Doc has less use than Bubba, he needs a fixup desperately

They also said it'll be a small tweak, if anything. Acting like the sky is falling before anything happens just makes you look silly

Rare as it is, I agree with you on this one. It's a bad call on their part. It could really help the overall health of the game for solos and it's disappointing to see the devs steer the opposite direction.
-
I've always thought it was an advantage as long as they work properly

B&C kills more people in low ranks than all the killers together
A perk shouldn't be nerfed because new players can't use their myriad of counters
-
If the killer isn't skilled it should be no problem to loop him until a gate is opened
-
Survivors complain about camping and then want the killers anti-camping incentive nerfed into the dirt
-
Watch them patch this out asap

It starts immediately when the gates are powered when I play killer lol. I always open that gate ASAP to start the collapse. Also if you aren't affected by a hex why do bones? Playing around every perk a killer could conceivably have is the kind of paranoia that gets you in the loony bin.
Maybe so, but playing around an extremely common perk that can be very powerful if not dealt with is a good idea.
-
It's super easy to use so I'm seeing it constantly. It's a good indication of why freely activating Sprint Burst is OP
-
Trapper has 6 traps regularly so I assume 6. And yeah you can pick them up after they're disarmed or tripped but NOT after they've been sabotaged.
-
Trapper gets all his traps in his inventory at the start of the match. Traps can be disarmed but NOT sabotaged.
-
If I were to nerf adrenaline I'd just make it only proc in a chase

You could also block off powerful loops..
Slowly, a limited number of times, until someone comes around and disarms it. Not to mention survivors can outright remove your power entirely. He might not be bottom tier but you can't possibly put him with Nurse or Hag.

True but still exhaustion doesnt go down mid chase so ehh
That's a mechanic, still not a drawback. It's still a positive effect with 0 drawback.

Theres ways to counter the exhaustion perks some killers have add on that gives it like doctor huntress and a few others i think could be wrong
I'm not counting select add-ons that low tier killers may or may not be running. An add-on is not reliable counter play, nor is it a drawback of the perk.

Balanced Landing can be troublesome in certain maps, but otherwise, the perk is balanced around exhaustion and drop points.
Sprint Burst doesn't give you control on whether or not the perk activates, unless you're always walking around, which is very slow.
Borrowed Time doesn't make both survivors immune, which means the savior can be downed and hooked.
Iron Will is a stealthy perk, but stealth isn't really viable in Dead by Daylight, so I'm okay with it.
First I want to clarify that I'm not claiming any of these perks are broken by any means in their current condition.
Listing things these perks DON'T do means very little, since those aren't drawbacks. Like saying a drawback of NOED is that it doesn't reveal survivor auras. It's just not relevant.
These perks(and most others) all have their own restrictions but not drawbacks. The survivor gets a wholly positive outcome with 0 cost and typically minimal effort. The big difference being that the killer has little to no way to actually counter or stop these. Which is fine. NOED is a risk free perk because even if cleansed, the killer gets extra time during the match as a result so you're guaranteed to benefit at least a little.

Perks like Technician doesn't have much of an impact to the game, so they don't need a condition nor a downside.
Lightweight is in the same boat with Technician, you won't be able to tell a difference to be honest.
See I was thinking perks like Balanced Landing, Sprint Burst, Borrowed Time, Iron Will, etc. Ones that are strong and don't have any downside.

Bigger terror radius, a 4th tier of madness with tier effects altered. In 4th tier you lose the ability to interact with pallets and vaults. Shock therapy becomes a left handed ability that no longer has to be toggled.

The devs have said a lot of things. They change their mind pretty frequently. You don't have to read these posts, you know.
¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯ And yet I do anyway

People are saying that "killer failed becouse he didn't kill all 4 before gens got done"
No he didn't fail.. or are you saying you are getting 4kills EVERY round before 5 gens get completed?
The game is balanced araund 2 kills 2 survive, so on the average 2 survivors are "guaranteed" to get adrenaline. So statistically if killer manages to kill all 4 before 5 gens are completed it reguires survivors to fail
A lot of Survivors think 5 gens instantly means they won and if the killer gets them after that it's a "free kill". They rushed to the next stage without preparing for it and got bodied as a result. It's just an easy scapegoat for failure.

