Severed Hands proccing on all 4 survivors at once is music to my ears, great way to instill panic mode haha. Bird's nest is a good secondary in my eye's, if you're spot on with your dire crows, it will go up in value for me once the dead hard change comes next patch and not to be reliant on O Grief, O lover addon for exhaustion as much.
-
With this change, you're just gonna be seeing more and more of perks like Pentimento, Thana / Gift of pain stacking or Gen block stacking perks because they took away the only reliable regression perk worth having going forward.

artist works the best with dead mans switch
While that's true currently, in the upcoming patch probably less so with the Pain Res change, and by the time she's swarmed and chased someone off a gen, you'd be lucky to block more than 1 for 30 seconds. Still good though but i'd probably opt for Overcharge and Eruption instead myself. Maybe throw in Agitation and Gift of pain or Pentimento and Plaything for additional slow down that works with it.
-
She is my First proper Main since she came out from December i believe, Love her to bits with the Theme, Playstyle and Kit. And i'm so stoked she got chosen for a cool upcoming community skin. I find it refreshing not being restricted to M1's, That i can be equally deadly at mid to long range and close range scenarios, while also having the ability to chase and injure multiple survivors simultaneously. As a former Twins player, i regret nothing. XD
The masquerade mask really is a game changer for her right now too XD
-
ahhhh it's good to be an Artist main. XD

I feel like Deadlock is by far the best perk in the game for Pig, no? Yea you want a gen to get done (typically right after your first down+party hat) but if two get done back to back you lose out on one of your five "activation switches" (a gen getting done = a hat activation switch). I really want to use STBFL on her, but forcing ambush hits on a semi-competent Obsession that knows ######### you're doing often doesn't work too well in reality, plus no jolt proc if downed w/ ambush hit anyway.

I think DMS is the best perk in the game for The Artist, since right after a hook you can just send birds to 3 different gens and force survivors off since they will have to repel birds. Instantly blocked for 40-43 seconds, she really does not need Pain Resonance to capitalize off it w/ her cross map snipes. Thrilling Tremors tells you exactly what gen they are on too, even if its within 40m, unlike BBQ.
Trouble with that is you can only keep it going for so long, no regression meaning that they'll eventually power through it. And anyone that's smart enough knows that if she sends out 3 birds in 3 directions, that buys you time before she can snipe you with a follow up bird once you're swarmed. All the while when that's going on, you wont get the full 45 second block duration. 30 seconds if you're lucky if you do the above. Pain ress was only good for her because you got the full 45 second block and the 15% regression on top.
-
As an Artist main, my current build was DMS / Pain Ress / Agitation / Deadlock, But with the upcoming changes i will no longer run these perks as they no longer go hand in hand in my opinion.
Come patch day i'll be switching to Eruption / Overcharge or Brine / Plaything and Pentimento. - Theory being downing anyone while eruption is active and someone is on the gen will act like DMS for that person but still regress until someone else taps it for 25 seconds. Overcharge still has the skillcheck afaik with the new regression, Brine feels like it would go better with eruption though. Plaything and Pentimento for the slowdowns, with mangled addon and severed hands, to possibly prevent the off the record play if they try and heal under hook.
As Dredge, i would opt for Make your choice / Dragon's Grip / Overcharge / Some aura perk. Absolutely best user of exposed perks in my opinion, and will make up for the upcoming bodyblock meta.
-
I think a Miranda inspired skin for Artist would be cool, come the second installment of a resident evil patch.
-
Made the right decision not to prestige my Artist, Dredge and Jonah. Have every worthy / useful perk maxed, cakes out the wazoo and hoarding addons i like.
-
I just did all the dredge challenges and the bottom tier level challenges, not fussed about finishing the community challenge for haddies mask.
But the challenge that requires you to finish a gen or get a hook then claim an invitation within 60 seconds was a ballache, took me 9 matches and a lot of map offerings to get it. The amount of people claiming it before you do the gen or beating you to it or killer downing / killing you before you reach it. One of the worst thought out challenges tbh.
-
I love him, doesn't feel too weak or too strong with plenty of counterplay. There's a lot of builds you can use with him, For instance i capitalize on his mobility to make use of Make your choice and Dragon's Grip, with Pop and Call of Brine. I will say he can be map dependent on where locker's and gens spawn and some tiles, but that's nothing new with most killers.
-
I'll say he got a slight buff this upcoming chapter, with the new overcharge still needing a survivor to hit the skillcheck and with the ramp up regression if you can keep them in tier 3 madness for long periods of time preventing them from interacting with it until they snap out of madness 3. Deadman's switch did not get touched also, so that's still good for the doctor with massive TR with addons. As for pallets, you might like Bloodfavour or Spirit Fury If you're finding the movement slow down annoying while trying to shock at pallets. Usually it's not so bad at window vaults but yeah some pallet loops are a bit iffy.
-
Could be worse. Add Pentimento and PinHeads buffed scourge hook perk which i forget the name of.
-
it's an extra 2%? Don't think that would make a drastic difference.

