imo stop proxy camping and start putting on map pressure. You won't have that issue any more.
It's more likely survivors are unhooking in his face before he's left if it's triggering base BT or it's endgame collapse where the killer can't be blamed for being near a hook, hardly proxy camping.
-
Well currently you can't play Twins because power is bugged , so you won't see any if it isn't fixed before event lol. I imagine Knights will be pissed if it blocks AI hits.

Can you upload the video please @nicko_wit_ninja ?
Replicated on a custom bot match, happens for me on the forced switch after pouncing a healthy survivor, guess it also happens on pallet stuns while controlling Victor or any other action that forces a switch. Also a PS5 user.

Maybe post it into bug section of this forum.
All I can say is, that I played today around 5 twins matches, I do pound on healthy survivor and it never happaned to me
There's already a post there from another user. Again Ps5 user.

This is the bug in general, replicated in a custom bot match. Forced transition into Charlotte after pouncing a healthy survivor triggers it. End up at a fixed field of view looking at the floor, can't attack or at least no animation, can't move after summoning Victor again. Normal switching doesn't trigger it for me, only the pouncing on a healthy survivor.
-
I'm surprised they haven't killswitched Twins yet, i know not many people play them but still.

I didn't play Twins since the new chapter dropped. Now I am scared to even try them.
It's easily replicated on custom matches against bots if you want to see for yourself. But yeah, unplayable.
-
There's that bug i was talking about, replicated in a custom bot match, after pouncing on a healthy survivor which forces a switch back into Charlotte. It's not the cursor one, afaik but that's also present at times. Believe Hag has some bugs too.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y67sk-oKslA -
This happens on PS5 too, pretty frequently every match after pouncing onto a healthy survivor. Field of view facing the floor, can move until you unbind Victor, no attack animations or can't attack at all. Replicated on a custom match with bots.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y67sk-oKslA -
Not sure if this is the same bug or not, but i played a few custom games as Twins, and after a forced switch back into charlotte after a pounce my viewpoint would either be facing the ground, or can't move or can't attack. If anyone can replicate that on ps5 to confirm.

lowered them to 1 minute. Heaps of people will come in this post and talk about how on console there is some bug that lets them not move, however all i see is rage quitting after so many various reasons..
It might be actually the coffin nail for me for this game not gonna lie, maybe i just need a break but honestly i cant enjoy the game with so many dcing going on.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3278712#Comment_3278712
oh bugs and glitches, thats a new one. I have people seen dc after:
- -They saw a killer they didnt like
- -got downed/hooked early on
- -havent been able to use wiggle builds
- -couldnt finish their gens when it was almost done
- -got baited out DH
- -got grabbed off gens/out of lockers/off pallets
- and so on. This i experience both as soloQ survivor and as a killer too. We had a 3man swf going on today which got screwed 3 times by dcing randoms IN A ROW. All because penaltys are shorter.
Just pointing it out, that it's not only rage DCing. There's actual problems.
-
In my opinion i disagree, by the time he's acomplished something while utilising his power in his current state, whether that's a hit or a down or wasting a specific survivor's time, you've already lost 2 or even 3 gens. Other killer's such as Artist and Dredge do what he does but better, in terms of getting results as Anti-loop. C tier maybe, in current state.
-
Don't think it's fair to say that right now, there's a lot of bug's and glitches around. I tried 4 Twins games and i got stuck in at least 3 of them after Victor pounced on a healthy survivor. Only thing you can do from that point is just DC because you cannot see at level height, move or attack.
-
I was trying out the knight's hex, and i'm pretty sure they cleansed that quite quickly, which was surprising. Even plaything and pentimento which i tried against them later on they eventually cleansed. With cross map swarms they react quite quickly but if anyone else is around they just sit on the gen while swarmed which was a bit odd.
As Dredge they will lock every single locker, if you teleport in front of them during a chase they know before you've arrived at that locker, Nightfall doesn't affect them in terms of inconvience. Stupid with the revenant teleport though. Actually teleported to a random locker and grabbed a Meg, was miles away so not sure what propted that.

