Changed OK, but made boring to play are two different things.
I don't understand why you try to adverse every legion related topic, if you had spent a decent amount of money on something which is way worse than it was, wouldn't you want it to have it OK?
I don't mean having the old legion, I mean having a killer who is interesting and fun to play. Current legion is boring, weak and has nothing special about them.
Some improvements are needed
I'm not saying changes aren't needed. He functions mid tier but he's boring as hell. All I'm saying is when it comes to buying dlc, you're consciously choosing to risk not getting what you paid for, especially when it's something that's clearly not working in its initial state.
-
I support it. If they implement an optional voice channel they can finally work to balance the game around survivors having that kind of communication.
-
Well believe what you want. The premise is the same but apparently only acceptable for one side.

Not if it doesn't work because one other person is running it. I said nothing about killers cleansing anything.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/576709#Comment_576709
Yes it still does. They might not see it. Killer might interrupt in time. He might have TotH. Etc. If OoO is removed because another survivor is running it then it literally has no chance.
I'm not talking about those situations, I'm talking about the situations when it does get busted immediately without the killer being able to stop it. In the same sense that you're not talking about the situations when you bring OoO and either no one else has it or you won the obsession coin toss. You're only talking about the scenario where a perk is immediately disabled because of bad luck. Which is the exact comparison I'm making.

That doesn't make sense because a hex at least needs to be cleansed and has a chance to affect the game.
If it spawns immediately next to a survivor, which it often does, then no it doesn't have a chance.

Sounds like he has good taste

I mean yeah that's bad RNG too but not really the same thing.
-
There's also perks like Devour Hope and Make Your Choice. One big problem with all these though is that they're locked behind paywalls (devour hope not always but the other two) and the leverage they give isn't fantastic overall. DH is strong but also a Hex(and as a result is weaker with Ruin)

situation, you started the match with OoO, and you arent the obsession. Congrats, now you are running 3 perks.
Yeah wouldn't it suck if luck and RNG ended up removing one of your perks immediately in the game? *CoughHexescough*

BBQ was a reward for not camping but unfortunately survivors kicked up a fit about it until it got nerfed and now it has a lot of counter play that ends up encouraging camping.
-
I'm open to adding it to small game.
-
People spamming the forum with Legion threads isn't going to make the devs drop everything and rework them again.

@My_Farewell said:
Weird, i mainly play as a survivor but i don't mind moris at all. If killers want to mori me i'll just eat it and look for a new match.
Both sides got strong addons/offerings, and if we nerf one side we'll need to nerf the other side too, resulting in boring and predictable matches.
Good on you that you don't take Moris too hard, really. I mostly play killer and avoid using Moris unless I encounter a toxic player or group I've faced before because I find it really breaks the pace of the game. The advantage they give for effectively no downside is significantly too high for an offering imo. Stuff like Devour Hope or the Cypress Mori are fine cause you've put in the work but being able to effectively eliminate 2/3rds of the survivors health states is a huge amount of leverage. But this isn't a Mori debate so I won't go on.
As for Franklin's, personally I think it's bogus that survivors get to keep their items after winning a match when killers always lose them so I can't say I feel particularly bad about that.

Moris completely negate DS
They do and most people are in agreement that Moris need to go
-
Yeah I haven't played killer in like a week now cause the framerate is horrendous
-
If you're not rank 1 most killers honestly function decently well provided you know how to get the most out of their abilities.
-
David feels too conventional. He's an easy answer. I like Dwight cause he's cute and nerdy

Everyone who plays multiplayer games, knows that changes happen, but usually those changes are like: "let us nerf ability X and make it 2% slower, let us buff the damage of abilitiy Y on 1%".
The changes are usually not a whole redesign of payed content and everyone who is then upset, just shows that he is still a normal human being and still knows the value of money, even in times like those we live in.
But you are right, I also think that the devs will need some time to realize that they have make something wrong.
Same by me - I had bought the Legion dlc and then a skin for Susie. Would the patch not had happen, I would have also bought a new skin Julie. And that just yet about what I had planned to buy concerning the Legion and not the other things I had also on my map, until that "accident" had happend.
I think the devs handled it poorly and I think they rushed out a fix that would satisfy survivors without really considering Legions fans, and yeah that's unfair to them. But I still think a bit of responsibility lies with those who purchased them. From day 1 it was extremely obvious that Legion had major problems that would have to be addressed sooner than later. To most regular players, it should have been exceptionally clear that when they bought Legion, what they paid for would be changed. Realistically he never should have left the PTB in that condition but he did and from that point it was the player who was gambling their money by buying him. He might get a rework someday but considering the time it takes to do that it's gonna be a long time.
-
"Change my mind" posts are always made by people who have no intention of listening to the other side and already 100% believe they're right. It's a stupid concept and people waste their time trying to give their reasoning to someone who's acting like a child with their fingers in their ears shouting "I CANT HEAR YOU". Thankfully the devs already said they feel NOED is fine so you thinking it's unfair doesn't matter.
-
@DBDbuildsYT said:
Maybe people will stop complaining about legion when legion will be made OK once again.
Legion needs to be fixed, I spent over 25$ on legion and I am expecting a killer who is fun to play, not a god killer but a decent one who is fun
Anytime you buy something in this game you have to do so knowing that it could be changed. I wouldn't get my hopes up on Legion being changed again anytime soon.
-
@OpenYoureyes said:
They will be forced to do it given how the playerbase numbers went in the last 10 month.
Common consensus is that 100 usd is too much for a game in this status.
Considering the average amount of players increased within the last year I'd say that's entirely false. Not too mention it's not $100, adding the price of the DLC doesn't count cause none of it is necessary
-
Any attempt to punish camping killers ended up being abused by survivors so they couldn't implement it
-
If you're using Legion to chain FF hits then you're missing the purpose of him entirely.
-
The only logical choice
-
Oof survivors are really pissed they aren't getting their free escapes for hiding anymore huh
-
I hope its not tribal themed cause there's literally no tasteful way to make a tribal killer. Plus it ends up propagating the notion of tribalism being scary and evil.
-
Worst thing I've faced was a 3 gen doctor on the bottom floor of the game with Overcharge and Overwhelming/Unnerving Presence(small skill checks). Wouldn't hook anyone, would just go between 3 extremely close gens to stop us repairing them. I was relatively new too so the skill checks were obscenely hard to handle.
He ended up inviting us to a voice chat where be talked about how good of a killer he was and how he usually played survivor and just wanted to show how easy killer was. Obviously it wasn't a particularly uncommon strategy but consider we were all rank 18-20 and this guy had clearly invested a lot in Doc (P2 and had Ruin and Lullaby 3 on him too) so it seemed likely be deranked to face us.
-
She disrupts survivors ability to survive every trial they enter. She's strong so Survivor mains feel she's unfair and want her nerfed.

