I understand that and I think the game is fair enough, but yet there are constant complaints from both killers and survivors.
I don't understand killer complaints at all because I think the game is killer sided (but being a horror game, it should be). What I don't understand is the survivor complaints other than maybe when our perks get nerfed or killers constantly complain and we lose the few advantages we do have. However, again...it is a horror game so if we don't get a lot of advantages, I get that because we aren't meant to have them. However it would be nice to have more abilities that feel more life-like (more than just crouching or vaulting) that allow for us to hide more. I'm not the best at running a killer and since our only defense is pallets (which after they fall and get broken...they're gone) or flashlights (which I'm awful at), it would be nice to have more life-like actions to have more hiding spots because closets fall me almost every single time. Other than that...I don't understand why people complain so much about a game that's based off of a genre where killers win.
The game isn't killer sided. Once you get to a high enough skill level you'll see that.

And then everyone will depip because the killer refuses to interact with anyone other then the person he is camping.
Not true. You won't depip from that even at rank 1, because you'll have two iridescent emblems.

Yikes; you did great so far (i'm 4 mins in) but no gens got done until 3:29 even while you looped his face off. Bad teammates; nothing you can do there. You run tiles efficiently even taking into account that disgusting chain of tiles near the shack. That's a 'your teammates' issue, not you.
Thanks ๐
Although I don't mind losing the first game. That Billy was really fun to play against.

It would definitely be out of balance. There's a reason they haven't done that, he could instantly block off half of the map. Doing so should come at a high price. Imagine blocking an entire map with 5 gens still remaining. His power is like an insta-down, with no counterplay when an structure is secured with bear traps. Have you ever been chased by trapper and he had everything trapped? That should come at a price. He needsย to find his traps so he can't simply baracade half the map instantly.
I know you're a troll, but you're also spot on for this one.

...how do only indoor maps do that I'm genuinely confused
They just do. I think it's bc of the animations constantly playing:
Hawkins has moving hooks
Lerus has the center of the map that makes the game unplayablekf I'm there
I'm fine with Midwich.

Isn't that the one of Trapper's greatest Strengths; being a defensive based killer in which he can very effectively shut down a area! He not like many killers whom requires chasing, in order to used his power effectively; he used the time to place all of his traps and hope Survivors make the blunder to risk looping there or not bothering to waste time looking for the trap and disarming them early!
And if you do not like that, then make the traps spawn more in the center of the map, instead of the edges; so that Trapper can used all of his traps!
Making them spawn in the center wouldn't be bad. But he shouldn't start with all traps, because that would be OP

I totally agree with you. But using Sprint Burst and Lithe perfectly is much much easier than using Dead Hard perfectly.
How? Using SB perfectly requires 99%ing it, which is much harder than just pressing a button for free distance.

Most likely, since it only affects survivors in TR

I can understand it being necessary back when the killer's pick up time was almost 5 seconds long, but now? It's only 3 seconds to pick someone up and that isn't much time to get into position.
There are many moments where survivors are in position for a save, but miss it because their timing was a few milliseconds too early or late. It's silly how exact survivors have to be.
How it works currently: The killer must be blinded at the moment they complete the pickup animation
How it should work: If the killer is suffering blindness when completing the pickup animation, they drop the survivor
Get good instead of wanting the game to carry you. Flashlight saving isn't hard at all.

They really underestimate how OP "carry all traps". Even with 2 top tiers addon Purple + Yellow bag (starts with 4 traps & carry 5 traps) still weaker than their suggestion (start with 6 & carry 6).
Trapper can 3 Gens in Azaro, Suffopit, Sactum or wrath on 1 side every match
Consider that Coil addons save him half a sec each time he setup is also decent. Start with all traps straight up save him 3mins, thats just greedy.
Exactly.

They should have should Trapper the ability to carry all of his traps at once; and allow him to pick up and set up as many traps as he wants! That and Survivor do not get a visual warning about whom the killer is by noticing his traps early! The bag addons, can allow him to carry more then his base 6 Traps in the map; which I think it is possible to have over 10 traps total!
Yeah...no. That's too much, because Trapper can just lock down an entire area without spending any of his time.

Fine, just give it 3 tokens, and thatโs it. Loop giving you a real problem, spend one token to break the pallet. Can only do it 2 more times.
That would be fine on some maps, but not others.
-
The entity blocker might as well not even exist. Idk if you've heard of shift tech, but I used it on Shack, and it became an infinite. I never got in chase, so I never got blocked.
Also, I don't think that that would be fair. You could just create deadzones, even with a cool down. Use a perk like that in a three gen and they have no chance.
-
Well, for non licensed characters likely will. However, licensed characters like Ghostface, Ash, Bill, and Bubba likely won't. They'd have to get licencing rights from the people who made them, which they already have to do twice a year.

