I don't think I've ever seen anyone running it of they're not doing Nancy's adept or also run sprint burst.
The thing is, you would never know what's going to be so what are the chances of you running fixated and finding that totem and cleansing it and being that prize?
True.

I know, I know. It was just an example and I made very clear I said walking and not running. Running would be having a 5th perk all game, not fair. But walking? Who cares, you know?
But that was my point, small little things that are enough to keep survivors entertained but not make things harder for the killer.
Yeah, I'd like that. Although, Fixated could make shack real nasty. It's fine though, since that isn't OP.

Solos can't do the exact same thing but they can do real well if they're good.
Adding coms and then balancing the game is the most obvious decision to make but BHVR likes to just pretend SWF has no advantage whatsoever.
True. I'm just saying what everyone else is.
It's not about SWF being overpowered, it's about how survivors at full potential are overpowered. This is just the most obvious choice here.

Wow, my answer was so long it actually Dc'd from server and lost it all. I think this forum saved you from reading a novel.
I think, if they had the chance to break it, survivors wouldn't even see them.
I was thinking "camping" totems, or running inmortal to see whoever is looking for them.
Also, in my head, I have really silly advantages like: 3% regression if you fail a skill check instead of 4 or walking (not running, walking) 5% faster.
Something small enough so it doesn't give advantage over killers but that people would seek out because of the kinder surprise touch to it because you don't know what it is until you get it.
Walking 5% faster is fine, but running is OP.
5% is a lot of speed in this game. We can see this by the difference between 4.4 and 4.6 killers. It would make it almost impossible to catch a good survivor, and impossible if you're a 4.4 killer.

Imagine if it slowly got closer to morning as the EGC ticked by. At the end, the sun would peek over the horizon, and a sweeping shockwave of destruction would suddenly burn the map away, instantly sacrificing the remaining survivors.
That would be amazing.

Yeah I’m not touching Clown ATM. Which is annoying because I’ve been in games recently where I thought “I wouldn’t be having this problem if I were using Clown right now...”
I usually cream teams as Clown too, without meta perks (because they bore me).
Me too. I literally could've said these exact words and they would all be true 🤣

What if the killer knew where they were just as they know where hex totems are located? Would that make it fairer?
Not really unless they had the chance to break it.

@gatsby said:
My theory on boon totems is that they’re the reverse of hex totems. They activate strong perks for Survivors once they are found and cleansed.
It’s an incentive to look for totems early-game instead of slamming generators. Essentially adding a new objective for Survivors that like risk/reward gameplay and bring boon perks.
Here’s an idea for one:
Boon: Long Run
Cleanse a Boon Totem to activate Boon: Long Run for the remainder of the trial.
Gain +5% haste status.
Extremely strong perk, but it requires you to spend the first 30-90 seconds running around the map looking for the Boon Totem.
Yeah no. With how they hide totems, that wouldn't be fair at all.

That's not hard to do as nurse. Those games go however you want them to go once you're great at nurse. But when you use Freddy, wraith, demo, Nemesis, etc etc. Plans getting wrecked can wreck killers like that.
You can say something like Corrupt is more reliable then totems. But when people hide it out and you spend 2 minutes finding anyone. It changes the game.
As I said, I don't play exclusively Nurse.

I feel games are too fluid to say "I never tunnel, camp, slug and still consistently 4k"
There's bullshit games like last night where I literally had all 4 survivors spawn on a gen + my totem. My gameplan was wrecked in literally 12 seconds
There's bullshit games where survivors hid and waited out my corrupt and I couldn't find anyone. My gameplan of starting the snowball was wrecked
My point is. My original game plan was wrecked. So in matchs like that. My game plan had to change to play a little more dirty
I never said I didn't slug.
I don't run hex perks, so my games don't go like that. My games will go how I want them to, with few exceptions.

