So i just had a game on RPCD with Twins and all 3 boons in play... such fun when the effects transition over 3 floors. : /
-
According to them, yes. 🤷♂️ Super over performing.
-
What? Bubba's run other perks that are not Iron Grasp / BBQ / Agitation and Insidious??? Who knew. -
Does anyone know how many pallets were on it before the rework?

It's called solo Q my friend. The few twins I faced have play in such a manner. Way more than any oni or bubba I have faced. No one likes to get slugged. Camping Is acceptable since one has the option to freely leave. With slugging one has to sit there and do nothing, but wait the 4 minutes.
Not an excuse. Partner up with a teammate and follow them all game if you know it's a Twins, that's their counterplay and should be well known by now. Healing is easier than ever now with boons, no reason a whole team should be slugged, especially with Victor. Assuming a person does get downed by Victor that's a 5 second stun enough for a kick and more so, if all 4 of you are in close proximity and not kicking then i don't know ######### you're doing if you're letting that happen, solo Q or not.

Other than CoH, what else makes you think they've been neglected?
(Not arguing they haven't, just interested in context beyond what is in the title)
Validation on Victor / Dead hard validation abuse with Victor (opening him up for a kick) CoH / boons not snuffable by Victor / Massive Maps 10x worse with the 5 second stun and 3 second wake up + Walking over to them with charlotte / Pounce collision on nothingness / No changes or addon tweaks with the all killer changes past couple months back. To name a few.
-
@Trickstaaaaa said:
The twins at their best are a slugging machine which is worse than getting camped, which is why bubba is not as hated. That is why a lot of people don't like them. And a lot of people usually won't play what they don't like tbh.
Definitely not with the 5 second victor stun, blown up way out of proportion. Oni and Bubba will slug you more with no drawbacks.
-
Seeing as the other thread got moved or swept under the rug, Twins needs help, I don't care if "no one plays them" it's not an excuse, you know why hardly anyone else plays them? Because of the absurd measures introduced to them and that continue to be so with each update. Validation with Victor / Dead hard abuse with Victor / Boons / STUNS / Massive maps / No tweaks with the recent killer changes couple months back.
Way to ruin a killer that had a unique concept.
-
Why has this been moved? Twins is not new so granted you have all the feedback you need and there's no suggested changes... All it is creating awareness which they need, don't sweep it under the rug as per usual.
-
@IronKnight55 said:
Probably because no one plays them. Twins is hated by sooo many people.
That's not an excuse tbh. Twins is hated for slugging? Yet Oni and bubba slugs are just as bad yet no extreme measures are taken against them, no wonder hardly anyone plays them even though they have a unique concept.
-
My Twins is currently benched until changes happen, there's just too much that hampers them with boons , dead hard , the stuns , awkward pounces and bigger maps making it hard for Charlotte to pick up or catch up for a follow up hit. Considering Oni / Leatherface arguably slug more, not even sure why they thought a 5 second stun was warranted.
Regardless, i'm having fun with Artist and Executioner while Twins licks her wounds.
-
I quite like it and will most likely continue to use it over Sprint burst / Lithe. As for Dead Hard, well i never liked using it, playing both sides i find the perk does too much for what it was intended for and it's borderline scummy for me with it's many uses.
-
I think a Vodoo killer would be fun, as in each survivor has a voodoo doll the killer can interact with that are spread around the map, kinda like how pinhead's box mechanic works. That in addition to being loosely based on Baron Samedi and black magic abilities in general.
Or an Illusionist / Mesmer type character.
-
Rather her than 4 matches against LeatherFace in a row.
-
Myself i would rather run Deadlock with Thrilling Tremors, would give you more value during the course of the match.

So glad a can dhare my experiences with the Artist finally. All week I did not get to play against her or try the new map. So let's start with my killer experience. I love everything about her and I am nowhere near mastering her. Looks, tracking, long distance hits, etc are brilliant. My first gm i just practiced with birds didn't try to kill so resulted in 4E.
Since has been 4k 6 games in a row (not all easy). I enjoy her perks and her synergy with perks.
My survivor experience since i finally got to play against few times resulted in 4k (team threw game), and 2 4E's. I have yet to see someone downed by birds (except when i play her) so I do think there is a good amount of skill involved with her.
New map: MEH but maybe that will change. Better than RPD by Longshot.
She definitely has a skill ceiling which i love, just dislike that she's cucked by some maps, but yet again which killer isn't? Just with elevation issues on top of that.
As for the new map, i think it's okay, at least for her. I had a Doctor's game on there and my god that was painful. The upstairs with the crow's nest is particularly bad, and there's a super strong shack setup with 2 close pallets about 15m away in both directions.
-
Kinda like how boon builds screw over Twins. 🤷♂️
-
Incredibly OP on RCPD's 3 floors, especially that totem spot in the library. But yeah, either needs an internal cooldown of say 90 seconds for that 1 totem / a requirement to bless it (Like how flashbang and Blastmine have requirements) or Limit it to 1 use per totem and when snuffed the totem loses energy or whatever and cannot be blessed again.