But isn't a survivor, who is running around for 80s and trying to get your attention with a flashlight, while staying away from gens and healing others, some strong asset? Yeah, I always hated bodyblocking, but it happened regardless of my distaste for it, soooo...
Not if it's reusable and used by all survivors. 2 on Gens, 1 in chase, unhooked extending that chase further, with additional extension from exhaustion perks. See the problem? At least BT was only like 15 seconds.
-
Does Basekit Borrowed Time and the new Off the Record stack? And does the Mending status prevent future endurance application while afflicted by Mending?
-
@StarLost said:
Yeah, OTR is probably going to need a look before it goes live.
They changed DS because it's frustrating to have an invulnerable survivor teabagging you from the exit gates. Then they made the exact same problem, but worse.
Yeah i don't understand the logic behind it when they gave that reason for DS. Better off with no Scratch marks , Noise and No aura reveal for 80 seconds in my opinion.
-
Off the Record / Prove thy Self / Decisive Strike / Deadhard or COH - I assume most will run these for new second chance meta.
-
Think Thrilling Tremors could use a small buff on the cooldown front.
Jolt proccing from abilities as well as M1's.
-
Guess there won't be, you'll just have to assume. You can pretty much guess if they keep looking behind them when you're literally on their ass.
-
Overcharge with Dragon's grip could be interesting, to try and force the 30's buildup. Gives you a trade-off at least.
-
Jolt proccing from abilities, not sure if they changed that or not from reading the text in the notes.
-
Well...i know i'll be using Overcharge / Dragon's Grip. Both 30 second duration on the Gen. XD
-
I take it Jolt now activates from non m1's now?
Guess i can replace Pain resonance and Agitation on my Artist now, for Thrilling Tremors and Overcharge XD
-
Depends what they do, Extending chases by using the distance into loops is the main problem, not the invincibility. Perhaps give it the same treatment as a doctor's shock, keep it as it is but can't interact or vault for 1.5/ 2 seconds after using Dead Hard.
-
If you have a smart tv, you can adjust a picture mode to have more brightness. But yeah, should be made an option in game.
-
I'm rocking mine, though tbh it's her only good headpiece XD

I've been trying Hag. Slinger...does that work?
I don't know tbh, i don't play them. But Slinger is technically stunned gamewise. Could maybe try hag's body block addon, down someone, trap all exit points and let them wiggle free. You'd still throw the game but you'd probably get it done on RPD or game map.
-
Yeah it's the above, i've completed the personal contribution and no reward, so you gotta wait. Managed to get the other Dredge challenge quite fast in comparison, so probably more worthwhile focusing on the bottom half of challenges after the contribution.
-
You might be able to do it quite easy as deathslinger purposely breaking the chain and then M1. And maybe hag on an indoor map.
-
She recently got a skin around about the same time the spring ensemble skins released which is not too bad, but i'd like a few new varieties in a future rift. She's also getting a very good headpiece this anniversary masquerade event with a few other characters. A skin inspired by Resident evil village Mother Miranda would be cool.
-
I've been having a lot of success with Dragon's grip / Pop / Call of brine / Corrupt with Field recorder and worry stone addons. Seeing as survivors spawn near corrupt, can pretty much guarantee i'll run into someone within the first 15-20 seconds and worry stone will point them out too. The amount of times i've gotten value out of dragon's grip is ridiculous with his teleports. Probably on par with make your choice but i don't have that in the bloodweb yet.
-
How long does the event last for?
-
There's two combo's that I'm a big fan of, Pentimento paired with Plaything and Counterforce with Inner Healing.
-
I find him super fun, the only issue i have is sometimes scratch marks are hard to see in Nightfall, I've had a few cases of a survivor getting away after being hit and overcome kicking in on indoor maps like lerys.
-
I think outside the main house it's fine, The house on the lower level with the window by the group of lockers just outside it is near impossible to deal with, pretty much the same for the upstairs window, but at least you have fall stagger there which you'll eventually catch up i guess.
-
The way i see it, she has no form of anti-loop, no real chase power, A lullaby that works against her, RNG mobility that can be denied if a survivor takes a tape, Condemned is 90% useless and no real threat to anyone that's paying attention. Only saving grace is her perks are ok. To me, she is the worst killer. Dredge on the other hand is the complete opposite, An Low A tier killer in my mind.
-
Wonder if you get grabbed using deception on a locker he's in or mid teleport too.
-
I find it ok tbh, Crow map though is a bit meh on him though,