Nowhere to hide has specifically “damaging” a generator meaning to kick it so that means perks that regress gens without kicking don’t work
So damaging and explode are different generator mechanics wise then, they still ought to change the wording to kick. XD
-
Depends on the killer tbh, Like for instance on Artist i run Agitation , DMS , PR, Hex: Face the darkness or sometimes CoB. She doesn't need chase perks and info is already pretty good for her. So only really leaves slowdown and minimal info / utility perks at least for me.
-
Twins rework, or at least revist it mechanic wise with the new AI, to really enforce that two places at once vibe. Perks could be made useful too.
Hoarder - Any item picked up outside of your Terror Radius or chest opened outside of your terror radius reveals their aura for 8 seconds. Using an item looted from a chest now applies exposed for 30 seconds.
Opression - Kicking a Gen now forces a difficult skillcheck on 3 random generators, failing that skillcheck blocks the gen for 15 seconds. Gain a token for how long a gen you've physically kicked has regressed every 5 seconds. Upto 20 tokens, your next gen kick will instantly regress 1% extra per token. 60 second cooldown. Reverse potential energy i guess.
Coupe De Grace - Same effect but also gain a token per hook state. Essentially given you more than 5 uses. Maybe reduce lunge extention a bit to compensate.
Know this won't happen, but i'd also like a potential crafting mechanic for addons. Like a recycle system, 100xbrown addons = 1 purple addon ect.
-
I find his power semi useless in most situations, even bots were outrunning the Assassin pretty consistantly when placed in close proximity on some maps. Even his addons are useless now, so there's no saving grace there. Definitely needs a rework, because this concept clearly doesn't work.
They should take inspiration from Noob Saibot from the Mortal Kombat series as far as his power goes with summons. Like Noob saibots shadow clones attacks.
Assassin - Projectile trajectory akin to Wesker's dash, Direct hit damages and applies deep wounds, end of dash location start patroling if no contact.
Jailer - Place a Trap radius, if triggered, Survivor is held in chains but takes no damage, can attempt to break free, once free, be hindered for 5 seconds. Can't be placed within 6-8m of a hooked survivor
Brute - Applies sloppy and broken on hit, get's a stacking haste buff every 1.5 seconds, lasts 25 seconds. Can be stunned, but still phases through dropped pallets. Retains Brutal strength utility. Increased Circle radius, Patrol's jailor's length of time.
Ability to cycle between guards manually, each with a cooldown, can cancel patrols but suffer a cooldown, Flag mechanic the same but no endurance or sprint burst, must uproot the planted flag for 1 second.
Rework addons accordingly.
-
Arthritis from clicking so many bloodweb nodes.
-
I'm rocking this atm, The Blood prestige weapon goes nicely with the community skin and the mask i like better than the headpiece of said community skin.
-
I'm fine with most maps depending on the killer, but in my experience Meat Plant and Grim Pantry are the worst for most killer's.
-
Artist. She has no hands, at most i'd get stained by ink.
-
I'd rather them make the knight's green mist pathing invisible, along with the circle radius of the ghosts. Perhaps keep the banner but don't highlight it for survivor.
-
Nevermind, fixed randomly after 4th attempt restarting the game.
-
It's possible. I remember a game i had several weeks ago on RPD, hit a steve as he vaulted, he sprints away, i catch up and just before i smack him, i get a bit of lag and end up getting kicked from the match. I play on a PS5 and have had no issues prior to this, so i doubt that's the cause. Not the internet either, so 🤷♂️
-
If they're blocked, they're not regressing. You keep the current progress.
On it's own, eruption is pretty meh for it's effects, if you're incapacitated, better off running towards the downed and soon to be hooked survivor to unhook. It's only a problem with other perks like CoB and Overcharge combined.
-
Realistically i wouldn't expect anyone to loop a killer for more than a minute unless strong tiles are in play, which is what it comes down to, RNG and tile structures, even the type of map.
Then you have the type of killer to take into account as well with powers, and map knowledge. For instance, you're not gonna loop an Artist as well as compared to a normal M1 killer for instance.
-
I see no issue with both perks tbh. Plaything requires a hook to utilize, and you can pretty much ignore it if you become more aware of your surroundings.
Pentimento relies on cleanses to utilise, so unless you are all cleansing Plaything left, right and centre then it shouldn't be too much of an issue, giving how most totems have memorable spots.
-
If the wings are tied to the headpeice slot, then she can pull off a Miranda cosplay from resident evil villiage :D