Perk: Getting Wood
You're skilled at working wood with your hands. You can collect scraps of wood anywhere a killer has broken a pallet. After collecting 6/5/4 scraps you can reconstruct a pallet.
-
Survivors are sacrificed 50% faster in the basement
For every survivor hooked in the basement receive a token up to 2/3/4 tokens. You gain a 25% bonus to bloodpoints (applied post-trial)
-
Coming upon a survivor protecting another one while they cleanse a totem only to 1 shot both of them because they cleansed Haunted Grounds.

The same as all the other characters. Kate is the same height as all the other females, and Jake is the same height as all the other males.
I was under the impression Jeff and David used a slightly different model but I'm probably wrong on that. Either way different heights would be nice

I do this with Gollum Hag. Just play to protect my hex totems. Or no blink bamboozle nurse. I don't care about hooking. I enjoy the chasing and hitting and moving on to the next survivor on my totem or in my way. Lately I seem to enjoy these games the most--- less pressure and anxiety to pip and do well.
Most people seem to enjoy the change....but then there are survivors who don't understand the memeing. As seen below

Reworking killers doesnt bring money to the table.
In a roundabout way it does. Plenty of killers drop the game because of the huge difficulty curb that only a few killers can alleviate. Doctor is fun but suddenly it's impossible to win with him so you lose interest.
Survivors get bored of facing the same 3 killers constantly. Most stay, plenty leave though after losing interest.
Reworking killers keeps things fresh and new and gives the community renewed interest and greater variety. That keeps players. Players who buy dlc and cosmetics.
-
I get what you're saying and I agree. Generally any killer with a lower base speed has tools to make up for it and that's what we should be hoping for. Killers without effective mobility are generally bad with Huntress being an obvious exception since she doesn't have to travel as far.
-

That would probably be this time a Legion and a Claudette worked together to bleed everyone out.
The Legion just used her as a Killer Instinct spammer to find and slug everyone else. It took a while, but after slugging everyone they waited for the bleedout timers to expire. The other 2 Survivors DC'ed, but I just read a book and waited until I bled out to leave the game.
Afterwards I got racist and sexist slurs messaged to me by both the Legion and Claudette for not DC'ing and wasting their time.
I love that they blamed you for wasting THEIR time. Truly icing on the cake.

@Pokino said:
The idea of a Legion incrasing his power chaining hits should be the way of the killer must work. Now he is a joke, just a free hit and then looping as an idiot.
People using his power for the free hit is the reason they lose. You need to use his power to damage an entire team very fast. Of course he's still boring to play but not useless.

@Dehitay said:
Survivor health progress is already slowed down if killer is in a certain range. Stopping it just gets abused by survivors who are more likely to hook camp than the killer. What BHVR should actually do is make the 8 meter killer aura reveal from Kindred baseline and then rework Kindred to where the hooked survivor gets a percentage of objective points from all generator repairs while on the hook, and all other survivors get 15/20/25% faster gen repair speed while the killer is in 8 meters of a survivor hooked using Kindred.
To my knowledge that first bit is false. Survivor health goes down at a steady rate regardless of killer proximity.
-
Survivors can already finish gens fast. Any tool that punishes a killer for camping can and will be exploited by survivors to bully the killer.

So,its human to run at supernatural speed for 3 seconds.
Its human to fall from 15 + meters and recovering almost immediately to sprint at supernatural speed for 3 seconds.
its human to apply an endurance effect for a limited amount of time to a survivor you unhook.
I could go on.
The speed is literally just sprinting. Anyway there's definitely a difference in the suspension of disbelief between someone dropping from a high place unharmed vs someone turning invisible

@ClogWench There was an alcove I could sit in and hear them before they could see me, and there was 3 gens.

@AetherBytes said:
Im gonna admit this one, I play insidious Legion. Standing on hatch as insidious legion in the game map makes it impossible to win the gam, since you can only tell where the hatch is by walking into view of the killer.
They can just do gens. Plus you can find the hatch without being in view of the killer just by using 3rd person camera