The problem I see with that build is that it can't be sustained.
There's no way you can ever keep a constant supply of those add-ons. It's hard to keep a supply of green add-ons. Great for a once in a while type of gameplay, but you just can't sustain add-on use like that. Pentimento also isn't really reliable. Plaything as well is doubling up on Dredge's natural stealth from Nightfall. If Survivors are gonna be oblivious for half of the game anyway from Nightfall, why would they want to cleanse totems to get rid of Plaything? It has potential, but not all that sustainable. Ruin is a good idea though for the total combo package in making Survivors want to cleanse at least 1 totem.
If it works it works I say! Love that Killers can actually make use of varying builds according to the player's playstyle.
But I really don't like making higher tier add-ons part of a core build mainly due to how non sustainable they are. Browns, Yellows, and Greens yea I have odds of keeping a stock of any of those for constant use. Greens might run out once in a while. But Purple and Red add-ons are just far too rare for me to consider a "build" and are just one off things to change things up.
They're pretty common in my Bloodweb at least, You don't have to rely on them though, most of his addons are very decent so just pick and choose.
Pentimento is more viable now than ever, when less people running boons and more people using inner strength, they will cleanse most anyway due to fear of NOED.
Plaything plays to his strength, he is most dangerous while undetectable in Nightfall, Outside of it you will get the jump on people a lot more, especially useful hiding his red stain when mindgaming. But the main reason i use it, is to help cover Ruin, Once they realize it's in play they will start searching for it, if anything it's prolonging Ruin once you get going. Then that goes hand in hand with Pentimento once they start cleansing plaything totems to try and find ruin.

