effort to make Charlotte more of a threat when you take away her power and fits with her theme of being Victor's protector.
5 - If a survivor holds onto Victor for more than 30 seconds, other survivors within Victor's detection range become exposed until he's crushed.
6 - Victor can now snuff totems.
7 - If a survivor is hooked within Victor's presence while he is idol, Victor dies and returns to Charlotte.
New Addons for Charlotte's projectile:
1 - Applies mangled regardless of range
2 - Victor applied this way now causes other survivors to scream within 16m if they witness it.
3 - Activates Charlotte's passive on successful projectile hit, Passive is no longer gained from Victor being kicked.
Victor addons:
Victor can now damage gens and benefits from gen perks such as surge and call of brine.
Trapping a survivor inside a locker lasts 10 seconds longer.
Victor is completely silent until he charges his pounce.
-
Depends if the pallet blocks pathways or doorways for me, Game map or Doctor's map for example or pallets that extend loops majorly like on Red Forest. Usually play Artist , Pyramid head and Blight so they're not much of an issue other than that. But i'll break other pallets if not in a chase and have the time to earn extra points.
-
I feel his build repertoire has opened up significantly over the past year with valid options when it comes to perks, there's two builds i like to use with him.
I'm all Ears / Pop / Call of Brine / Floods of rage - Depending on scourge hook locations of course but people don't expect floods of rage in comparison to bbq. Pop and i'm all ears for obvious reasons, Call of brine is fantastic, tells you if someone is there and pretty good regression.
Agitation / Pain Resonance / Ruin or Plaything / Pentimento - Has worked pretty well for me, first two perks combo well and pretty much guarantee it unless you get screwed by scourge hook locations, With ruin or plaything they will put in work before they get broken, which you want anyway to take advantage of Pentimento. I would opt for plaything though, more chances of applying 1 stack of pentimento, plus oblivious. Ruin if you favour regression and prey it doesn't get broken before you get value from it.
-
I favour two builds:
1 - Pain resonance , Dead man's Switch, Pentimento , plaything. - First two perks are obvious, pentimento and plaything go hand in hand, if they can't do gen's they will do totems, even more so with coh change inbound, so add 30% gen speed slowdown on top of an already annoying combo.
2 - Call of Brine, Flood of Rage / BBQ/I'm all ears, Eruption, Discordance - An i see all kinda build, Brine for regression and knowledge if someone is on a gen, FoR for aura's, Eruption for incapacitating and regression, also works with your crows unlike surge. Discordance to pair with severed hands and info.
-
it shouldn't make Victor vulnerable for a kick at least, other killers have an easier time baiting it, but imo it should only do one thing and that's iframes from a normal m1 attack.
-
Twins, especially with all the changes lol. Sometimes Artist hitting those cross map snipes before they repel.
-
Artist and Pyramidhead console main here haha, i do fine in majority of my matches, still get spun a little bit though sometimes.

"Hitting up to four gens at once is really powerful!"
It in fact is not. Base regression speed is near worthless. Even at 45 sec cd no one would run the perk.
Does call of brine not affect gen's kicked with oppression?
-
Not if it's another racoon police department layout.
-
blight on hawkins was a nightmare for me, but that's now the game map.
-
I love her tbh, no one else's opinion matters. People complain about sound effects, but imo spirit is the worst offender in that regard.

P2W perk.
Stacking is what really is unhealthy and unfun. Ruin, Deadlock, and NOED to secure the ending 4K. It is an unhealthy advantage.
Prove thyself, brand new parts, spine chill, and resilience is not? Not even gonna mention the stacked meta perks that go along with that.
-
I'd say no, as you'll mostly only see the weapon anyway. My Artist has every killer perk, so i'm not willing to sit through another grind to get back to that point, even if anniversary cakes are on the horizon.
Survivor though, that depends as you see every detail.
-
I find her kit very good and has everything you need to perform well with her, and compliments well with a lot of perks for a variety of builds.
I personally use Dead man's switch, pain resonance , pentimento and plaything and it serves me well, the use of aura perks is a bit redundant i find with how swarmed survivors show you their location anyway after the initial hit, you just need a bit of game sense and pinpoint what gen's they will be working on. Compared to other killer's there's a bit of a learning curve and obviously a skill ceiling when it comes to snipes cross map, but don't let that put you off, she's a power house.
A lot of killer play styles are subjective to opinion, but if you like a killer that can harass, damage from afar, have info pretty much constantly and great zoning, she's the one.
Here's a random match i had a few weeks back, if you were interested:
https://youtu.be/e65dipG72gk -
Artist: Swarmed survivors who disturb crows add 2-3 seconds to the repel time.
Pyramid Head: His POTD should work with vertical terrain and stairs.
Twins: Victor can now snuff totems, revert cooldowns to how they were on release.
-
Huntress on console is still a challenge for me, think because of a lack of cross hair or projectile line indicator, whereas on the contrast, Artist is my best performing and favourite killer currently, can snipe crossmap when stars align and regularly hit dire crows after swarm takes effect, it's a weird scenario haha. Pretty sure huntress has a bigger hitbox on the hatchets.
-
Pentimento, even 1 stack get's you major value in the long run, especially paired with Plaything. Even more so once CoH changes come in and less people will run it and more will move to inner Strength.