I didn't want to open a new thread for this one question: Could anyone tell me what the practical application for the Charcoal Stick is? I'm confused why I'd want to swap flight Aura for 0.5 sec Summoning Aura
0.5 seconds is how long survivors see your crow placement when summoned, then they don't see the flight aura when launched. I guess it's ok for scouting gens but outside of that, not much use, as you don't want survivors to see your crow placement through walls at loops ect.
-
How are your matches with her going now after this post? @Viciusaurus
-
I main her the most out of my roster of killer's. With her bird's you only want to fire one crow to swarm, then follow up with 2 or 3 crows while in chases. As for scouting gen's it's more lenient, fire 1 crow at 3 gens to quickly pinpoint locations or 1 crow at 1 gen to enable a follow up crow if you know survivors are working on that specific gen.
She doesn't really benefit from chasing perks or most hexes, so you're looking at Slowdowns, gen blocks, auras, information and status.
The build i favour with her is Agitation, Pain Resonance, Dead Man's Switch and Call of Brine, works really well for me. It all combo's well enough that you can 90% of the time always get to a scourge hook and proc pain res and dms if need be, Call of brine as a backup that also gives you information once they hit a skillcheck, informing you to send a bird that way.
Though you can use any of these and switch it up: Agitation, Pain Res, DMS, CoB, Eruption, Gift of Pain, Plaything, Pentimento, Discordance, Floods of Rage, I'm all ears, Lethal Pursuer, BBQ, Overcharge, Devour Hope, No Way Out, Deadlock.
Add-on wise, Severed Hands enables her to pressure multiple survivors, so i favour that myself. Her purples are all quite good except for the one that provides an extra crow. Her iridescents are bad in that you won't get much value from them. Thorny nest, o grief o lover, silver bell are decent, Thick Tar and Carrion combo if you're struggling with her dire crows, drop that once you're reliably hitting them.
At loops, you'd want to place a dire crow to one side of the pallet, and try and force the survivor into the pathing or M1 them if they decide to leave the loop, windows treat it like Pyramid Head and hit the swarm crow, then follow up. Walls and shack, same idea as pallets.
https://youtu.be/t4mPfNHVzogMight help you a bit on the dire crow's prediction.
PS. Someone inform that Nea that crows can go through walls.
-
She's my main but often go for the snipes / dire crow hits in chases.
Also hilarious to match your snipes with classical music XD
https://youtu.be/t4mPfNHVzogFor example :D
-
Hmm idk, maybe for perks but i doubt i'd use any of Wesker's perks on my Artist. Might play him if he got a skin of the Resident Evil TV series' Wesker on Netflix however.
And don't really play survivor all that much to warrant a purchase just for Wire Tap.

A lot of skill? She literally shutdowns loops with her power and forces you to shift w away,,artist can be described as many things,, a killer that takes skill is not of them, not saying she is super easy, definitely not hard though
Outside of loops she does require skill, even at certain loops it can still be argued she does require a certain amount of skill / Knowledge.

I'm gonna have to get better and try this. I've mainly been using the brown that extends crow swarm and a random yellow.
You might appreciate this video of mine then haha :D

What do you guys think of my build...
I'm running...
Dying light, Pain resonance (crow regression perk), Jolt & bamboozle
Pain Res is reliable, more so with Agitation if you have that. Jolt doesn't proc from Dire crows, only main weapon hits that down (Still good though), However Eruption does proc with dire crow hits. Bamboozle is not really needed on her as her crows go through walls and objects. Dying Light is not bad but weak on it's own.
I suggest any of these : Dead Man's Switch , Pain Resonance, Agitation, Discordance, Eruption , Call of Brine, Overcharge, Thrilling Tremors, Hex:pentimento, Hex:plaything, Gift of Pain, Lethal Pursuer , I'm all Ears, Devour Hope, Deadlock. Functions really well with her power or her in general.
-
Severed hands - Potentially her most strongest and most threatening addon, allowing you to do this to deal massive pressure
9 seconds · Clipped by CrowEffect · Original video "Dead by daylight - Artist shots / snipes over 2 matches" by CrowEffectThen Thorny Nest if you're getting constant dire crow hits.
The bell is nice when they can't see you, and on indoor maps.
O,Grief O lover is nice to deny deadhard , Lithe and Overcome.
Thick Tar and Festering Carrion are good if you're not reliably hitting dire crows yet.
The rest are super situational or kinda wack but those 6 you will get value from.
-
I mean is there much incentive to keep prestiging a character that's not your main past a certain point? Rewards are pretty wack, and afaik addon rarity doesn't feel all that affected in the lower bloodwebs. With that said, i only have a Prestige 8 Jonah, a prestige 9 Artist, 7 Dredge, and the rest are not prestige or at 1/2. But have all Perks from previous shrines, the odd level up to 40 and hundreds of hours in the game. Prestige does not indicate skill in my eyes, Hope the community doesn't turn it into another 'Gearscore' = Skill scenario like WoW did just to be accepted into group activities / Events way back in the day.

