Can't say I've encountered locker baiting enough to think DS should be exhaustion. Either way no, there's no need to remove exhaustion from Head On. It's fine as is.

You were most likely one of those who screamed Freddy was ok when he was released aswell.
No he was still bad then. The problem with Freddy that sets him apart from other killers is that his power can be a legitimate detriment to him. He has to wait 7 seconds to hit someone, meaning he actually lacks basic killer ability to a degree. No other killer has this problem. Even without their power they still have instant M1 to use and their power simply increases what they can do. If you think Ghostface is even close to what Freddy was liked then you clearly had no idea what made him weak to begin with.
-
If you think he's that weak you're not playing him well. No one is gonna claim he's top tier but he's certainly no Freddy.
-
Got to the end of a game as Ghostface recently, ran into all 4 survivors crouching in a train through the map so naturally I joined at the tail end. They reached the Hatch and the first person jumped in with a key followed by the rest. It was very cute honestly and after I messaged their leader saying "noooo take me with youuuu"

Well same can happen with DS, yet DS doesn't cause exhaustion.
Typically with DS you've already used Sprint Burst by the time it's used.
-
Idk why people insist on making his power work through downing with deep wounds. It's the same as pig, you're intended to use it to extend the game, and it only has killing potential to make it actually something you need to deal with

@ClogWench didn't read that part must have missed it. Although, it doesn't make sense having that cosmetic and that low hours. That grind for the mask was god-awful.
He said 30 hours recent so I'm guessing he dropped it for half a year or so and then picked up back up. OP ran into him 30 hours after he restarted.

Pretty clearly not that but go off I guess

You can potentially blame rank reset. Go 2 months without playing and your rank goes to #########. Come back and suddenly you're a god amongst baby Dwights.

Wait, I didn't know there was an exploit. Could I get banned if I keep on playing Sprint Burst Meg?:O
Cops are on their way now. You're going to jail kiddo.

Luck just increases the odds of self unhook. By a mediocre amount too

I wouldn't bank on it. Vampire maybe but definitely not something wholly beastial.

I play killer way more than survivor for this very reason. It's wild the accusations trash make to somehow make it seem like camping is ok. PS I'm typically one of the last ones alive when I play survivor. The DC helps the last person or hurts the killer. Try again.
Didn't say camping was okay. Just that it's funny watching people justify rage quitting. But hey you do you. Doesn't affect me at all.
-
@purebalance7 said:
Also until you implement a blood point penalty for camping that is visibly showing the decrease on the screen, it should be 100% fine for us to implement our own if a camping killer downs us to deny them hook and sacrifice points by disconnecting.
DCing hurts your team more than the Killer. It's wild seeing the hoops survivors jump through to rationalize DCing.
-
Your name is moonwalk Myers so I'm guessing...the moon?
-
Well, you're entitled to your opinions. Personally I think a rework would be a solid step towards overall better game health.
-
@GrootDude Billy certainly has threatening camping potential but his is a single targeted chainsaw swipe, meaning if it misses or hits the person still on the hook, you now have an opportunity to save. Leatherface doesn't give you that at all. He creates an aoe that instantly downs you letting him perfectly protect someone on the hook.
Besides the camping aspect, Leatherface has the problem of faulty add-ons as well as a power that really doesn't give him much leverage at all. A rework would honestly be the best thing for him and anyone facing him.

will iron will do the job?
Iron Will is a much better choice than Resilience or Spine Chill imo. Definitely a good option.

they did, it was called BBQ and chilli.
But survivors got it nerfed.
To be fair, it's also locked behind a paywall.

Camping is bigger than LF, billy can also do it, any killer can do it. LF doesn’t need reworked.
Every other killer you can at least work around to a degree. Leatherface has a oneshot AOE meaning if he wants to keep the survivor on the hook there's absolutely nothing you can do to stop him. He does honestly need a rework since that's the only pro his ability has.
-
It doesn't go away but it does become less common the higher rank you get, both because killers realize its a poor strategy, and because survivors are learning to loop and evade more effectively. Not necessarily a solution but practicing looping is a solid way of making rounds more fun in the future
-
Sprint Burst. It basically ensures if me and a teammate run away at the same time, I end up getting targeted. And it makes it easier for the killer to catch them on their own later
-
@NoShinyPony I meant dedicated servers specifically, not PS4 crashing. I haven't had any issues today so I assumed it was fixed, but i guess not. That said I imagine there's just nothing for them to update us on. They said they're aware and they're looking into it, that's about the best one can expect

Cosmetics can't be "outdated". They have no bearing on the game do it's really only a matter of preference. They're a bit steep I'll admit but unlike games with lootbox systems, DbD let's you get them outright. And again, they have no impact on gameplay meaning they can cost any amount and it's honestly fair. If they were cheaper people might buy more though. I feel better paying 2-3 bucks here and there than I do shelling out $10 on a single outfit for a single character. I'd be more inclined to buy cosmetics occasionally if they were cheaper. Instead they're not getting more from me by charging more, I'm just choosing not to buy them at all.