It's not bannable. They didn't know it would happen, and had no way to deactivate it.

It's good I like it.
The best one is WGLF, Deliverance, DS, and PT. PT for early game objective points, you get chaser on your own, but it's not that hard, you save to get Deliverance, WGLF, and altruism, at endgame, get hooked, Deliverance, DS and escape as the obsession for max survival. You'll almost always get 32k with this

You can't bait a DH for distance. They use it before you get within hit distance, meaning that it's not possible to bait.
Also, I'm a legacy II Nurse, so def not inexperienced

I am on console, and like I said earlier, bugs suck. It's okay to be upset about them, but I have seen so many people on this forum and on Twitter harassing the developers.
They didnt screw up at all. They just can't get every single bug in testing because there isn't the same amount of people in the server as in the regular games. And even if you do consider it screwed up, they've been working on fixing them right away
Bugs are just one problem. They also added ANOTHER killer that is D or Low C tier, but somehow still not fun to play against.

Balanced every level except tournament level, and then it's survivor sided

Listen, I know the game can be frustrating, ESPECIALLY on console. Lord knows I've had more than my fair share of sweat squads, but all you can do is shrug it off and move on to the next match.
Trust me, the more you play, the easier it gets. Watch some youtube videos from high rank streamers, you can pick up a lot of useful tricks that way.
Don't let the loss get to you. At the end of the match, you're still getting points. If you still aren't doing well, try another killer, or swap to survivor for a bit.
You can do it, OP. Uncle Stabby believes in you.
I thought you were gonna say Lord Tony ๐๐

Yeah that system isn't going to work. EVER.
Hopefully they never add it. But knowing them, they probably will, and then when queue times become 3+ hours on a good day they'll remove it.

You can't even compare Nemesis to Plague. Plague's infection helps her by giving a perma NOED if survivors don't cleanse, and makes snowballing with Corrupt Purge way easier.
Nemesis' contamination makes him... able to chase normally? His chase power isn't that great to justify giving 4~8 extra health states. Imagine if Nurse or Spirit had to hit survivors 3 times.
I'd be fine hitting 3 times to down as Nurse. Might be a little challenge to make games more interesting.

I don't know about that. If there was a BP incentive, I think lots of people would still play. I would think that, for most people, points are more valuable than actual kills.
This is an SWF. You'll be lucky to get 1 kill. But fear not, you'll still earn more points than you would against a solo team. I think most people would go for that.
Then again, perhaps I'm being naive.
You are, but at the same time you're thinking in a more rational and healthy way than the majority of the community.

But I'm telling you, as a killer main, that if I knew I was playing an SWF - and I was incentivised to do so - I'd still play that game. Yes, if I was told it was an SWF and there was no incentive, then I'd quite possibly dodge, especially if it was a 3/4 man. Any changes need to all come at once, not one or the other.
You and I would. But 90% of the killer community wouldn't.

I'm simply making the point that before Behavior ever considers giving bonus bloodpoints for facing a SWF, they would probably start by letting the killer know they faced, maybe even are facing, a SWF in pre/post game lobby. You misconstrued my point.
Post game would be fine. I'd like that actually. People would realize that SWF isn't as powerful as they think. But pre game would be completely game breaking for SWF.
-
@mad_hatter said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2276011#Comment_2276011
Not if they incentivised killers to play with SWFs, as the OP has suggested. I'd still play with SWF. Knowing which players are communicating would change a killer's play style. It might alter which perks they carry. It's just basic knowledge to help counteract the massive advantage that SWFs automatically get.
Or are you suggesting that SWFs don't get an unfair advantage?
No amount of incentive would make a killer willingly play with a SWF, because of how much people hype up how powerful they are. People blame SWF for losing every time they lose, which gives them a bad reputation, and would lead to every SWF being dodged.
SWF get an advantage, but not necessarily an unfair one. Not every SWF is competitive. In fact, most are very chill, more so than solo players.
-
@Shooby said:
I think you should start by asking for the killer being made aware that he/she faced a SWF in the post-game lobby, maybe even before the trial in the pre-game lobby before you ask for bonus bloodpoints.
No. SWF wouldn't ever get a game, which isn't fair to people just trying to play with their friends. You can't beat the average SWF? That's on you.