Personally I don't mind this but I wish it was telegraphed better to the player
Like maybe they should get some kind of sound que or a warning when they are in injure range of a dire crow when not swarmed
I mean they already see the crow idle and the sound cue of her placing it, do they really need a third? People just need to learn how much distance 8m is, pretty much the same as PotD distance without addons.

Your suggestion is a bit too much in my opinion. I think she only needs the changes I mentioned.
She does not need changes, It's 8m, it's a straight line, only damages through windows or pallets if not obstructed by obstacles. If you're gonna loop her, make sure there's obstacles between you and the summoned crow and take a swarm instead or leave the loop. Treat it like a PotD, only less spam, and if you let her summon 3 crows at a loop on a tile unobstructed, that's on you.
-
I think the damage crow is fine, it's 8m and a straight line. If they do nerf that though, they can increase the repel time to 12-15 seconds seeing as it doesn't damage on first hit.
Generally think they will nerf the distance the crows travel though, cause god forbid stealthy survivors can't sit on gens and urban away anymore. XD
-
I managed to get 4 so far at same time with plaything, still got value from a mid game stand off.
-
Her killer instinct sometimes goes off when i can visibly see it should've been a hit and it's directly gone through them , so i'd like to know the spacing for that because it's robbed me of a down at a couple of loops.
-
Oh it's definitely Artist now , She's so versatile in comparison to my Twins and Executioner.
It's just maps like The Game are really poor for her with the elevation , amount of pallets and the amount of lockers. Other than that, she's sound.

I don't have a massive issue with Dead Hard tbh. I kind of see it the same way that I see other exhaustion perks, it'll give you that boost but then it's not going to help you for the rest of the chase.
Dead Hard basically allows you to be greedy, it lets you get another loop around a pallet for example - it's not a mistake when survivors do this, it's intentional, they know they have Dead Hard so they know they can make the loop before dropping that pallet, or make the window.
I still think Sprint Burst is a stronger exhaustion perk, but I feel that Dead Hard is more frustrating for some players to play against.
I think there's a fine line with how it can have multiple ways it can be used over other exhaustion perks, kinda invalidates other exhaustion candidates when Dead Hard can negate an M1 attack, a power attack cooldown, Creates Distance to pallet / Window, Extend chases to be 2x longer in certain scenarios, Shits on Victor allowing him to be kicked for free, Dead Hard combined with DS / BT offers way too much for one perk slot in my humble opinion.
-
I've been liking Severed Hands / Ink Egg combo and also O Grief , O lover with Still life Crow
-
What addons are people favouring?
-
She's fine as is imo, we don't want another Pinhead treatment just because survivors have to play differently against certain killers where they can't just sit on Gens without consequences.

Discordance / Deadlock or BBQ / Pain resonance / Pop or Ruin
Plaything / Pentimento / Ruin / Thana - I want to try this but waiting for thana to pop up.
Devour / Thrill / No way Out / Deadlock
Here's Corrupt / Plaything / Pentimento / Pain Resonance on video, weird game with survivors being too altruistic and 1 dc because Cheryl refused to leave the area with her flashlight.

They seem okay, most are good like the mangled , exhaustion, oblivious for greens, the extra crows and the survivors get swarmed close together addons ( Pretty good with discordance and spacing your crows out on a single gen to put multiple survivors into the injured state or downed. The Iridescents though are kinda meh, especially the exposed one being only 4 seconds.
-
It's even worse when combo'ed with CoH or Soulguard. But yeah i agree, completely overlooked. Possible bandaid fix is to allow Victor to break or latch onto totems.
-
I love her addons to be honest, except the blind addon. Some could be buffed like her exposed iridescent to be 8 seconds on par with the repel time, instead of 4 seconds.
She's especially nasty with severed hands and the extra crow addon for people who 2-3 man gens together. Discordance and those addons *Chef's kiss*