Game isn't dying anytime soon really.

I play survivor and killer. It just happens that when I analyze the game from an objective point of view, and looking at quality of player experience and how to equalize and maximum its potential, I see that survivors usually could use a little help. And this is a core issue I'd like to see hashed out in order to strengthen further suggestions
People who are biased often don't think they're biased. I think tbh has issues balancing solo vs co-op play, as well as a brutal difficulty curb. New and low rank players have a terrible time as survivor because they don't know how to properly best a killer, while higher tier killers have a bad time against equally good survivors who actually know how to make full use of all the tools they have. The advantage one side has over the other is often based on player skill.
-
Some killers feel entitled to a 4k. Some survivors feel entitled to an escape. Making it an us vs them situation just worsens matters though.
-
Any game gets boring if you play enough of it. Just play something else

That's latency babe

I agree with your reasoning. I dislike anything that incentivizes players to abandon their teammates to play selfishly, which the old hatch did in comparison. But that's just players being selfish, which still happens all the time.
However, The survivor makes a lot of sound which the killer can use to create some security then go in visual range of a gen to make sure hes not being made a fool.
My only point is that it was more exciting and interesting. Even on killer side. Not about survivors ethics or why the hatch was introduced in the first play, or games being held hostage (which btw is only possible if both killer and survivor are lazy/bad) it just happened too much that they changed it.
You're telling me, as a killer, lapping from door to door 12 times until you see red lights. That's fun?
Lapping might not be fun but at least the killer has a chance now. The old hatch standoff, unless the survivor was an absolute idiot, the killer could not win. As for the killer using sounds to tell if the survivor is close, that unfortunately doesn't work since the hatch noise is blaring loudly in your ears. You can argue it all you want but it was a terrible feature and was the reason people slugged for the 4k so much, because you effectively lost otherwise.
-
This is like arguing that apples are unoriginal because oranges exist. Sure in an extremely basic say some are similar but with actual detail they're nothing alike. Trapper functions absolutely nothing like Hag. Spirit functions nothing like Wraith. They're all very unique concepts and more unique designs.

If you stand on the hatch for 20 minutes, 17 of those minutes would be on the ending lobby screen. Because a survivor with a brain will have done the remaining gens.
@ClogWench Btw you seem very frustrated and resentful. I'm just voicing my opinion and I'm sure others who play the game like I do would agree with me here. Your arguments are more or less just attacking me as a person....
Which is the problem the old hatch had. You couldn't leave it cause if you weren't in grabbing range you lost. The survivor could freely leave it without consequence though. The survivor had all the tools to win just because they let their team die. No, the old hatch was garbage and now it's gone for that reason. Get used to it.
-
I mean no disrespect to the winners, everyone put in a lot of effort and creativity but....not necessarily the winners i would have picked. Especially considering Clown isn't the most exciting character to play

The old hatch wasnt perfect but it is much better than what we have now, in terms of interesting gameplay. Not ending games faster or killers deserving a free kill because they managed to get the other 3.
The last survivor should be the hardest to catch.
The fact that you consider standing afk on the hatch for 20 minutes to be more interesting gameplay than actually outsmarting the killer for an escape has basically erased any chance of me ever taking a word you say seriously. Better learn to like the new hatch cause I doubt you'll ever see the hatch standoff return.

If Killers are the one taking the Hatch hostage, then why don't Survivors leave to do gens?
It's useless to argue with this guy, he's truly convinced the old hatch was okay and you can't change the mind of someone that delusional.
-
Dude you do realize you still need to put in effort and skill to make digital art. It's just a different medium, it's not like the computer generates the art for you.

Why the hatch exists is irrelevant. The effects of what the hatch adds to the game are important. And as both killer and survivor, old hatch stand offs were more enjoyable and allowed more expansive style play which I believe is universally more enjoyable than either no hatch, or door standoffs.
What are you smoking that you think old hatch standoffs were enjoyable. You just stand there. That's it. Eventually the killer gets tired and hits you or walks away and you win.
-
And then you get unhooked by someone else or it fails and suddenly you've wasted half of your perks for absolutely nothing.
-
Congrats to the winners. I won't be getting either of these myself but the concepts are interesting at least. Really shocked the Clown won.
-
Same here
-
The hatch ONLY exists because survivors would refuse to play if they were the only one left and would instead drag a lost game out for as long as they could. You don't get a free win for actively losing the game. You get the opportunity to win if you're lucky/clever but that's it. By that point you've squandered your advantages. Be lucky you're still given 2 potential ways out
-
I'll go through the rest later but that Decisive Strike means there's 0 risk of unsafe unhooks whatsoever and outright encourages tunneling