So ur saying ur a pro killer main that can take down ORACLLEEE? Nah I'm joking but yeah I'm a clown main and i tunnel with him and get 4ks.
What's oracle?
Anyways, Clown is easily B tier. The only killer I'll ever lose as is Trickster, but even if I did tunnel, it would make no difference. He's just too weak. He literally made me discard my mindset of "Every killer is viable". That's how bad he is.

Not currently. He's bugged. I doubt even @TheClownIsKing could.
But normally, yes. I play a lot of Clown, or at least I used to. Same goes for most other killers.

Used Billy, got bullied because of me being bad at keyboard and mouse.
Fortunately, Nurse came out shortly after, who is the only killer I can play on KB+M, because she's basically W+M.

@van9684 said:
Well on here nothing a killer does is toxic apparently. It’s always survivors fault. Noed is because survivors didn’t get enough totems, not a reward for a killer who did poorly all game. Maps are survivor sided yet devs keep removing loops and windows, and the 4K rate is sky high. Killer tunneling? That’s survivors fault since they did a rescue, right? See the theme here?
These are all situations where the survivors are at fault. Get good.
-
@van9684 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2292698#Comment_2292698
So it’s always the survivors fault with zero emphasis on killer? Then why all the complaints about survivor maps and perks of survivors are just “bad”?
Because survivors simply have more OP things. Every map is either balanced or survivor sided. There are no killer sided maps. And then you have perks like SB, DH, and previously, DS.

Just like if majority of survivors escaped it isn't a skill problem for killers, but issues with anything else other than that players skill.
This is also true.
EDIT: I reread this and nevermind. This is true to an extent.

But data now shows most games are a 4K for killer. Logically that would show survivors are not able to compete. You can say some are just bad but surely not all are. If they are, why is that?
That only shows that most survivors are bad.
-
Hopefully gone forever. ######### that map.
-
Because most survivors are bad and can't compete with a good killer. At high levels the game is survivor sided, but judging by your posts, you aren't even close to that level yet.

Yeah he is so strong killer now but i am old Freddy main. So i never played with him for powers. But another rework for him would make me happy.

I don't think you understood the idea. You can use any perk on any char, the only difference is that one of the perks would necessarily be one of the char's perks. The other 3 can be any perk in the game. Why would that interfer on the variety of chars played?
I did. And I'm right. Doing that will just force people to not play characters with bad perks. You'll see no Jeff's, no Felix's, no Elodie's, no Neas, no Ash's, no Pyramid Heads, no Trappers, no Wraiths, no Onis, etc.
People would only play characters with good base perks, because otherwise they trade 25% of their build for playing their main.
-
Idk what the second one is, but hard no to the first one. You'd only see one or two survivors, and that's not even mentioning killers.

Out of 10 killer matches, 9~10 killers carry BBQ.
Out of 10 survivor matches, 1~2 survivors carry WGLF.
Why is that? I thought both of them give bonus BP? Why's BBQ > WGLF?
Because killers get BBQ for just playing, while survivors have to stop doing gens to get WGLF.

There are but in solo q, I see nobody countering it. It creates a snowball where killer hooks, uses bbq to go to next person, hooks them, comes back for person first hooked. Rinse and repeat. If it wasn’t a good perk then why do all killers use it?
For blood points.
Imo there's really only one killer perk that should be nerfed and it's tinkerer, which is the most oppressive part of Ruin+Undying+Tinkerer, as you can cleanse ruin and undying, but tinkerer allows the killer to always pressure the gen with no skill requirement.