Mine are Clown (he's not free on pc), Artist, Blight, and maybe bubba now that bbq isn't required for leveling.
Blight I'm just bad at, but I genuinely don't understand how clown and artist are so underpowered. Especially artist considering she's fairly new. Maybe I just don't understand how to play her but her power seems completely useless.
@ThiccBudhha said:
None of them, but if I had to pick one; definitely Artist. She is about as overrated as it gets and not particularly fun to play on top of that.
I might prefer the 9k shards back to get a survivor now that I am playing the role so much more frequently... But it would just be weird not owning all the killers.
@[Deleted User] said:
Dredge and Artist. They're just so...clunky. I can't with them.
How Dare you. Bird Mommy is awesome.
She's definitely not underpowered power wise, that would be Sadako @BlazePyron2
The clunky comment i don't get when you have a killer like Twins with forced mechanics that makes them that way, whereas the other two don't. But i understand everything is subjective.
-
My Artist and Dredge are on 9 and 6 XD Clearly i need to play more than a couple hours a week. But Work 🤷
-
He's my second main, first being Artist, so it's only natural that i'd be drawn to him haha.
-
My Artist is happy haha, seeing how DMS is now the same effective cooldown as eruption, i may as well bring them both to combo with Pain res / Agitation / DMS / Eruption for added survivor annoyance :D
-
Mount Ormond - Love a snowy map, balance wise i feel it's fair, nothing too strong or annoying to deal with. Con being a little bit too bright.
New Haddonfield - I love this map now, not too big, good looking and fair. Con being that could be hook starved at either end on the map,
-
Well with my Artist i just went with DMS / PR / Agitation / Deadlock before the patch, But i've been preferring 2 other builds with her as of late.
Gift of pain / Eruption / Agitation / Call of Brine - With Thorny nest addon for additional mangled with dire crows.
Call of Brine / Thana / DMS / Eruption - Not so fun for survivors i imagine but :P Would be the case for a killer that doesn't really need chase perks or additional info perks.
-
Love my Dredgy.

@YOURFRIEND said:
To preface this post: I play whatever side has the shortest queue times. Before the patch this was like 70% killer but I haven't touched killer since the update. It's bizzare to me that people have such strong preference for one side or the other; I literally don't care. I love DBD and I almost always have fun with it regardless of role.
So. The stuff that has changed.
MATCHMAKING : It's felt off since the update. I think I'm getting killers closer to my skill level which is very average, but also a hell of a lot more nurses. I used to see like maybe two nurses a month but now it's every third game. Literally the only killer I hate and will not play against. Haven't seen a single legion which is a bummer.
PERK CHANGES: Been seeing a lot of variety which is nice. More aura reading perks than perviously. I started running Circle of Healing and Shadowstep. Been getting massive Shadowstep value since most of the aforementioned nurses run floods of rage. Been getting good saboteur value, denying scourges is great fun. Buffed botany is incredible. I never ran any meta perks before cuz they felt unfair so I cannot comment on them.
BASE BT: Love it. It's gotten me out several games I wouldn't have otherwise. People say it's inconsequential but that's not been my experience. I've found it extremely helpful. Makes it much more difficult for artist to camp with crows and if you get hooked nearish a gate in the end game it makes it much easier to get out.
REGRESSION PERKS: Pretty good! Not having to check for ruin immediately every game is very nice. Even if they do have it, it's inconsequential. Seen it maybe twice since the patch and just did all the gens through it. It does nothing. The gen kicking perks have not been an issue outside of three gens, which is when they are very rough. But three gens are always difficult to deal with so whatever. I have gotten hellaciously good at overcharge skill checks. Iron will is also still good, just can't run it with an exhaustion perk.
GEN SPEED: I'll be honest here. The longer gens feel kind of bad. You can definitely notice it and it's cost me a fair few gens that got interrupted at 90%. I think base weaker corrupt would have been a much more interesting way to do it.
Overall great patch. Been enjoying it a great deal, many of the low tier perks I run were buffed. I suspect much of the outcry is from people who run the same 3-4 perks every game. Which is boring. Don't be boring. Run distortion, run fast track and stake out. Mess around and have fun.
The Artist 'crow camping' i don't get, it's just clever power usage. And if it negates OTR, no reason not to do it. And if you're purposely healing under hook against an Artist after unhooking, that's on you and your teammate as well. Assuming you mean this as an example.
11 seconds · Clipped by Vindicated · Original video "Dead by daylight - Artist shots / snipes over 2 matches" by VindicatedOther than that, been seeing a lot of Saboteur, Balanced landing, head on, boons, a few pebbles (lol) and most of the old meta that's not DS or IW.

Eruption is a fairly nice alternative to Jolt for killer's that don't always M1, as is Pain ress with agitation.

Fair enough. My only real issue with artist atm is DMS and PR on her but that is being nerfed soon anyway. Otherwise she’s a balanced albeit annoying to fight
Also her lack of cosmetics though the community one chosen looks great!
Think she looks pretty dope with the mask headpiece on any of her cosmetics imo, but won't complain if they want to add more, especially love the upcoming community one.
-
Boil over users i hate, more the fact i tend to get stuck on a corner of some object or difficulty trying to get through a doorway on certain maps. As for killer, probably No Way Out.