So, a couple questions about the Artist...1. Just how far can she shoot those birds? 2. Does Killer Instinct kick in when the birds are surrounding you?
Map wide. Though they need to be within certain distance for initial damage state or already have swarm on them for further than that.
The Artist see's the aura of the swarm if you don't repel it, Killer instinct pops up if the crows narrowly miss you when launched or passes through you while you're in a locker.
-
Myself being used to Pyramid Head's play style and Twin's pounce Hitbox, she is decently good for me and easy to pick up, potential main even. Great zoning and anti loop killer, with built in scouting and gen poke. I like her a hell of a lot more than Nemesis or PinHead for recent releases. Fun as well as in terms of power usage.
-
She's perfectly fine on console, the crow hit box is fairly generous, pretty similar to Victor's pounce hitbox. If you're playing her like Huntress you're doing it wrong, She plays more like a longer range Pyramid head with Zoning, as in don't spam all 3 crows in a chase at the start just to apply swarm, apply swarm with 1 crow within 15-10m ect, catch up for M1 or force an Interrupt, then use 2-3 crows in directional paths the survivor can take for a down.

Well those mains sure skew the kill rates for everyone else. At least statistically. Which is the only thing that matters to the devs in regard of balancing.
Anyway, kill rates of the Twins are about to drop for an unexpected reason.
Probably CoH and the Undying boon.
-
You're not supposed to spam the crows in chases, use them for zoning and keep them idle at loops and force survivors to loop into the crow's directional path. Use one crow for swarm, catch up to M1 or force them to interrupt repelling the crows by vaulting, then use all 3 crows to limit their options in directions, if you hit it, good, if not, you gain distance on them for M1 when they dodge.
-
I've played 5 games with Artist tonight and got to use it 4 times, this was paired with Plaything. Only managed to have 2 re-lit totems up at the same time though. I suppose it's killer dependant, if you can trap them/ puke on it with 2 minute duration it's alright in theory. Still better than thana though imo.
-
Pop / Deadlock / Pain Resonance / Thrilling Tremors - I guess if you want to be annoying haha, Deadlock should buy time for a down , Thrilling tremors to potentially block it again while carrying / see the gen being worked on, Pain resonance for regression once thrilling ends, pop if they tap it while heading over there. Imagine that on Plague with her object puking addons.
-
I have a soft spot for Clown, Sure, matches can go either way, but i love the fact i can switch my brain off and not have to think of positioning, mind games or using power for the best possible outcome as much as other killers i play.
-
I think a Twins Catacombs map would be more interesting in my Opinion, but both deserve some sort of map.
-
Mine's been decent, first few days maxed out perks and unlocked some additional teachables from others onto main survivor, some Huntress tunnelers but other than that.
Killer side i've been bringing cakes with my Pyramid Head, give everyone a fair game, Except the one game where a team of 2 decided to follow me around head on spamming when they could, like a full on build dedicated to just that. It was annoying on RPCD, which is itself already annoying, so they were slugged for the rest of the game after the 4th head on spam, let the other two survivors get a lot of points.
-
I usually favour Thrilling Tremors in my builds, as opposed to BBQ.
But rest is dependant on the killer.
My Pyramid Head uses Pop / Thrilling / PlayThing/ Corrupt - It works for me, While most run nurses or i'm all ears, i tend to do better with this.
Twins - Ruin / Surge / No way Out / Thrilling - With how prevalent boons are, sloppy is pretty much invalidated with medkits inside the boon radius for me, Will switch surge with the new scourge hook regression perk.
Plague - Corrupt / Hysteria / Pop / Thana - I use the new Plague object infection addons only, works a treat. Will probably switch out Corrupt for the Scourge hook regression perk for more regression.
-
Bubba , Huntress , Ghostface I've seen pretty frequently over the past 5 days that I've played, Mainly the Huntress' favouring some tunneling in my matches.
A couple matches against Doctor,Blight,Nemesis, Pinhead, Spirit, Nurse, Pig, Freddy, Trapper and Plague.
One match against Hag, Wraith , Trickster.
The rest i haven't seen i don't think, definitely haven't played against a Twins in recent sessions.
-
Ruin mostly, though i find it pretty much needed on my Plague and Twins, for the way i play them.
-
Depends what you combo it with i guess, Dying light would probably be better if you're finding them to cleanse more often.

The Artist's new Iridescent, the Garden of Rot, if I remember correctly, is so stupidly bad that it is honestly sad.
Four seconds of Exposed after a Swarm is repelled? Really?
Doesn't seem so bad, If you combo it with the extra crow addon and if you're decent at hitting the crows. They take the risk of being one hit downed if they repel in a chase, if they don't, well they're oblivious and able to be injured at lengthy range. Much better than Twin's exposed addon when Victor is kicked while Idle, once they learn that, he will not be kicked again.
-
I'd say Pyramid Head's Iri addons, I think i've generally never used them other than trying them out once and going 'Meh'.
-
When a fellow survivor decides to loop around you and then proceeds to unhook only for you to go down because he had no BT or refused to take a hit.