Just a thought i’d post to see what others opinions are on the matter. I’m always wondering how much different the games would be if the killers weren’t able to see the items of which survivors bring in. We aren’t able to see anything of what they bring, and soon we may not be able to see the mori’s. (As far as i’m aware, you can correct me if i’m wrong)
It’s disheartening to play the game knowing your going to be tunnelled and camped because one person decided they wanted to bring in a key. I usually hate using this word, but they all cause a “try hard” attitude with most killers, or they play super salty. We can’t see a Mikey’s Tombstone, or anything else that could change the face of the game for us. We don’t even know which killer it is to properly prepare. So I don’t see why killers get the advantage to build against items brought in.
This is just my personal opinion, and I would love to hear your input as well!
No. Killers can see them now for a reason. You need to be able to see items so you have a chance to prepare for keys, medkits, and flashlights. They can tell a lot about how the survivors are going to play. Killers are underpowered as is, and this is just another nerf to them.

Get good.

I'm guessing you people dont understand. Spirit currently hears at 100% so making it 50% that isn't affected by either perk isn't a buff? That's a straight out nerf, it also means survivors dont need iron will to try counter spirit. She will naturally be harder to hear survivors. Just removes the silly iron will and stridor debates.
That's not a nerf. IW survivors are easier to catch as stridor spirit, because they are easier to pinpoint

With various people saying that this map or that killer should be disabled and so forth, I decided to turn the frequent conversations into something that may be a little more fun. Imagine that you work at BHVR and you have one job: Deleting content that you don't like. You can't go crazy though, you are limited to this:
One map. ONE.
One chapter set of characters. What I mean by this is, say that you want to delete the Twins. Elodie therefore has to go too. Say you want to get rid of Steve Harrington (how could you?), that means that Nancy, the Demogorgon, and all skins go with him. We're not talking about any of the bugs that were introduced with any of the chapters, we're not talking about any previous versions that may have been better before a nerf. We're talking about the characters and the characters only, as they are right now (or were before any bugs that were introduced with this update). For those who were available individually (such as Ash) or those that came with the base game (such as Trapper) you have to choose a member of the base game from the other side to be deleted along with them. Example: If you hate Nea, you have to delete either Trapper, Wraith or Hillbilly as well.
One perk. ONE. Killer or survivor, doesn't matter.
One game mechanic / gameplay feature. This could be the need to build up multiple perk tiers, or the existence of the hatch, or keys, or generator speed, or the ability of killers to camp, etc. Remember, we're not talking about changing or substituting anything, we're talking about looking at a list of things that make this game what it is and being able to press a button to make those things no longer exist.
So there you have it. You must delete ONE map, ONE perk, ONE game mechanic, and ONE set of characters that either came together in a chapter, or, if the character you want to delete didn't come with anybody else, you have to choose a base game character from the other side to be deleted with them. What would you choose? Please, try not to argue. This isn't about survivors vs killers or fair versus unfair. Balance doesn't matter. People losing out on their favorite things doesn't matter. This is all just a hypothetical scenario.
Mother's Dwelling. It's just a huge map with an infinite main building.

What does the killer see for his POV?
The killer doesn't see anything when you window tech them. Also, you do it at the very end of the vault animation.

I leave chase and go towards the gens that are being worked to not waste time, THE GUY I left also works on the gen like a madman while I try to keep them busy another 2 gens pop...I just gave up at that point I had a total of 6 hooks like please tell me what I can do
It sucks, but you need to get better. You can still win matches like that.

Survivors suicide, give up, and point out their comrades all the time. These are problems and artificially inflate the numbers. Worse yet are when a survivor DCs off the bat, since it's highly likely the other 3 are going to die also right after.
Kill Rates should never track any game with a DC.
If they did this, every killrate would 100% drop below 30%

While we're on the subject, is Shadowborn still good for Nurse? I'd like to learn her eventually, but I'm not sure if leveling up Wraith to 40 when he sucks, two out of his three perks are #########, and the third is situational at best is worth it.
Is Shadowborn worth using on anyone other than Nurse, for that matter? I hear people saying it works with her because it negates the temporary blindness caused by her blink cooldown, but does a FOV increase really make that much of a difference for any other killer? I run M&A almost every game, and I don't really even notice that aspect of the perk making a difference.
Yes. It also makes it easier to hit survivors.