Curious as I keep forgetting to check, with the locker perk, when dredges teleport is ready you can just walk up to and jump in a locker to start his teleport. Does just getting into the locker also trigger darkness revealed?
It does not, you need to physically open it.
@Chewy102 said:
It might just be low MMR from me not playing that often, or at all in the last several months, combined with Survivors not really understanding Dredge that well yet. But so far Dredge is working out as a reasonable hit&run Killer. Current build is
Perks
Sloppy Butcher, Thana, Pop, and Darkness Revealed
Preferred add-ons
Malthinker's Skull (66% faster natural nightfall progressing when a Survivor wounded) and Burnt Letters (25% more to the nightfall boost when hitting a Survivor).
The start of a game you instantly go to a locker and use DR for Survivor locations. Depending on the map you can either know exactly where everyone is, or where they are not. Either way gives decent early game pressure by starting that first chase that much faster. Not perfect, but DR can be used throughout the entire game and is rather good at it's job!
Sloppy and Thana explain them selves in how they combo. You hit someone, they stay wounded for longer, and gens get a minor slowdown. Almost a win win for Dredge as Survivors are gonna take longer to do most things no mater what. And Dredge can afford to spread pressure and do hit&run thanks to his map mobility. Who is aided by DR's aura reading. You know where almost anyone is at any given time and be near their location ASAP! Add that with how much longer it takes to heal and things start to add up. Plus, it isn't all that bad of a setback for committing to a chase that runs you into the middle of nothing. Hook and teleport cross map, or simply give up on that chase and teleport away towards where you need to be. Got choices.
Pop is just Pop. Combos with locker teleports well along with Thana slowdown and just does good work on it's own. Also lasts the entire game unlike some other anti gen perks.
Then comes Nightfall! Nightfall is proving to be a MONSTER of a power for hit&run. Not only does it make Dredge's map mobility insane, it forces Survivors to make more guesses, or make more mistakes on average. If they can't see you directly, they never know what you are doing. Can't tell you how many times Iv hit someone and let them get away only to be right on them again thanks to a locker teleport or be on someone else within seconds to do the exact same thing. Lastly you got how dark Nightfall is and all that does against Survivors.
There are negatives though. Starting off I lost almost every game played till I started to figure out what tiles to loop, where to mind game, and effective locker teleport pathing. Often found me playing a mind game with myself. Gotta really learn how to read the Survivor's pathing and the map layout. The last few games have been heavily in my favor though.
As said, it might just be a MMR thing with it being very low. But I swear hit&run is working on Dredge.
I run something similar, with Ruin / Plaything / Pentimento / Thana. - Same idea ofc, just more slowdown. Using Tilling blade and Field recorder.
Tilling blade is basically sloppy fyi, when hitting full health survivors in Nightfall, Field Recorder to start off in Nightfall, or use Worry stone for some Aura's to get a decent start to start the Thana / Nightfall buildup.
Ruin for regression, Plaything to apply oblivious and cover ruin somewhat. Once they start cleansing, hit them with the pentimento for 30% slower gen speed / Heal speed (Depending on how many totems are cleansed), Ideally keep one totem spot free if more than 2 are cleansed), on top on Thana which is 20% slower speed if all 4 are injured. With how mobile he is, you can easily make this build work, and take advantage.
-
I like it tbh, very good for heavy M1 killer's , even against huntress and deathslinger breaking line of sight quicker.
-
1st issue - Sometimes map terrain will offset your birds pathing, usually on swamp map. They shouldn't drift that drastically on same elevation, but they fire on the trajectory where you placed them while moving, so they may look a bit off point when fired, but the hitbox is very generous so it shouldn't matter too much.
2nd issue - There's a slight delay when firing, if they're around 8m's or so before you press it, occasionally it will swarm instead, again with placement it has to be spot on, you might clip the edge of a doorway, Window or wall while aiming at a window or vault location ect. Better to fire it midway through vault animation or to the sides of a pallet, not directly over a dropped pallet.
-
'Leftie' Because you can clearly tell he favours his left arm. 👀 Dwayne the rock Johnson muscle XD
-
I pretty much have nearly all killer perks on the killer's i play, the one's i want or are at least useful in some build or another. I don't want to keep bloating my bloodweb though with every single perk on future killer's, but i kinda want Iron maiden to pop up at some point which i might use on my Artist. Dredge i'll dump points to anyway because it's another killer i want to main alongside Artist and PyramidHead.
Survivor side i'm not too fussed, i have most decent meta perks, just missing DS but i'm not reliant on it. Usually run a non meta build anyway, so if any future fun perk pops up i might get it. Hard for me to replace Overcome / Inner Healing / Counterforce / BlastMine though, love it too much.
-
I honestly feel Dredge is better than Spirit in his current state. especially with Nightfall addons, guess we'll see once live comes about.
-
I use this most of the time:
Overcome - It's actually saved my ass a lot of times.
Blast Mine - I put this on for a blind/stun challenge once and have never taken it off, so satisfying haha.
Counterforce - Best totem locator perk i find, especially handy nowadays when NOED or Devour is around.
Inner Healing - Goes hand in hand with Counterforce for reliable heals.
-
Jonah looks more Latino here to me with this outfit.
I thought this looked cool, wish she had more options though.
My favourite PH set
Was my main before Jonah haha.
-
Guess the Victor fishing thing is leaving him in area until he procs killer instinct and then pouncing? Which is fine, i did it all the time when i mained Twins, I would have Blood Favour and and just park Victor on the game map, And mainly use charlotte utilizing the the killer instinct procs and silencing cloth. Ironically people hated that playstyle though.
I've never come across a chest defending bubba tbh, only the staring contest one's.
-
She's fun for me and that's all that matters, same satisfying feeling as hitting hatchets, but on the double. I like the prediction, i like being able to pressure multiple people at the same time, i like the sense of control. I don't get that with other killer's. But people would rather play against a Nurse who ignores all the rules or participate in a Bubba staring contest it seems.
Plus Severed hands is a really fun add-on.