You make a good point there. And the reason I think the both are comparable is because they both activate after the gens are all done and both can have huge impacts on the game from that point on
They activate at the same time, sure, but one is a last-stand that gives you a bit of leverage in the end of the game when you don't have any (NOED) while the other rewards you for reaching that stage. Only the game has now shifted so that people just neglect an aspect of the game to rush through to the end of it. They might have opposite effects but that doesn't make them really comparable.
-
I don't think they're comparable perks. Adrenaline itself doesn't need a change as much as gen speed does. When it's quicker to power through 2-3 remaining gens than to heal, that's what makes Adrenaline strong. Deal with genrush and you deal with Adrenaline.
-
The fun thing about noed threads is knowing all the complaints go nowhere because the devs said they're not changing it.
-
Wait really? All this time and I didn't know Surveillance let you hear gens from further away. In that case, yeah, strongly agree @screamdreamsx
-
Iron Maiden is overrated on her. Personally I like BBQ, Pop Goes the Weasel, Bloodhound and Discordance
-
@CrispyChestnuts said:
Maybe noed could put all the healthy survivors in the injured state and give deep wounds and mangle all survivors. Now that there's a countdown at the end of the match, there's much less of an argument that you can just do bones after you find out they took noed.
Do bones before opening the gate. The timer doesn't start immediately after the gates are powered.

lol this is funny.
Exploits are exploits yes, I agree with that but when it's affecting killers the forums go insane and start finger pointing.
The finger pointing shouldn't be on each other.
You're all paying customers and should demand immediate fixes, constant bug reports, in-game reports, e-mails.
Shockingly, more than one party can be at fault for something. Bugs like this shouldn't be happening every week, but players exploiting them despite knowing better should be punished accordingly for doing so too.
-
Yeah I honestly can't say the animations seem like a big deal. It just sounds like you need to take losing less seriously. It's 12 seconds, it's not the end of the world.
-
People complain about NOED not requiring effort on the killers part to activate but survivors have plenty of perks that give them benefit for no real effort and with no downside.

yeah im happy too as survivor. he is so easy to loop and play against. u have control over his power and even if he gets to mark you, you just run some loops until its gone :) really fun to play against him.
If you think his power is just being able to mark people then you're facing some pretty low skill Ghostfaces.
-
I've stopped using Ruin in favor of Corrupted Intervention on Hag, but unfortunately that doesn't work as well with the rest of the killers
-
They're uncommon enough and on weak enough killers that I don't think theyre a problem honestly. If killers can have their powers broken by an item or perk then why should I feel bad about a survivor missing out on just one of their perks ?
-
Learn to track through sound and being blinded during pallet breaks won't matter at all.

Bubba is a solid B tier killer if played right.
I'm willing to bend and say maybe C tier but B tier is EXTREMELY generous for a killer with nearly nothing going for him at present.
-
Myers or Freddy. One is simply indestructible, the other barely adheres to the laws of reality.

Lmao dude what do you expect killers to do?
I'm not saying I'm against tunneling (though in most cases it's not a very good tactic unless you're already losing), but like. Killer has other ways of playing besides tunneling at least. Survivors goals is straight up JUST generators. The concept of "tunneling gens" is blatantly stupid.
-
When I was a new killer the biggest problem I had was a sharp difficulty spike once I started getting matched against greens and purples. I was using primarily low tier killers like Freddy and Hag(this was before her trap setting speed got buffed) so all of a sudden I went from consistent 3-4ks to getting completely demolished time after time. Got better as I got more used to it but the spike felt very abrupt and I can see why it turns a lot of players off from playing killer.

@PolarBear said:

Tunneling is a viable strategy until survivors start to realize the game isn't fun when you're being targeted and move on to something better and you'll be twiddling your thumbs in the lobby thinking "Why are the queues so bad BHVR?!"
If you want the lifetime of this game to last longer you should be thinking about the fun of other people. I play fair because I like the game and want to be able to play it for many years to come.
Considering it's been 3 years and it's still a problem I doubt tunneling is gonna be the death of DbD.
-
@DBD_Pinhead said:
Why is it ok for survivors to tunnel gens but killers can't tunnel survivors? Oh yeah, it gets in the way of their "fun".

Kate: bard
David: berserker
-
Funny how you never hear survivors complain about Blood Warden "rewarding killers for losing" the way they do Rancor and NOED
-
Unfortunately it's a tough one. An oversight by the devs forces you to actively ignore survivors in order to play fair. Personally I've been talking advantage of it when I can but not going out of my way to do so.
-
It's preference. Some people prefer getting other survivors to heal them, other's prefer to do it themselves. Both are fair.

I will admit I'm tired of killers with a cooldown on their ability
