Question about "The Artist" addon - Charcoal stick

The Dire Crows Aura is no longer visible when in flight.

I understand that part.

The Auras of Dire Crows are visible for 0.5 seconds upon being summoned.

to me from what this sounds like its an actual nerf to ur power without compensation in another area of it. 0.5 is nothing. it feels worse than those BP meme addons.

Is this just written badly or is it actually as worthless as it seems

  • It is garbage add-on. It's something like a "meme add-on" (these who nerf your power a lot for a bloodpoints) but this one don't give you anything. It just takes away.

  • It is as worthless as it seems. It means that survivors will know exactly where your crows are when you first place them down no matter what, meaning you can't make them guess where your birds are at taller loops, in exchange for them not seeing the crows coming when you launch them, which they don't need anyways because they already saw it for 0.5 seconds. It's a terrible addon.

  • Not sure if you understood the add on correctly but these auras are for survivors not for the killer

When the crows take flight their auras are revealed to the survivors for about the same duration (0.5) and because of that they can tell which direction they are flying at

What this add on does is it lets the survivors see the aura when the crow is placed rather than when it starts it’s flight it can be good sometimes because they are harder to see than the moving crow aura and it’s also hard to see which direction they are aimed at

it’s kinda like a more stealthy attack that survivors can avoid by staying alert

I guess i misunderstood, nowhere does it say the survivors see the aura. seems bad either way

  • I find it good paired with severed hands, most people don't pay attention sitting on gens, so with 0.5 seconds they won't notice the placement, even in chases.

a question about severed hands i guess. do the survivor have to be 3 meters near the survivor anytime they have a swarm. or just when they get swarmed

Anytime. I have had cases of multiple people swarmed, a survivor clears the swarm, crosses paths with another survivor who is swarmed and it gets reapplied again. It's very handy, pardon the pun. A few examples in this video.
