I was thinking about this as well, I don't have the best PC. I play this game on an HP Pavilion Laptop Currently on low settings with resolution of 40%, it's relatively smooth but lately I've been running into problems after patch 3.0.0. where my textures don't render and sometimes I'll get weird stutters in game.
I think console would relieve me of most of these issues I'm experiencing, and a more consistent frame rate with better graphics on a console does sound appealing which is the primary reason I'm looking into buying it for console. With my computer and with bugs related to textures for PC optimization, it seems console could just be right for me.
What are your thoughts?
PS4 framerate is a nightmare. Occasionally it gets better, then suddenly worse. Lately it's been nearly unplayable because of it. So put that down for a con

But MCote is only involved with DbD. If it was a new game why would he tweet a reply to Netflix?
Stranger Things is already getting two new games made by other companies. Another one made by Behaviour would be overkill.
Stranger Things has done crossovers with Fortnite, Minecraft, and Roblox. Why not DbD?
First off I was under the impression he worked on more than just DbD. Even if he IS just doing DbD that doesn't mean he can't work on anything else.
Secondly, I never said anything about a Stranger Things game, I said I think it's going to be for a DIFFERENT series. Everyone just immediately jumped onto the Stranger Things hype train.
And third, I'm not saying it wont be Stranger Things. I'm not saying it can't be Stranger Things. All I'm saying is theres a LOT of other possibilities that it could be and people just have this tunnel vision as soon as Stranger Things becomes a slight possibility.
-
Honestly just be steady and consistent with it. The faster you go the more likely you are to actually not press fully and the game will think you stopped. Same with wiggling, just be consistent with it and you're fine
-
Legion is designed to track survivors and dish out damage everywhere to slow things down. If you're using Legion in a similar way as Wraith then you're using him extremely wrong. That said I do agree he could use a slight speed increase, if not to running then to vaulting.
-
I'd be open to getting rid of some pallets in favor of more interesting variety provided they DONT extend the chase longer than it is already. If you're having trouble with going down fast then that's an issue with your gameplay, not the game itself. Overall the survivor has the advantage in a chase.

@Clogwench Deathgarden is a separate team he doesn't have much of anything to do with. That's the only other collaboration that would make a lot of sense other than a completely brand new game.
Which is why I'm saying I'm expecting a brand new game. It could be dead by daylight but I think people are jumping the gun way too fast considering the amount of other possibilities.

is this thing even a human? it looks like a monster. bhvr is only doing human killers tho
They're also not doing clowns so don't expect a clown killer anytime soon.
Fr tho it's a monster but it has a humanoid body structure so it's not out of the question.

He’s the head honcho of DbD.
I mean yes but isn't he also just in general part of BHVR? His involvement isn't proof that it's DbD related.

Unlikely considering this tweet:

I'm sure that means something but I'll be damned if I can find the correlation...

It's more expensive on console and dlc costs more too. If you already play on PC id skip buying it on console cause the only pro is less nurses

I sincerely like main killer, I use the mori as an anti rush tool, if the survivors play only rush gens, because I have no other option than to use it. I think that the mentality that the survivors have is not repair but rush. One thing is to repair, and another thing is to go from gens to gens.
You can't reasonably blame genrush on survivors, that's just them playing effectively. In a similar way you can't blame killers for Mori killrush because that's just them playing effectively too. At the end of the day it's a flaw with the game itself

Blah Blah Blah was everything I read of your ridiculous comment, will train to be a better killer goes there, bye have a good day :)
Oof, someone's bitter. Well it's not gonna change regardless, at least not by much from what it is now. Balanced and still widely used. I can see them shortening stun time in the near future tho since the Enduring nerf took away the need for an extended stun time.