"Waste of money" but two of them are free and you can unlock spirit with shards.........
Been so long i forgot Huntress was a free dlc for some reason. Believe i started playing on pc when the initial plan was 3 paid dlc's a year and one free one before the store was introduced. Probably explains why console price for dbd is much higher than pc which includes those specific dlc's once i moved there.
-
Forgot Sadako, in Bought for perks tier.
-
For Artist she's fine kit wise, some add-ons are kinda meh though, especially the iridescents which i would change to have an effect like this:
1 - A swarmed survivor's repel action is reset when disturbing a crow, The artists' birds of torment cooldowns are reset if on cooldown.
2 - Swarmed survivors aura's are visible regardless of repelling action, locker's are no longer intractable while swarmed.
I do miss her crow bombs though.
-
Occasionally this will happen, my last occurrence was on the mother's dwelling map while playing Artist. 3-4 gens left to do and 3 survivors left, 1 on death hook. The one on death hook was the only one attempting gens, so i left her be and tried to find the other 2 who were sitting in lockers in the basement occasionally moving between them. The death hook survivor teamed up with me to help find them because this match was going on past 25m mark. They were caught and hooked and i let the other go as a thank you.
-
Can someone take a screenshot of killer's difficulty ratings?
-
@Valik said:
She's very unfun because players figured out how to counter her in a week or so.
By the way, the counter is 'Hold W'.
Go into a gym or a loop - begin the loop until you see her place down crows.
Lose sight of the killer
Run to the next loop.
Rinse repeat.
She's strong, but this isn't FUN.
In all reality, very few killers are FUN in this meta. They really need to take another look at where the game is and where they want it to be if they want C list killers like Artist to have any screen time.
She is not C tier , actually ranks very high in a lot of people's tier lists.
-
She's my go to killer, then again i love the crow theme, visuals and overall play style. Most seem to forget that she's not all about cross map snipes, her kit can be divided into map wide information, harassment, loop denial and potential 1v4 which not a lot of killer's can do. Sure you can hold W against her as the best tactic, but every killer faces that anyway these days with pre drops and people who camp pallets, rinse and repeat.
-
Think they should remove her killer instinct addons tbh, more of a hindrance than a help. Perhaps replace it with additional swarm add-ons, such as disturbing a crow increases the repel timer by 1 or 2 seconds while swarmed.
-
There's a lot of issues with the perk and how it interacts with and can change the outcome of the match when you've made no mistakes on the killer's end. The biggest issue i have with it is how it negates certain killer's powers with validation and providing massive setback, Victor pouncing and then being kicked for free is the biggest offender, now x's that by 4 and you can see the issue. Then you've got the distance extender to reach windows and pallets which creates a whole other issue on top of that. combine it with the other 2nd chance perks x's 4 and you've lost before you've even made a dent.
-
I'm actually hoping less people use it and start using inner strength more, already get a fair amount of use out of pentimento with plaything, more can't hurt. 😉
-
If anything elevation issues need to be looked at on map terrain, other than that, she's fine kit wise.
-
@Sluzzy said:
If it spawned 2 pallets, I don't see that as an issue because the map now joins the ranks of Autohavens for having large deadzones, especially in the middle of the maps. Of course I will have to play on it myself to know for sure but I think this map is now tilted in favor of killers. If you are not in a house, there is no stealth and there is not many pallets in the middle areas. The houses appear unsafe as well.
The map looks pretty but it will now be unfun to play on.
Because it was fun to play on before... *Roll eyes*
-
I think more people would enjoy them if they were a proper 'Tag team' play style, instead of it being 90% Victor. Think on the lines of Ferra/Torr for example and how they function.

congratulations on bumping the thread and inviting even more people to trash on artist
Likewise.
-
Should see it when you snuff it in my opinion.
-
And the slandering starts again... everything is subjective but you see these type of threads with comments on a daily basis. It's like a community have banded together to drive her deeper into obscurity, everyone has different tastes, people need to learn to accept that. Just because you don't like a certain killer (whether that be how they play or how they sound or look), doesn't mean everyone has the same view or feels the same way.
-
Kinda hope they improve sadako's addons, cause they all seem incredibly useless and niche in every shape and form for a new killer in this day and age.
-
I would go with Artist personally, out of your list, she is the most deadly at any range if you play her well whilst also providing the most information and build flexibility with her kit.
For me though, Spirit attacking / stunned sound effects annoy me to no end, but she's decent i guess, that's why you see AI bots controlling her lately.
Twins i wouldn't bother with, that's with someone who mained them before Artist, the nerfs, adjustments, clunky and the addition of boons hurt her massively, though that might change in the upcoming patch, but i would wait until she get's her changes in a future patch.
Can't speak for the rest as i haven't touched them.
-
Bit subjective aint it? Saying they're not fun to play. I main Artist and dabble in Twins often and have not grown tired of them in the slightest, whereas with the newest killer i'm already getting frustrated because her power does not help her in the slightest apart from map traversal, and people want more M1 killer's like this who pose no threat and are easily looped to eternity? Sounds like the opposite of fun.
-
I love Pentimento and plaything on my Artist, oblivious or suffer gen slow down.
Make your choice is resurfacing for me again while playing sadako , people don't expect it for some reason on her.

a question about severed hands i guess. do the survivor have to be 3 meters near the survivor anytime they have a swarm. or just when they get swarmed
Anytime. I have had cases of multiple people swarmed, a survivor clears the swarm, crosses paths with another survivor who is swarmed and it gets reapplied again. It's very handy, pardon the pun. A few examples in this video.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e65dipG72gk -
I find it good paired with severed hands, most people don't pay attention sitting on gens, so with 0.5 seconds they won't notice the placement, even in chases.
-
Artist main with a side helping of Onryo currently.
-
I kinda wish they'd go down the Alien / Predator route.
-
Was warranted, brings it in line with other healing perks that are not team oriented. Encourages more people to use inner healing too now, which is still a good perk.