Survivor: not a fan of any of the Autohaven Wreckers maps. Bright and relatively open, just with lots of low clutter.
Killer: Mt Ormond because they STILL haven't fixed the auras on that map.
-
Personally I feel like BHVR is gonna make a Fallout Shelter/Westworld-esque mobile game for one of Netflix's other originals
-
Hate playing as Wraith. Don't care who defends him, he has 0 pressure and his stealth is awful.
For survivors it has to be Feng Min, she's just too loud and whiny. Even as killer I prioritize killing Fengs to minimize how often I have to hear her.
-
Frankly they should be removed in exchange for being able to freely kill a survivor who's on death hook anyway. It's just a poorly thought mechanic that really has no business being in the game

Overcooked 2

Steve Harington by a long shot

God I'm glad I'm a hag main, that loop looks nasty

Complaining about Huntress' Lullaby... :lal:
Right? Since when is Lullaby crutch

Legion is the real clown let's be real
-
The big problem with Legion is that with 4 of them a lot of people feel like each member is entitled to the same amount of cosmetics but it's sadly just not realistic (or fair) for one killer to get 4x the treatment.
-
Is that really so bad though? Other abilities could be tweaked to avoiding being overwhelmingly broken but as a killer, especially one known for having the best tracking, I feel like it could be good and would give solid inventive to get out of dream state. And it'd be much truer to his character. I don't think this new Freddy will be terrible but it doesn't sound like he'll see much top tier play cause all his abilities have limitations
-
Frankly my only criticism is the lack of Aura reading. Takes a lot out of the "you can run but you can't hide" aspect

It's to prevent people from picking up and dropping survivors 3-4 times to keep gens locked down for an entire minute. If it wouldn't be a good strategy then you could at least needlessly extend games with it.
Oh now that makes sense actually
-
@LordGlint said:
@ClogWench Dunno why it has such a huge cooldown anyway. How could you POSSIBLY abuse this perk?
I assume it's to prevent killers from getting way too much out of it if they're quickly snowballing hooks, but considering that's not easy to do, it doesn't seem like a necessary limitation.
-
Oh those are marked closed only in this subforum because they were moved. The thread will take you to the same thread but open in the proper subforum.
-
It usually seems pretty self evident and typically those who get a thread closed are warned personally about it. Mods probably don't want to call anyone out publically about it.
-
Okay if it's 1 of each then yeah I can get behind that actually.
@Milo said:
"fully repair a Generator" You mean like from 0-100% or just equilavent. (how do you write that)
I assume as in simply completing it rather than just making repair progress
-
@Tsulan said:
16 seconds is a joke. To actually have an impact, it should be somewhere around 60 seconds. Making people choose between waiting 60 seconds or risking the attention of the killer.
Honestly yeah, especially since it has that cooldown already too. At least make it threatening.
-
Problem with TT is once you know the killer has it you can just let go of a gen and just wait out the 16 seconds in safety
-
@Entità said:
@ClogWench Do you think a survivor should repair 0 gens in the whole trial?
I just don't think survivors need to get stacks for literally everything. Totems sure but not gens.
-
That'd just make it too much honestly. And it'd mostly invalidate the other 3 exhaustion perks too.
-
Drop the gen condition and I'd be up for it.
-
@anarchy753 I wasn't aware he was free, that changes things slightly then. Not that it seemed like a big deal either way
-
I don't think this change is going to increase the amount of items and add-ons you see as much as you're expecting it to.
-
@Hangmans Trick yeah you kinda are lol
-
Luck as a stat doesn't affect chests, but you can just get generally lucky. The 2% doesn't affect that though.

@ClogWench Personally, I feel like the whole addon system should be completely reworked from the ground up. Theres no way to balance a game around consumable addons where the balancing aspect of it is "rarity". Working within whats already IN the game however...this is what I figured would be best...
Maybe so but that's a tall order to fill and considering it would alter some fundamentals of the game, isn't likely to happen. For now, I think the BP gain increase is gonna be a huge step toward increasing game health and I'm very excited for this change to go live
-
This is it, this is how you listen to your players and give them what they need to enjoy the game (now we just need an additional overall boost to reduce the grind but this is a solid start)
-
Someone say Landorus?
-
I don't think the gameplay impact will change much, and frankly it's worth it if I can get more than 2 killer games in the span of an hour
-
I'm imagining if they give him teachables they'll just lock Borrowed Time, Left Behind and Unbreakable behind a sudden paywall
-
I'm not sure it really works that way. They'd have to essentially redo every cosmetic in the game to accomodate the changes and that's a ridiculous amount of work.
-
Good god, I don't want to see sabotage become any more commonplace. I can only see it ending in more slugging games
-
Hag traps can't be triggered through walls
-
I can't imagine looking at this rework and thinking it's a nerf. No one's saying it's top tier but I'm definitely expecting him to be solid mid tier which frankly I'm okay with
